The Photo Department is awesome for the most part. There are 3 above and beyond extra special staff members (if I can get their names, I'll edit this listing for a "big ups shout out" compliment to their service. There's 2 photo staff however who are not as great 'tho that are less sharp and respectfully and resourcefully keen. Coming from someone that orders from Walgreens photos a lot. This is the absolute last time I will ever order anything from this Walgreens. This is the third and last time I will send an order there. I received an email stating that my order was ready and then I get there and they tell me their machine is broke. This has been happening for over a year. The third time I should've never tried again, but I thought enough time it went by for them to have their equipment working. But no, it's the same thing. And then to have the Counter person say oh yeah the emails are just automatic so you'll get that email regardless. That's unacceptable when I get an email saying something is ready and I driveway over here to get it. Horrible customer service, horrible photo system. Beware do not come here. Walgreens you need to do better. It's not that difficult. read more

Bad Experience at Walgreens - October 4th, 2:40 PM I had a very unpleasant experience at this Walgreens. There was an extremely rude older woman working behind the counter. From the moment we approached, she spoke in a rude tone, pointed at the FedEx sign, and tried to get us to leave, even though our package was well within the posted size and weight guidelines. She gave me the return label and expected me to know how to attach it without any explanation. She acted annoyed the entire time and complained throughout the interaction. I usually don't like to give low stars to anyone. But they've got to be the worst for me to finally do so. This no stars to 1 star is for the Walgreens pharmacy. My Dad and I had just gone into this Walgreens a moment ago due to an emergency he needs with his personal medicine he needs to get. The woman pharmacy employee was not helpful at all. She told my Dad it would take until 3pm for his medicine to be ready. When it only takes at most an hour. She told him that they're short staffed. More like she is lazy and did not want to help him at all. She refused to call the other Walgreens for him as he requested to see if the other Walgreens has his medicine ready or will be ready faster within an hour. Smh big time. If it weren't an emergency, we really don't mind. But due to his huge urgency, I have to Yelp their very awful pharmacy customer service here. No one especially when they need medical attention emergency with their medicine should have to be uncared for this way especially when the pharmacy staff as she are lazy and only very unhelpful. I bet if it's her own family member, she would not be that way. She'd most likely hop right onto helping them out. SMH about her and people like her. This excerpt was shared with a Walgreens Manager online: As I pulled up in the drive thru, the employee asked my name. I gave it. Then she asked for my driver's license. I asked her if this is a new protocol, since I haven't been asked in about 10 years. When I was asking the question, she began talking over me. I couldn't believe it! How rude! I asked again, but she was off the speakerphone and gathering my prescriptions. I didn't want to make a big scene. She came back to the window, placed all my prescriptions in a bag. She then sat my driver's license in the tray; it wasn't sitting flat. As she pushed out the bag, etc. my driver's license fell on the ground under my truck. There was a person waiting behind me. I had to put my truck in park, and search for my drivers license. After bumping my head, I found it. I gathered my purchase and drove to the front of the store to speak with the pharmacy manager. I asked the manager (in pharmacy) if I could speak with him. He kept replying, "Do you have a question?" I let the pharmacist know that the female employees' customer service skills were rude. The pharmacist seemed like he didn't want to be bothered with what I had to say. I went through the scenario; I was asked to see my drivers license. He informed me this is this is correct with control substances. I informed him I asked the employee why she was requesting my drivers license? She began talking over me. Also mumbling. I didn't understand what she was saying. It was clear I was being ignored. Next she moved away from the window; she was probably gathering my prescriptions. She began scanning my prescriptions. Next she put them in a bag. She asked me if I needed to speak with the pharmacist about any of my meds. I told her no. She then pushed them through the slot (Including my drivers license). She NEVER let me know there wasn't a fee. She NEVER verified my telephone number. I brought this up to the pharmacist. He said she asked me for the last 4 digits of my phone number. I told him a few times she didn't. He said it's the law. I told him again, I never heard her ask me for my last 4 digits of my phone number. All employees at Walgreens ask for my address or my whole phone number. This pharmacist was more concerned about if I got charged. He said, well, you weren't charged. Yes, that is true. With that point, she could have extended her customer service by 1informing me that I have 8 prescriptions I'm picking up, but I am not being charged for any; instead of putting them in a big bag and shoving them to me, no explanation, nothing. I brought up the employee asking for my drivers license, and just talking over me. He never addressed that. It finally came to a point, that I am wasting my time. In addition, the employee we were discussing was standing by close, listening to our conversation. I don't know if you have recordings of the conversations between the employees and customers. I am a regular customer. I come almost every week. Raphael who works on days can attest, he asks for my phone number or address every time. The employee could have told me the following: For control substances, we normally ask for verification like a drivers license. I had 8 medications I picked up. She could have said, "I scanned your meds and there is no charge." And she could have not talked over me when I asked/questioned about giving her my drivers license. Pop's doctor recommended he drink Glucerna as a supplement. And that was the ONLY reason I was here. (Not the closest to me, but it was convenient for other errands I needed to do.) Admitting, I couldn't find it, but wanting not to bug staff, I decided to just go up and down the isles where the shakes are. No cigar. After maybe 20 minutes, I gave up and got ready to just bounce. Luckily, I ran into one of their staff and asked about it. She immediately knew what it was and pointed at the right isle, "There's a section for diabetes patients, that's where it'll be along with other items they may need." Isn't that cool?! Good to know! One thing I appreciate are workers who are knowledgeable about where their products are. Got to that isle, and sure enough, there it was. Spoke to Chiquita and she was quite possibly the rudest person I've ever spoken to at a Walgreens pharmacy. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes to talk to a pharmacist she asked what I needed- in the middle of answering her question she talked over me twice asking for my DOB. She then continued the rest of the phone call in a very annoyed tone, condescendingly addressing me as "sweetheart". When she replied with "I'll check on it. Is that all you need?"I tried to explain to her that I needed my prescription before I left town on Monday (which is why I called it in to be ready 3 days ago). She then hung up on me mid sentence. I Had to call back, wait on hold again, and.get connected with the manager to get my prescription expedited and ready in time because of her lack of assistance. read more

I recently switched all of my prescriptions to this Walgreens from the CVS down the street. The CVS pharmacist treated me very poorly, and though I had never been to this Walgreens pharmacy and it was a bit farther, I decided to give it a try. Thank GOD I did! I'm in and out of the hospital and medical offices, and quite fatigued from treatments. So, I very much appreciate the kindness that I have received from Nish, Joni and Andrew when I collected my prescriptions this week. The poor customer in front of us at the counter was never assisted. In the end he had to get someone's attention to even take his drop off prescription. My son and I went for walk in flu/COVID vax. Don't bother. When we were finally acknowledged they said scan the QR code and make an appointment for the following week. There is a lack of manpower and customer service at this location. Came here to fill a prescription for things I needed for a Balloon Sinuplasty. Doctor had given me an ointment to put in my nose to help kill off bacteria. Pharmacist didn't like the instructions so he said he needed to clarify. Fine... I will come back tomorrow after the procedure. I come back the next day and still has not clarified. Apparently they have been playing phone tag. Whatever, I ask if we can just put the instructions as stated or use as directed as I have seen this done many times because I worked as a pharmacy tech way back in my day. He states he does not feel comfortable doing that. This is an ointment that helps kill bacteria. This is not a oxycoton or xanax here. Long story short, he becomes rude, he cuts us off and states other customers are priority right now. We are the only ones in there. Located on the corner of Hawthorne Bl and Artesia Bl in Redondo Beach. Since both are busy street it could take time to exit out of this location but since COVID traffic has been more light so you shouldn't have any issues. The store is clean and nicely set up. Check was a breeze and the lady actually helped me get a but one get one free on one of the items I purchased which I didn't know so that was nice of her to tell me. My over all experience here was very good and it's actually closer to me than the Gardena one. read more

Staff super friendly, super knowledgeable, and haven't tried to pressure me into purchasing anything I didn't need. For years, I have been helped by Marsi, who has provided exceptional help. She is courteous and really values your business, and I couldn't ask for better help! She has also taken my past two passport photos. The Walgreens products, especially for paper goods, are wonderful. Bejon got me hooked on them! He is a terrific manager at this location. If they are out of products, he will match the price for other products if you ask. He is serious about getting everything right and wants you to shop there. The location is sooo convenient. This is the worst pharmacy experience I have ever had. Coming from CVS that was closed just down the street from this particular Walgreens and is how I ended up here. CVS pharmacist Mable and her staff were 1000% on point, helpful, personable, friendly. Walgreens pharmacist and staff not very happy, friendly or personable at all. Lately they have been even more absent than usual. I recently used the drive thru I was third in line in the afternoon with maybe 5 more cars (horns honking) piling up in line behind me. It was 30 min before I reached the window for them to tell me they were out of my prescription and that it had to be ordered when two days prior I received an automated call saying it was ready for pick up. They're always out of repeated medications, staff misinformed, doesn't look like the pharmacist and techs communicate or even get along. This behavior is not limited to pharmacy front of the house pretty much the same. Lacking customer service professionals! Hardly ever a clerk at the register and usually only one line. I was planning to re-direct my medication to the Gardena location since I no longer work in South Bay. However after dealing and receiving the treatment I received at the Gardena location. I rather drive 100 miles than to make the switch. This location is always clean - staff is so welcoming. Most importantly the PHARMACY is the best. The people that run the pharmacy are terrible. We went by for a covid test with an appointment from 1.15-1.30. Got to the window at 1.25 and was informed by the person on the other side of the glass that they had to close for lunch. I said, "But I have an appointment?" "Sorry. It's time for me to take my lunch break." So I said "Come on man, it's for my 9 y.o. sick daughter." "Sorry. Lunch break..." All of this before their break at 1.30. So I call to complain to the pharmacy manager who's telling me that I was there late, which I wasn't, and that a covid test takes over 5 minutes? Really? Do they have some sort of special covid test at Walgreens that takes 4 minutes longer than the one I took yesterday?? I asked him how it is that his pharmacist could not take a few minutes to give a test to a sick kid. His response? An apathetic, "I don't know what to tell you." Avoid this pharmacy. Been shopping here since it's opening, but I've only been in this store at about 6:00am as it is on my way to work. I've shopped here at that time PLENTY of times though. Most of the employees are pleasant... wait, no, they WERE pleasant. Over the past year or so, I've noticed that this 6:00am shift is not the happy and helpful squad, maybe they never really were and I was just stoked to have a 24 hour store on my way to work? They seem to be more interested in stocking the shelves and yelling conversations back and forth about random things. I'm fine with hearing foul language to a certain degree but I think that if you are employed in a position where the public is within earshot, it should NEVER be spoken. This is almost a regular thing during my early morning quick stops at this Walgreens. I used to stop in once or twice a week, I'd buy gifts for co-workers, birthday cards, things for home and for my desk at work.... I no longer stop in here unless it's an emergency sitch now. It's an effort to get someone to the cash registers in the mornings, even if one sees you they don't call the cashier. I'm not singling out a one-time thing either, this is the norm with 2 regular employees. I love love LOVE that it is open 24 hours and the selection is pretty good all over the store, especially the seasonal items. This place is 4-5 stars for it's hours and variety of items. ...... however, it's a 1 or 2 for the employees and their lack of tact or decency. Stop making this nice, new, great store a ghetto. By far the cleanest and friendliest Walgreens I've been to, and I've been to quite a few all around LA County (west side, south side, east valley, etc). This morning, the customer service was amazing! I only saw 3 employees working in the front, but each person was polite and professional; even said "if you need anything else let me know." One staff even asked me to show him where I found a specific item so he can know for next time! 5* review based on customer service and organization of the store. The worst service of any drug store. Went with my mother to see if she could get the covid booster. Did not have an appointment as her English is not great and she is not savvy with the internet. I came to visit and suggested we go get her booster as she is now eligible. Went to this location. Pharmacy was empty. Nobody in line. Asked the pharmacist if she could get the booster. He asked if she had an appointment. I said no but could we please get one since we were there and they didn't appear busy. The guy looks to the other pharmacist who shakes his head without looking at us. Said we need to make an appointment. Told him we called before coming in and no answer. To which the pharmacist asked why we were calling when we could have booked online. Rude dismissive lazy and useless seems to be the theme of this pharmacy. We left and went up the road to CVS. Waited in line at the pharmacy. Asked the same question. The guy behind the counter says sure. Takes her card does the update and administers the shot. So pleasant , helpful and kind. My point being all that took less time than going back and fourth with someone lazy and committed to saying the word NO. In a climate where we are supposed to be encouraging all Americans to get the vaccine in order to eradicate this virus this is an absolute disgrace. This location has taken on the service mantra of "we can't do it" I had a cart full of things I planned to buy that I put back. Not giving a location that hires people like this one cent of my money. This Walgreens is awful. It says that they open at 8am. I went and it was not open, yet there was plenty of team members inside walking around. Another customer arrived at 8:10am and we both were standing and waiting for them to open. At 8:15am, a team member came Slowwwwwly walking to open the doors. Opens the doors and walks away, no "good morning" no "sorry about the wait" NOTHING! I went to the photos area to grab my pictures and the same Team member was there. I said hi and gave her my name for photos. She had zero personality and was so unkind. She kept saying ummmmmm what type of pictures? What's the name so after repeating myself 3 times to her she found them. I went to pay and she was also the cashier. She was in her personal phone, and made me feel like I was bothering her. Finally she rang me up. At this point it is now 8:45am. I understand that everywhere is short staffed, but hey you choose to work at this place, be grateful that you have a job that YOU applied for. Show up, and be kind! I will not be going to this location again. Oh and I'm being generous at giving it one star, because my photos were done correctly. read more

Well, it happened. Just as I was going to celebrate getting through winter without a day of illness, the illness struck. Specifically, I got a mild cold, so it's not too bad. Whenever the cold or flu rears its ugly head, I use the best combination of over the counter meds there is available. I buy Sudafed with pseudoephedrine, and a saline nasal spray. This time around, I don't have a stuffy nose, but just a sore throat with some mild chest congestion. So the Sudafed is my wonder drug this time around. To buy anything with pseudoephedrine, you need to present your ID, and sign a statement saying that you won't turn the pseudoephedrine into any sort of drug. Also, you can only buy a certain amount per month. When used, it is very effective in dealing with cold and flu symptoms. When coupled with the saline nasal spray, it feels like I'm not even sick. Of course, I give it about a week until I return to the gym, as my body still needs time to deal with the illness. The store itself is clean, well stocked, and efficiently run. It's sits at the border of Redondo Beach and Torrance. For all things over the counter, check this place out. And as for try at avoiding the illness all winter... I'll try again next year. read more

Beware as your tests will get lost! My husband and I made appointments to get our PCR Covid tests completed on 8/14/21. They told us that we would get our results in 24-48 hours via email or we could contact Aegis Labs and provide our ID numbers that Walgreens provided to us. Neither of us received our results. We called the lab and although they had a record of our appointments with Walgreens, they shared that they didn't receive our samples. My husband and I called Walgreens separately. They told us that they ship out tests, including Saturdays, everyday. They do not track shipments. Walgreens told me, "Well, no one else has called in that they didn't receive their results."
