My local go to CVS Pharmacy. It's not necessarily the most well stocked CVS but for the most part i am able to purchase essentials and once in a while find some surprises (hint: Hello Kitty items ;). One of the reasons I like going to this CVS Pharmacy is the good customer service. The employees are helpful and friendly. Whether I'm picking up prescriptions or just grabbing something i need for the house, the staff is professional and kind. Overall this CVS Pharmacy is reliable and convenient! read more

Today I had the unpleasant experience of trying to buy something at this cvs. Since just about everything is locked up in these stores I was forced to interact with a staff member. This review if for our passport photo experience. I went to the CVS by my home first but to my dismay the lady working there not only lied to me about how they don't take passport photos for baby (which clearly states on the website they do) and also stated that it would take over 30 minutes and would most likely not pass. So we decided to head to the next CVS which by coincidence was close to the restaurant we are going to eat dinner at so we did not mind coming here. On our way here we did pray frantically to get someone wonderful and helpful in JESUS name! And of course GOD answers and got us Kat! She was amazing and great w babies because she loves kids. The whole process took about 3 minutes and the pictures came out perfectly. I would highly highly recommend getting your kids passport photo taken here as long as Kat is working! This review is for Rita who helped me with my passport photos today. I ran to this CVS right after seeing the terrible photos that were taken an office supply store nearby. The photos I received at the other store showed large light reflections on my face and immediately, I knew these were not going to be accepted when renewing my passport. Luckily, Rita was helping a person before me with her passport photos and they were reviewing the photos that were just taken. Already a great sign. Rita was quick and professional with the photos. She knew the guidelines that needed to be followed for an acceptable passport photo. We only needed one take and I was happy with the results. It only took a couple minutes to print and as a plus, the price was decent. I had a great experience here because of her exceptional customer service. Thank you! read more

This review is specifically for the customer service rep/cashier named Al. I'm a dual citizen, and came in for passport photos for my Japanese passport. The the photo dimensions are a little different from the US passport, and I went to a few places that weren't sure how to do it. I went to CVS as my last stop for the night to give it another try. Al knew what to do- he looked it up, took the pictures, and printed the passport pictures with the correct dimensions. I know it took a little longer, but he was super professional, patient, courteous, and kind. He provided great customer service, which is awesome. But more importantly, he was also a good and kind human being in general. It's nice to come across people like this. This review is long overdue- I meant to leave it a few months ago. Most of the people who work here are very nice and they actually come when you have to buzz for someone to open something that's locked up. After walking 1 1/2 miles for my senior citizen exercise to CVS I was not able to use my 40% off on my CVS card because I was told their internet was down. Frustrating since I received a message reminding me that today was the last day the 40% off could be used. That's the only reason I walked there. This is just for the pharmacy portion of this location. If you are planning on getting Zepbound filled here and pay out of pocket with the manufacturer coupon, RUN. I have never had so many issues with a pharmacy before, every single month there's some issue with my prescription. Plus with the new voicemail system where you can't reach a live person is frustrating at times. There is only one male tech that knows how to input the manufacturer coupon correctly but he's not always there. Today the tech argued with me over the phone that my coupon doesn't work because my insurance needs to cover something in order for it to go through. Incorrect. I explained the coupon only works if your insurance doesn't cover the medication which mine doesn't. She had a complete attitude about it and then told me to take it up with my insurance. Called my insurance they told me cvs was incorrect, contacted the coupon manufacturer also confirmed cvs has no clue what they're doing. I ended up transferring my prescriptions to Walmart. Zero issue with them coupon worked and medication filled in 2hrs. Please save yourself the headache and frustration with this location if you are taking this medication and using the manufacturer coupon, Walmart will figure it out and save you the back and forth. read more

1 star only because 0 stars is not an option... this store doesn't realize the pain that customers are in, nor do they care. This is the fifth time they sent me a text that I cannot pick up my prescription until this date... then when you get there, they say it's not due for 3 more days, then 3 days later when you finally have enough strength to go and pick up your pain meds, they tell you they are out of stock and it's on order. WTH... so now 6 days without pain meds and they tell me to call my doctor to find a drugstore that has the pain meds and write a new prescription to them... this is a sad excuse for people who are in pain to have to go through... Good location with plenty of parking. Seems rare these days when you can find a parking lot this easy to navigate without some crazed driver darting out in front of you or fighting with themselves for a spot. Smaller older store that doesn't get crowded. You might have to wait behind the occasional customer who wants to price challenge the pair of nail clippers they purchased, but what are ya gonna do? Nice and quiet inside, ahh. Efficient friendly helpful staff. Clean, neat and well stocked aisles. Always a sale following most major holidays on holiday stuff you needed before the holiday. read more

Toilet had excrements all over it, not toilet seat covers and absolutely no toilet paper. Easily the best pharmacy around. I come in weekly and see the entire staff all the time and love them. I can't believe the negative reviews of this place; makes me wonder who does reviews! One bad experience isn't enough to say something poor, but I've had countless great experiences with the pharmacists, and the help outside of the pharmacy--I have stopped and gotten to know them--and absolutely appreciate all that they have had to deal with since COVID. First, the negative: I've become increasingly frustrated with the pharmacy here. I signed up for text notifications for when my Rx is ready. Twice in the past three months, I showed up to the pharmacy to pick up my Rx and was told that they had nothing for me. When I showed them that I received a text to the contrary (I literally showed them my phone), they said that they had prepared the Rx but then put it back. What? I think maybe I waited a day or two after receiving the text before going to CVS, but not nearly long enough for them to put it away. And why would they go to the trouble of filling and packaging my Rx on Wouldn't it be logical to add to the text "your prescription is available UNITL [such and such a date]" so that I don't show up expecting its ready and then waste my time? I was told it would be over an hour for them to prepare my script after that. No one who works full time can hang around for an hour because someone else made a mistake. If that happened once, I would chalk it up to a simple mistake -- we're all human. The fact that it happened twice (and the frequency of other negative reviews here) suggest there's a broader problem of incompetence at this location. Also, I get it -- it's becoming increasingly clear that workers are underpaid and overworked and perhaps some of these problems stem from their poor treatment by management and corporate. To me, this is not an issue with one single employee but rather CVS at large. Unfortunately, with a lack of Mom & Pop pharmacies in a place with a population as large as Torrance, what other choice do we have when we need to fill an Rx? Now for the positive: With that said, I offered two stars rather than one because the folks at the front register are typically nice and helpful. The store is huge and there is ample parking and it's rare for items to be out of stock (except back when quarantine started and everyone was out of items like toilet paper, rubbing alcohol, etc. -- but that's clearly because of panic buying and not the store's stock itself). Every time I want to print out pictures I always end up here. And something is always wrong with the machines. Today the "print in seconds" function wasn't working. But no problem! I went to the register and was informed my pictures weren't ready yet, there was someone in front of me. No problem. I walked around the store, and patiently waited by the printing section while the woman was ringing up customers. Then she said, right before another customer walked up to her, "Is it done printing?" I don't know how I would know if something is done printing or not. So I said "I don't know". She walked over, looked at the machine, said, "Yeah, it's done," and walked away with my pictures. I followed her.Paid. And she just handed me the bag and said, rather cheeky, "Thanks." What's up with the customer service here? It's always hit or miss with these guys. read more

Stopped at this CVS on the way home from the doctor. It was the first & last time that I will make that mistake. As soon as you walk in, you are not greeted. That's not that big of a deal to me, however, seeing that I only went in for one item & planned on being in & out. Waited in line for a short amount of time. There were two cashiers and one seemed to be getting trained on a certain procedure, so really only one was available, an older woman named Deborah. Once it was my turn, I walked up with my one item. She took it, but then just stood there. I was never told hello, welcome to CVS, thank you for waiting or anything along the lines of what you would expect. There was only silence and what seemed to be irritation on her part. Eventually, she asked if I had CVS card & I held it out for her to scan. Once again, no sound/movement was made for a noticeable amount of time until she decided to scan the card. Can anyone guess what happened next? Silence. Again. I wasn't given the price for almost an entire minute. Finally, I was given the price and after already paying was asked if I would like to purchase a bag; my answer was no. As I was given my receipt and change, I said thank you, but who cares about manners? Not the cashier, as she just called for the next person in line. I hadn't walked away yet & didn't plan on walking away until I placed my change in my wallet & put my wallet in my purse. As I did so, this lady had the nerve to sigh as loudly as possible, as if I was wasting her time. I laughed to myself before walking away. As I'm walking toward the doors, I hear a nice, cheery "Hey there!", turned around & to my surprise (sarcasm) it was her, greeting the older person that had been standing behind me. incompetent and careless pharmacist will tell your doctor she has your medication and when you show up says she looked at the wrong strength and they don't actually carry it. Just handed me back my prescription and walked away couldn't care less. ants everywhere so unhygienic and she doesn't care that she's providing improper patient care. so disappointing literally all she needed to do was follow up and say she was wrong but doesn't take the time to do that. read more

New to the neighborhood, we are so pleased without our nearby CVS! The Sepulveda location is clean, spacious and well organized. It is BETH who stands out the most! She is certain to warmly greet every guest that enters the store. She is friendly and helpful - having all the answers to my questions! Last week I forgot my credit card and she offered to hold my items until I returned without hesitation. Today I had an exchange and BETH made it so easy to manage the transaction. I've been coming here for years. The people at the register in the f out of the store always greets me. I get all my prescriptions filled here and the pharmacist and technicians have always explained any new prescriptions to me clearly. When I'm in need of other basic household items I can find it there. The cosmetic section is fairly large too. I enjoy looking through the holidays selections during seasonal times. The only thing I don't like in the shopping center is the getting out of the parking area and into the streets. Nothing can be done about that though. read more

I have been a customer at the CS store on Sepulveda and Maple for years. They have always had poor service, but today it seemed the staff was either totally incompetent, dishonest, or both! I have downloaded their mobile app to my iPhone. The cell # for this iPhone is in their database. CVS calls me on that phone to remind me to pick up prescriptions. CVS texts me on the same phone. They also send coupons to my phone app. Today I wanted to redeem a coupon towards the purchase of shampoo. I show them my phone with the barcode for my CVS card. Sorry, says Mina, the cashier, our scanner does not work on mobile phones. She offers to key in my phone number to redeem the coupon, but finds my phone number is not showing up on her computer. I explain that their computer just called that # to remind to pick up prescriptions. I show her text messages CVS has sent to the very same phone. Oh! she exclaims, that is different, our computer can not look up those phone numbers, you need to have your barcode scanned to activate the coupon. Well Gee, we just tried that, but your scanner would not work on the phone. So I did not get my $4 coupon. Not really much money, but this just seems like a dishonest way to market. Thinking Walgreens might appreciate my business a bit more!! read more

This is the Worst pharmacy ever.. It was about 12:50 pm to drop off my medication (after waiting for the old lady in front me about 5 minutes), and the person (lady) asked to me to wait 1 hr because they will have a lunch break soon. WTH??? Soon as she got my doctors note, she just asked me to wait there 1 hr to proceed it... I would understand if they were out already for lunch or something. But they were there working and the register was open... !! (They should just close the window if they really don't want to get bothered) This was the worst experience. Pros: The employee near the front door greeted me in a human-like manner, and did not use one of those horrifying scripted greetings mandated by corporate headquarters. That is quite a relief. Cons: This place is a twilight zone where everything costs way more than what you're used to paying at other stores. [For example, the ear syringe I wanted costs 2.88 on Walmart.com, 4.99 on Amazon, 5.99 at the Walgreens across the street from this CVS, and 6.79 here.] That's just one example. Everything, literally everything, seemed distressingly overpriced. Thankfully, maybe due to the high prices, the place was not crowded at all, so the fact that only one register was open was not a problem. I have to re-emphasize that the friendly, un-robotic nature of the check-out clerk was very refreshing. It's too bad that I'll never see her again because I can't afford these prices. read more
