I come here twice per week and absolutely LOVE Injulmi Bingsu, my all-time favourites. However, there are other fantastic other dessers too. Especially a Castella is best among them. And various combinations with shaved ice always make me feel so good. As a whole, a good place to come for either eat-in or take-out but if you decide to stay, enjoy the service with friendly guy, take a gander at the wide selection, and soak a decor and atmosphere. I love shaved ice. I ordered the black sesame (cup size, $7.50). They have quick service, around 10 minutes and nice presentation. I much prefer flavours like black sesame and injoelmi than fruit flavours when it comes to shaved ice. I normally love fruit and I eat an insane amount of it, but I find that when it comes to shaved ice, the non-fruit flavours are tastier. The black sesame had a rich flavour and it made me want to say YUM with each bite. The place is small, but much larger than their other location. It's nicely decorated and is a nice place to hang with friends. Parking can be a bit hard during peak hours as the plaza is a bit busy. read more

The shaved ice here is a snowy, almost milky consistency and doesn't chill you to the bone. Would definitely go back to try another flavour. Black sesame had nice mixture of sweet, crunchy, chewy and creamy from the black sesame ice cream, black sesame paste, red bean, almond pieces and injeolmi (glutinous rice). I was craving delicious desserts and decided to give Cups a try. The weather was 27 degrees Celsius out, so naturally, everyone is looking for a cool down dessert or snack. This place was really busy (at 8:30PM). When we had arrived, there was a line-up of about 10 people, and all the tables were taken. We decided we would order and if no tables freed-up we would eat it outside. Tables are first come first serve here and no wait service. Similar to a cafeteria type setting - unfortunately, this lets people who order nothing sit down and occupy tables while other customers holding bowls of dessert stand and eat. We waited 10 mins to order and 30 mins for our dessert to be prepared. In addition, they did not call the number at the bottom of the receipt (which they should), they called out the dessert type that was ready, which often results in two people who ordered the same thing looking at each other confused, and were not sure if it belonged to them or the other person - they have the means to execute the correct system but don't use it - not sure why. When we finally got the desserts (small black sesame bingu and small Ingeolmi bingsu), we were disappointed that there was only 5 small squares of mochi in each small bingsu. It's 70% shaved ice, and the rest toppings (ice cream, red bean). The taste was o-k. Nothing special and nothing to rave about. The pictures look better then they taste, that's for sure. We also ordered their drinks - Taro Frappe and Chai Frappe. They're just blended milk drinks. Nothing to rave about. Overall, we were pretty disappointed. I think we were thinking that the wait would be worth it, but it wasn't. Oh yeah - at 9 pm, they ran out of ice and had to turn customers away, which might mean that you have to go earlier if you really want a bingsu (it's also puzzling because their business is mainly making bingsu, so how could they run out of their main ingredient..). It's also worthy to note that the man behind the counter is very very kind and always smiling, which is one of the only plus sides from my whole experience here. *If you have to wait for a table, or wait in line, I'd say, don't bother. If there's no line up and some empty tables, why not give it a shot? You might have a better experience then I did. read more

Decided to try the cup sized coffee shaved ice here and it was good. It was like eating freshly fallen snow in a cup, but tastier. The shaved ice was very light, powdery, fine, and soft. It came with a scoop of coffee ice cream, some cheerios, and mochi bits. The coffee taste is strong and bold which is good. Once you hit the bottom it starts to melt and tastes like an iced cap. In terms of the uniqueness I would say it tastes like any coffee flavoured dessert it but I was quite impressed with texture and how powdery the shaved ice was. This place has really good Korean shaved ice! At this location, I tried the strawberry and tiramisu flavours. Both were delicious, and the tiramisu one also had a little shot of espresso to pour over the top. We got the large so not sure if it only comes with that size or it comes with the smaller ones as well. It also had an entire slice of tiramisu cake on top of it so that was a plus. When you eat it though, make sure to thoroughly mix the syrups with the shaved ice so it's all combined! Or else you'll be left with just shaved ice at the bottom. Maybe it'll be a bit better if they layer the flavours so that doesn't happen. The main difference between this location and the Markham location is that this one doesn't have the beeper to let you know your order is ready. The server has to yell out the order and you have to pay attention to pick it up. Other than that, would definitely come back to try out their different flavours! read more

I tried the black sesame cup because of the reviews and tried to share with my husband. But I ended up eating most of it, the homogenised milk reminds me of being a child. So, it's nostalgic and just freaking amazing. Want to try a different flavour next time but I may be stuck on repeat. read more

Small little coffee and dessert cafe tucked away in a plaza off yonge just north of steeles. Specialize in shaved ice, most are sweet and made with condensed milk, different assortment of fruit toppings and syrups. I'm not a big fan of fruit based dessert so I almost always go for the mocha. It's really good! Not a bad place but nothing too crazy either. Also it's run by the owner so it's usually pretty slow when you order with a group or there's a line. read more

Always love coming here for dessert! They have two locations (the other closer to finch station but is always crowded) so usually I go to this one. Honestly, I've been to a lot of places for Bingsu and this one is my favorite. Unlike some other places that only put the toppings on the top, this place layers it so even when you hit the middle, the toppings are still there. It's like eating it twice lol I usually get the "Cup" size and that is enough to fill me and my husband I have tried: 1) Injeongmi - as other reviewers have mentioned this one has lots of mochi layered, super delicious and usually my go to 2) Strawberry - This is a really popular choice I think because last couple times we came with friends, they were all sold out. This tastes exactly like strawberry ice cream so if you love that, you will love this! it also comes with cheesecake pieces so it's absolutely delicious. A bit too sweet for my taste but still good 3) Black Sesame - This was my husbands favorite. Good amount of toppings included with the black sesame ice cream and small mochi pieces Overall, I always have a positive experience here. Only thing is sometimes the wait time can be really long because people order then sit down and there are only two people working. The space is small but nothing unbearable. Cash and Debit Only! and tons of parking in the parking lot =) Looking forward to trying their tiramisu next time because that looks bomb =D read more

Beware, dishonest owner at this location. I ordered a small mango shaved ice and it normally comes with a mango yoghurt on top. Only a small whip cream on top this time and when i asked the cashier, she said they dont normally have mango yoghurt on top (but it is on the menu and pics) When I point out it is on the menu, she said the menu was printed wrong. I honestly think I am very very hard to please when it comes to desserts. The Restaurant is really small and it is more of a self-serve stop. The menus are spread out in the restaurant, but you would pick the item and order at the counter. Most of the time, they will bring the dessert directly to your table. However, if it's a quick drink you would have to pick it up yourself lols. The drinks (which my friends ordered) are forgettable as they have noted, very bland, and the designs are almost non-existent. We ordered 3 different bingsu, all of which are meh. Lol. The portions are decent, you really need 2 people to eat one bowl. The main reason as to why their bingsu(s) suck is the fact that they use frozen fruits. For example, in the mango bingsu, the fruits were so cold and hard that we had a brain freeze after every bite. A lot of the condiments are just cheap cereal snacks and it's nothing you can't make at home. Anyways, for a quick dessert, this place is okay but I would not come back. read more

Their shaved ice is spot on and so good. I especially like their injulmi bingsoo with rice cake bits and condense milk drenched over. I wish service could be bit faster as I find them very slow with serving and slows down the crowd and seat availability.
