They had the Grizzlies game on which I loved!
    Ali D.

Okay so first let me start by saying I failed miserably at taking photos of the restaurant or of our meal. DOH! The only photo I got was of the grizzlies game they were playing at the bar which I was so happy to be watching!! Now, for the food + experience... I came here with my sister and we both had the salmon - she had the salad and I had the salmon with 2 sides (rice and veggies). We both felt the salmon was perfect! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and so much flavor. The rice was just fine alongside the salmon but on its own it was bland and pretty dry. The veggies were good but nothing to write home about. Now the bananas foster we had?! Oh snap. So so so so good. The caramelized waffle was SO freaking good. I'd go back just for that. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful but we never received refills and we were there for at least an hour so that was frustrating. We sat near the bar and the atmosphere was excellent and like I said we got to see the Grizzlies game which was fantastic and the perfect place for it. Also, I have to say the music that was playing was so complimentary to the overall aesthetic. Had a great time and would love to come back!

If you're looking for good food, okay drinks, and a fresh side of lawsuit, you've come to the right place. There were 5 adults and one child expecting an amazing experience at this establishment. One adult asked for a drink menu. She received two of them (same menu) from two different waitresses. We all ordered our drinks and were not asked what size or told anything about prices. The waitress we had just wrote down what we told her. We received our drinks and food maybe about 30 mins after ordering. Everything was delicious and we asked for our checks. The checks were split based on who came with who. Upon reviewing our checks we noticed the drinks were priced incorrectly. We brought this to our waitress's attention and she proceeded to tell us that the prices in the menus are outdated and that they are in the process of getting new ones. I informed her that this was an error on their part and had nothing to do with us since we were never told about the change in pricing. She left the table and came back with the manager who tried to tell us the same thing. I told her what I told the waitress and they both walked away. Several minutes later the owner of the restaurant came over and spoke aggressively saying that the prices are what they are and that the menus should not have been given to us. I tried to state my concern regarding this but she cut me off saying there was nothing they can do. I told her she needs to stop handing those menus to customers since it's a form of false advertising. She said ok and left our table. This restaurant has workers who will treat you in a condescending manner. The staff are high schoolers who have no respect for disgruntled customers and instead, go in the corner and laugh about it with their coworkers. I have never been treated with such disrespect. The sad part is that it's not that no one could afford it, it's the principle and the respect of the matter. The waitress we had even lied to her bosses saying she told us the prices when nothing was ever said. We are honest and good people and feel like this place will rob you and not even blink. Please train your staff better before you get hit with a lawsuit. And the owner needs anger management courses along with professional customer service training.

Rather large restaurant in small town Arlington. The restaurant has quite a bit of seating with two rooms inside and a large outdoor patio and a large bar area. My husband and I both got the special for the night which was a steak topped with crawfish Julie. I had the filet which had a really good spicy flavor due to the crawfish Julie. I loved the flavors, but the steak wasn't the most tender filet that I have ever had. The sweet potato fries were really good and the Mac n cheese was good, but definitely not worth the up charge as it tastes more like something you would make at home and not of the gourmet variety. My husband ordered the ribeye and he said that his steak had quite a bit of gristle. He really liked the sautéed mushrooms and said the Italian spinach was ok. The service was fine, nothing stellar, but nothing to complain about. She kept our drinks refilled which is a plus in our book. Overall the flavor of the crawfish Julie was excellent, but the cut of steaks could have been better. If you are in the Arlington area, you should give them a try.

I had the veggie plate with butter beans (they were a bit sweet and limas, not true butter beans), fried squash (the slice it long ways and hand batter), spinach mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs (delicious, no notes). I tried both hush puppies and a roll. Personally, the hush puppies weren't my favorite, but the roll was buttery goodness:). Most importantly, I asked our server at the beginning if they still had chocolate cobbler and if they were running low to go ahead and bring it out. At first they had plenty, but a few minutes later cobbler was in front of me because she noticed it was running low. So dessert first! Don't mind if I do:) it was warm, gooey, and delicious. Others in my group had the chicken fried steak, and chicken tenders. Everyone was very happy with their meals! Service was great, though the kitchen was a little slow. It took about 30 mins to get our meals. Fun, old timey atmosphere - great service - and delicious home cooking. Will definitely be back.

As soon as you're seated, you'll have a tempting signboard presented at your table with every southern classic you can imagine. With entrees like fried chicken and catfish, endless sides like turnip greens, white beans, and just about anything you can imagine fried, and every kind of southern pie, it's all there. The catfish is magnificent, with that wonderfully gritty cornmeal batter surrounding flaky, tender fish. The complimentary roll is also delicious! And the servers are very nice here! But there are some downsides. The fried okra, my favorite southern side dish, is actually soft and soggy. No self respecting southerner would ever make soggy fried okra. It's about the worst I ever had. And the onion rings, which are hard to mess up, were burnt black and lacked flavor. They were inedible. The cashier is rude and doesn't have time for "thank you" or small talk or a smile or even giving you your receipt when nobody else is in line to pay their bill. That's just how it is. If you want good catfish, Sling Shot Charlie's will come through. But if you want a southern culinary experience that's enjoyable, there are much better places to have it!

I ordered the fried redfish served over Gouda grits with a Cajun crawfish sauce. This dish was EXCELLENT! The Gouda grits had a little bit of a kick to them and the crawfish sauce had an amazing flavor which made the whole thing an over the top flavorful dish. My husband ordered the pork chop and wasn't a fan. The pork chop was overcooked and dried out. While overcooked, the chop did have a nice smoked flavor. He quashed he had ordered the redfish because he loved the flavor of my dish, so we shared. He had fries and Mac n cheese with his dish and both were good. We loved the truffle fries dipped in ketchup. Something about the combination just works together. We finished the night off with their yummy bread pudding! Definitely save room for dessert because the bread pudding with caramel sauce is sooooo gooood!

I went in with high expectations as it seems to be the only fancy spot for a long distance around. Also, I was a fan of the previous restaurant in this building, Vinegar Jim's. The service was friendly and the drinks were surprisingly good, though their cocktail menu is primarily sweet beachy drinks which I don't prefer. We started with the BBQ shrimp and burnt ends plate, both of which were excellent. My girlfriend and brother both got the Debris Samich, which I liked but they did not as the bun was rather soggy. I thought it tasted good and was happy to treat it as a knife and fork sandwich. I had the 38-day dry aged prime ribeye- which was offered at a great price for the quality and the treatment of the meat. The center was cooked exactly how I ordered it, but around the outside the meat somehow appeared to be raw while simultaneously having a burnt crust on the outside. I was underwhelmed because even though most of the steak was great the burnt bits turned me off. We had a few desserts, and my favorite was the butter cake. They're definitely worth a try. Good food, good prices, and friendly service.

After several unsatisfactory visits to this specific location, I can recommend with my whole chest that this Taco Bell location should be avoided. Of our trips here we've had one where we were the only patrons, we ordered ahead, and we STILL waited over 30 minutes for our food. Our most recent trip it seemed like they must've been rationing their meat and toppings or something because our tacos and Crunchwrap were 75% tortilla and little bits of the meat and toppings. I know there are usually reasons these things can happen but like I said, every visit (and we've gone several times over the last year) there has been some kind of major issue and each time the food is just not even up to normal Taco Bell standards. As if that's not bad enough, to add insult to injury the prices of this location are SIGNIFICANTLY higher than other Taco Bell locations in the area. For example, to swap from beef to chicken on a soft taco is an 80¢ upcharge in Collierville while it's $1.40 (!!!) at this Arlington location. So not only is this worse quality here - but you're getting charged a premium. Don't fall for it. Skip this location all together.
