I could have sworn there was a point where I thought that I had identified this particular Waffle House as probably one of the best in the city. The staff at his location was very friendly and there wasn't a long wait for food to be served. My husband ordered hash browns "smothered" with onions and added cheese. When they brought the plate out, he noticed that there was no cheese and made the server aware. They had the nerve to fix the issue by throwing a slab of cheese on top. (See pic) We couldn't believe our eyes! I'm not sure if this is how it's always done or if the cook was frustrated about food coming back. We will be mindful of that if we decide to give them a try again.

Great new Waffle House! I've tried it a few times now. Perfect location. Service is good and the food is always good. I hope it stays clean and keeps up the good service. Hope to make this a regular breakfast stop for our family.

Horrible place. Just tacky and nasty. I would never be back again. Rude and everything. Customer service is terrible now.

Let's start with the logistics: this place is tiny, and the "system" they have going on is pure chaos. You order at the counter, they hand you a number, and then employees just aggressively shout numbers out into a crowded room. To make matters worse, people ordering to-go just hog the limited tables meant for dine-in customers while they wait. Management desperately needs to hand out table flags, text people when it's ready, or something, because the current setup is a bottleneck. Between the crowd and the open kitchen, expect to leave the building smelling straight-up like bacon grease. Because they were slammed, it took an absolute eternity for my food to hit the table. If you are on a tight schedule to get out of town, this is not the move. Now, the saving grace is the food--the kitchen definitely has soul. I ordered the fish and grits, and being hardheaded, I added a side of four shrimp just to compare. Learn from my mistake: just stick to the fish and grits! The fried catfish was seasoned to absolute perfection, piping hot, and the grits were incredibly creamy. The shrimp were okay, but not worth the extra cash. Honestly, the food is genuinely good Southern comfort food, but it is heavily overpriced for the tiny portion sizes and the chaotic, cramped experience. I'd probably only ever come back for a call-ahead to-go order, and only if I had zero time constraints.

The hostess seated my wife & I and our server Carter did N excellent job for us. The restaurant is large and well spaced out. It is also clean and the ambiance is a home type feel. We started with the Fried pickles cooked in fresh oil and came out hot. The country dip is good. Basically roast beef cut up and provolone melted cheese on top within a roll plus an au jou dipping sauce. It's chunkier than a normal French dip but it is good. Flavor wise, it was average and could have been seasoned a bit more. The beef is barely above the bland side as far as pot roast beef is concerned. However, combined together the components elevate the sandwich. It's worth the try to see if one would like it. French fries were good and freshly lightly salted. Cole slaw was basic. Not too creamy but also not sweet. My wife got the fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken. It was good and you will notice the grilled flavoring on the chicken. For me, the food could have benefited from a bit more seasoning but that is subjective. The meals were well worth the cost and Pop's deserves to be on anyone's go to eateries if you want good comfort dining.

The food and coffee was so delicious. I wouldn't say I'm a food snob, but I'm particular about breakfast foods, and this made me very happy. We each ordered a coffee and the bacon potatoes to share. I ordered the Juniper Benedict and my friend ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy. The bacon potatoes were cooked perfectly, soft and slightly crunchy with plenty of cheese and bacon. The eggs in my eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and they used a regular house-made biscuit that soaked up the egg yolks perfectly. The restaurant was pretty big, but the ambiance felt like a small-town diner. The staff was super kind and attentive, too. The cost is par for the course for a nice diner in a big city. TLDR: Not a bad word to say about this place.

Another amazing breakfast experience at Bryant's for the Ladies of Carolina Double Dutch Therapy!…read more We visited for the 1st time last year during our Annual Double Dutch Beale Street Takeover in Memphis, and it was so good that while planning this year's trip (4/30/26 - 5/3/26), we made sure Bryant's was added to our itinerary again. I'm happy to say the food quality, portion sizes, and customer service were just as amazing as we remembered. Everything was consistent, flavorful, and worth the return visit -- definitely another one for the books! What made the experience even more special was having the same two waitresses from last year, and they actually remembered us. That level of attentiveness and personal connection says a lot about the care they put into their customers and service. Keep up the amazing work! We will absolutely be back again. And trust me, it was hard trying to capture a picture before everyone started eating -- most plates were almost empty by the time we remembered to take one!
