We also had a cheap shoe rack that got bent up and had to be thrown away and we still can't find some of our cords and remotes, so we ended up purchasing replacements for those things. The guys were courteous and respectful overall, and thoroughly wrapped and blanketed needed items but man the value just wasn't there for me I'll definitely move myself next time.

Four young men and two 26' trucks showed up right on time and worked nonstop at an extremely rapid pace to load up extremely heavy furniture and oversized belongings in 3-4 hours (including elevator time) . When they got to the new home, it was about half the time to unload, hook up appliances, and rearrange furniture I requested a couple of times. Omar filled in the details of the job to get us the right crew, and got us scheduled for the very next morning. Lorenzo and his team showed up early, communicated clearly, and holy wow did they work fast. In less than 90 minutes they moved what took our team 6 hours to do. AND they moved a fireproof safe by hand, with sheet strength and a good knowledge of physics. The cherry on top is the value - super-fair, plus a discount for booking through Yelp. Hawk claims "pre-existing damage," yet they have produced no photos showing my furniture in my prior home to support this. They also damaged my son's bedroom furniture - not as expensive, but possibly beyond repair - and it upset him deeply to see his room left that way. I did, in frustration, remark that I "shouldn't have let my wife book the move," and I regret saying that. The truth is I approved the decision and take responsibility for choosing Hawk. The only thing I said to their crew was: "Is there a single piece that you didn't damage?" My experience stands, the damage was extensive, the liability payout is meaningless, and Hawk's response only reinforces the problem.
