I have stopped by this place a few times, but the parking has always been full so I'd drive away. Finally, after multiple tries, the parking lot had plenty of space. The staff is super friendly from the moment I stepped inside the door till the second I left. I was yearning for a burger, so I got the Phoenix and it tasted really good. The only issue was that it was cooked well done and I asked for medium. Not a huge deal. Also, got the Phoenix wings, which were nice and spicy. The only real negative thing I have is the tables were really close together and were very cafeteria style. The guy next to us kept snorting snot and swallowing so that was our cue to leave. I will start off this would have been a 5 star review. This was our first time here. The food and drinks were so good. The wait staff we had was quick even with the Bama VS TN game. Inside was clean. HOWEVER the female owner was very hostile. We asked for a drink menu and was given two by two different staff members. None of the two staff members stated the prices were not accurate in the menu. Some people at the table ordered margaritas based off the price in the menu. The shock that was had when one of the tabs was an additional 48$ for 4 drinks when the menu stated they were 5.50 each for a regular or 7.50 for a large. When it was brought to the manager's attention, she went to the owner. My husband and I came here after my son's baseball game to get a quick bite which turned into a 2 hour long drawn out ordeal because of the terrible service. My 5 year old was falling asleep at the table after we waited an hour to get our food and another 45 to get our bill. Usually good wait staff can see it was clearly time to go home but no one noticed or came by to offer our check. The waitress was friendly when she did come but never apologized for taking so long. I don't think they even realize how long they take? The spinach dip was straight up gross. Tasted like sour cream with spinach and it was warm not hot. I like spinach dip to have a nice crispy top and a creamy inside with a good ratio of cheese, spinach, artichoke etc. this dip was gross, I couldn't finish it. Decided to try this place for my daughter's 17th Birthday. What a joke! We went last night and it was horrible. We had reservations with Devin and he had to leave for an emergency and didn't tell the high school girls at the front we had a reservation at 7pm, so of course we had to wait 35 minutes. Sat us next to a big window where it was cold. Took an hr and a half to get our food. Our waitress never brought our drink refills after asking her many times and finally at the end we got them. Took Side of spinach and sautéed mushrooms were way too salty. My Black and Blue Salad meat was spicy even though it wasn't blackened. The chicken bacon ranch flatbread was not good at all. Supposed to be a nice restaurant from what I heard. All women and girls were wearing the Brendalay shirt or sweatshirt and leggings. No tablecloths on tables. Atmosphere was not nice at all. We will not be back. If looking for a nice restaurant, drive to Germantown and go to Stoney River. They won't loose your reservation and staff is amazing and the food is excellent. read more

Okay so first let me start by saying I failed miserably at taking photos of the restaurant or of our meal. DOH! The only photo I got was of the grizzlies game they were playing at the bar which I was so happy to be watching!! Now, for the food + experience... I came here with my sister and we both had the salmon - she had the salad and I had the salmon with 2 sides (rice and veggies). We both felt the salmon was perfect! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and so much flavor. The rice was just fine alongside the salmon but on its own it was bland and pretty dry. The veggies were good but nothing to write home about. Now the bananas foster we had?! Oh snap. So so so so good. The caramelized waffle was SO freaking good. I'd go back just for that. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful but we never received refills and we were there for at least an hour so that was frustrating. We sat near the bar and the atmosphere was excellent and like I said we got to see the Grizzlies game which was fantastic and the perfect place for it. But......... We loved this place, but we went there today April 26 2025 around 430 PM and there was a lady with a dog in the rear of the restaurant. No big deal right...... why was the lady letting her dog drink water from the restaurant glass? the server came by and stuck the refill pitcher back in the glass to refill it. If you're looking for good food, okay drinks, and a fresh side of lawsuit, you've come to the right place. There were 5 adults and one child expecting an amazing experience at this establishment. One adult asked for a drink menu. She received two of them (same menu) from two different waitresses. We all ordered our drinks and were not asked what size or told anything about prices. The waitress we had just wrote down what we told her. We received our drinks and food maybe about 30 mins after ordering. Everything was delicious and we asked for our checks. The checks were split based on who came with who. Upon reviewing our checks we noticed the drinks were priced incorrectly. We brought this to our waitress's attention and she proceeded to tell us that the prices in the menus are outdated and that they are in the process of getting new ones. I informed her that this was an error on their part and had nothing to do with us since we were never told about the change in pricing. She left the table and came back with the manager who tried to tell us the same thing. I told her what I told the waitress and they both walked away. Several minutes later the owner of the restaurant came over and spoke aggressively saying that the prices are what they are and that the menus should not have been given to us. I tried to state my concern regarding this but she cut me off saying there was nothing they can do. I told her she needs to stop handing those menus to customers since it's a form of false advertising. She said ok and left our table. This restaurant has workers who will treat you in a condescending manner. The staff are high schoolers who have no respect for disgruntled customers and instead, go in the corner and laugh about it with their coworkers. I have never been treated with such disrespect. The sad part is that it's not that no one could afford it, it's the principle and the respect of the matter. The waitress we had even lied to her bosses saying she told us the prices when nothing was ever said. We are honest and good people and feel like this place will rob you and not even blink. Please train your staff better before you get hit with a lawsuit. And the owner needs anger management courses along with professional customer service training. read more

Rather large restaurant in small town Arlington. The restaurant has quite a bit of seating with two rooms inside and a large outdoor patio and a large bar area. My husband and I both got the special for the night which was a steak topped with crawfish Julie. I had the filet which had a really good spicy flavor due to the crawfish Julie. I loved the flavors, but the steak wasn't the most tender filet that I have ever had. The sweet potato fries were really good and the Mac n cheese was good, but definitely not worth the up charge as it tastes more like something you would make at home and not of the gourmet variety. My husband ordered the ribeye and he said that his steak had quite a bit of gristle. He really liked the sautéed mushrooms and said the Italian spinach was ok. The service was fine, nothing stellar, but nothing to complain about. She kept our drinks refilled which is a plus in our book. Overall the flavor of the crawfish Julie was excellent, but the cut of steaks could have been better. If you are in the Arlington area, you should give them a try. read more

This is my 3rd or 4th time there. I like the location and I keep giving it a try but they never can get it right. The menu is all over the place and the food is subpar. The salads are just lettuce, croutons, and dressing. Nothing else. The wings are always cooked until hard and dry. The shrimp has always been overcooked and rubbery. I want to try more entree items but I'm afraid it will be a waste of money. The place looks nice but doesn't make any sense. The front of the restaurant looks like a displaced hotel lobby that's kept far from the action and the rest of the restaurant is just confusing. It's chopped up into odd sections that don't flow and are just weird. There's a great looking spiral staircase that leads up to some mess of a clothing store. If you're going to open a restaurant, just be a restaurant. The best thing though is the service. Although the kitchen in slooooow, the servers always do a great job. They're kind. They're smart. Found this gem online. Hungry and heading down I-40 coming back from Nashville. My bf ordered the Brendalay burger. I had a bite...or two. Lol! It was spectacular and accompanied by a huge pile of their home fries seasoned with their signature spices. I ordered the dry wings dusted with their spicy seasoning. Delish!! Don't leave without dessert. Highly recommend the bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream. The beautiful interior and classy decor is pleasing to the eye. I'll preface this like I have done with others. I quite often compare good food to that of which I prepare. Tonight my wife and I were lucky enough to dine at this wonderful restaurant. There are so many great things to say and only a few negatives. As you can see by my rating of 5 stars, the good far outweighs the bad. We arrived early before the crowd and the restaurant was fairly empty. I was rather disappointed in our initial reception so I started with a bit of a negative attitude. The reception consisted of three young ladies and not a single smile among them. To me, an initial greeting quite often sets the tone, hence the negative attitude on my part. We truly enjoyed the decor and started feeling more relaxed as we were led to our table. The only negative I can give on the decor is the chairs. They are extremely uncomfortable and for someone who has back issues, they are painful. When our waiter Dalton arrived, we then received the greeting we expected at the door. I'll hit this part right now, Dalton is an outstanding server and a genuinely good person. We will be asking for him on each of what I predict will be many returns. For the owner of this restaurant, I think he deserves special recognition. Dalton, thank you for a wonderful dining experience. Now, to the all important food ratings. (Keep in mind, my rating is 5 stars, so the critical part is mostly for the owner and to let diners know what to expect) We started with the spinach dip. An extremely generous portion of a very good dip with perfectly fried corn chips. My wife and I would have liked a bit more garlic in the dip and more pepper (maybe even red pepper flakes) but this was a very good dip and enough for 6-8 people as an appetizer. We both had a side salad with our meals, and I will say, this generously portioned side salad was the perfect starter. Plenty of tomatoes, cucumber, onion and almost too many croutons. I had the jalapeño ranch dressing and will never order a different one, it was outstanding. My wife had the blue cheese dressing and I will say it's the best restaurant blue cheese we have had in a long time. It actually rivals my wife's homemade blue cheese which in my opinion is the best in the world. On to the main dish and sides. I'll start with my wife's. She ordered the mahi-mahi blackened and Italian spinach as the other side. The blackened seasoning was very nice and the sauce served with was a very nice complement to the seasoning. However, the fish was way over cooked for her. I suggest ordering it medium and see what happens. The spinach was outstanding and one of the best I have tasted. I had the Redneck Surf and Turf, a 14oz ribeye with bbq shrimp. The shrimp were cooked to absolutely perfection. Most places tend to overcook shrimp, at least a little bit, these were cooked perfect. The one flaw with the shrimp, way too much paprika (at least to my taste). I love spice and I love heat and I love chili powders, but paprika has a taste I'm not too fond of. That being said, I ate them all. My steak, wow. Cooked to the absolute perfect medium rare and seasoned to perfection. Beautiful taste and texture. I have visited this restaurant a couple of times and each experience has been horrible. The servers were more caught up in gossip/ socializing with one another than the importance of serving us. The food was on the same level as the service; dry, room temp., and inedible. The atmosphere of Brendalay Grill is like the interior of a car shop. Very depressing. Perhaps the original owners sold the restaurant with the name due to the great reputation they had. We've been twice in the last four weeks and food and service were both mediocre. The first time was with a group so, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. This time there were three of us. We arrived before 6:30 and finally received food at 8:10. While the waitress was very nice, she only checked on us once between bringing out drinks and the time the food arrived at our table. I had the large ribeye. Perfect amount of fat. Very tender and juicy. I ordered medium and that's what I got. They cooked it exactly how I wanted it. The Italian spinach was really incredible and they gave me so much I took most of it home, partly because I wanted to finish my steak while I was there. We were with a large party and had cheese sticks, wings, cheese and sausage plate, cheese dip and salsa. I really liked the cheese dip. Salsa was cold which I don't like, but that's the only criticism I could think of. Well, it's very loud and the parking is tight. Also, handicapped parking is way off to the side and you have to access a ramp to enter or exit the building. The problem with that is when cars are pulled up beyond the exit of the concrete ramp, it would literally trap a wheelchair from leaving. Poor designing on that. What really got my attention was the 21 and older section upstairs. Definitely an adult atmosphere where you can unwind, relax and eat some amazing food. Let's start with the bar. They have the best selection of draft beer on tap in West Tennessee period. Big screen televisions everywhere. They also have the best bourbon selection in West Tennessee top shelf bourbon also. My drink of choice for the night was an old fashioned that was made to perfection and to top it off Travis made sure it was smoked just how I like it. Amy was my server for the evening. Such a sweet young lady that made some fantastic recommendation know the menu like the back of her hand. I had smoked salmon, mixed vegetables and a loaded baked potato that was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. My daughter had pasta that she truly enjoyed. She's a teenager and a very picky eater, but her plate was clean. If you're looking for a place to have a good time, enjoy some good food and good conversation this is where you want to come. Have family who live nearby, and we visited recently for Sunday brunch for a party of seven. We did not make a reservation in advance, not realizing until that morning how large a group was going to be. We arrived around 1145 and were told the wait would be 20 minutes, in reality the wait was about an hour and 10 minutes. It seemed they really filled up right when they opened, and everyone was in the mood to sit and talk. Our server was quite accommodating. When she realized how long we had waited and we shared that we were all attending a baby shower about an hour later, she placed our food order first to get the kitchen rolling on that, then came back and took drink orders. Things arrived quickly, and we made the shower just in time. I had an omelette, believe they called it a club, where I was anticipating diced up turkey and ham folded into a melty omelette. In reality, I received folded eggs with rather large slices of sandwich meat in between. There was some cheese, but not really enough, and not really melted enough. Entree was supposed to also come with a biscuit that was missing, but I hadn't planned on eating it anyway so I didn't mention to the server. Disappointing overall, but now I know. Husband ordered waffles which were good, but did not arrive warm enough for butter to melt, hate it when that happens. We saw other tables orders that included French toast which looked really good, will try that next time. One in our party had an entrée that included a biscuit topped with cheese and gravy, don't remember what it was called, but he reported it was really tasty. In this timely little hamlet, there are not a lot of restaurant options overall, and even fewer that do brunch. We will be back, we'll just make reservations for sure if were anywhere near this large, and we'll try different options. read more
