Candy Vivanco is an experienced butcher that really knows his meat, the cuts, and makes recommendations according to your individual needs. My partner got ranchera style steak, as well as rib eye which he asked to be cut thinly fajita style. I enjoy cooking, and I enjoy when the ingredients speak for themselves. With the ranchera style steak I sautéed it with onion, garlic, bell peppers, and mushrooms and made a quick dinner by adding the mixture into a quesadilla. The ribeye I basted with a little browned butter and rosemary. I accompanied the steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Both dinners were prepared quickly and I didn't have to do much. Dinner was on the table in less than 30 minutes and I attribute that to the quality of meat.

It was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and ranks among the best New York steaks I've ever had. The oysters were outstanding--fresh, clean, and exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant owned by a team known for doing seafood right.
