Four young men and two 26' trucks showed up right on time and worked nonstop at an extremely rapid pace to load up extremely heavy furniture and oversized belongings in 3-4 hours (including elevator time) . When they got to the new home, it was about half the time to unload, hook up appliances, and rearrange furniture I requested a couple of times. They packed items we hadn't packed with no hesitation or question. They went ABOVE & BEYOND making sure furniture was placed in the correct room, that it was positioned how we wanted it and even moved a few HEAVY items a few times just to make sure it was to our liking. Did I mention they took beds down AND set them up at the new house? Upstairs AND downstairs? Completely dishonest, unprofessional, and disrespectful from start to finish. I referred Donnie a long-distance move for my clients, and from the very beginning it was a mess. He rushed through the phone call, failed to gather basic and necessary information, and quoted my clients $1,500, which turned out to be wildly inaccurate. When the movers actually showed up, the price magically jumped to $2,300 -- and even after paying that inflated amount, they still didn't move everything. My clients were forced to rent a U-Haul themselves just to finish the move. Absolutely unacceptable. Communication was nonexistent. At pickup, the movers couldn't even give a rough estimate of when the items would be delivered. My clients' belongings were left in limbo for days, and it took countless phone calls just to get a vague update on where their items were and when they might arrive. This level of disorganization is shocking for a company that claims to be professional. On top of all that, Donnie personally put in writing that I would receive a referral fee. When I followed up to resolve the issue professionally, he completely dodged responsibility -- ignoring messages, blocking my calls, and refusing to communicate at all. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about his character and how this company operates. I was told my concerns were "escalated to customer service," yet I've heard absolutely nothing since. No follow-up. No accountability. No resolution. This company is misleading, unreliable, and operates with zero integrity. They bait customers with low pricing, change terms last minute, and disappear when problems arise. They came recommended and I'd heard of them before, so I was comfortable with our choice. Pack day came and they showed up exactly on time. The crew of 3 was experienced and clearly knew what they were doing. They had our entire home packed in 3 hours. Move day came and we ran into some challenges. There were some floor scratches, wall dents and completely damaged furniture. The Branch Manager John came out himself halfway through the move to save the day and make sure everything was done well. I was really impressed. Let me just say that there was a alot that went wrong with this move. But it's moving. They're putting everything you own inside a box to drive down the road and carry it into a new place - something is bound to go wrong. And when I say this company should be judged not on the perfection of the execution but on how they made it right in the end, I mean it. They were there the next morning (on a Sunday) and had the hardwood floors fixed perfectly. The damaged piece of furniture was completely replaced very quickly by SCM, and the manager himself made TWO trips back to the house to address wall damage and tighten up some screws on a desk. I've moved all over the country, and I've used professional movers for all of the moves. Trust me when I say SOMETHING is likely to not go well. Every single time I'd choose a company I knew wasn't perfect, but that I TRUSTED to make it right in the end. Square Cow Moovers went WAY above and beyond what our contract required of them to leave me a happy customer. At the start the guys seemed cool, but as the move went on their attitude changed. They started complaining about how much stuff I had even though I did a full intake with them beforehand and we already agreed on a price. They even started insinuating I should go to an ATM to pay them more money, which made me feel uneasy and was unprofessional since the rate was already set. I moved into a brand new building where I'm only the 3rd person on my floor. A hallway light fixture was broken during the move and they told me they didn't do it. However, management knocked on my door later saying they have them on camera breaking the light and damaging the walls. On top of the building damage, my vanity was broken, some furniture was scratched, and the monitor for my work computer is broken. I've asked repeatedly for their insurance information so we can resolve this, but they aren't responding. I believe I've been blocked now because my messages are no longer going through.
