For starters I've been here before but a long time ago & I ate lunch... today I eat dinner anyway for an appetizer I eat sarotoga chips the waiter was like once you eat one you won't stop eating them. Um!! That was true, also eat some carribean beef pockets but when the waiter delivered I was like thinking those are pastelillos but they were flavorful. We were looking for dinner after attending an evening event at the Botanical Gardens. Curly's Grill is conveniently located minutes from there. Curly's has two convenient parking lots. The restaurant is has multiple dining rooms as well as a banquet facility. I would describe the atmosphere as slightly upscale casual. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted and seated. We were given the choice of a physical menu or digital through our cell phones. We opted for the digital and were pleased that it opens easily. We've found that at some restaurants their digital menus don't always open easily. The menu was varied, consisting of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. My wife chose an open face tenderloin sandwich that came with fresh cut fries. I went with the jerk chicken dinner that they are known for. It came with a small side salad with a few interesting dressing choices. I went with a mango vinaigrette and found it to be quite good. Pomegranate vinaigrette was another choice that I would like to try. We both added black bean soup to our orders. It was topped with some chopped red onions which I had never thought of doing but found it to be quite good. The soup came with a very tiny roll. We were given a plate of dipping oil for the bread which was very good. The oil was so good that I was disappointed that we had only each received the tiny roll. It seemed like a waste to provide the quantity of oil we received for such a small portion of bread. We both found our meals to be quite good. My wife's tenderloin was prepared as she ordered it and came with fresh cut fries. My jerk chicken was very good and came with rice and beans. Lackawanna ... Ok, this is a city known for its LACK and its Bascilica but today on my way to an afternoon business appointment I discovered a restaurant that LACK'd nothing perhaps being blessed in the shadow of Our Lady's because my Curly's lunch experience was oh so good!! In fact, in between soup and main course, I was thinking how I could justify a business lunch outside my Westside office "eating zone." My GPS accurately forecasted an arrival only minutes from the brink of Buffalo's Niagara River Westside shoreline ... I can do the trip but need to convince some business partners to join me. If you drive down Lackawanna's Ridge Road the streetscape is LACKING but Curly's parking lot is welcoming and entering this warm restaurant you forget about the ghostly scene you had just been part of. The walks showcase Lackawanna in its glory days (Yes, they had some good days in this city where steel made it strong once upon a time in a faded dream.). The restaurant staff smile genuinely welcoming smiles as they greet customers. I was led to my table for one in a wood paneled dining room. Yes, wood paneled and to me it breathed class not age ... I was feeling relaxed even before I sat down. The lunch menu is just the right size because at lunch time I don't need to be overwhelmed by a zillion options, which always makes me wonder if any menu item is special. Black bean soup was a must and I was in a Jamaican mood so the Jerk pork loin sandwich was my choice. When I said fries instead of chips my server, Ashley, smiled and said "our fries are sooooo good," and I smiled. If there is such a thing as a perfect black bean soup this was it. Diced onions, a little bit of sour cream, and great flavor and texture with each spoonful. The accompanying bread was oh so fresh with a dipping bowl that had a nice little hidden bite. As I took care of some work the quiet room with a nice blend of background music increased my plans to return. And, Ashley timed her water fill-up's with the status of my meal question perfectly. Always with that real smile. Oh my the Jerk sandwich ... The fries ... And surprise surprise a half plate of chopped fruit. The sandwich was thick with sliced pork loin plus some added items that had the juices tracing over my fingers and hand. I was one very happy mess. Oh the fries ... Ohhh the fries they were as yummy as promised. Ashley noticed the messy hands and casually left a pile of napkins next to my plate with a smile. I finished it ... So good!!! On my next over stressed work day (I get them but Curly's is so good I might make one up.) I will hop in the car aim for the Skyway while anxiously anticipating a lunch experience every hard working man or woman deserves from time to time even if you are eating solo because the wait staff will make you feel you belong! read more

Second time I've been to this establishment. First time was for dinner with friends and honestly we weren't that impressed. We felt the prices were high and the food was not anything special. The second time I went was for a banquet and the food was not really good it all. The pasta was tasteless, the roast beef was so so and they served jerk chicken which had a very odd flavor. The only thing that was very good was the broccoli and salad. I will not be returning. At the banquet the waitress did not come by and check on us at all! Six of us came in for dinner last night during "Restaurant Week" and were surprised (yeah... maybe we should have checked first) that that there was no RW Special. We perused the menu... and all found something that we liked, but were also quite surprised at the prices. $17 for a burger? Come on! This is Lackawanna, not NYC! Bread (housemade.... but surprisingly cold... like it just came out of the fridge) was brought to the table along with tasty olive oil. Strangely 5 pieces of bread for 6 of us! I ordered the Black Bean Soup (a reported specialty) and the "Caribbean Beef Pockets" (filled with curried beef and manchego cheese). The soup was fantastic.... thick and rich in flavor.... and topped with diced onions and sour cream. It was the perfect soup for a cold night! The beef pockets (two of 'em) were not bad....nicely spiced..... but they had not even a hint of cheese in them.... and the oioli that they perched upon made them a bit soggy. Others ordered potato soup and crab cakes and steak sandwiches (which came out cold!) and duck breast. The food ratings ranged from "eh"..... to "good"..... but none outstanding. The service was friendly, but sometimes lacking. It as a quiet Monday night, yet we frequently had to ask for water refills. Had a really lovely dinner at Curly's Grille! It was our first time dining at the restaurant since their recent (~2 years ago) renovation. My husband and I were very impressed with the ambiance and the food, it felt very romantic and pleasing to our eyes and bellies. We started with an order of grilled jerk wings, which came with celery, carrots and house bleu dressing. So much flavor from the seasonings and from the grill. Next we had their famous black bean soup and were basically licking the bowl, it is that good. We shared the rack of lamb with braised greens and butternut gnocchi. The lamb was cooked to (medium) perfection and the greens were nice and garlicky. The only item we did not love was the butternut gnocchi - it seemed to be missing seasonings and that butternut flavor. Overall, we left the restaurant feeling very happy and we look forward to returning! read more

Am I allowed to miss the old Curly's? Granted, I don't miss some of the previous Caribbean kitschy decor, but I am SO over the 21st century industrial furnishings that replaced it. Dark colors, hard surfaces, prints of old factories, blah, blah, blah. No fun, no funk. And on this frigid November afternoon, the metal chair backs were really, really cold. Not that I needed to sit back, but one touch and I had goosebumps that wouldn't quit. Tablecloths, cloth napkins and friendly service did little to warm up the space, which would have been fine if the food lived up to expectations. Reuben sandwiches and burgers received passing grades, but the sweet potato chunks in the harvest salad were hard, and the skin on their signature jerk chicken was far from crisp and deemed inedible. My portabella sandwich was soggy from the get-go. I'm no chef, but at least I know how to keep the bread on a portabella sandwich from getting soggy. The saving grace was the french fries - they were really good. Wish I'd asked what spices they were seasoned with. Some exotic combination that elevated that humble potato to a delicious bite. So I recently moved to Lackawanna and I've been wanting to try more restaurants in the area. Curly's is about 5 minutes from our house and I've eyed it for a while before we finally decided to dive in. If I could rate this place just on appearance, hands down, five golden sparkly stars. It's tasteful and minimalist. I love the wood and how it somehow goes perfectly with the beautiful chandeliers. This place is completely unassuming from the outside. The person who seated us was SO friendly and pleasantly chatty! He really set the tone for the rest of the evening and our server was sweet as well. I wish the food was as good as everything else. But it wasn't! I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich, which came with fries and coleslaw. My fiancé ordered the beef pockets and both came out pretty fast. My jerk sandwich was anything but that. It was bland and unappealing - no spice, no depth, no bang. It didn't even look appealing. It was messy and had HUGE chunks of mango. And perhaps I've been watching too much Masterchef Kitchen but I'm irritated when I order hand cut fries and I end up with tiny bits of fried potatoes. It's like I got what was leftover instead of actual French fries. The coleslaw wasn't good at all. Again, blaaaand. I wanted to give this place four stars. It did a lot of things right and some of their offerings were spot on. I hadn't been here since the new owners took over and to their credit a bunch of the tried and true classics were still on the menu like Jerk Chicken and black bean soup. The bar is well stocked, although the craft beer list is too heavy with corporate swill. There is better stuff made locally. The place was nicely renovated and clean. The staff was attentive and active. The real issue was the food. Some was over cooked, like the Jerk Pork Tenderloin entree. We really liked the conch fritters. Upon entry this placed gave off a very classy and comfortable vibe. You can come here casual in a pair of jeans or dressed up for a special night out. Either way, you'll fit right in. Five stars for decor and "vibe." I wasn't hungry at all but I came with my fiancé, who has been begging to try this place for a while. I tried the beef pockets, which was a lot for an appetizer and I ended up taking one home. I wasn't thrilled about the taste. It had an aftertaste that was strange and I'm not 100% sold. Planned dinner here for girls night. We made reservations for 5:30pm and we were seated quickly. Our server was amazing. One of my friends is gluten free due to medical issue and she was really amazing at accommodating her. We started with a round of the amazing fall sangria. You have to try them, they are amazing, Carmel vodka, Pino gris, cider and ginger ale - so yummy! For appetizer we shared stuffed peppers. They even brought out gluten free muffins for our friend. Their in house bread is amazing as well. We ordered a second round of drinks for dinner, more sangria, seriously order one! I had the duck it was perfectly cooked and tender. My friend had the scallops she reported they were amazing as well. Our other friend had the seafood pasta, fit was heavy on fennel for me however she loved it. I was at this restaurant four to five years ago. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. The sound level is very good. The place is exceptionally clean. It's a very nicely designed and decorated place. I also came because they also have a large gluten free menu. Today I had the black bean soup, and I had a jerk Cobb salad. The soup was spot on. Perfect level of seasoning and fat, and the beans were puréed beautifully as well. This is a nice thick variation of the black bean soup. The salad was very good as well. Nice jerk chicken served with it. Lots of bacon and blue cheese. I also had their creme brûlée which was a very delicious ending to a very nice meal. Highly recommended. read more

What would you do? Don't recommend if you want to "fine dine" somewhere. Tonight, I went to Curly's for the first time with my parents who have been going for the past few years. I had heard so many good things about it from everyone I know. I went in with my parents and we were seated right away. We sat and waiting 20 minutes for our server to greet us. Our server finally came over and took our drink orders (a diet and a lemonade). It took her about another 15 mins to bring the drinks meanwhile she had already brought wine and other mixed drinks to the surrounding tables. Finally she brought our drinks and we got to order our meals and I ordered the rack of lamb. We ate the Korean wing appetizer which was good. When the meals were brought over, I noticed after she left that my meal did not at all match the description that was on the menu. So I had to flag our server down. Once she came over, I showed her the original description of the meal and said it didn't match so she took my plate back. At this point, our server just disappeared and was gone for 20 minutes. We had no idea if they were remaking the meal or what was going on. My parents finished their meals and she finally came back with another plate. The lamb now had semi-new garnishes, yet still did not match the menu's description. I went to eat the lamb and noticed it was cold and underneath the pile of lamb chops and greens, hidden in the mashed potatoes was the lamb chop I had already taken a bite out of originally. So instead of remaking the meal, they took the meat (that was totally dried up and cold at this point) and just added greens to it (and if anything it shouldn't have taken 20 minutes to do). It was just a bad experience overall with the service and the food. I ended up returning the food and at this point didn't even eat a meal since my parents were done eating. The restaurant took my meal off and gave me a free piece of cake which I didn't even want when they asked if I wanted dessert. After this, my family will probably never return and I will never recommend this place to anyone. I was expecting a better accommodation and a much nicer manager for it being "a high end dining place". 0/5 stars. read more

Came here for a full function event and had a really nice time. The ambience is subtle and classy. Lighting and theme here will relax you after a long day. Expect to get kind of dressed up, a button down is appropriate or you may feel underdressed as people like to get fancy when they come here. Had some chicken and potatos, pasta and salad buffet style. The chicken was juicy and had a nice spice to it which I liked. Looking over the menu quickly, things seem a bit pricey but I suppose you are paying for the class this place inspires. A solid 4 stars all day but not somewhere I will be frequenting. I've been here a few times in the past 6 months. Twice for planned dinners through organizations and once for lunch with a fellow yelper. I understand its had a few different owners, but ive only been here under the most recent one. Ive also only been here since its been renovated. The "group meals" were fine. The rooms are good actually, with good setups for speakers and slides etc. No complaints there. The tables were different and both setups were quite good. I just found both meals to be "A-OK". The lunch was also fine - I learned about Saratoga Chips there actually, which was cool. The food was A-OK. I would not come back here as a destination, but if in the area, I would consider a return visit. They have plenty of parking. read more

This place really is great. Over the past two years, they have expanded and completely updated their building, including a new banquet facility and kitchen. What is amazing is that Kirk and Krista have managed to add all the new and expand while managing to maintain the original feel of the restaurant and not suffer in the quality of their food or service. Not an easy thing to accomplish. The service both in the restaurant and the banquet facility is friendly and attentive. Food quality remains quite exceptional. Favorites include: Steak Au Poivre, Jerk Pork Sandwich, Wolf Fit Fish. The appetizers are quite inviting, especially between 5 and 7 during the week when they are half price. Best appetizers include: Saratoga Chips, Arancini, and the Pizza special. Also, when they have them, the Crab Cakes (usually Mondays) and the Scallops are fantastic. It is important to note that many of the dishes are available in a GLUTEN FREE preparation. Also, I have always found them to very responsive to special dietary needs. Portion sizes, even in the Wolf Fit entrees, are quite generous...you will probably have a nice lunch for the next day. Are they perfect...no. I have been there many times and have had an occasional issue. Usually, this is easily corrected by simply informing the server of the problem. I have never had any of them not make their best effort to rectify the problem. If I had one area in which they could easily improve, it might be an expansion of their wine list. Finally, Krista and Kirk are both very community minded people who champion a number of causes and who spend a lot of time and money to make things better for others. Black bean soup sounds gross (well, to me ;) )but it's a "MUST" dish here! Walking-in: Friendly smile and greeting from the bartender and hostess as you walk-in and wonder around. Was thinking to have Pizza as an app to split with my lunch mate but it was not a personal/app size.. (I think it was 14", if not then 16") Since I've had sea bass and king salmon for two dinners in a row, I opted for the pizza on the special menu for my main. My lunch mate picked fish fry without thinking twice as soon as it caught his eyes. We shared our main dishes. --Soup: I am a big fan of black beans, well, honestly any types of beans.... but soup itself as a main ingredient sounded little scary (unless those soups with other type of beans as a part of side ingredient in the soups....). But they are known for the soup and I am a foodie that must try something new. It came with diced onions, tomatoes and a a scoop of sour cream in the middle. I don't like sour cream (forgot to opt-out at ordering) so I moved it aside for my lunch mate. OMG, it was so good. The soup lived up to the hype. It was rich in flavor and thick at my liking and perfect to dip in their fabulous house made bread. We wiped that bowl clean with the bread. --Pizza: The special pizza was sirloin, mushrooms ,goat cheese, arugula and some type of truffle oil (forgot what it was.. ) I like my pizza with cracked egg so I asked if the chef could do it at some extra charges and answer was "no problem"! (Two thumbs up here) Crust was thin and crispy, perfect amount of cheeses and oils, generous slices of sirloin, mushrooms, arugula and my sexy cracked egg was sitting in the middle of arugula piles and the yolk was ready to run down. Fabulous! --Fish fry: It was huge.. seriously super-sized haddock. I don't thick breaded and soggy/greasy deep fried foods but this place was perfect at my liking. Light but well panko breaded. Super crispy and not greasy at all.. almost looked like dried crispy but still very juicy and moist inside. Even fries came with was very crispy,light and well seasoned. I ate the half of my lunchmate's fish fry.. and he was impressed seeing me eating fried dish that well lol Beverage- They have a full bar with good selection of wines and craft beers. Since it was lunch I was going to skip it but it was hot summer Friday that I couldn't resist. We both had Southern Tier IPA. We came here on a Sunday afternoon. i ordered the jerk chicken with bean soup and french fries as sides. They charged so little for the bean soup and fries since I got an entree! The bean soup was wonderful. Tasted like it was created that day. They gave me homemade hot sauce for the soup. The fries were hand cut and pretty delicious too. Food was OK but for the prices, I expected a little more. I had never been to Curlys before but always heard good things. We chose it because my son's girlfriend is gluten free. Yes, there were a lot of gf options on the menu but overall I expected a higher quality for the price. 8oz sirloin was $49 which was supposed to come with a salad. Never offered. Bread knots were OK with oil, no butter offered. Paid half that with a salad at Roadhouse and the quality was just as good. Ordered the steak medium rare but it was more rare. Appetizers were tasty but $15 for 5 Korean wings. That's $3 per wing. Drinks were awful. $11 for a glass of Chardonnay. Same for Tully and ginger but could barely taste any ginger ale. Switched to bourbon and coke but coke had no fizz and was so sweet, I couldn't drink it. Waitress was nice and took it off the bill. She was also attentive and I left a $46 tip on a $230 bill. However, putting the price and quality together, I can't say I'll be back anytime soon. Sorry to have to post this review. read more

If you haven't been to Curly's in a couple of years, you'll be displeased to learn that the restaurant has been sold to new owners... twice. I almost begun hyperventilating when I learned that, which was when I was already seated in the restaurant and pondering which of my long-term favorite dishes I was going to order up. Fortunately, the food seems to be exactly the same recipe and prepared in the same manner as when the Van Wagner's ran the joint, and was at least very close in others (breathe a sigh of relief). The Black Bean Soup, for example, still causes my soul to tingle with jovial exuberating when I take that first spoonful (and second spoonful... and third...). However, my favorite dish, the Bleu Fish - which if it were an animal that existed naturally in the wild, would have gone extinct years ago from over harvesting or poaching - didn't seem the same to me. It seemed like it was lacking the rich, cheesy and white wine flavor it once had in it. It was still quite good, but I doubt I'd get it again. I also tried a couple of appetizers that I couldn't be more mixed on. The first was the Gnocchi Poutine, which was a terrific combination of two of a few of my favorite things ("Pulled pork and gnocchi and whiskers on kittens..."). The pulled pork shoulder melts in your mouth like tangy butter. The other appetizer was the Fried Banana Peppers, which were bland and unimaginative. It was just sliced banana peppers, battered and deep fried... What's next? Curly's will announce that deep fried potato sticks will be added to its menu? These fried banana peppers would have been acceptable at some po-dunk carnival somewhere, but not here. After all, you could deep fry pig snouts caked in gravel and dried mud and they'd be delicious, but I expect a more creative dish from an establishment like Curly's. All in all, the food and service is still terrific. The staff was attentive and hospitable. My party was even allowed to keep a homemade ice cream cake in the fridge for dessert. Too bad though... I was looking forward to having the Peanut Butter mousse Pie or the Mousse in the Bag. read more

Was in the mood to try out a new restaurant this past Friday, Ive heard good things about Curly's by the Basilica so we decided to give it a go! They have two parking lots on the side. Dan and I walked in and were greeted right away by the friendly hostess. Then we were asked if we wanted to hang our coats. So we went to the coat room and the lady there was really nice. Next we were escorted to our table.. The ambiance was comfortable but classy. The tables have black table clothes, music isn't too loud (heard some fun throw backs), and the lighting was perfect! The waitress came over a minute after we sat down to inform us about the specials. She left to pick up our waters and fresh bread thats baked right there in house! The bread came out on a black slate board: 2 slices of white bread and two slices of multigrain (my favorite) with some basil flavored olive oil dip (so tasty). Dan and I ended up dipping the bread into my homemade cream of mushroom soup! I usually stay away from the cream soups but I LOVE mushrooms and wanted to treat myself. This cream of mushroom soup had various small pieces of mushrooms, the cream base made each bite luxurious! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this soup! The waitress even asked us if we want some more bread...it was so fresh and good I said "OK!" We even had a piece left and she gave me a container to bring it home and added another piece of multigrain. ENTREES: I ordered the panko breaded fish fry. This had to be THE BEST fish fry I've had in a while (very large too). The panko breadcrumbs were a perfect crunchy touch and it wasn't too greasy, which is a plus. For the sides you received the veg of the day: broccoli and potato of the day: potato au gratin. The broccoli was FRESH and the potato au gratin was very tasty. Dan ordered the jerk flavored pork loin sandwich with slaw and fries. The sandwich was delicious (I tried some), the slaw was a hit because it had this tangy flavor (not full of fatty mayo). Dan enjoyed the fries too! Service was A+ too! everyone was welcoming! Curly's also offers a banquet room for events. The nice lady at the coat check was happy to show us. It was very sharp looking (some what new). Prices were reasonable, ambiance was comfortable & classy (you can dress casual), FOOD fresh and out of this world! I want to try the jerk chicken wings next. I guess on Thursday's Curly's has a special on their jerk wings and Caribbean music!! Ate here on a Saturday night on a last minute reservation for 7:15pm. Sat more towards 8pm but it was worth it! APPETIZER. We had the Jerk chicken wings which were delicious! Also the cream of mushroom soup which was tasty but a bit heavy in combo with the wings. DRINK had the red sangria which I wasn't too excited about. It was strong but didn't have all the flavors I usually enjoy. Hard to explain I know but it just wasn't amazing MAIN COURSE had the Duck and it was delicious! The sweet potatoes were a nice accompaniment, too. Could only finish half the meal since I was so full on appetizers, so I took the rest home and decided to freeze it. Another delicious meal at a "go to" place of mine. Food is always good and never a disappointment. I had stir fry in a skillet - chicken, veggies, sweet potatoes ... yum yum gimme some. Wife had butternut squash Ravioli - it was very good - kids had burgers and lobster / pasta / vodka sauce ... all very good. We all had desserts which are a Curly's staple ... Every Good Friday my family spends the day going to Buffalo's Broadway Market, Botanical Garden and Basilica. We end by dinning at Curly's. After being away at college for 4 years out of state I was a little saddened that it was sold a couple of times to new owners. However, that did not stop our family. We made a reservation and started with the house Sangrias! The lightening was perfect and service was friendly and helpful! We started our night with the fried calamari and black bean soup. The calamari were crispy, cooked perfectly and not greasy at all. Additionally, came with a couple of fried zucchini chips and a great dipping sauce. I would definitely order again. After each member had a cup of the FAMOUS black bean soup. It was as great as I remembered! Served with a dollop of sour cream and onion, I was so upset when I finished it. Could definitely just order a huge bowel of this. (Sometimes my family just goes for Curly's black bean soup, and order some to go). For our entrees I ordered the jerk fish, but to be honest I was so stuffed that I could not enjoy the fish served with broccoli and potato gratin. But still very delicious! My family ordered the seafood linguini and next time- I will HAVE TO ORDER THIS! it was amazing!!!!! As I stated before, I was way too stuffed that I couldn't even listen to the desserts but have to come back. Additionally, it was family friendly. I had the Korean fried wings and they were amazing! Do not miss this app the start your meal. I think it was 6 huge wings, very crispy, and not too spicy. The wings were the best part of my meal. The salad was just ok but my wife had a wedge salad she liked. I had the chicken (just ok but it was moist) and my wife had the sea bass which was good. The wings are easily shared among 2 people as an app or could make a great dinner for 1. Don't miss out.... order the wings! read more

Always good food and service. If you've never been there get the jerk chicken or pork sandwich. They come with great seasoned fries, jerkonaise, and slaw. Cocktails are great too. I had a couple of Steel City Mashes that we're awesome. Kinda like a bourbon mojito with blueberries. I had the sea bass special this time, which was delicious. Casual atmosphere. Jeans and a decent shirt is acceptable. One guy was wearing a Sabres jersey. Some people dress up a little nicer. I admittedly have not been here for a true meal but their happy hour is hard to beat. Half off apps (excluding the crab cakes,) and draft and wine deals. The apps are excellent and easy to share, although some you do get more bang for your buck. The russet potato chips is a HUGE portion while the meat pockets are two in an order. It's kind of expected though when comparing potatoes and meats. I tried the stuffed peppers, the chips, and the calamari (which was another generously portioned dish.) Everything was delicious. The bar staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered a Jamaican jerk pork sandwich to go for my boyfriend who couldn't stop raving about it. read more

I flew home this weekend and went to Curley's with my girlfriend. The previous visits were good, but I was not blown away by the food. This time, though, the food really stood out. We started with an order of the Reuben Fritters. Light and tasty. May not be for everyone, but I really enjoyed them. For dinner, I ordered the Cajun Sea Bass special. It came with a small salad, which was very good and just the right starter size. The sea bass portion was a good size and very tasty. It came on a bed of calamari and two other items which, unfortunately, I can't remember at this time. In short, though, the entire dish was fantastic. We topped the dinner off with a Sugar Cookie Cheesecake slice. Fantastic. Nice, light, mellow cheesecake, just like I like it. Unfortunately, the bartender informed us that the Sugar Cookie Cheesecake was a special and "seasonal". If you visit Curley's and you like cheese cake and this is offered, get it. My friends & I went there for my birthday celebration dinner. I love how they changed the place. It was nice inside. We had reservations at 6:00 and they seated us as soon as we walked in. Our server was great, very pleasant. Explained certain dishes and also told us we can substitute for side dishes. I ordered a panko crusted fish fry. It was delicious. There coleslaw was amazing, it wasn't really creamy like most coleslaw are it was just right. Prices where just right and the service was great. I would go again. read more

Have been there many time when it was ran by previous owner. Recently stopped in for Happy Hour. Great deal on drinks and most apps are 1/2 price. Good beer choices for $3. Shared the clams casino, grilled jerk wings, and beef on week Mac & cheese. Would recommend all. Stopped by again yesterday & had the clams casino & beef on week apps again then also tried Caribbean beef pockets. Will be returning soon. read more

I have not been to Curly's in too long, which I am ashamed to admit being from the South-towns! Curly is very versatile. From the decor to the menu. I love the candle lit / exposed wood/brick . One of the most Gluten Free menu's in the area, very impressive options. Great wine and drink selection. Started with the crab cakes; lots of crab meat, good size and decent flavor. The beef pockets were delicious. Beef Barley soup was flavorful with a hint of smokiness which I appreciated. We split the pappardelle special. A ton of seafood, andouille sausage. Overall delicious. Unfortunately, they did not have any utensils to crack open the lobster claw ! My boyfriend cut himself trying to get the meat out, oops! We did not have room for dessert , but the made in house from scratch menu looked super good, and I will not make that mistake next time. Lots of different things on the menu, and there was so many things that I am excited to come back and try! read more
