Not listening properly, making it harder than what it actually was! If only she'd listen in the first place! THEN she told me to wait because there were other people that needed to get to work behind me! So did I, lady!! My request is please don't offer a service for customers if you don't want to serve it! The cashier tried to grab my card and take it from me. I wouldn't let him grab it. He yelled in my face, "No gas for you!" And called the next customer in line. All of the customers witnessed this outburst and were shocked. I needed gas so I went to the back of the line to try paying again. I didn't want to make everyone wait. When I was at the front of the line again, the cashier scowled at me and went to hide in the back room. I asked him, "so you are not going to sell me gas?" And he shouted, "NO!" What an immature man. He was very short, with curly dark hair and brown eyes. He obviously has never heard of customer service. He was so unprofessional. I would advise women boycott this business because they employ sexist jerks here. I will give other gas stations my business as there are plenty to choose from in this area.

Anyhow, on work order sheet they ask the time you need your car back so I wrote 4 to 5pm since I assumed it would take all day if there was going to be a problem. I went across the street to Amai coffee to wait. Dropped off car a few minutes before 9am. They had 2 cars being serviced at the time I left my car. Got a call from Mo around 10:35am. They did the oil change and checked everything for leaks and since car engine fan was one of my concerns they checked coolant and head gasket (don't ask me what that is but assume it has to do with the cooling down of car lol, obviously I am not an expert). He said all looked fine. Got my car back earlier than I thought but car sounds great again. I am happy! Thank you guys for your help. I will come back for our family car needs. As we all have been noticing, the prices have been creeping up. Today, the price of regular was $5.25 regular and $5.45 premium at Hawthorne Costco. What is surprising is that at Torrance Costco, the gas is $5.19 regular and $5.69 premium. These prices are reflected in the app in real time. Since our vehicles use premium, the Hawthorne location has been consistently lower so far for us.

Hawthorne is located right off the 405 Rosecrans exit going west. The price is better and you can get right back on the 405 south from the signal at the Costco exit. With hours until 10 PM during the week, there's little to no waiting in line to fill up. This is a no brainer for anyone in the South Bay living fairly close to the 405, 110, or 105. Since they always have staff working during business hours, it's a lot safer than a lot of gas stations in Gardena, Lawndale, Hawthorne or nearby areas at night. No people harassing you for spare change or trying to pump gas for you. Credit and membership only eliminates many problems. Plug the gas is Top Tier (high quality like major refineries). $4.69 for regular as of 7/3/26.
