Omar filled in the details of the job to get us the right crew, and got us scheduled for the very next morning. Lorenzo and his team showed up early, communicated clearly, and holy wow did they work fast. In less than 90 minutes they moved what took our team 6 hours to do. AND they moved a fireproof safe by hand, with sheet strength and a good knowledge of physics. The cherry on top is the value - super-fair, plus a discount for booking through Yelp. I can't say enough good things about this company and their employees…read more Setting the appointment was a breeze and the move itself was flawless. Very nice workers, a strong work ethic and good manners. "Yes maam" goes a long way with me. AND the actual cost was significantly less than the quote I agreed to. Firehouse Movers is who I'll call with any future moves.

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. When they unpacked, they were very professional and efficient. To summarize, we had a great experience moving with Phoenix Express and I would highly recommend them for anyone to move with!

These guys worked nonstop and were very fast and efficient. The final bill came in less than the quote so I tipped them the difference along with a bit extra. Moving stinks, I generally hate it and hope that I won't need a moving company for a long time. However, if someone in the DFW area needs a moving company, I will not hesitate to recommend Phoenix Express.

**Caution to Future Customers**…read more I have previously used 2 Men and a Truck on three occasions, but my most recent experience was incredibly disappointing and far from the quality of service I once received. The team that handled my move appeared poorly trained and unprepared. I don't know of anywhere in the DFW metroplex that takes two hours to arrive, yet my move clock started at 8 AM, and they didn't show up to my condo until 9:58 AM. Upon their arrival, they disregarded the guidance provided by the building loadmaster, leading to numerous issues. My furniture was not wrapped properly or protected with blankets, which is standard practice for moving. They also failed to follow building rules by neglecting to line the floors with blankets or protect the walls while moving in and out of the condo and elevators, despite having signed documents acknowledging these standard operating procedures. Additionally, the movers carelessly transported items downstairs to the basement, leaning them against the walls without any padding. For instance, my television was placed directly against the wall, exposing it to potential damage. A move that should have taken no more than four hours ended up taking seven, and I was confronted with attempted upcharges, which I ultimately refused. After this distressing experience, I filed a claim but have faced nothing but frustration as their leadership has given me the runaround. I provided them with photos documenting the situation and have expressed that I have nothing further to add. Their management is aware that they packed my furniture for storage but has done nothing to address these issues. In my opinion, if a customer demonstrates that their equipment was not safely packed--and that a $4,000 TV and $6,000 worth of beds were treated carelessly--any responsible company would be eager to resolve the matter. Below, you'll find pictures illustrating the condition in which my condo was left and how my valuable furniture was treated. I strongly recommend seeking a different moving service. It is evident that this company has rapidly declined in quality.

All documentation was provided on time, and the movers arrived as scheduled. I had my items moved from Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, Texas in a POD. Unfortunately, my TV was damaged during the move (unclear if it was from the POD, but I doubt that since the TV was against the king size mattress). One of the movers later stated that he had noticed damage to the TV box when he unloaded the tv from POD but did not bring it to my attention at the time, which was very disappointing. However, the owner Joey, took the situation seriously and handled it with genuine empathy and accountability. I was extremely frustrated from the move (it's really a lot to handle) and Joey was kind and patient as he listed to me explain what happened. He suspended the team member involved, made it clear that he wanted to put the customer first, and worked with me to make things right. After I provided the original receipt for my TV, he sent me a check for its full original purchase price and did not waste time to go through insurance. I didn't buy additional insurance, so at most if Joey had went through insurance, I would have received $40/$50 back for my tv at $0.60/lb. He said he wanted to make sure we reached an agreement that felt fair. I truly appreciate Joey's customer first mindset. Although the damage was frustrating, I greatly appreciated how Joey responded. He's been in business for 25 years and stated that accidents happen and what he cares for the most is customer satisfaction. His integrity, compassion, and willingness to stand behind his company ultimately left me with a positive impression. The movers didn't arrive until 5:30 PM, with little to no communication throughout the day. We were left waiting and constantly had to call them ourselves just to get updates. The person answering the phone was minimally helpful and couldn't provide any clear information. Our move was only from a one-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom apartment just 8 miles up the road. It should not have taken as long as it did, and it certainly shouldn't have cost as much as it did. Overall, the lack of communication, extreme delay, and high cost made this a very frustrating experience. I expected much better service. I hate that we had to leave a 1-Star to post this.
