Nice little dessert place with great ambiance. They also serve hot foods. Tip is included in the bill. The mango mochi dessert was good.

HK Dessert shop, expanded to include hot savoury foods, and childrens cooking classes, available at this Unionville flagship location only. While I'm not particularly fond of most Asian desserts, this spot has a very fun variety to choose from, including ice cream based, soy bean pudding (tofu fa), eggettes, and pillows. To date, I believe I've tried at least one flavour variety of each of category, my personal favourite being the Mixed Fruit bowl; I don't usually like sago pearls but the pomelo mango sago is quite delicious. Food is not super super sweet, just the way most Asians prefer dessert. Their savoury food menu is small, they've recently expanded to include steamed dishes as well, which is more suitable for those who prefer less fried foods. I've had almost all of their savoury foods, with the exception of a few of the new steamed ones. Of the savoury menu, my favourites are: popcorn chicken, phoenix shrimp, Portuguese chicken, stewed pork belly, braised beef, steamed chicken and mushroom. The flavours are tasty, and portions are fantastic for their price. My LO has also attended several of the kids cooking classes, and has a lot of fun. The cooking classes are capped, to ensure a fun, personalized, guided experience for everyone. Price is also reason for what is included, the "cooking", the food to eat or take home, and kid size dessert, and a Little Star Chef apron, and occasionally a bonus gift (our last mooncake class came with a cute Chinese paper lantern). If you're a returning chef, bring back the apron for a rebate in their points system. Space is clean, spacious, and bright enough. Service has always been friendly.

I finally decided to give this place a try. On entry 10:30pm on a late Tuesday night, we were promptly attended to and told of all the things they were out of. We were also mentioned about them closing soon. We were OK with that as it was just for a quick dessert. Once seated, we ordered. I ordered a Mango Pomelo Sago. This order came within 2 mins which made me wonder if this was already made and sitting there. The Mango Pomelo Sago was very liquid. It was like a thin soup. It was served almost at room temperature. There was a lot of sago balls and limited mango, lacking much mango flavour. There was a small sprinkling of pomelo pulp. A little fresh tasting. Found this place expensive for what you get, especially compared to another dessert restaurant.

I can't believe it took me so long to try Honeymoon! A franchise from Hong Kong, it specializes in Chinese desserts: both modern and traditional. If you're in the mood for savoury, it's also got lots of snacks and rice sets. The restaurant itself is very bright and spacious, perfect to grab a quick bite or hang around with friends. I got the almond tea (not a tea, more like a hot sweet soup) and my partner got the osmanthus milk custard. The almond tea hit the spot, especially as it's getting chilly outside. The custard was creamy, rich, and really satisfying. I would love to try their steamed rice sets one day, they look bomb. The only hiccup was that I had a slight communication issue with the server. I don't think she's fluent in English (or Cantonese) and she may have been new. But we figured it out in the end and everything came as expected.

I like that this location is an actual restaurant and not a takeout counter with some seating. For the Scarborough location, certain menu items weren't available, which was such a bummer. There's a wall of windows on the side of the entrance and some windows along the other wall, making the space really bright. The service was on the slow side when I went a couple of weekends ago. They seemed short on staff, and the server that we had kept forgetting things that we requested (like another drinking glass, extra cutlery, etc.). In terms of food, they have actual meals, not just desserts. The lunch dishes are $12.99 and include black sesame soy milk and a soft beancurd dessert. However, we did not receive the soft beancurd dessert. There are also Asian snacks available from 11 a.m. until late at night. We ordered the 48-hour pork belly stew and Taiwanese popcorn chicken. For dessert, we shared the snowball mochi. This is three scoops of Kawartha Dairy strawberry ice cream wrapped in a mochi skin. It's definitely a shareable dessert. We really enjoyed everything that we ordered; it was so tasty and filling.

I love the variety of filling vs light desserts here. After an abundant dinner elsewhere, I was craving something sweet but cozy, especially since it started snowing that evening. I got the Osmanthus Brown Sugar with Peach Resin & Taro Balls. I loved it so much that I want to figure out a way to make it myself once I go back home where there's no dessert places like this :'( Of course I won't be able to replicate it authentically so I recommend anyone who wants some yummy desserts. I went on a Monday late night at 9pm and it wasn't too busy. I appreciate how late it stays open so people with insatiable sweet tooths can indulge our cravings. The waitress was nice and service was prompt. The restaurant was spacious and clean and well lit.

We have had this in Hong Kong but I was not very impressed. My cousin recommended this location and we gave it a go. I am not sure how it is possible but this is much better than the original store we tried in Hong Kong. If you like cream, the mango pillow would make you really happy. It's mango and cream wrapped inside mango flavored crepe. If you prefer more traditional Chinese dessert, Mango Pomelo & Sago Sweet Soup with tofu pudding is great. It's a great combination of 2 desserts and they just blend so well together. My picky toddler loved everything. If you like Asian dessert, this is a great place to be. Enjoy!!

The food was yummy. Its nothing special tho. The portion is pretty small compared to the price but it was fine for me. The service is nice and friendly. The place is pretty big and gives off a nice chill and dine environment. I feel like its nice to try if you are looking for a dessert spot.

Super cute dessert spot with Asian desserts! Tasty and fairly priced. Wish desserts came on plates or larger bowls, though... and not shoved into tiny bowls. But that's my only real criticism! One other small note is that a pomelo is like a grapefruit, and when we asked if there was grapefruit, they said no. But clearly, there was pomelo in the dish. Hello, allergies! Liked that the desserts we tried were flavourful and not overly sweet. Will bring other friends here! Great location! Warden/Hwy 7!

Our current faves - mango sago with pomelo, mango pillows and salted egg yolk bubble waffle skewers delightful Chinese desserts that are just the right amount of sweetness. Also love that they have little chef classes for little kids to make their own desserts. My son tried making glutinous rice balls during Lunar New Year and Mochi during Valentine's Day. He loved the experience so much as it was interactive and he got to enjoy what he made at the end of the classes. Also, they are launching a rewards program and you can earn Mango Dollars for each visit.

A cute quiet cafe. Service is fast, food came all at once quickly. The shake shake fries were only ok, we had the garlic flavor and it tasted like cheesling fries (not bad). The mango sago soup is cold and refreshing. Popcorn chicken is awesome!

Location/Service This place is located within the plaza right at Warden and Highway 7, by the corner where Shoppers Drug Mart is. Plenty of parking around the lot. Big restaurant sign outside. Love the interior with bright warm lightning and high ceilings. Table are usually in groups of 4, but can accommodate larger groups. Service was alright (mostly young people). Fast. And generally friendly. Dessert I tried several desserts here before - generally ranging somewhere from $8-$12. I like how they have mango themed related desserts since it's one of my favourite fruits. Themango pomelo is a good one to try, with its chunky pieces of mango that blends well with the coconut mixture and Ive tried it with a tofu pudding base. Another dessert I tried is a sago theme, warm or cold, it's nice to try as well. It's smooth and comforting. Overall it's nice to see another dessert place in the area. It gets pretty busy at night so make sure you go when it's their down time

I arrived right at opening time on a Saturday, and they had all their food items out, and were just placing the description cards on the display. Another family had entered just before me, but otherwise the place was empty. The interior of the store is minimal and clean, very nice quiet spot to enjoy some of their goodies. I ended up getting 3 pastries in addition to the mini-cakes since the staff reminded me that any order of 6 items would be tax-free, and the selection was so appealing that day that I couldn't resist! Flavour, quality, and presentation was amazing, just as I expected based on the birthday cake I had tried from here. I loved everything! Such a spot for great pick me up treat. Prices tend to run pretty standard for the GTA, $6-10 per item. Staff told me their night baker had made all items the same day, so no wonder their quality is top notch.
