DO NOT EVER FILL A PRESCRIPTION AT THIS PHARMACY!!! I went to pick up my medicine and it was ready but I couldn't pay for it due to some absurd excuse about system maintenance. I had to wait an extra 30 minutes and then when I paid in cash Flavia the Rx Tech couldn't count the change correctly. I told her that she gave me the wrong change but she said the drawer was closed and she couldn't do anything about it! I was bitten by a tick, hiking. It left a pretty bad sore. Fortunately, my doctor was able to see me on a Sunday and prescribed an anti-biotic. Unfortunately, the Kaiser pharmacy near me is closed Sundays. So, I stopped by the CVS to see if I could transfer my prescription. After all I had it right there on my phone. I was greeted by the pharmacy staff kindly enough, but things turned sour quickly. When I explained my pharmacy was closed and I was trying to fill it here, blah blah, I was hastily dismissed and told to have my doctor call the pharmacy. So I drove home and called Kaiser. They gave me a number for CVS to call and ensured no problem. Back to CVS. This time, the clerk was helpful enough, took my information and promised a call back once Kaiser transferred the order. That was several hours ago. Still no meds. The kicker, and the reason this CVS is getting one star is because of a bloke working behind the clerk helping me. As I explained my situation to the clerk, he weighed in that it really wasn't that hard a drive to the Kaiser in Harbor City. I had two kids at that hospital. I know how long it takes. CVS Pharmacy (W 190th St Torrance CA) has been going downhill the last few years. Their latest "adding insult to injury" is not allowing messaging or speaking directly to a pharmacist. My Medicare Part D denied a prescription and rather than calling/texting me or trying SingleCare or GoodRx they just put the prescription in limbo making me drive down there to straighten it out. I would love to change to another pharmacy but this happens to be the devil I know. read more

I just had an unexpected department store cosmetics experience at my CVS! I went on for a few boring items then was in the cosmetics aisle looking at my trusted products with narrow focus when a gentleman came by and asked if I needed help. "No thank you, I'm looking for a specific product!" Well when I had my preferred items, something in me told me to ask him for his advice and what he thought of the products. I told him what problem we are trying to fix and he recommended a product that would normally be out of a price range that I would consider but it had ingredients that I trust and he shared several examples including himself where it had been effective. Then as I was checking out he brought me a handful of fun products for my gold and for me to try! Thank you so much! I normally receive fair treatment by the pharmacy staff, but not today. I was rudely dismissed for staff's lunch break and told to come back later. It wasn't that I'd have to come back later that bothered me, but how the young lady dismissed me like I had some rare disease. No statement like, "I'm sorry, but we are closed 'til after lunch." Basically, I felt like I was being told to "Go away, Scram! You're not important enough to us to warrant even a smidgeon of congeniality." Spoke to a new pharmacist and they told me to call the number on the bottle only to find out it was the number to the CVS pharmacy ... The money is trivial but it's the principle of paying for something and not getting what you paid for. Done wasting my time trying to retrieve what was shorted to me but a negative feedback is a must for such a horrible experience. Word of advice. Count your medicine at time of dispense cause you don't want to experience what I had to and still come up empty. read more

This is a good enough as any CVS similar to me as their peers Walgreens and Rite Aid in being somewhat of a convenience store as well as reliable for OTC medications as well as filling prescriptions. This place offered no hassles and got the order right, so I can't complain. It's located with easy parking too, and is adjacent to other retail businesses, so there's other places to also shop and multi-task errands. read more

This CVS is conveniently located across the parking lot from Starbucks on 190th & Anza. It's open 24 hours. This location always has great sales on beauty products, and sometimes on the weekends they offer free samples & coupons. I've even had an employee ask me what make up I was looking for & give me tips on other products that worked better. The employees are super friendly but this location does have long waits during their peak hours. They're understaffed so sometimes your medicine isn't ready when you get the alert that it is. My tip to you is to buy your meds via the app, so when you go in they can just scan it & you can go. If you need pain meds don't go to this location. They usually don't have pain meds on hand, and I find going to a non-commercialized pharmacy will have them ready for you in 10 mins. read more

If you get your prescription called in by your doctor, be prepared for: -the Cvs will not put it in their system and tell you to get your doctor to call it inn again (because doctors have so much spear time those days) -when your doc confirmed with you and told you the exact day they called it in including sending you a screenshot of their phone calls) and you question the pharmacy why they telling you they never got anything, -the pharmacy will suggest that if you have a problem with it, you can go get your prescription filled somewhere else!!! For the last 3 years since turning 65, I've had all my meds, filled and delivered through CVS Caremark. This is their on line service, not to be confused with the brick & mortar store. I've only used the store once. I throw out my back at the gym, Doctor prescribed muscle relaxers & pain killers. Obviously I couldn't wait the 3-5 days it takes from the on line service, other then the possibility of refills! Then I'd know when I'm close to running out & order accordingly. Getting back, pun intended...Found them to be efficient, knowledgeable & friendly. Should I ever have the need for a walk in to pick up same day Meds, you guessed it, I'd go back...
