So we decided to come here. Midland is a well known location that not hard to find. There was 1 more hours to be closed, when we walked in. But the casher was not rush me. She just let us know we could scan the QR code for the menu on the table, and come up to the counter to order, when we are ready. We were debating which one to get, Golden Mango or Matcha Mango Bingsu. The cashier said Golden Mango is giving different texture, even though it's all mango flavor; the Matcha Mango is using matcha shaved ice as base, then top with Mango fresh fruit. So we final decision was the Golden Mango Bingsu. Once we ordered, we got a electric alert board. We won't wait long, the alert board was beeping when our order was ready. I went back to the counter to get my Bingsu. This desert is not big that costs $12.55+tax. Sago has no taste. Fresh mango is on the top, mango base is mango flavored shaded ice, which is like ice cream that smooth. Mango sauce as layer is in the middle of the base, which makes stronger taste. Overall, it's pretty tasty and fresh. That's another type of ice cream for me. The store was open until late night, and I was seeing couples coming in. That reminded me long time ago when we were young. Enjoy the desert and also enjoy the late night life.

The menu is extensive, with many drinks, sweets and even savory options. We got the mango bingsu, green tea red bean bingsu, the milk tea bingsu and the pomelo and mango coco drink. I liked the green tea bingsu the most as the ice was very fine and creamy. The milk tea was very choppy and I didn't like the texture as much. I think it's part of the aesthetic, but they serve the bingsu piled up super high in proportionally small bowls. They fully expect a mess so they provide trays for every bingsu to catch the mess as it melts, floods pass the bowl, syrups drip off the ice and toppings topple off. I wish they would just put it in a properly sized bowls instead of the mess. Also, the wooden trays are chipped and broken which doesn't feel hygienic. Service was super friendly even though it was busy, so extra star for the hardworking staff.

Small place, a few seats available and a long high top table in the middle. Two narrow washrooms at the back. You order your food at the counter, staff will help you out, very nice and kind. Water is available just at the long high top table with a tiny cup. Ordered a chocolate latte (not bad, not overly sweet and just water chocolate like other restaurants) and the matcha croffle. I would say i enjoyed the taste and size of the croffle at the other location, so I prefer to go to the other one next time.

I've been here a few times mostly earlier evenings and it's always busy but we always manage to get a table without waiting long to be seated. We ordered the deep fried peanut butter French toast bites, mango shaved ice, black sesame egg waffle. Our fallback and favourite is the mango shaved ice #1, deep fried peanut butter toast bites #2 and last is the egg waffle. The egg waffle is quite hard and it misses the mark of most egg waffles. I wonder if it becomes hard or has to be cooked harder because of the ice cream topping. I wouldn't order the egg waffle here again. I find that the desserts are reasonably priced compared to other Asian dessert stops in the area. The menu is extensive and has more cold desserts than warm desserts. Service was pretty good considering how busy it was on Friday evening and we were always able to get the attention of a server. Expect that seating is tight on popular evenings.

Given that I have not been to Korea in approximately a decade (excluding the airport), it may be the best bingsu I can remember ever having. We got to try the matcha affogato, persimmon bingsu, and the injeolmi bingsu. I learned what an affogato was for the first time (they pour espresso into ice cream, so this was matcha poured into matcha ice cream) and that was yum but not what I would come back for. It also becomes soup lol. The stars of the show are the bingsu. In my many years eating shaved ice in various places, I have never had a persimmon bingsu and I am so glad that I got to try it. The persimmon flavor was light but delicious. Of the three other people here, this was their favorite. I loved this one but my favorite was the injeolmi - a lot of it is more milky because the injeolmi powder is at the top but I loved that. The texture of this bingsu was excellent - we all marveled at it. The cornflakes throughout were a stroke of genius. I love this place and lol I am not kidding, this place might be the reason I plan my next trip to Toronto. I am half kidding I guess but it would very much be a factor. Run, don't walk to this place.

Since it was still pretty hot out, Meg and I decided to go for the iced spanner latte, and DAMN, the one made by Jiho was probably one of the most artisanal, beautifully handcrafted drinks I've ever had. Not only did it look absolutely gorgeous, but it was delicious. The espresso was bold yet balanced with condensed milk and slight hints of cocoa powder, topped with a tangy, creamy mascarpone quenelle and tiny buds of rosemary that added a wonderfully fragrant note to the rich coffee. Every element felt incredibly deliberate and delicate, and the whole drink came together beautifully. I've drank shit tons of coffee & fun drinks around the world and this was definitely one of the best. Jiho really showed off his excellent barista skills with our drinks -- the presentation and execution were seriously impressive. He was also incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. The cafe itself was cozy, beautiful, and relaxing -- definitely the kind of place where you can sit back and take your time. Can't wait to come back and try more things from the menu.
