This place brings me back to the old Hong Kong outdoor stall days! Only place I have found to serve the ginger milk dessert, along with a large selection of Chinese desserts that are very reasonably priced! Many of the desserts are sold for $12+ but most of their items are under $10 :) I've been here at 8pm and 11pm and would recommend to come earlier, as there is a rush during "siu yeh" time!
Located in FMP outside the stores beside Hey Noodles. This place is a small dessert place where they share tables for two seaters if they're busy. There is only about one table for a table of 6 there. The rest of the seatings are 2-4 people only. No booths. The place is with bright lighting with boxes of mangoes by the cashier. No reservations from what I noticed. Service is prompt and quick, really nothing much to it but good that they're fast. Food comes out quick as well. We ordered desserts pomelo, mango one with tofu and the other with grass jelly, both with sago and coconut milk. If you like sago and mango, this is the place to go ! Although they could've given more pomelo in my opinion, but the portion is a big bowl and more than enough sago with a good amount of mango. They also offer drinks and some snack foods like popcorn chicken, deep fried squid, but we only ordered the two sago desserts. I would come here again for this kind of dessert and try a hot one this time!

I ordered the Mango & Pomelos with sago cream (it was delicious except for the pomelos on top) I would skip the pomelos next time because it gave a little bitter flavor to the sago! My friend ordered the Mango Pudding with milk and papaya on top (not much flavor in this dessert except for the mango pudding)!
A classic Chinese dessert place that has been around many many years. Since there are so many reviews on their dessert, I want to bring attention to their snack and clay pot rice. Truly, the clay pot rice is amazing! Perfect crispy rice at the bottom and a lot of Chinese preserved meat (much more than other establishments!) service is ok, normal of a Chinese place. Restaurant looks traditional and quite busy at night. The wooden chairs are a bit uncomfortable to sit for a long time, so that helps with turnaround time

Hands down some of the best traditional Chinese dessert I've had in the greater Toronto area! We came here Sunday night, and every single table was occupied. We got really lucky to be able to walk in around 9pm and were able to take their last table. I had a good idea of what I wanted, as my friend recommended this place for me due to me wanting traditional Chinese desserts. I was able to communicate with the staff in Cantonese, which made me feel even more warm and at home. I had the tofu pudding with syrup. My partner tried the mango pomelo sago. We also did an order of curry fish balls. Everything was amazing. It was not overly sweet or plain, just perfect to my tasting. I also appreciate the syrup on the side because for tofu pudding, the syrup tends to sink to the bottom, so it's best to do it yourself with each bite. The tofu was soft, silky, fresh, and hot off the press which is exactly how it should be. I am already thinking of when I will be back next, and I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for traditional Chinese dessert. They are also cash only.
Hot food and cold desserte are a great combination, especially for a late night outing here since they open until late. Crispy chicken wings were the highlight for me. The rice rolls are also very soft and tasty with the sauce. The curry fish balls were OK. The fruit and grass jelly with a scoop of ice cream is also fresh and delicious, although it could have been plated more nicely.
Traditional Chinese desserts! This is as traditional a it gets when you're looking for some Chinese desserts! In the one of the corners of First Markham Place Plaza, you can find this local shop. It's old, and has been around for quite some time but their dessert quality and taste is still there! Expect to be seated in traditional Chinese tables, think round wood and marble tables with wood and marble stools (no back support). The place is cash only but I've heard from a birdie that they also take debit, so make sure you ask! Their food items look pretty good as well. The tables all around me were ordering fried squid which looked and smelled phenomenal. My friends and I opted for the traditional dessert items here though, since we were looking for something sweet after dinner. What we got: Purple glutinous rice with added tofu flower 10/10 - The tofu flower was added for an additional $ (I can't remember how much), and was the perfect sweetness, texture and warmth. Black sesame paste with added tofu flower 8/10 - The black sesame paste was so rich and deep in sesame flavour. The added tofu flower added more texture to the dessert. Ordered it to be hot, but it came warm, and got cold pretty quickly. Highly recommend you check out this dessert spot if you're in the area or craving for some Chinese desserts.
Wow have not had traditional desserts in a while and Tracy's is popping! Came on a Friday night and had to wait 5-10 minutes for a table but the turnover was fast. They have a pretty extensive menu that spans across drinks, to sweet soups, to shave ices, to savoury items like clay pot rice and rice noodles. I got the mixed fruit over mango ice and it was pretty good. I think next time I will stick with the sea coconut ice base instead of mango base ha. The mango pomelo sago with tofu was delicious as well. Will be back again!

Review on their dessert. Came in for dessert and we were happy with what we got. I was craving for Sweet Black Sesame Thick Soup and it really hit the spot. Hubby enjoyed the Mango & Pomelos w/ Sago and my friend's Sea Coconut Jelly mixed w/ Fresh Fruit was refreshing. Place gets busy as the night falls with younger crowd :) read more
Was always curious to try this place so we came by for a dessert. Service is a little difficult tables are kind of combined so you are seated with strangers most of the time it looks like. The desserts are very good The fruits are very fresh and sweet tasting. Mango sago 9/10 Very refreshing. Mango was a little bit sour, but very good. Black sesame 7/10 I prefer this one as a cold dessert but they only had the hot option or we didn't see the cold option. A little bit bland could be sweeter could have more black sesame taste. Mix fruit sago 9/10 This is the one I would recommend if you have no idea what to get you kind of get a bit of everything very refreshing. Cold fruit was very sweet. Do wish there was more fruit though. If you're in the area, looking for some sweet fresh desserts, definitely recommend it. Just be prepared to sit with some strangers. read more

Been coming to Tracy Dessert since childhood days. Always been a fan of this place bc it has delicious snacks and amazing Chinese desserts. Service is friendly and courteous. It does get a bit busy after dinner hours; people come in mainly for desserts! I, on the other hand, come in FOR dinner, and end the meal with a dessert ^^ Their clay pot rice is good for 2 people, and very satisfying! The dessert menu is absolutely endless lol. You will definitely find something you like :))) read more

Nice Chinese dessert place at FMP in Markham. We ordered a Sweet Black Sesame Thick Soup, Double Boiled Egg, Double Boiled Egg White & Milk, and Deep-Fried Milk Custard. All of them were pretty tasty. Always busy at night. Recommended. read more

We finished early dinner and wandered around looking for a dessert place. I wanted matcha ice cream but we couldn't find a place that served it and ended up trying Tracy Dessert. It's a pretty "traditional" looking Chinese dessert place like old-school sweet soups and mango this and that. They had a big sign with HK-style shaved ice in matcha or HK milk tea (and another flavour that I can't remember). I ordered the matcha flavour and chose 3 toppings: mango, strawberry and watermelon. The shaved ice is layered instead of other shaved ice (Taiwanese?) which have the little pebble-like ice. I much prefer the shaved version and the matcha flavour was pretty much like ice cream. The mango chunks were ripe as were the strawberries and watermelon. It definitely satisfied my matcha ice cream craving. 4* The other dessert that we ordered was the mango and grass jelly (楊枝金露) The base was quite nice but the grass jelly was an odd texture. We most likely will not be re-ordering this dessert. 2* read more

By Chinese standards, I'm sure the black sesame paste is fine. By my standards, it wasn't sweet enough and didn't have the fragrant black sesame flavor. Inside was super cute, like how I would see tong siu establishments on a TVB show. Cash and debit only. Service was fine--got the order correct and not overly hospitable. read more

Popped in here on a Saturday night to get some traditional Chinese desserts. I decided to go here because the interior looked a lot more traditional than other modern Asian dessert places like Sugar Marmalade. We had to wait for 10-15 mins for a table as the place was packed. They decided to line the table with a plastic covering to make cleanup easier which I didn't mind at all during covid times. We eventually got seated and my partner and I got the glutinous balls with sesame and peanut, the walnut soup with half sesame, and the Mango sago. Right off the bat, the glutinous balls were tiny! Definitely a lot smaller of a portion than expected and the picture in the menu looked deceiving. They were so small that they gave us toothpicks to eat it with. Given the price of that dish, I expected something a bit bigger. The Mango sago was pretty good, not as sweet but still refreshing. But I would say that it is average compared to other dessert places that serves the same dish. The walnut and sesame soup was the most disappointing one. First of all, it came room temperature and not even the slight bit warm. It also tasted super diluted and just not the traditional one I'm used to having. I didn't end up finishing this one. Overall, I would most probably stick to other asian dessert places that I've been to in the past. read more
Location/Service This place is right in First Markham Place plaza - in the corner beside the mall entrance. Parking is available all around the plaza. The sign is easy to spot - and it's in English (no Chinese name). I like the interior, which is setup with round tables and olden/traditional Chinese furniture. Social distancing setup is in place (but no plexi glass between tables), and mostly offer takeout orders. Staff were nice and generally fast with orders. Food/Dessert Ordered curry fish balls and curry meat balls - which I initially thought would be HK style setup, where it will be boiled/infused with the curry for long periods of time. However, the ball and the sauce were separate. The balls basically were heated/fried on the spot and they poured this thick pasty sauce on top of it. It wasn't that great to be honest and it didn't combine well together. Ordered a sweet sticky rice with coconut milk. This is usually my go to dessert and they've done a good job with this. The sticky rice was plenty and the coconut milk was fresh. But I did feel it was a bit watery - probably the ratio was a bit off, I usually prefer it a little thicker. This place has been here for many years and it was one of my go to places back in the days. I hope their quality improves a bit - especially during this time of a pandemic. Very hard to find a HK style dessert place nowadays! read more

Best mango pudding! This is my daughter's favourite dessert so we've tried it in many dessert shops and it's definitely the best here. Smooth silky pudding topped with half a fresh mango that is perfectly ripened. You know that mango is their speciality as you'll see cases of it on their shelf. Not sure how they manage to have fresh sweet mango all year round because it's consistently always really good. We come here not just for the dessert but also for the steamed clay pot pork rib rice. Another dish that they do so perfectly. It's so flavourful and tasty. Although their menu has only a small selection of cooked food, since they always do it very well customers will keep coming back. That is why after many years of coming here, we have stayed a loyal customer. read more
Came here for a late night dessert and tried the shaved ice! Got the milk tea shaved ice w/ kiwi, mango, and strawberry! ($10). The shaved ice tasted good and the fruits were fresh as well. I wouldn't recommend strawberry with the other two as I found it was a lot more sour than the other fruits and overpowered them a bit. Overall, enjoyed my stay! staff were nice and they definitely have some really cool furniture to boot! read more

Came here after dinner with a girlfriend for something sweet. Tucked away in the corner of first markham place next to Mabu generation, unless you're deliberately looking for this place you might just miss it. My friend ordered the steamed egg with mango and for myself, the glutinous sticky rice in coconut and sago pudding which came hot. Compared to other places, they serve it with shaved coconut and evaporated milk on top as opposed to using coconut milk which is much richer. As a result this dessert wasn't as creamy as I would have liked, nor as thick. I didn't find out until later but this place is most well known for its steamed rice rolls. Wish I'd known sooner so I could've ordered something else. Perhaps next time. read more
My most favourite place ever for Chinese desserts! Not only are the prices SUPER reasonable, but the food is DELICIOUS! The staff and service is excellent too! And their tea is really good. I particularly love the design of the store. It is very traditional and not too modern; it reminds us of the Chinese culture and history. It's a perfect place to hang out with family and friends. The black sesame soup, steamed egg, fried milk, steamed noodle rolls, rice pots, are only a few of my beloved dishes here. I will no doubt be returning! :) read more
I split a mango and pomelo tapioca cream dessert with my brother and it was delicious. There were fresh chunks of mango in there, along with pomelo pulp. The cream was also mango flavored, and wasn't overly sweet. It was enough for 2 people to share. My mom got a red bean coconut milk drink, which is her favorite. However, it was not good here. I tried some and there was no coconut flavor in the milk...not sure if they used some cheap canned kind or what, but it just tasted bad. She got the large size, which costed $7+, but could only finish half since it wasn't at all enjoyable. It is pretty pricy here, and based on our experience, certain items on the menu are a lot better than others. I did see in the reviews that their hot pot rice bowls are amazing, so I'm interested in coming back at some point to try that. read more
The appetizers are huge, so I'd advise to share it with someone. The pepper with fish meat is a little more spicier than most restaurants, but it's okay because their fresh juices are currently 50%!!! We also ordered a spare ribs clay pot to share, which took 15 minutes to cook but super worth the wait!! The spare ribs clay pot was super flavourful, we didn't even need to add the soya sauce!! After our meal, we ordered their steamed egg white pudding which came super quick! The portion is a little on the smaller size, but it way better than most dim sum establishments. I came here a few times before and overall it's a pretty solid place to go for dessert. Their kitchen menu isn't as big as mabu, but the quality is pretty good! Serving traditional chinese desserts for many years now. I cant even remember when this place existed. But its still there and still one of my fav old school places to eat some comforting chinese dessert. Oh! AND DID I MENTION, this place was my hubby and I first date. Well not really a date but first place to sit down eat sweets and get to know each other. So I guess you can say this place holds a meaning to me. The place is small and gives you nothing fancy but more of cozy place to eat. Not only do they serve dessert but also some chinese rice dishes and snacks. The menu has a extensive selection to choose from but I always get the same 2 desserts: Sai-Mai-Lo and Tofu-Fa and both served hot. So delicious. I actually went there yesterday but got take out instead. If you looking for some comforting traditional chinese desserts, look no more, this place will have it and can satisfy your cravings. read more
How have I never actually sat down to type a review for this place?! Beats me. I've been coming here for 10+ years and it's always been my go-to Chinese dessert place. The running joke with my friends and family is that this is "my" dessert store.. except I don't make commission for bringing everyone to eat here! They've got cold desserts, hot desserts, fruit desserts, bean desserts, herbal desserts, you name it! It's a gathering spot great for all ages since the oldies tend to like the bean/herbal spectrum and the young 'uns like the sweet/fruit spectrum. Despite being a dessert store, they also offer a lot of traditional Chinese street side snacks + large pots of casserole rice (which takes ~15-20mins to make after ordering). I LOVE, and I repeat, I LOVE the street side rice noodles that they make here (cheung fun for the Canto speakers). Some days, I come drop by in the afternoon just to eat this dish. It's smooth and slippery, pipping hot, and doused in all of the delicious sauces. 10/10 would recommend. read more
Quaint spot in Markham area for Chinese desserts. There was a steady flow of customers going into the store, and our dessert was prepared relatively quickly. The steamed egg white with red bean usually takes 20 minutes, but they did it in 8 minutes. It tasted pretty good, although the portion size is a bit small. I also ordered their mango dessert with pomelo and it was not that great. Maybe because it was takeout, but the consistency of the soup was a bit gritty and there should be more mango slices and pomelo chunks. read more

This is one of those rare places in Markham that still serve traditional Chinese desserts. It gives me a nostalgic feeling whenever I visit as this restaurant has been here for awhile! There is spacious seating, but the tables and seats are very low so may be uncomfortable for some. My favourite items to order are the steamed rice rolls, almond paste, mango pudding, and deep fried milk. I love the soy/sesame sauces that come with the rice rolls and the mangos are pretty fresh too! They also have rice bowls as well, but you will have to wait a bit longer. Cash is the preferred method of payment. read more
