Visited twice to enjoy HK style dessert. Both times they were relatively busy. Service was friendly and I like the variety of different dessert toppings such as sago, coconut jelly, palm seeds, mini taro balls. Dessert was delicious to share and price was resonable!

If you enjoy Chinese or Hong Kong style traditional desserts with a fun modern twist, this spot is perfect. There are lots of toppings and customization options to choose from, which makes it even more enjoyable. We ordered the mango-based dessert with taro ball toppings and the Taro Grand Slam, which comes with coconut milk, grass jelly, taro, red bean, and sago. Both were super tasty and served in traditional bowls, which was a nice touch. Service was great too, the staff kept refilling our tea without us even asking. You line up at the entrance, get a buzzer, and wait for your turn. We waited a little over 30 minutes after dinner, but it was totally worth it. Overall, a cozy spot for classic Hong Kong style desserts with a modern twist. Definitely worth the wait and hype!

The spacing is small, clean and bright. Overall comfortable spot for a quick dessert place. Make sure to come early because it does get busy at night time. You may have to wait a but to get in line. Tips: Go to the front and ask for a handheld vibrating device to wait in line. The desserts were delicious. Loved the coconut milk purple glutinous selections. We tried both items from the glutinous rice options and enjoyed it. I will definitely be back to try other items.

If you're planning to dine in, be prepared for a bit of a wait, as the store tends to get quite busy. We tried the Chewy Mango Delight with sago and the Double Skin Milk Pudding with red bean both were enjoyable and not overly sweet, which we liked. However, either didn't particularly stand out, especially with so many similar dessert spots in the area. The pudding in my opinion was also on the smaller size for the price. Since the store is newly opened and experiencing high traffic, the overall experience felt rushed we felt pressured to order, eat, and leave quickly. The space is also quite small, with only six tables, which added to the feeling of being hurried. Many items were already sold out by the time we arrived, which was understandable since we visited about an hour before closing. However, it would be helpful if staff informed customers about low availability in advance so they can better decide whether it's worth the wait.

The Library Specialty Coffee - Matcha Latte

Finally, a proper matcha latte! Maybe I just really like my matcha bitter, but The Library…read moreSpecialty is one of the best places to go to for matcha. The service was prompt and efficient, and there were a few spots inside for seating. It was quiet on a Saturday afternoon when we got there, but more people started coming in afterwards, and got some iced matcha (despite the cold, haha)! The hojicha latte was tasty as well, it tasted similar to the ones we had in Japan.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

For me, the drink itself is about 4/5 (barley milk tea), but my overall experience is what brings this up to a 5. When I walked in, I was greeted with the staff there who were very friendly. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I had stepped aside to look at the menu. They noticed and didn't pressure me in taking my order, but instead asked if I had any questions and had let me smell the tea leaves. For a more upscale bubble tea store, I appreciated that very much. I ended up getting the barley milk tea, and the flavour did not disappoint. The barley taste definitely came through, and it wasn't too sweet. Note: for sweetness level, get one lower than what you normally get. Trust me :) Overall I would come back when I'm in the area and craving for bubble tea to try other drinks. The only negative is that I wished they had barley as a topping, but overall the topping upcharge is pretty expensive than average. But recommend to give this place a try!

I think it's a great place to have a bubble tea shop here because I saw crowds of business people coming here during lunch time and high school students afterschool getting drinks. I ordered a pot of hand-drip "Melona." The first sip wasn't particularly amazing. But it was very clean. Slowly, the clear fruity aromas of honeydew melon and cantaloupe emerged, not overpoweringly acidic, but rather a gentle, restrained layering. It's the kind of coffee you find yourself drinking the whole pot without even realizing it. The space inside is also a big plus. The front area displays various coffee beans and related products, and a whole wall of transparent glass allows you to see the roasting factory in operation behind it. And their product line is incredibly comprehensive: coffee beans, equipment, instant coffee, canned coffee, espresso, and even ice cream (The most complete I've ever seen) I didn't have time to try many beans today, but I'm already looking forward to the Lychee flavor I'll be ordering in a few weeks More suitable for coffee enthusiasts (especially pour-over lovers) Clean flavor with detail, not the overly pleasing type Perfect for sitting alone for a long time
