First off, as you'd expect with any movers you don't really have to touch a thing which is nice, but these guys are slow. For the $1700 I paid I didn't even get my entire house moved and am having to move the rest of my house myself and be aware if your outside a certain area they tack on a hefty fee. Also some of the furniture they moved was turned upside down or on its end and internals were a mess. We also had a cheap shoe rack that got bent up and had to be thrown away and we still can't find some of our cords and remotes, so we ended up purchasing replacements for those things. The guys were courteous and respectful overall, and thoroughly wrapped and blanketed needed items but man the value just wasn't there for me I'll definitely move myself next time. read more

My move was 3 months ago. The two movers sent were very courteous, but VERY slow. Twice they completely stalled out. One guy was taking so long prepping my bedroom furniture that my friend and I joked about him napping. I checked on him and mentioned how stressful moves are and that I was worried about it taking long and being very expensive. He sat, unmoving, and tried to engage me in a conversation. Dude, no! The other guy came to help him, so I was able to break away. A little while later, after no sighting of either guy in a while, I found them hanging out in and by their truck. They had arrived about two hours earlier, hadn't moved anything out and shouldn't have already need the extended break. The movers tried claiming that my friends, the men helping me move, were in their way, had created chaos, and slowed them down. My friends actually used a staircase at the other end of the breezeway and were careful to stay out of the way of the movers so as not to slow them down and cost me more money. My friends were moving all of my clothes, boxes, decor and smaller items from the apartment and garage leaving only the large, heavy lifting for the pros. My friends loaded a panel truck and two pickups, and unloaded everything at my new place which is an hour round trip away. In that time, the pros had not even taken down three large boxes, and the heavy furniture from my 1 bedroom apartment. How dare they blame someone else for their minimal productivity! Finally the movers loaded up and headed out. I sat waiting for them at the storage facility for well over an hour. After 45 minutes, I called to find out where they were and some lady said, "no idea", and would tell them to call me if she hears from them...?!?! After they arrived at the storage facility, one guy moved slow as hell while the other just stood in the back of the truck until I, in my boot cast with bruised ribs, angrily asked if I need to climb up there and help. In the meantime, my friends waited for close to two hours for us to arrive at the new place. Since I wasn't there to show them where to put my things, they eventually had to leave without helping me unpack. One guy realized they'd left my bed rails at the old place out in the breezeway. They stopped the clock and went back for them. They let me know when they got back that it took a bit longer because they had stopped to eat. I get it, but I was completely exhausted and couldn't shower and go to bed because I had to wait on them. Evolution doesn't hit you with a lot of extra charges as many moving companies do, and their hourly rate was in the low to mid range of the 5 companies I spoke to. To their credit, after I was badly injured from a bad fall two nights before my original move date, the man who arranged my move was genuinely concerned and let me reschedule without an additional charge. He was very accommodating with my new move date and morning time slot. After speaking with someone the day after my move, I was given a partial refund for the time charged while the movers were MIA and just standing around. The company provided good customer service, and satisfactorily addressed my concerns. The problem was the two frustratingly slow movers. I am getting up in the years and recently my damage done as a young man has all but ended anytime of physical labor. I used to help get my sons moved when they needed to and back then it meant I rented a truck and packed up their belongings and moved them. Today I can no longer do that. I looked online and the first listing was Evolution Moving, so I called them. I was so impressed with the simplicity and the no B.S. of how my phone call handled I booked the move. Then just out of curiosity I looked into a couple more movers, man what a game they all were playing. The three I called had quoted me for a one bedroom apartment moving less then 5 miles away was insane, the very lowest estimate was almost two thousand dollars with a real chance of being twice that. My son doesn't live like most, he only has a bed, computer center, small table with two chairs and like 6 to 7 small boxes of miscellaneous belongings. Anyhow Evolution quoted me flat rates that weren't even one eighth of the others starting quote. If like that wasn't enough the two men sent to do this work looked like body builders and spoke like they both had Masters degrees from college. I thought I was being punk and it was a joke that these massive intelligent man were going to move my son's stuff for me, then I realized just how professional they were and how serious they took their profession. They made everything look so easy and organized I had to start wondering why I never thought of having professional movers do this work for me in the past. I am pretty sure it would have cost me more just to rent a truck and it would have taken me three times as long with help to have done what they did in under two hours. I will never try moving anything myself ever again. I will be calling Evolution Moving. I would like to apologize for my ever shorten memory and not being able to recall the names of the two professional men that did this work for me, I will never forget what they did for me though. I recently used evolution movers to relocate from FT Worth to Round Rock and the two guys I had worked really fast. They packed up my one bedroom apartment in one hour and unpacked it in one hour as well. Very nice guys. The only thing I did not know about "tipping" is required. I assumed it was all included with my quote. I feel like I got a reasonable price for moving my one bedroom. Not cheap but compare to other companies it was reasonable. I found this company through a yelp search for moving quotes. Cameron reached out to me and gave me a quote. I told him that I had a piano and that I was thinking about getting a professional piano moving service independently from the rest of the house. Moving day came and four guys originally showed up, 3 guys remained and moved our belongings. They were friendly guys and worked hard. One of the guys reassured me that our piano would be fine and that they move them all the time. During the unloading period, we noticed that a few items got scratched up during the move, which is kind of expected... until we noticed the damage to our piano. They took pictures of the damage and then when they were leaving had me sign the contract. Cameron got in touch with me and was good at communicating through the entire process and offered reimbursement for damage and inconvenience. I would definitely recommend reviewing the contract and asking about insurance coverage before you move. read more

Sorry ya'll - I know I promise you a review, and this is overdue. Needed to move in-state about 15-20 minutes away from my old apartment. Originally had another company hired who also did a junk removal for me a week prior to move but after I went to review them on Yelp, I noticed a really low rating, so at the last minute decided I needed a new company (the former company is widely known, so I never bothered to check Yelp). After reaching out to a few companies on Yelp, Evolution responded immediately, and with their high rating on Yelp and extremely professional demeanor and straightforwad per-hour pricing, I decided to have them move me. The gentlemen who showed up were extremely professional and efficient and got me moved in about 4 hours tops. There was an issue with the ramp of their truck not working, so they had to lift up all furniture and boxes from the ground to the truck. Because of this, the owner came out as well to assist to save time, which was above and beyond. There was no damage to furniture and they staged furniture where I asked, as well as boxes. My bed is a bit of a pain in the butt to tear down/set up - but they had no problem doing it and were quick and efficient. In a heartbeat I would hire these folks again for my next move. read more

This was by far the BEST moving experience I have ever had. The entire process, from initial contact to obtain information on a quote to the completion of the move was absolutely seamless. I was initially debating between this company and another moving company, and I am so thankful that I went with Evolution Moving. What solidified my decision were the reviews that talked about the demeanor of the employees (considerate and hard-working) as well as my interaction with the gentleman who talked with me on the phone and gave me the quote. My quote was well prepared based off of the items I needed to be moved; it was very accurate and I appreciated how exact they wanted to be in the number of crew members and number of trucks that were needed. Thomas, Lorenzo, Mikey and Terrence were assigned as my crew. They each worked extremely well together; not a single person was ever standing around. They were either loading/unloading, cleaning up after themselves, or helping each other out. Each of them had a great, hard-working attitude and seemed to enjoy their job but also take it seriously.
