We've been to Culver's a few times and enjoyed it every time. They have excellent custard, the cheese curds are delish and the burgers are fabulous. I will say that their custard menu is lacking, they just tell you that you can "add anything!" Which isn't super helpful. What is anything?! A Restaurant for Everyone! It's a small well-kept building with seats inside and outside. Clean tables, not extremely crowded inside, but the drive-thru can get jammed because of the wait. Clearly, this is a good restaurant if the number of people slows the drive-thru down. Culver's is one of the best fast-food restaurants I've ever been to. Just order a bacon deluxe butter burger and you'll be in hog heaven. Two perfectly cooked buns on top of a juicy patty with melted cheese on it and fresh, crispy bacon. The soft fries that come with it are cooked to perfection. They could use a little more seasoning, but I won't complain. When you order your food, the young cashiers tend to be very friendly and upbeat. Service was impressive for a fast-food restaurant and the wait from the time you order to the time you get your food is not that long. A variety of people come to the restaurant. It's clearly a family-friendly place. You can see people from young families with kids who are in the early stages of grade-school, teenagers who are just out to get a bite, couples who are trying a nice not too expensive meal, and just the average person. I don't know why I eat here. Probably because the health score at the nearby Sonic is 86. I NEVER get a burger that is warm enough to melt any of the cheese. I do like the onion rings as they USUALLY season them. Never have seen an adult working there so the manager must stay hidden or they don't employ them. Still beats the Hardee's and McDonald's, but so does Hwy 55 burger. Have even watched them take a group of 13 year olds order who walked through the drive thru. Pretty new establishment. Nice decor for fast food but the food totally missed the mark. The value basket meat portion for the burger is a joke & the chicken tenders tasted like Tyson from the grocery store. All in all, I give 2 stars based on the the internal decor. I've been a regular customer for a while but not any more. They left an item out of my drive thru order and I didn't find out until I got home (25 min away). That's fine, mistakes happen. However, they would not give me a refund for the item. I've had this same problem with at least 3 other restaurants and they were able to refund the item back to my card. I'm wasting an hour of my night correcting their problem. It's how you handle mistakes that determine whether I will continue to be a customer and with this treatment I certainly won't. read more

First time and I had the double Mushroom and Swiss, $5.19. It was tasty with plenty of cheese and mushrooms. The patties are 2.75 oz.

This place is a over hyped mac Ds. Actually MC ds is better just on price. 36.00 for burgers they didnt even put condiments on without you asking for nor did they ask. Their root beer seriously cannot be beat. And I love the concrete! I had a salted caramel today and loved it. As a former Wisonsinite, we were really excited to see Culvers come here, but it's just not the same. They totally skimp on the ice cream ingredients for the daily flavors. When in WI, Culvers was minutes from our house, so we were regulars. Here, it's more of a drive, and just not worth it. Their food is pre-made (think ordering a grilled chicken sandwich and having it at your table with 4 burgers, all in under 2 minutes. Chicken was cold inside. They do not have the sundae choices of the Wisconsin ones, and the daily flavors often don't have any of the ingredients listed (like caramel swirl, or pecans). We'll still stop there if in the area for "old-time's sake" but won't make a special trip out there again unless they up their game like their WI founders! read more

My review is just for the custard. This custard is creamy and delicious. I really enjoyed it. I had visited a Culver's somewhere in the Midwest, but I don't remember it. I also got the cheese curds and they were OK. Definitely not like cheese curds in Wisconsin. I have had butter burger in Wisconsin at a mom and pop joint. I didn't try it here. Just like Wisconsin! The first time I went, when it first opened, my burger was NOT good, overcooked. Luckily I had Culver's before and knew that was not what it was supposed to taste like - they happily made me another burger that was awesome. Cheese curds were also solid - not as good as what you'd get in a bar in the midwest, but it satisfies the craving :) We visited again a few months later, (we don't live that close by - and who really needs to eat this very often? haha) everything was awesome. Three words: crinkle cut fries. My kryptonite. The people at Culver's had me at Hello! First, the burgers are cooked on the flat top so they have that GBD crust that separates fast food from good food fast. The fries were reminiscent of the best bowling alley fries from your childhood. If you're low-carbing it, they have green beans for an alternate side. My wife helped the manager meet his monthly quota of one unit sold for green beans on this visit! My first time at the wake forest location was horrible. I used the drive thru because I had my dog in the car. When I ordered my burger I asked what comes on it and to make it a basket. The girl over the girl on the intercom just says "they're made to order" and laughs. So unable to get an answer for available toppings I just said ketchup, mustard, pickles, and lettuce. I pull up to the window, pay and get handed a number. The young girl at the window says "you need to pull up". I asked if there was a specific spot and she said "up front" pointing to the parking lot. So I parked in the front of the parking lot and waited. It seemed okay. Then a few minutes later another young girl and an older woman come towards my car with my order. They asked if I was waiting for an order. I said yes. Then then the young girl goes " I hate to give you a lecture but you're not suppose to park here". I explained to them this is my first time here and this is where I was directed to go. Then I was rudely told by the young girl "well don't let this happen again". And the older lady goes "have a good night". Customer service is lacking seriously here.
