I have been using this pharmacy for many years and never had a single issue. Then I met the pharmacist Mandicia. Safeway switched their policy on the text notifications where you can no longer see which medications are being filled. Very frustrating when you take nine medications! All I want is to be able to pick up my medicine once or twice (I get it's difficult with that many meds) a month. I went to pick up my medication and noticed that one was missing. I inquired and was told it would not be ready for several days and that didn't make any sense to me. I went home and the bottle clearly had the same date as the others, so I called to get some clarification. From the gate Mandicia was rude. Beyond rude. She wouldn't let me get a word in, had a very nasty attitude and refused to believe me. I understand that the medication is a controlled substance (an anxiety med I've been taking for about 15 years), but there is no reason why I should've been spoken to like I was "drug seeking". All I wanted was clarification. I waited three more days until the text notification said it was ready. Unfortunately, Mandicia was there and not Mavis. Immediately she started with the same exact attitude. Same medication- different issue this time. Once again she wouldn't let me talk, and she refused to answer my question. I was so frustrated that I asked for her name- I couldn't see her name tag. She refused to even tell me what her name was! She comes out of her booth and starts talking to the customer waiting in line behind me while I'm still standing there trying to pay. Mind you- this entire transaction was only two minutes, so it wasn't like I was taking up a bunch of her time. I'm at my wits end! There's no way I should've been spoken to that once let alone twice. I get people have bad days, but leave the attitude at home. I get it's a controlled substance, but not everyone is trying to pull a fast one. In fact- I was trying to get less pills so my medication will now be all ready on the same day. Now I'm torn between supporting Mavis and avoiding Mandicia like the plague.

I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but after speaking with Ms. Dee, I quickly realized my original choice wasn't nearly as beautiful as what she recommended. Her expertise and eye for design made all the difference. The arrangement she created was absolutely stunning, and Kim loved it! Since my mother-in-law, my daughter, my goddaughters, and their mom were all visiting to celebrate with us, I also wanted to surprise each of them with flowers. Once again, Ms. Dee came through with gorgeous arrangements that perfectly fit each person. Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces made the occasion even more meaningful. Ms. Dee is the perfect example of what outstanding customer service looks like. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, patient, and genuinely kind. She took the time to understand what I wanted, offered thoughtful recommendations, and treated me as if helping make our anniversary special was just as important to her as it was to me. Because of Ms. Dee, our anniversary celebration was even more memorable. Her warmth, attention to detail, and passion for what she does have earned a customer for life. If you're looking for beautiful flowers and exceptional service, do yourself a favor and ask for Ms. Dee. She is simply the best!

I always check out the bakery, because the cakes are worth writing home about & expertly decorated in a simplistic yet elegant way. Prices are steep-as expected for this chain-but the store is clean, well-organized & very spacious. And beware of what I call the "Wegman's stampede" (shoppers shopping like they're in a post-apocalyptic movie, frantically pushing their grocery carts like they're competing on "Supermarket Sweep"). The best way to avoid it is to look above the crowd; resist the urge to make eye contact & people will move out of your way.

Upon entering your establishment last night, I immediately noticed a staff member, later identified as Ms. Anne, demonstrating remarkable customer service. She was attentively engaged with another patron, exhibiting profound empathy and clear communication. Her approach was not merely efficient but deeply caring, leaving a visibly positive impression. As I navigated the store, I continued to observe Ms. Anne interacting with various customers. Her unwavering positivity and evident passion for her work were palpable, confirming her status as a cherished presence among shoppers. Later, while I paused, momentarily contemplating my next move, Ms. Anne approached me. With a welcoming smile and an open heart, she inquired if I needed assistance, showing genuine concern. Our subsequent brief, delightful conversation, which included a light-hearted exchange about future aspirations, revealed her identity. I learned that Ms. Anne is a front-line manager who has dedicated an impressive 30 years of her career to Walmart, and she anticipates retiring from the company. Ms. Anne embodies the pinnacle of customer service. Her ability to forge meaningful connections, her steadfast dedication, and her consistently cheerful demeanor are truly inspiring. Employees of Ms. Anne's caliber are invaluable assets, cultivating customer loyalty and elevating the overall shopping experience. It is my earnest hope that Walmart will acknowledge Ms. Anne's profound contributions. After three decades of exemplary service, she merits recognition that extends beyond the ordinary. I strongly advocate for a retirement package, perhaps a comprehensive pension, that ensures her comfort and reflects the immense value she has brought to your organization. Her enduring commitment speaks volumes, demonstrating that her choice to build a career with Walmart has been a source of deep pride, and she should be honored accordingly. I am profoundly grateful for my encounter with Ms. Anne, whose perfect personality left an indelible mark.

I found myself shopping at this Alexandria Virginia area Walmart while on vacation. Sometimes,…read moremeals coming from a supermarket and even Walmart is cheaper than eating out at restaurants. Just happened to kill some time after arriving, so I popped into this Walmart to see what deals and bargains were to be had here. I spent about an hour browsing the store, focusing on mostly grocery items and food that can be eaten right away without refrigeration or microwaved. I feel like Walmart sells a lot of these items daily for many of their customer base. With that said, I was here around 6pm on a chilly Wednesday afternoon in March 2026. Walmart usually is very competitive with the usual supermarkets, so I could get something for my money. I did just that. I chose what I wanted after weaving around the larger than life store and promptly proceeded to the checkout, where I paid for my stuff and got out. I enjoyed this Walmart very much because they are familiar to me and they sell many items that I typically use in daily life when I'm not traveling. I frequent Walmart when I can because it can have a lot of the everyday items for sale that everyday people need on a daily basis. The beauty of Walmart is that they try to be that one stop shop for many people in the local area and for those who are passing thru as well. It's also very budget friendly for anyone who shops here. I am blessed that this Walmart is located within walking distance from my Airbnb here in Alexandria. If you're staying in Alexandria and need supplies for your life, consider coming and shop. Walmart is the best for competitive prices for sure. The overall experience here at this Walmart store in Alexandria, Virginia was very good and very quiet. It was rush-hour on a Wednesday evening in DC and Alexandria and definitely was nice to be able to be shopping here as a tourist and not be hurried by the hustle and bustle of the DC daily commute. I enjoyed my time here especially because it was relaxed and quiet. The Walmart is typically large and has plenty of walking space for anyone - customer or staff, to move around the sales floor. The ambiance was good and it felt good to be here, especially because it was still winter time in March 2026. I spent about an hour here shopping and finding what I needed for my weeklong trip in Alexandria. For the most part though, finding this Walmart within walking distance from my Airbnb was amazing, a godsend, and definitely worth coming here for a low budget stay in Alexandria, Virginia. If you're staying nearby and want your stay to be as cost effective as possible, consider coming to the local Walmart at the Mount Vernon Crossroads Mall. Like all Walmarts, this one also has your basic necessities as well, food and other stuff. If you love a bargain, come here! My experience here at this Alexandria area Walmart was short, typical, and sweet. I Found what I was looking for and paid for my purchase, and was off to the Airbnb for the night. I wandered around the store enough to find what I was looking for. I did not need assistance from the Walmart staff. Most of everything at Walmart is basically self service, Which I enjoy. Only problem with that is taking time to look for it, which is not so hot. Still, my experience here at this Walmart was good since I'm trying to vacation on a budget while being able to vacation and adult at the same time. This Walmart is physically situated in Alexandria, Virginia inside the Mount Vernon Crossroads Mall outlet. It's physically located 7910 Richmond Highway in Alexandria. They accept major credit cards as well as cash, as all Walmarts do. There is a Subway restaurant nearby, though I wished that it was inside the Walmart versus elsewhere. As far as parking goes, they have a large and generous parking area for y'all who drive. If you're like me, public transportation is available (DC metro and other public buses) for anyone and everyone who wishes to come into the Alexandria area from anywhere in the DMV triangle. And of course, there's Uber and Lyft and Empower at your convenience. If you're looking for daily essentials and meal preparation ideas, you can consider coming here for all the things you'd possibly need here at Walmart. Walmart is quintessential the best thing that happened to compete with others in the shopping space. Costco is nearby but Walmart is competitive to bring customers like me who value quality and prices while having that convenience covered on a day to day basis. Shopping here at this Alexandria Walmart was good and definitely worth coming here. Takes all the guest-work of being a tourist in these parts to make sure that traveling on a budget remains inside the budget and not blowing up the bank. Thanks to Alexandria Walmart for making my experience one of the best ever. 5.0 stars for the overall experience, mostly for the prices, quality, and the close proximity to my Airbnb. Support local! Over the past several months, I have repeatedly encountered delays, conflicting information, and administrative obstacles while attempting to obtain medication prescribed by my physician. What should have been a straightforward process became a prolonged series of phone calls, paperwork, and communications between my doctor's office and CVS Caremark. One of the most frustrating aspects of my experience was learning that medication I had previously received was suddenly subject to new prior authorization requirements. In other instances, I was informed that coverage limitations or authorization requirements had changed, requiring additional documentation and approvals. These changes occurred after my treatment plan had already been established by my physician, creating uncertainty about whether I would be able to continue receiving the medication I needed. Throughout this process, I often received different answers depending on whom I spoke with at CVS Caremark. I was instructed to have my physician's office submit specific forms, only to later learn that additional forms, different authorizations, or further documentation were required. Each time new requirements emerged, I had to contact my doctor's office again, and their staff had to spend additional time attempting to satisfy CVS Caremark's requests. As a result, I found myself caught in a continuous cycle between my physician's office and CVS Caremark. Information was frequently inconsistent, requirements appeared to change, and responsibility seemed to shift from one party to another. The process was not only time-consuming but also stressful, particularly because it involved medication that my physician had determined was necessary for my care. After going through this experience, I have little confidence that this letter will result in meaningful change. It is difficult for me to believe that the concerns of individual members receive the attention necessary to correct systemic issues that continue to affect access to prescribed treatment. While I hope that CVS Caremark leadership takes these concerns seriously, my experience has left me skeptical that meaningful action will be taken. Unfortunately, individuals like me often feel as though we are at the mercy of a system over which we have little control. Decisions regarding coverage, prior authorizations, and medication access can have a significant impact on our lives, yet the process can feel opaque, unresponsive, and disconnected from the realities faced by those who depend on these medications. I am sharing this letter because my experience has left me concerned about the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of the process. My hope is that CVS Caremark will take steps to improve communication, reduce unnecessary administrative hurdles, and ensure that individuals are not subjected to avoidable delays in accessing prescribed treatment.
