I have come to this Walgreens twice in the past month as I happened to be in the area and needed to make quick stops for an item. On the first trip I needed shoelaces, however there were hardly any shoelaces in stock (and not what I needed). I picked up a couple of other items and waited nearly 25 minutes to pay. On the second trip a couple weeks later I needed a birthday card and a gift card. Figured I'd be in and out within 5 minutes but again had to wait 10+ minutes to pay. There were two cashiers, plus customers paying at the photo counter, but each customer transaction seemed to take forever. And still... no inventory of shoelaces. Next time I need to make a quick purchase I'll choose another store. read more

Walgreens' pharmacy system continues to override clinical instructions regarding manufacturer-specific prescriptions. Despite multiple notes in my profile stating "Acella NP Thyroid ONLY," the system substitutes different manufacturers without pharmacist review. This creates a significant clinical risk. Thyroid medication is not interchangeable across manufacturers due to differences in potency and inactive ingredients. As a Hashimoto's patient with documented sensitivity, switching manufacturers destabilizes my health. This issue is systemic and exposes patients to inappropriate substitutions. Walgreens must correct its automated dispensing process and ensure that pharmacist verification cannot be bypassed by inventory availability. read more

This is my go to spot to drop off my FedEx packages. It's a couple blocks from my home and I can go after work and don't have to worry about getting there before 6-7 like I would at a true FedEx location. Every time I go, JP is working and he is always on top of his game. I see why they have him there so much because he is really good at his job, he knows his stuff, and he is great at communicating if he needs to wrap up with a customer before he can come to the counter. I don't know why I keep using this pharmacy. They have no respect for your time. Had an appointment for an easy shot at 1:15. It's now 1:53 and I asked when we would be called and was basically just dismissed because they "had to mix the shot". Why make an appointment then? This was the 3rd Walgreens I went to looking for a very specific fragrance. I was able to easily locate what I was looking for but I needed assistance as they are locked behind the counter. A very nice man named JP helped me. I got what I needed and was on my way. I paid at the from with another employee who was also very friendly! I find the friendliness very rare at other Walgreens or even at other named pharmacies. I think I'll just skip the other close locations and just make the extra drive to this one. Give all our drugstores a little thanks. They've been open during these crazy times and continue to provide an essential service. Never crowded and they carry most of what you might need when you don't want to hit up the larger-packed-with-frenzied-shoppers stores. This pharmacy is out of control. They literally lie to customers about prescriptions. After being given the wrong medication, I was then told mine was on order. They said it would be in " tomorrow. " That's turned in to 3 days of BS and confusion. One pharmacist says one thing and the other says something different. Then I get a text that my script is ready for pick up. I get to the counter after a long wait when they tell me, you can pick it up TOMORROW. No explanation given. This is now the 33rd day of a 30 day script. I'm disabled and errands can be challenging. There is no legal reason for them to hold my meds until the 33rd day. My Dr is also extremely frustrated with the pharmacists. Worst part is how rude they can be. Right off the bat, rude. Why? Am I being discriminated, it really feels like it. I am in contact with the Better Business Bureau. If you can avoid this place, do so. read more

Took my son here for A COVID shot. They were very unorganized. We checked in 15 minutes before our appointment. After being directed to the wrong counter. Once we checked in they failed to tell us that there was paperwork to fill out. We waited for almost an hour before we asked for a reason for the delay. Then they told us to fill out paperwork. Within 5 min we had the shot. Tech was efficient and very helpful with a shit hesitant child. read more

Came to get a prescription after being at urgent care. Everything was going smoothly until the pharmacy tech told me that the doctor needed to fill out two portions of the RX (my address and DOB). I go back to the urgent care to get it fixed and they say if there are any issues, to have the pharmacy call. I've been sitting here waiting for my prescription for about 45 minutes without having anyone update me on anything or even letting me know how long the wait will be. My whole appointment at the urgent care was faster than this. Normally I can be pretty understanding when it comes to situations like this but I've never had to be sent back and forth between places. It's not the most pleasant experience to be sitting in the pharmacy waiting area with my cough, waiting to get the prescriptions that are supposed to alleviate this. read more

I'm still waiting to find out what I did wrong besides telling truths in mob-town. *** I went in and they had the pills they said were in the bag yesterday. I was 'helped' by the lady in the long white lab coat who always asks me if I have medication questions, I thought she was the pharmacy manager, but she said "no" and said she had no authority, but she said she'd forward my complaint to the real pharmacy manager (her?). Getting her to actually hand me the bag took a long time with her staring at the computer, it was like pulling teeth. The hate was palpable. It's hard to understand to me that businesses still harass and blacklist customers like this. I see the other bad reviews, I guess they don't want a lot of people's money. Ralphs and Lowes didn't want my money either. As for healthcare, it's either no service or like Kaiser with huge amounts of unnecessary procedures and visits that just put me at more risk, but they got the Medicare fraud dollars. This area is truly unbelievable to gays with HIV and connected, abusive fathers. No matter how badly they treat me here I will continue at this pharmacy because of its proximity to where I live and this treatment is a good subject for a patient advocate. I needed photos duplicated and the staff are knowledgeable and patient - explaining how to upload photos from my cell phone, how to select and customize my photos and pay. This store is always clean, safe, offers a variety of merchandise at competitive prices and is well lit inside and out with ample free parking. I told the cashier that I had called and asked if you carry eggs and the person on the phone said you did, but I can't find them. She answered me thusly: "We do carry eggs, but we're sold out right now." I stared at her blankly and wondered, if Patrick Star is here, then where is Spongebob? And what's his position? Manager? Is Squidward the pharmacist? And Mr. Krabs the owner? Does Plankton, owner of CVS, show up on occasion and try to bring Walgreens down? Anyway, be sure to be specific if you ever have any questions. Zero starts if I could. The worst customer service from the pharmacy manager at the store on maple & Sepulveda . They were even rude to my doctor's office nurse. This place has zero empathy for their customers. Just plain rude. They are questioning my licensed doctors prescription! Hello HIPA! They had the info from my doctors office faxed over, that wasn't enough that wanted more medical history ...not their concern. They moved the goal post. They have really helped me when I needed it--if I had questions for a pharmacist or if my prescription needed doctor approval or if I needed a cheaper alternative medication or if there were insurance issues. The store itself is fine but I recommend avoiding the pharmacy at all costs or risk getting an ulcer on top of any other condition you may have. It is impossible to get a hold of the pharmacy by phone and you will see why when you are standing in line waiting to pick your medications. You will hear the phone ring constantly and watch the pharmaceutical technician pick up the phone without saying anything and push the hold button. The person on the other end of the phone call is placed on hold with the phone ringing in the pharmacy again every 5 minutes or so. The technician will repeatedly place the call on hold until the system automatically disconnects or maybe the technician eventually hangs up on the caller. It would be far more considerate to have.an auto response saying the pharmacy staff is too busy to answer the call at the moment. When you do go into the pharmacy and mention the phone issue, the pharmaceutical technician will tell you that s/he heard they been having phone issues. It's happened to me in at least 5 different occasions to date plus I can see how they handle calls so no, I can't buy into that excuse. Unfortunately, Optum wants its patients to use Walgreens of all places so hopefully I can find another location! read more

Never have I ever had sooooo many bad experiences at a local Walgreens until I moved to torrance and started going here, do yourselves the biggest favor you could ever do for your stress lol. Don't bring it here. They got my prescription Monday morning it's Thursday night and they said the pharmacist is working on it.... Out here people apparently suffer from lack of meds/ service? I'm pretty sure all pharmacies of this big company get meds the same way when there ordered and brought within two days.... I've had this prescription long enough to know how it works. Either someone forgot to do the simple task of ordering but regardless the answer "we don't know when it will come" seems very ancient and a bunch of bs from truth. Watch me call my doctor to transfer scrip to another place and get it same day or next. Either delivery hates this pharmacy or they jsut really don't take responsibility for a mistake lol. I am welcomed and greeted by friendly associates every single time. Store is clean, organized and well stocked. I always find what I need- everything from a bathroom plunger to hydrocortisone. I'm not very familiar with the benefits to their reward program, but I am always pleasantly surprised when I have a few reward dollars. Out of the 3 times I went to this Walgreens, all 3 of them were horrible. I ask a simple question to one of their workers and they responded in such a rude tone. My most recent visit had me outraged. I went to get my printer ink refilled and by the time I get home and start it up the ink isn't there! I went back assuming it was a mistake but they accuse me for taking out the ink then coming back. The last few times I have needed to pick up my prescription here, their Tricare system was down. Not their fault, but it seems to happen a lot at Walgreens so I have to leave and pick up my prescriptions the next day IF the system is back up by then. But Julie, the pharmacy manager, told me they will not honor my doctors prescription because it's not approved for covid prophylactic. I'm sorry, but who the hell do you Nuremberg violators think you are? When has there ever been a pharmacist go against a doctors order? Are you a doctor Julie? This location is one of the best Walgreens in the South Bay. It is always clean, organized and products are readily available. However, my favorite thing about Walgreens isn't so much the products on the shelves, as it is their photo department. It is so simple to uplaod and print pictures from walgreens.com and I always choose this location for pick-up. If you're interested in printing at least 30 pictures, always check walgreens.com for a coupon code first! Last week I was able to print 30 pictures for $3.00 which is a steal :) read more

Don't come here if you value your time. The waits are long, the prices are high, and they don't have any customer service. I went here to get a prescription filled and they forgot my most important antibiotics pill. They told me to come back the next day, and when I returned, they had left for lunch for an HOUR, shutting down the entire pharmacy in the middle of the day and not telling me beforehand. When I asked for assistance, the manager of the store said she "can't even go back there (behind the pharmacy)" which was obviously an exaggeration/lie to get me to leave. Just stopped to get my daughter some juice after going to the y for a workout. It's cold. So my husband ran in while we waited in the heated car. As he enters the cashier looks at him and picks up the phone and requests a code 99. A man comes running out of the back and looks at my husband. Follows him through the store and watches him closely the whole time. My husband looks at him and says: "I'm a code 99, huh?" The man looked away embarrassed. Husband buys the juice and leaves. We will never go here again. This is ridiculous as my husband was obviously being profiled. What does a code 99 mean at Walgreens? Anyone know? So, they said their phones were down for 2 days after I finally got through. I had called a nearby Walgreens to see if I could refill a prescription there and pick it up at my Walgreens. They said no. I asked them if my Walgreen's phones were down and that's why I couldn't get through. They told me no because they had just talked to them. Now I don't no what to believe.
