I have the highest compliments for this CVS Pharmacy and especially Pharmacist Phan Nguyen as he was especially attentive to my need. I used this pharmacy a couple times 3 years ago then switched to CVS 1880 S. Pacific Coast Highway Redondo Beach and I had the worst experience at CVS 1880 S. Pacific Coast Highway Redondo Beach. I am thankful to Phan Nguyen as he expediently handled the manufacturers coupon and my prescription was ready in minutes and when I went to pick it up. I had given Redondo Beach CVS pharmacist that bin, loyalty and group numbers once over the phone and a second time in person and when I went to pick up My prescription at CVS Redondo Beach the girl at the counter ever so rudely directed to the pharmacist to which I declined and transferred my prescriptions to Torrance CVS on PCH and was ever so pleased and I have my prescription. Hmmm, received $5 coupon on a $20 purchase. I was hooked so I ordered online with a pick up in the store. This CVS is very close to me so pick up was no problem. The price of the items was meh, but I got to use my coupon. I was "required" to pay for a bag fee, 20 cents. Hmmmm. My items were small so it was in a brown paper bag the next size bigger than a lunch sack. Hmmm Pick up was a breeze and the clerk was very friendly. I don't think I would ever do this again. There's a nurse at the minute clinic by the name of Julien and a minute clinic manager by the name of Wen. They will charge you at your visit one price only to hit you with another bill out of the months later. Beware of this and ask for an itemized receipt if you do come. They're not trained, do not act in good faith and are extremely unprofessional. Do NOT come here for care. Please take your money and health elsewhere. read more

I only needed a couple of things: Dayquil/Nyquil capsules and a sympathy card. How I ended up buying 4 other things is beyond me. It was an ease finding those two things I needed, and it ended up being the same for the other stuff I got. The store (from what I saw) was really organized which explains why I found everything so quickly. I wasn't even in there five minutes! Staff was friendly. Like most CVS stores this one serves the purpose that it is designed for. It has all of the various items that CVS is known for; i. e.: the various over the counter medications you may need, household items, some food, some drink, and of course they have a pharmacy. This is a large CVS. It is well laid out and their items are easy to find. I always find the staff to be very nice at this location. If you need any help, they are always happy to provide it. Located on PCH, this CVS is easy to find. They are in a small strip mall and there is a very large parking lot out in front. So, parking is never a problem. Overall, this is a CVS. Bought an overpriced facial moisturizer and tried to return it so I can purchase the better priced product elsewhere. Bought the item the day before and never got a receipt. The return came out $6 less than what I paid for! And the cashier said it was because the return price is whatever the last sale price is... even if the current shelf price is what I paid for it... tried to reverse the return 5 minutes later and they tried charging me the same full price ! Lesson learned: don't send your husband to return your product, always get a receipt, and go to target for your facial moisturizer not CVS. read more

This is a nice CVS location at Torrance Blvd and PCH, with a parking lot. The staff is friendly. The front door is, I think locked, so you need to enter through the back door in the parking lot. I'm sure it's for safety and security reasons. read more

This is just for the pharmacy. I came in today to pick up my prescription. Everything was going well until I noticed I was only getting when if my prescriptions when I usually pick up 2. So after I paid for one the girl at the counter told me to go to the pharmacist & see what is going on with my other prescription. I came over & I heard the lady speaking on the phone. Not sure what it was about I assumed it was work related & did not want to ease drop. So I waited patiently for her to finish. Then she starts talking to her co worker about the schedule. After about 5 -7 mins of who knows what she finally tends to me & asks me a question. Took her but 2 mins to fulfill my order. I'm sure she could careless by losing one customer. read more

Went online to inquire about COVID testing and it said testing was available at this location. Just stopped in and asian woman with a lab coat (assuming a pharmacist) couldn't be bothered with assisting me. I'm just now getting around to reviewing CVS...I've been coming here since it was Save-On. CVS has a nice selection of OTC meds, first aid, and etc. They also sell seasonal stuff, hair products, drinks, and back in the day film. The Pharmacy is top notch here. When I was here last (Jan 15') I was at the Urgent Care and the doctor there gave me a list of meds to take. The pharmacist was fast and I got my meds in 15 mins. That day I also got a few bottles of Poweraid since I was so dehydrated and sick. I can't wait to get a 100% better though. read more

Today on Easter, this store was almost empty. But it's huge! And well-organized. I gotta go here more often. I ended up in CVS on Easter cuz a bunny bit me. No, just kidding! I meant I needed meds for an egg allergy. Kidding again! The truth: I went hiking this morning on some fairly rugged wooded trails & something really did bite me, on the ankle (maybe a spider?). Hours later, my foot is swollen and the bite site itches like a muhfugger. So I went here for anti-itch cream, before I scratch my skin off. Ended up in the musical greeting card aisle (they have a ton of cards here), laughing like crazy. I musta looked at silly cards for an hour while scratching one foot with the other. Good thing no people in the store.... Now sixty bucks poorer, I sure had fun. The friendly check-out girl's foot fell asleep while she was tallying up my tab (absolutely true). We were both kinda hopping around, me wishing MY itchy foot would go to sleep. I guess it's OK to hop around on Easter, ha. (Why not 5 stars? The CVS near my Moms, which translates into....this is the beer store. I went a few times they had 18 packs of Dos Equis of $10.99 and crown royal for $16.00 a bottle, both on sale. For nice beer go across the street the Sprouts. It's a nice store, but as you know they are all about the same. The had cool local t shirts for $13.00 and that's always a nice touch for tourists... I booked an appt for a flu shot. I got there filled out the paperwork and was told my insurance was not going through. I thought there was something wrong so I went outside and called my insurance and I was told they were running it incorrectly and they need to run as Medical and not Pharmacy. I got the phone number of a person that could help CVS run the right code if they had any issues. I went back inside and told them I need them to run it as medical and they said the pharmacy was only able to run as pharmacy code not medical. I was told that their Minute Clinic however can run as medical. I walked over to their Minute Clinic to be told they are booked and found out no appts for a few days. Multiple people had been directed there that day for flu shots for medical billing and they were backed up. I left annoyed and frustrated. Found out from my mom she went to CVS S PCH and had no issues with her insurance being run as medical for a flu shot. I drove over there and they had no issues figuring out the correct codes. I was either told this CVS only bills as pharmacy to direct more people to their Minute Clinic or they aren't properly trained at insurance and the steps it takes to run as Medical for a flu shot. Telling people they need to go somewhere else and make more stops than necessary to get a flu shot is poor customer experience. 2 stars for a nice person working at pharmacy but minus stars for inaccurate information read more

It may be kind of weird to write a review for a CVS Pharmacy, but my experience there in recent months has made me decide I had to say what a good job they are doing. Everyone who works at this location is always so friendly and welcoming - I've never particularly felt any affinity for a drugstore, but here I really do notice the employees who greet you as soon as you come in even while they're working the counter. The pharmacist, Phan Nguyen, and his staff are all very professional and hyper-efficient. First, I've always noticed his staff zipping between two registers so they can get people in and out quicker. They're always very nice and helpful, and I've been grateful for them in recent months. Most importantly, just this weekend I got my flu shot from Mr. Nguyen. I'm fine with shots, and I've never noticed a "good" shot-giver, but was definitely probably the easiest shot I've ever received - I didn't even register that he had already given me the shot - it was THAT good! Anyway, kudos to the staff at the CVS. If anything, the only downside is that I notice that the trash pickup in this shopping center parking lot is particularly bad, but I will not blame the CVS for that. read more

Convenient and local CVS; I prefer the prices here than Rite Aid or other drug stores. You can find pretty much anything you need. I also like to pick up those mini travel packages prior to trips -- great selection and again, great prices. + They sometimes also have deals or tables spread out in the middle of the store with free goodie bags! Got tons of free makeup. How cool is that!? + Of course, when you sign up for a CVS card, you get TONS of rewards, discounts and "free bucks." + Most things I need for my dog -- such as her diet, pads, stain-free pet sprays, snacks and toys -- can be found cheaper here than PETCO. + The folks are pretty welcoming! Especially an older guy who's been in this store for ages; he always welcomes you when you walk in and wishes you a good day on your way out. Very homey and friendly. Only trouble I had was when looking for something or needing staff to open the locked glass cabinets for dental needs, it was really hard to track someone down. Everyone would vanish. Perhaps a bell or alert of some kind at the front desk would be beneficial. Plenty of parking in the plaza, with restaurants nearby and a gas station. read more

Rude and unprofessional staff for covid testing! My appointment was at 4:10pm at exactly 4:10pm a lady called me saying if I'm not there in 5 minutes she'll cancel my appointment. I was there at 4:16pm she refused to do the test while making rude gestures and facial expressions toward me. Doesn't say anywhere on the confirmation email or on the building that you have a 5 minute late period. This lady takes advantage of her power and makes her own rules. It's sad that she would refuse to do a health test. People don't schedule a covid test for joy. Won't return here again. read more

It's pretty spacious looks like everything was in order the check was fast the lady was very friendly. Lot's of parking shares the same lot with Ross and some little stores and eating places so i can imagine the lot can fill up when all or opened. I'd come back when i'm in the area. Don't send a text saying that someone's prescription is ready and then a few days later text them again and tell them they only have 8 days to pick it up WHEN ITS NOT EVEN IN STOCK. People don't have time to have their time wasted by you. I'm calling to see if my prescriptions can be transferred to another CVS. Maybe i'll get better service there. read more

Not only do I feel that this entire shopping center is a little out of place, with the messy Ross random donut shop but this CVS is weirder than all of that. It is set up where all of the strange and generally useless household stuff is in the front and all of the things you would need at a drugstore, (like paper plates, or cups, or birthday cards) are in the very back. Whatever, the store can be laid out however they decided what really ticks me off about this place is the pharmacy. I generally like CVS better than most drug stores because their pharmacies are usually so efficient. Not this one. I have a very common, simple prescription, it isn't something that the store has to order more of or anything like that, plus I always give it a couple days after I call it in so they have some extra time to fill it. But I soon learned that it doesn't matter here, expect at least 15 to 20 minutes just to pick up an already prepared prescription. I'm not sure his name, but the older asian pharmacist always seems to feel that the phone is more important than the 5 people waiting in line. I have seen him pick up that phone over and over again, completely ignoring all of us in line. I finally had to go stand in front of him and wave, trying to make him see that there are people who are physically in the store needing his help. He just waved me off. Then when the phone finally stopped ringing he came by, and didn't even apologize for the wait. This didn't only happen once, this phone situation has happened like every time I've been in there, with the same pharmacist. Needless to say, I go across the street to Walgreens now, their pharmacy is always on time and quick to be of service. read more

Took me amlost an hour to fill a prescription. Pharmacy staffs were generally kind and helpful but there is always that one incompetent person, doesn't know what she is doing and complicate things. I gave the pharmacist a hand written prescription. She said it was a duplicate claim so I had to call the doctor's office to check if the prescription was routed to another pharmacy. I called the doctor's office and the nurse was willing to talk to the pharmacist. Instead of taking the call, the pharmacist told me to have the nurse call CVS. The nurse from the doctor's office was put her on hold for about 10 minutes. After about 25 minutes of back and forth, that pharmacist walked away presumably to take a break. Another pharmacist took my prescription and there was nothing wrong with it so I told her about the previous conversation and a call from the doctor's office. New pharmacist picked up the call from the doctor's office (which was still on hold) told the nurse that everything is okay and that she will inform me. This is for the CVS Minute Clinic. Two days ago, I was struck with a severe sore throat, which isn't unusual for me since I am a teacher and catch all of the germs the kiddos bring to the classroom. But when I woke up yesterday with a fever and major joint pain, I decided that I should get it checked out to make sure it wasn't strep. Every urgent care that I could find that my insurance covers has horrid reviews. So I decided to come here. I waited until after the 1 hour lunch break. There was no wait and I got in right away. Janet, the nurse practitioner was really awesome. She listened to me and felt really genuine. We did a rapid strep test and it came negative so we sent a test to the lab (takes 48 hours to hear back). If not strep, then it is the flu. In the meantime, she gave some good recommendations of over the counter meds I can use to get the fever down and reduce my discomfort in general. She also prescribed a numbing throat rinse - this stuff is a miracle in a bottle! It totally helps to reduce the sore throat pain and I'm wondering why I've never been prescribed it before because it is seriously amazing. read more

Checking in to say that I still LOVE this pharmacy! The staff here knows me and my family and treat us with familiarity. All of the pharmacists, Mr. Nguyen, Ms. Jackie and the technicians are amazing and sensitive to their customer's needs. I have received encouragement and praise from the staff here as I struggled for years to end a chemical dependency on a heavy opiate. In today's climate, the sincere care and information the staff here would provide me with during my struggle, undoubtedly was a major help and support! I'm proud to finally be free of that dependency and the staff here has told me that they are proud and happy for me too. What a comfort it is to come to a large retail chain and be treated with the dignity, care and respect of a town pharmacy. read more

Well this review is for the one minute clinic.. they close at 5:30pm, did a walk in at 5:03pm and was told she had another patient ahead and couldn't see me since she had to go home in "10 minutes"... I had called ahead of time and was told the latest they could see a walk in would be at 5:15pm I live about an hour away and this was so upsetting I told the NP that I had to do my health screen today since I didn't realize my deadline was tomorrow.. she didn't give a ... not even a sorry, will never come back here and will recommend all my friends that they don't neither!!!! read more

This CVS is in a strip mall. Already a black mark against them because parking is tough. I don't mind tough parking going to Dodger Stadium, but at CVS it should be a breeze. Compared to otehr CVS stores, I would not rank it among the top ones. I have shopped at many CVS stores because in general I like them. They give great coupons and have good sales. If you get on their email list, they send you tons of discount coupons and offers. This store does not have the selection that other CVS stores have. When there is a sale in the liquor department, they often run out of the bottles I want. It takes weeks until they get them back in stock and I have to remember to get a rain check and bring it in. On the plus side, the store is well organized and things are easy to find if they are in stock. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is clean. Sometimes there is a long wait at the prescription department which can be frustrating when the only reason you came in was to pick up a prescription. Go in the mornings when the parking lot is not too crowded and parking is easy. Otherwise you have to compete to find parking with the customers from Ross, which is the biggest store in this strip mall. read more

The attitude of the female Korean Pharmacist is one of indigence. This is not your "friendly neighborhood pharmacy." If you want to waste your time please go here. The doctor came out and asked if I was presently sick. I said yes and my name is next on the list. She said, well since she was waiting here the longest (she wasn't) she took her instead.
