The staff here is really kind and hard working. I personally think that the negative reviews aren't warranted, not everything is the employees fault. I was here last night, and someone just came in there and stole things while there was only a female staff. These people deal with a lot the least we can do is overlook small things or someone having a bad day because it's seriously understandable given the neighborhood, but things are improving. A family member went to Walgreens to pick up medicine in the drive thru pharmacy. There was a car in front of them that was being assisted by the customer representative. The exchange took quite a bit of time. When they left, the family member pulled up and was told that the drive thru was closed because it was now lunch time. Mind you they had been waiting behind the customer that took a lot of time. Ordered pictures online and went to the store to pick them up because it said they were ready. I got to the store and the girl at the photo area was very rude and stated doesnt matter what online says but sorry they are closed(they were not closed). I said I drove over here to pick them up and pay because it stated they would are ready. She said doesn't matter they are closed(still 20 min before store closes). Not only was it a waste of time driving over here for pictures that I online stated were ready, but to be greeted with rudeness made the trip all that much worse. I remember why we stopped shopping at Walgreens inconvenient and horrible customer service. Had other items to purchase. Walked out instead. Smh read more

I've been coming here for years to pick up my moms medicine and the staff is always so kind. The pharmacist will call my mom every time she gets a new medication just to make sure everything is going well. Whenever we have insurance issues they are so helpful. No wonder they have two stars!! I never judge a place by the rating, as I know that some people are just difficult. I'm not difficult, I just expect you to be cordial at your job. You do not need to cater to me or treat me like I'm royalty but hay, after all... we the customers are paying your paycheck! Act like you enjoy your job! I don't even want to go into details but I was basically treated like I was going to commit fraud or something. I brought something back with a receipt! Esther behaved during the return transaction like I had stolen the item. Again, I had a receipt from like a week ago. Then I bought a lot of cleaning supplies, then picked up a coffee mug which rang up higher at the register, I brought it to their attention, walked with them back to double check the item... boom, I was right! The manager looked like she was angry! Why at me, I'm not your unhappy employee that missed where those mugs were supposed to be. She with a very angry demeanor brought back the tag on the shelf and gave me the $14.99 mug at $7.99... I must admit, I was surprised! I did not get greeted or got a simple smile or a welcome from ANY employees!! No wonder, I always shop at CVS!!! Took a pain prescription waited 2 hours then said they had no such prescription no record of me. One star too many. Pharmacy here is staffed by inconsiderate jerks. Emergency room doctor submitted prescription for anti seizure at 5am. These jerks turned us away at 130 because they were going to lunch and couldn't be bothered to issue the medication. A lot of Walgreens are frustrating to deal with, but this one is very slow, doesn't have very many products for sale, has most of them locked up, and the service isn't too good. Make sure you double check your receipts !!! It never fails I am overcharged at this Walgreens location. Either the computer is reading wrong or merchandise is marked wrong either way I should not have to pay more than what I think I'm paying. I don't always check my receipt but when I think I got a good deal I usually want to see why savings I received. This is by far the slowest pharmacy in all of creation. I didn't mean to come here, I was actually searching for a different Walgreens further down the road. BIG mistake. Brought my mother for shingles/pneumonia shots, and not only did it take close to 2 hours to complete the entire thing, (paperwork, waiting, waiting and did I mention waiting??) we had to come a 2nd time for the second round of shots. Thank Jesus we showed up an hour early, because we are STILL sitting here waiting for her to get her shots. I hope to never have to set foot in this establishment again. On January 4th I went into Walgreens to purchase some vitamins for a friend that test positive for COVID. The vitamins were on sale for BOGO 50% off. At the register the cashier ask me to enter my phone to receive the sales price and I did. On January 8th I noticed on my receipt that I didn't receive the 50% off on two of the vitamins so I went back to Walgreens. I talked to the Manager on duty who took my receipt and we walked to the vitamin aisle he pulled all 4 items that I purchase. He then stated that i should go to my friend and ask for the vitamins and bring them back with me to get the price adjustment. I then explained again to him that my friend has COVID. He then express to me that he will put on gloves when I come back. I couldn't believe that he had the items in his hand alone with my receipt and wouldn't do the adjustment. It took me 2 WEEKS TO FILL MY PRESCRIPTION because no one has hustle or knows how to communicate with any of their coworkers. They talked to me like i was stupid and then wouldn't give me a call after they found out that what I said, was right. They told me they would call me back twice and I waited on hold for an hour 2 days in a row. I have been a Walgreens costumer since the 120th location opened. The past few months the pharmacy has been so unprofessional. They never have my medications ready. My daughter who is 8 years old needed her medication, I had to wait nearly 3 weeks to finally get her medication. Even though I called and complaint and kept calling to keep track. Every single time since I always have to wait to receive my medications. I always call to confirm they received my prescriptions and besides holding on the phone for over 30 minutes, they denied receiving the prescriptions. Placed an order online to print some Pictures and my pick up was at 9 am they were done on time and had no problem at all . Pictures were great and I had forgotten to get a certain size photo and the nice young lady at the photo department gladly showed me how to use the kiosk . COVID vaccination appointments were at least 30 minutes behind. No chairs for those waiting, either before or after their COVID shots. Instead the manager kept yelling at everyone for "loitering" and insisted they continuously walk around the store. Hoping I can reschedule the second shot for a different location. read more

Asian Pharmacist is RACIST! Rejected my long term medication prescription because the color of my skin. Used a BS excuse that there was a new policy regarding prescriptions and my script just so happened to not pass his initial good judgment screening (which was how I looked personally, not what my script was). I have had my scripts filled regularly with no issues but for whatever reason this person spoke to me as if I was a piece of garbage drug addict and gave me nothing but bad looks and said for me to find somewhere else to fill it. Never in my life was I made felt the way that person made me feel. Awful experience and will never visit that Walgreens ever again. Beware if you are not his nationality and try to get your medication from him or the puppet he uses as a pharmacist assistant in front that also speaks and treats his own people like trash. read more

A couple of weeks ago, Walgreens experienced a technology/ systems issue, which prevented them from accessing customers' information to retrieve their medication properly. The pharmacists that evening were kind enough to manually process 1/2 of my medication that I require twice daily. When I returned last night for the other half of it, a pharmacist by the name of Eric kindly assisted me. This pharmacy is located at the corner of 120th and hawthorne blvd, the place has horrible service. I use to pick up my prescriptions at albertsons, however they were transfered by albertsons when they closed down, I thought how bad can it be? Well its bad, I waited 30 mins in the drive through and when it's my turn, they tell me I have to go inside and get in line because I was using a coupon. Then the girl could not find my prescription and told me to leave and they would call me within the hour, well it's been an hour and I'm still waiting, they just need to shut that place down or hire new employees that have patience with people.
