Then again it usually does, and I was happy to use a coupon for non prescription sleeping medicine. That helps too as it's like Mike Tyson. TKO! They do have a lot of employees here. I appreciated their assistance checking out. Sorry not sorry as the self checkout is a ridiculous concept. Others may feel differently which is okay, just a preference. Don't bother wasting your time. They fill half orders and forget to complete orders, consistently. Even ones called in directly from the doctor's office. It's shameful. read more

I use CVS in Old Town on S Washington st all the time . This weekend I went in and got the rudest treatment anyone could ask for , the Pharmacist is nice it was the young lady who was assisting . I should of known as soon as I approached and said hi, her response was how can I help You. A hello would of been great I did pass it on no one has responded yet. read more

I went to this CVS this morning to get my 1 yr old some medicine for what I think is a cough or allergy. To my surprise, there was no infant medicine so I asked the pharmacist about it and she said they no longer make infant cough medicine unless your doc prescribes it. Well, that just sucks. She did recommend what to do, buy children's medicine and give a very small dose (which is what the doctor tells you anyway, or so mine has in the past). So great, she was super helpful and I really appreciated her time and advice. I go to pay and when the cashier scans the box, he is alerted that the medicine has expired!!! OMG! That's crazy how it notifies you but GREAT for me and my baby. The cashier immediately went to help me find another one that was not expired. This was a great experience because being in a rush to help my baby, I had not even thought to check the expiration date but luckily their system did. Great job pharmacist and cashier! This store consistently does not have items that are in every other cvs. Have wasted my time walking here on multiple occasions to find simple products cvs carries to be left empty handed. I have also been charged more than the price on the sticker multiple times and after informing the employees of the mistake and a few minutes later the price was changed to what it is originally tagged. Good location and convenient if they have what you need and do not overcharge you. read more

As CVS goes, this one is not very good. It's just really dirty, disorganized, and unfortunatly has to deal with a lot of low income customers who I have seen attempting to steal stuff, opening packages of food in the store and putting it back, etc. If you can go elsewhere, I"d recommend it. But if you just need some small toiletry type items this place is fine. read more

We go to this CVS pharmacy only because it is a short walk away. Yelp readers should be advised of the risks they may be taking. Between my wife and myself we recently had 4 prescriptions to be filled during a 5 week period. Of those four, the pharmacist made two mistakes: 1.) For an prescription/order of 60 pills the container only contained 30. When I called to get a correction (and the additional pills I had been charged for) I was met with a series of dropped calls, defenses, excuses and explanations. After being rebuffed by 3 people and several unreturned voice messages CVS then took the position that I had to bring the prescription itself back to the store so they could review it. Of course I no longer had the actual RX because CVS had retained it when they filled the order. After dealing with this bureaucratic nonsense over several days I finally reached a supervisor at CVS headquarters who told me (in an annoyed voice) they would 'have to check with the doctor', 'conduct an investigation' and get back to me within 48 hours. Five days later I did get a call saying CVS would issue the additional 30 missing pills. They then assured me it had all been 'an honest mistake'. 2.) On the other prescription, the CVS-applied label said the dosage was to be "1/2 tablet per day". The prescription itself as written by the doctor stated "2 tablets per day". Admittedly these were not fatal or even serious mistakes. But then why do we have to deal with inept pharmacists in the first place? If a CVS pharmacist can make the above-described 'honest' mistakes, how do we know the medication as placed in the container is the correct one or is the proper strength as stated? In almost all other countries medications are prepackaged and labeled at the factory. Why are we subject to the mistakes of a human pharmacist who is having a bad day or otherwise becomes distracted?? read more

Ive been a loyal CVS customer for years, until today. They recently put me in their "auto call" system which is basically a telephone solicitation for meds during Allergy and flu season. I called to be removed from the list and was told that they would only be able to take my number out completely and the pharmacist wouldn't be able to contact me in the event of an issue with a prescription. On the website, you can only contact them by mail or phone during business hours. Hassle. Walgreens is looking pretty good right now. read more

I went into my local CVS after work simply to buy facewash and a bottle of wine. When I got to the register, I said, "Hi," smiled and put down my items. The cashier, a middle-aged tall African American lady with an accent in a purple cardigan and curly hair (I didn't get her name, thus a description) glared at me, not ringing anything up. It took me a second to realize she wanted my ID (although normally, they just ask for it instead of frowning at you). When I gave it to her, she exclaimed, "Is this you?!" When I told her it was and laughed, she continued to stare at it. I understand that this is her job, but I had clearly just gotten off work (I was wearing a blazer for Christ's sake). I know I look young, but there really is a more polite way to handle such situations. Innocent until proven guilty? Not at this CVS. Completely over the top. I tried calling to speak with the manager only to be put on hold forever. I guess they are on a crackdown on underagers and thinks it's permissible to be rude to legal drinkers. I've seen this happen to someone else, too, who was clearly legal. P.S. The pharmacy department there is great though. Just not this cashier. read more
