I am writing a review for unacceptable customer service experience at one of your stores…read more I purchased several items in-store on September 18 and selected the option to have my receipt emailed to me. I received the email receipt; however, the barcode image never displayed. The barcode number itself is visible in the email. On September 25, I returned to the store to return the items. I showed the associate my original email receipt on my phone, including the barcode number. The associate was unsure how to process the return because the barcode image was not showing, so she asked a manager for assistance. I believe the manager's name was Sidney or Cindy. Although she was standing directly in front of me, she spoke only to the associate instead of addressing me. When she asked why the barcode was not showing, I explained that this was how the receipt was originally emailed to me. She ignored my explanation and began assisting another customer without resolving the issue. The associate attempted to manually enter the receipt information but told me she was unsure how to do it and could not get it to work. I stood at the counter for approximately 20 minutes holding my small baby in a store that was already very hot because there was no air conditioning. During this time, the manager passed by us several times but made no effort to assist or resolve the problem. I was extremely disappointed with the manager's lack of professionalism and customer service. Her overall presentation was also concerning, including visibly dirty hands and several broken nails, which added to my concerns about the professionalism and cleanliness standards being maintained in the store.I then contacted customer service via email, Julie N provided me with a copy of my receipt with no barcode and I informed her the store doesnt know how to process a return if the barcode isnt displayed.I wrote back again Informing the company I need a receipt with a barcode Tony replied and stated all sales are final when five below website states a full refund is due if you return the items within 90 days unopened with a receipt.

Clerk who helped me was busy so I told the manager, who ignored me and walked away from me. When the clerk summoned her to help return my money to me, she took over 15 minutes to come back. When I vented my frustration, she walked off and said she refused to help me. I never got my money back for the overcharged items. The security didn't allow me to take two more equal priced items to make up the difference. They are holding my money hostage and refuse to correct their mistakes. This happened around 8:20 and I left at 8:40pm.

At that point, I walked to the back and knocked myself. When she finally responded, she was rude and completely dismissive. I explained that I was 9 months pregnant, that I would purchase something, and that I really needed to use the restroom. Her response was that she was in the middle of watching a video and would not allow me to use the bathroom because it was not open to the public. I understand policies. I really do. But there is something called basic empathy and common sense. Special circumstances should matter. A visibly pregnant woman asking for help should not be treated like an inconvenience. What made it worse was the reaction from the employees. The young cashiers clearly felt bad and even said they wished they could help, but they have to ask her for a key just to use the restroom themselves. That says a lot about the environment they are working in. It did not feel supportive or respectful at all. I have heard negative things about this manager before, and now I understand why. The way she treated both a customer and her own staff was unacceptable. Customer service clearly is not a priority here, and that is a problem. Management like this reflects poorly on the entire store. There needs to be accountability because no one should be treated this way, especially when they are simply asking for a basic human need. I hope she reads this and reflects on her leadership; it's piss poor and I hope those young cashiers lessen that they can definitely do better than working under her.

There were a number of Ugg pillows in neutral colors. I brought a picture of my sofa with me to refresh my memory while shopping. One of the salespersons on the floor gave me his opinion on which colors to buy after showing him my picture. I ended up getting 2 to compare when I got home. Returns within 30 days for a full refund, or store credit after that time. Note that they charge 10 cents for paper bags now.

When I tell you that every single ethnicity is represented in terms of those who work here as well as the shopping clientele or patrons themselves it comes as no overstatement. Suffice to say the word is out amongst everyone wide and far that this particular location has ample product-holiday stuff being key among that for the current season we are entering. Once inside, you have to love the fact that every other few minutes someone gets on the PA system and commends a shopper on making a contribution to various food banks. In light of the fact that over 40 million Americans lost their snap benefits, every little bit helps. What many don't realize is the rippling effect the lack of SNAP benefits has not only on the food recipients themselves, but also on the grocery stores you frequent. They too are now not getting anything. A voice comes over the PA system and says something to the effect of "shout out to such and such who just donated to such and such a food bank". They then end the announcement with a funny little "whooo hooo" howl. Lol Now on to the product itself. There are tons and tons of Christmas and holiday items, so much so that even the pictures may not do them justice. In any case, I'll let you all decide on what products you would get, but I know I'll certainly be back. Now let's talk people, and the sheer amount of them. You'll definitely want to avoid this joint during weekends if you're at all claustro or human phobic-lol. I myself love the crowds, particularly around this time of year. But then again I came up that way. But if you like going solo, are in a rush, or just don't want to be tapped or accidentally brushed upon in any way shape or form, your best off coming early in the week. Within the 30 to 45 minutes I was in the store, I must have been bumped either on my person or on my basket at least four or five times. But as stated before, I'm all good with the crowds and human interaction, even though I'm giving serious consideration to consider dating an android that looks like C-3PO with a wig, but more on that later.... So I ended up having to take a call from family that took me out and away from this store, but I'll certainly be back soon to take advantage of some of the great discounts. I locked back in, but soon became overwhelmed with the sheer volume of kids toys, and how much better they've gotten. I first spotted a X Shot Gatling Motor Soaker ($39.99), that is essentially a water cannon turret. It said ages 8+, but how could I not? My girlfriend had to talk me out of countless other 8+ items, but I might spin the block and buy them for myself. The advancement in nerf gun technology is fascinating. In total I spent $300 on toys and filled a life-sized stocking with toys for him, as my personal theme for his party was "Christmas in July." Best $300 I've ever spent. The Motor Soaker was a HUGE hit at his function, with everyone from the ages of 2 to 86 taking their turn with it. Some things in life truly transcend the changing tastes that come with aging. There were these cool jeans on clearance but the price tag was not there and they looked it up and I told the cashier there were several jeans there. The store is highly disorganized in their clearance section. I also went to try to get water. They are out of stock and so I also didn't like that. Also when I went to checkout and paid for the item I bought and requested cash back the cashier was spaced and didn't give me my item. I was seriously super patient but they were just out of it from beginning to end. I personally don't like this location and won't come back again.

There's a huge selection of clothes, shoes, fragrances etc and often on sale! There is absolutely no pressure to buy anything from the staff (I'm a fan of that). Nevermind the fact that my mother and I spend thousands annually with the brand, and at this location in particular-(see my previous reviews here particularly the one where I dropped $300 plus on that new Channel Blue) not too long ago! No wonder why they're reviews and stars here so low. While the cologne Dept is staffed with pros, the furniture- bedding and mattress department leaves a lot to be desired-unless of course this timeline or deadline is to how long someone can stay seated is written into policy. I proceeded to make my way downstairs within another department entirely to ask about talking to a manager. Within less than ten minutes a Manager named Terry (female) came down to listen to my complaint, and informed me that she would have a "talk with the individual in question"-whatever that entails. I asked the manager wether or not there was an official Macy's policy that gave staff or associate's of Macy's (particularly within the mattress or furniture department) the ability or authority to actually TIME how long said person can be sitting at or within the furniture department and whether or not the staff had the authority to ask them to leave kindly or otherwise-she indicated there was in fact no such policy. I'll be reaching out to Macy's Corporate come this Monday to follow up-and ensure that no such policy exists, and just what the boundaries or limitations are going forward to save other people the awkwardness and embarrassment of having to get up and move off the furniture- particularly when all they were going to do was to be seated for a few more minutes anyways. The ambiance of this location is very chill, with the noise level being low. It's plenty comfortable with sound that you do not need to raise your voice to have a conversation with your shopping partner or to ask questions of staff. There are no stairs or elevators needed to enter this store, making it very handicap friendly. There are also handicap assistive doors on the entrances to the mall, adding extra assistance. There are no televisions located in the store, therefore no needed subtitles. Handicap parking is located near several entrances to the mall.
