So... I've been to curfew before for dinner but never for brunch. I enjoyed the ambiance especially the ability to be able choose between a covered patio and the inside. The ambiance was lovely & the inside was modern. The server he was a little slow as far as movement. I ordered the French toast it was called walnut spiced. It wasn't any walnuts or nothing related to walnuts on the French toast but it did have strawberries and blueberries. I was disappointed that it didn't come with anything except the French toast so you have to order eggs, potatoes and sausage separately. The home fries were phenomenal absolutely incredible. Also The chicken sandwich had a delicious aioli that was a lovely touch to the sandwich as well. Overall it was a beautiful experience would love to visit again. read more

I have to start this by stating we were frequent patrons of this eatery. We very much enjoyed every time we came in the past, except the last time. It was in March, and we came in for a quick bite to eat and a drink. It was more crowded than usual, so we couldn't get our fav booth, so we sat and ordered at a table. After ordering our food, the wait was lengthy for my husbands order. I ordered the burger for the first time, and it was told to me their was no mayo, but outside of that, the burger was great. My husband ordered the chicken pasta dish, and when it arrived, it was in a small bowl, with no garnish, bread, or anything. It was an entree for about $30, and the portion size was minuscule. He asked if that was the regular size of the dish and told her it wasn't what was expected. Now let me reference by saying this man never complains at a restaurant! So you must imagine it was tiny, so he asked to just return it. The waitress says I have to get the manager. Here's where it gets very wrong. The manager comes and says that once the dish touches the table, we don't take anything back. After that comment, I had to then say a few words regarding how often we came, and then she removed the dish and took it off the ticket. I don't really have to say why this was the incorrect way to handle any customer. Rather, they are permanent fixtures or just passing through. Their is no excuse, and frankly, an unwise business move to eliminate a customer who has spent plenty of money in this establish and who has influenced many others to visit. I really want to like Curfew but when I say slow service...s.l.o.w!!! The QR code isn't up to date, it took 4 drink orders and 27 mins to find a drink they actually still had that's listed on the menu. I finally ended up settling on a nice Pinot which they sold to us at the happy hour price of $6 because it's two bottles from no longer being on the menu as well. I think the staffing issue has really hurt the restaurant but I guess that's every where. Gotta pay more if you want to get good help. The entire staff was pleasant and everyone gave their best effort. Maybe live music on Friday nights would help with the ambiance. read more

So I visited this place last night. The hostess was super nice but then it went down hill. Sat at the bar because I'm a single person. Was waited on quickly but when I started to ask questions about the menu (like what's ur favorite) cause I like to hear from the staff what they like, he got uninterested and his face was obviously bored with my questions. I guess he didn't want me to ask any questions. There wasn't many in the bar. I ordered the bolgenese( can't spell it). It wasn't good. I ate half of it. The worst part was that he added an automatic gratuity. That pissed me off. I'm an excellent tipper (I work in an industry that tips as well). I tip if ur nice to a single female. I felt outcasted and will NOT be going back or will I ever recommend this place. The added gratuity for one person was ridiculous. Yeah. Twice time around wasn't any better. I avoided sharing my initial experience since they're a new establishment and it was my friends bday dinner. However, we all had to wait over an hour to be seated despite having a reservation. I thought the purpose of the reservation was to hold a space for all parties regardless of presence. Anyways, once seated we waited longer to get water. Once again the appearance is classy and a vibe but that's all. Individuals who ordered the wings were missing some and said the chicken was bland. The pizzas are delicious just be prepared to wait and one of the guests said it reminded them of Tombstone. The service and food is not worth the cost. What a great place! Little different being in a hotel lobby but great atmosphere. The bartender was absolutely outstanding and although she was waiting on the whole place was super friendly and on the spot. I started with the deviled eggs which were outstanding and was happy I didn't have to share being I was alone. I had read on Yelp the octopus was the dish to get...and let me tell you it was! Definitely a Spanish feel and taste. A bit of spice but perfectly balanced with the tart celery and roasted potatoes. The chili oil and glaze were a perfect compliment. Lastly the octopus was a great portion and cooked perfectly. One of the best dishes I have had in a long time. Top notch place and worth the visit. The ambiance and atmosphere looks modern and artsy. They have a cool bar that has one side indoors and the other side outdoors. The French Toast and chicken tenders were really good. The catfish sandwich left a lot to be desired. The catfish itself wasn't seasoned enough and I could taste the dirty grease. Asked for extra aioli to mask that taste. The fly high cocktail tasted as if it was loaded with ginger. It didn't taste bad, but the ginger or whatever it was that gave it that abrasive taste was enough for us to send it back. Some friends I was there with tried other drinks that they said were good so I'd probably give this place a second try. As a professional in this industry, I was surprised when they didn't meet my expectations. There was an obvious difference in management, one seemed overzealous and chatty while the other was nonchalant as he shrugged his shoulders at another miss at our entree. Now I will say our redfish was divine, but the steak? A simple request for medium went from well to mooing. The server was kind, timid and seemed somewhat new. He did his best to rectify and was highly apologetic, so we can appreciate that. It's a loungy feel to the place with beautiful decor and an affordable drink menu. Bad news: food was mediocre for the price. I had an extremely dry Boston butt sandwich and my wife had the New York strip steak. Visited on Sunday late morning and it wasn't busy at all. Took quite some time for the server to saunter over and then once the food arrived, we didn't have utensils. Server never came back or even near the table. After waiting 5 or so minutes, we asked the hostess, who was not busy at the time for utensils and even tho she said yes, proceeded to ignore us. So after waiting another 5 min or so, I asked for the manager to come over. So we finally received utensils, but the shrimp and grits was very runny and the ratio to grits was off. Took my friend here as a fun way to try new restaurants in downtown. I can only say the drinks are worth it. Neither of us particularly enjoyed the food and for the price- it should have been better. The best thing on our plates were the fries. My baby ate more than we did. The drinks are very good and the decor/vibes are amazing. Would recommend more for taking photos than eating. This place was really good when it first opened. I went last week and it's really gone downhill food wise. The menu was inaccurate and no longer serving some of the items on the menu. The plate the deviled eggs were served on was greasy like it had just been wiped off and reused rather than washed. The deviled egg mixture was either tart in a spoiled way or had a lot of vinegar mixed into it which was odd for deviled eggs. The drinks were okay. Ok so look it.. we got into Memphis a little late and we really wanted to try this place out.. the atmosphere was amazing here...everyone was very attentive as soon as we walked to the hostess stand.. they had a beautiful lounge spot that I can't wait to go back and just hangout in. But guys I'm not a fan of everyone Brussels sprouts because they're not always cooked right but this place had me wanting more and I literally looked over to my husband( who is the chief in the family) and said " bae you got to learn how to cook them like this"..he loves sprouts and was like yep these are amazing... even the asparagus on his plate was cook perfect( not over cooked or undercooked). But the spices and seasoning that was used was wowzzers!!( when you look at it on the menu you like ummm I'm not sure if that go together) trust me on this match made!!!
