Set up a COVID vaccine (have had other CIVID and flu vaccines there). They came back to me and said my insurance (same one I've always had) won't cover the vaccine cost, so they won't be able to give it to me. I asked the cost out of pocket and it was $190. I left, got in my car and went to a different pharmacy company (not RiteAid). I asked if my insurance would cover a COVID vaccine, they took a couple minutes and said everything is fine. I got my vaccine. I don't know what game this RiteAid is playing, but I recommend going elsewhere. read more

Well if you like waiting on your prescriptions this is the place for you. We call in and set the time that we want our prescription ready. Well it never is done on time. They tell us to return in 15 minutes every time. This is not acceptable. If you have a disability forget it. And sometimes all the seats are taken. People getting vaccinations. We just don't have the extra time to wait and be inconvenienced. The pharmacist and staff are always nice. I have had better service at Tor Med Pharmacy in Torrance. It's a longer drive for us but this is not worth it. We get called every year from them wishing us a Happy Birthday and how much they value us as customers. They also get busy but your prescription is always ready. read more

This Rite Aid is my back-up to the Gaffey Street locale, probably only because it's just a tad further from the house than the other store. Well that and it's not as "animated" as the Gaffey Street store either. No shady folks hang in' 'round here... I love the crazies!!! But, since it's a Rite Aid, it has the same phenomenal prices on beer, wine and liquor as the other, and anyone who knows me, understands that's my major draw. Parking is plentiful, (unlike the Gaffey location), and for the weak of heart, it's probably a bit "safer" that the Gaffey store. Great selection of miscellaneous tidbits, onsite pharmacy, (not that I use it), and a great selection of their bad ass ice cream for the dairy lover in all of us!!! Customer service can be slow and sketchy but I'll put up with it to save a few bucks on my 12'r of Rolling Rock, Stella, Angry Orchard, etc... I really like this Rite Aid. They greet everyone as soon as you walk in. It's always clean, the lines move quick and they have a good selection of products that you may need. The dangerous part about coming here is walking from aisle to aisle...you tend to just pick stuff up that you don't necessarily need. It's like going to Target or Walmart sometimes. One of the main reasons why I visit is for the ice cream. I grew up on Thrifty ice cream with the chocolate chip being my favorite. I've recently discovered Medieval Madness, which is bomb and I also love the iconic butter pecan, the rainbow sherbet and the birthday cake. Their ice cream has not changed after so many years. It even has the same name of "Thrifty Ice Cream." And most importantly, the prices are the bomb and they always fill your container up! Today, I got a two scoop in a cup of both chocolate chip and medieval madness. She filled the cup up with the equivalent of 4 scoops!! Wow! Talk about customer service! Too bad to see some bummer reviews about this Rite Aid because my experiences with this store and even more so with the pharmacy (particularly with the staff) have been unmatched in terms of absolutely wonderful. This is the best pharmacy I have ever been to. Absolutely have to mention the staff members at the pharmacy Keilon and Ernesto. They both (but especially Keilon who has happened to be there during most of my visits!) have gone above and beyond to assist me with insurance/ medical challenges multiple times. As someone who lives with a disability, having pharmacists and pharmacy staff members that have your back and know you by name (in a good way) makes all the difference in a country with a less than perfect healthcare system. I hope so much that this can be my permanent pharmacy for many many years. In general, this rite aid is quite clean and nice and the other staff members have been very nice as well. They are conveniently located in a great shopping center with a nice starbucks and a huge Albertsons amongst other business. Thanks again to the wonder staff here. This was the Third time I arrived before closing time and door was locked. First instance I was told they lock up the doors early because employees need to leave on time. Second time, he let me in but rushed me out. This evening again door was locked. It was not 9 pm.. Robert took a few minutes to open the door and I said you locked the door before closing. His rude comment back to me was the HE did not do it. I said yes door was locked. I asked if I could grab something. He said No. WOW... it's such a shame that this rude behavior by a manager or at least someone with Keyes thinks that's is acceptable. read more

Store is inviting to enter. Lighting bright, air temperature cool and refreshing during these recently hot and muggy summer days. Staff are pleasant and always available to greet shoppers at the counter once you enter the store. Merchandise in good stock and seasonal sales are fantastic. Just bought some yard art items yesterday at 60% off. The pharmacy is very popular and usually has several customers being served. Several staff appear to be on duty the times I've visited, but sometimes there's a bit of a wait. Seating is available though and the counter staff move energetically and quickly to get any customers who are or have been waiting served. Also, they're good about alerting customers (via text message in my case) that refills have been received from my doctors' offices and when they're available for pickup. They now even deliver within a certain distance from the store Overall. I always have positive experiences at this location. Really love my local Rite Aid store. read more

Came in for a quick beer run and can vouch that Rite-Aid always seems to have the best deals for alcohol. Most of my friends never believe me when I mention Rite-Aid, but every time I take them, they are actually amazed at how true it is! Also...Muhammed, the cashier, is very friendly! We had a good conversation with him at checkout and he was the nicest dude ever! Nothing like coming to a convenience store and having good customer service. At many other Rite-Aid locations, many employees seem to provide subpar service and little to no interaction. Literally, this is SO key to encouraging customers to return. I like this Rite Aid very much. They do a good Job at maintaining it clean and I've never had to wait in line for more than a couple of minutes. I don't have to use the pharmacy because I'm not old and dying, so I only come here for the ice cream. Mint n chip is my favorite, but there are many other delicious flavors here. The people in the pharmacy are very nice but it doesn't seem like they have the biggest selection of medications as sometimes I have to order some. The people that work at the front counter are really pretty nice and helpful as well. I really hate to write a negative review but I am very unhappy with how I was just treated at this Rite-Aid. I am 6 months pregnant and had to grab some fiber so I decided to run into Rite-Aid to grab some. I noticed that the 48.2oz of Metamucil was on sale- so I went to the front counter to pay, put my phone number in and when the price didn't reflect the discount, asked the cashier (Mohammed) why the discount hadn't been applied. He proceeded to call someone over the speaker to do a price check but when she didn't respond he took the item and said he would do it himself. He came back and shortly said, "Nope! Not on sale. It's $21.99." I asked him about the yellow tag was underneath the row and he replied with a deep sigh of annoyance, then said in an irritated voice said, "When you go over there look at the barcodes on the back!! They don't match!!" I told him I was going to go grab something else then and went back to the aisle. I decided it wasn't worth arguing further over and I grabbed some other less expensive pills and headed back to the front. Once I arrived back to the counter, a line had formed so I stood behind 3-4 people, down one of the aisles and waited my turn. When the same cashier saw me in line he shouted so I could hear him 20 feet away, "DID YOU FIND IT?!" I uncomfortably had to raise my voice and shout from behind the line, "No, I decided to just go with something else." He then shouted back, "Well did you bring it back up here?!" I replied (confused to why I would bring it back), "No...I just have the new product I am purchasing." He exhaled dramatically enough for everyone in line to hear him and exclaimed, "Well, I needed it!!!" then stormed (literally stomped) around the counter and went back to get the item. As if buying fiber for pregnancy issues wasn't already embarrassing enough, I now had multiple people in line staring at me during the entire exchange between me and the cashier. I stood in line with a bright red face waiting to buy my pills and get out of there as fast as possible and put the entire experience behind me. When he came back to add insult to injury he shouts at me again, "the item on sale was the one next to it!" At this point, every person in line had turned around to look at me while I just stood their quietly, mortified. I honestly would have just went on my way with the pills and never even had a second thought about the price but i just couldn't believe the way this cashier handled this situation and felt it necessary to write this review hoping someone else doesn't get treated the same way! I typically don't really like Rite Aid very much, but this one is actually a pretty decent location. They have a good selection and the customer service is also usually really pretty good even when you come in for ice cream someone usually jumps over to the ice cream counter pretty quickly to help you out. The pharmacy is also usually fairly quick and the employees back there are pretty helpful as well. I've been coming here for a long time and I come here quite frequently so if I have no complaints yet I think that's a pretty good endorsement. Just don't go to the one down on PCH near Vermont. read more

I found this Rite Aid had quite a few essentials that I need during this corona outbreak. But I was really disappointed going in there and first seeing one of the pharmacy technicians without gloves or a mask, although the pharmacist himself was protected. HORRIBLE customer service. Walked in with my sons to get ice cream. Waited 5 minutes before it was acknowledged that service was needed in ice cream. Waited almost another 10 minutes with still no assistance. Another dad and baby walked in. I told him that we had been waiting for 10 minutes. We left without getting ice cream. I have finally had enough! During the last few months, I have bypassed the Western Ave store because of their sense of urgency is nonexistent. Because of traffic south-bound, I decided to run in for an item. Of course there was only one register open and four guests in line of which one was requesting return services and another had a full cart. I asked Jeremy if he would call for a second cashier. He responded curtly and with a look of irritation that someone would be there shortly. No one arrived. After a few minutes I asked again, this time he ignored me. The Pharmacist Naomi is so unprofessional and rude!! My strained/sprained my ankle last night so the wife takes the prescription in this morning and she gives her a hard time turning in the script already judging a book by its cover, to the point where she didn't want to go back and pick it up and deal with her again, so there I go to pick it up with my crutches waiting In line she gets done with the customer before me (so I'm next)looks at her watch grabs her bag and walks out, never offering or asking if she can help real quick before she goes on her lunch, the gentleman that was cashier even tried to ask her if I can pick up my script real quick and she said sure have him wait and walked away, I wait, and ask for a consult on my medication from her and she can't even explain what the meds are for LAST TIME I go to that pharmacy, I'll go else where till shit changes read more

I have to alternate my medication. Some idiot over there cancelled my 137 saying I'm already taking 150 mcg and that I need to go to back to the doctor and get another prescription. Can you believe that?!?!?! And every time my doctors office calls in a prescription they NEVER receive it. I'm transferring ALL my prescriptions including my moms to a local pharmacy.
