I decided to stop on the way home from work on one of our recent very cold days, we had never tried…read moreDave's and I was intrigued by the hot chicken concept. The three stars is for the food. The chicken itself is outstanding, and the French fries are also really good. I found the service a bit lacking, thus only three stars. It was not crowded. I walked in and there was one group eating and one person waiting for food. The person who took my order was friendly and helpful. However, I placed my order, paid and was given my receipt and a "buzzer" and I waited. The thing that irked me is that I saw my order come from the kitchen, handed from a cook to an employee on the other side of the window, who kept talking and talking and talking to the cook while my food was sitting there. All she needed to do was put the order into the plastic bag, but for about five minutes talked to the cook and kept her back to the customer area, as did the other employees. I saw other employees walking around, there were more staff than customers, but I don't know what they were accomplishing. But my order still waited as they all talked. She eventually very, very slowly added the box with my food to the plastic bag and finally I received my order. Why did it take so long to put my order into a plastic bag and give it to me? The "sliders" are actually a full size sandwich, don't let the name fool you. It was delicious, if slightly cool from sitting at the counter. However, I don't like to patronize a business that has no real management on premises making sure that the staff is engaged. This never happens at Chick Fil-A. I will give them another chance because the food was so good.

My wife had never tried Dave's before so we were running errands and decided to stop in. We ordered it for pick up because of the snow storm and the amount of snow in the parking lot was our sign to take it home. We walked in and this location is huge. It is a really nice location inside and I like how they have a tv screen that tracks your order for you so you know when it's ready. So cool. Our order was being packed up as I walked in so perfect timing. The food itself was great! I ended up going with one medium and one hot. There is definitely a jump up in spiciness between the two levels and they are very flavorful with the spice, not just a blind heat. These sliders are HUGE. They really fill you up and the fries are perfect. Love the seasoning and the crinkle cut. We will definitely be back for more and this is a great place when you're looking for that hot chicken fix.

I'm the Gm here at Five Guys in Hamburg, reaching out regarding the complaint you left online. I'm so sorry they got your order wrong. I can re-make the order for you or I can mail out 2 $10 comp cards. Just let me know which one you prefer or if there is a different solution I can provide for you. My reply: Thank you-the 2 $10 comp cards would be sufficient. I appreciate the prompt response; we have never had an issue at your establishment before so I know this was just an unfortunate mistake. I left my address for the manager. This was the last time I heard anything from management--no further response, no comp cards, nothing. I sent a follow-up email about 2 weeks later: Hello, I reached out over two weeks ago to your email apologizing for my wrong order and offering to send me 2 $10 comp cards to which I accepted. I have not received anything as of yet; just curious as to whether or not those will be sent or if some other compensation will occur. Thank you, No response from management to that e-mail as well. To be disappointed would be an understatement; basic customer service skills by restaurants to fix mistakes that THEY MADE appear to be a thing of the past. While I would still appreciate any kind of communication from management, I will not be holding out hope as they clearly do not value their patrons.

I don't take stars off for slow moving lines or abrasive service. If I did, then I would. But…read moreplaces like this are an institution and there aren't enough of them left. The future looks like Chipotle clones and Cava copies. If you like that future, have fun there. I won't be joining you. It's a good thing the name isn't written backwards otherwise you'd be in Det's. And then there would be Det collectors and you know how mean those guys can be. What to get: Polish! Polish! Polish! I'm not talking about your mani, but your dog! No not that dog, I mean the hot dog you order here! What else: Footlong dog, and I'm not talking about your man, you wish. Anything else: Yes. (shakes like a piece of chocolate). What was that? It's a chocolate shake! The service isn't always great but that can be said about every Ted's. It just depends which one of the 74 teenagers working at the place, that you get serving you. It's quint-essential Buffalo. Not that it's essential to have quints in Buffalo. Twins or triplets will do. Too expensive. But you must visit Ted's at least once to see what you think. Personally we just have cats, but we practice making babies constantly. They're a wonderful place. Their sausages are phenomenal, especially the Polish, the Footlong is great too. You absolutely must try the Polish, it shoots hot juice into my mouth even more expertly than any man I've ever met. It's just so damn delicious. Give it a try and see what I mean. They don't take phone orders (they should). Their Italian sausage is excellent, their burgers are nice, their footlongs and regular dogs are better, and their Polish is the piece-de-resistance, whatever that means. Perhaps you can use it to resist the fascists of new America, they're sadly on Yelp too. I can name them. For a small fee. It's good. Very good. And their chocolate milkshakes (with malt added) are muy excelente, if a little smallente. But also not as expensive as some shakes in the area and every bit as tasty. Ted's always disappoints me price wise. It looks cheap but next thing you know it's more than $10 for more than a snack. But it's excellent so I put up with it. Not a satisfying meal, but a wonderful snack. Which is why Akon did that song "Snack That" which was about Ted's. The Loganberry is also awesome, by the way. Just about twice as sweet as it should be. Made with real sugar. I recommend doing it 1 part water, 1 part Loganberry. Yours Sincerely, Ted Theodore Loganberry

I went in tonight to pick up an order and saw Austin behind the counter. He came over and greeted me and ask, You're back again? As I was there earlier in the past week. It was past 9pm and probably one of the last pickup orders for the evening. I responded, "Yeah, my brother had passed away and his kids are coming in and we're hungry, let me add a 2 liter to that order". As I grabbed the 2 liter and placed it on the counter. He looked up and said. Thank you, I'm sorry for your loss and said my order was on him. I'm almost 60 years old and it took all of my inner strength not to break down right there.I thanked him with a lump in my throat and walked out into the rain and to my Truck. While it was raining outside it was also raining tears down my face on my way home. The roast beef was tender, juicy, and served up on a large fluffy roll with a crunchy salt and caraway top. Very delicious! This is a full size sandwich! Served with five very big meaty chicken wings. I love my hot, and it comes with a large serving of blue cheese. My little kid ordered fingers and fries with a beverage. Again, these are big chicken cutlets, with a huge plate of french fries. So generous with the portions, that he needed to take half of it home in a box. Our other little kid ordered the one slice and five chicken wings for just under 13 bucks. Satisfying, but he did have to take most of it home in a takeout box. Imperial pizza is all decked out for Halloween, the spooks and ghouls are looking over your shoulders. Very entertaining for the kids. Our server was fast and efficient, very kind and anticipating all our needs. There's always a fair number of people at the bar even on a Monday afternoon. Imperial has that sports bar vibe going on.
