We hired a crew of 4 men to move boxes from a business to a storage facility. We had 2 storage units that need re-organization and the existing boxes incorporated. I was given a text and a call before they arrived. (I was given a 2 hour window and they were on-time) I explained where to bring the truck to start the move and met them out back for the pick up. I can't begin to thank AB Moving for the professional, efficient, and the clean up when finished with the job. This team was Zeke and I highly recommend them for a great move. They gave me the run around (first they said that they would fix it) and then they stopped responding to texts and calls altogether. I hired AB moving due to the fact that they said they can pack and move. I told them i was hurt and quit packing my apartment halfway through and they said that was not a problem. They arrived on time, and seemed to be professional. The living room was full of the boxes I had packed and I went back to the bedroom to pack what I was able to while they were moving the packed boxes out. They were to pack the pots, pans and dishes in the kitchen along with the appliances. They were at my 1 bedroom apartment from 0800 to 1 pm "packing". When they came for the bed I noticed none of the appliances were packed. They acted shocked when said,.everything needs to go, im moving totally out. Went back to working on the bedroom and came back out and the counters were clear and they asked if I had wrapping paper, which I did but they packed it up. They had taken such a long time my internet installation time was coming due. They said they only had another 15 min and they should be done and it was ok to go. I got to my new house 40 miles away before they left. I also had to meet them at a storage facility to drop off a few items. Once that was done, I assumed they were going to follow me to the house, I made a left turn, they went right and took almost 20 min to get to the house that was .5 miles away. They unloaded fairly quickly and were gone. I starred to look for some items that I absolutely couldn't locate. I had to go back to the apartment to make sure it was ready for the cleaners, it was not even close. NONE of the pots, pans, dishes silverware were even touched. The closet by the bathroom still had a bunch of towels and tools in it, the coat closet hadn't been touched and they just piled all of the heavy trash bags in the corner.amd the main closet was still half full. If this us what they call packing it is tbe worst I have seen! Waiting on a return call from their customer service. Not really satisfied. Nice enough guys. Packers worked well and quickly but did pack some stuff we had asked them not to. They wrapped EVERYTHING in plastic, some of it unnecessarily, and we were charged for the material. The movers worked a little slowly, and of course the rate is hourly. Several damaged items--we find more every day that we unpack--and the reimbursement policy is so meager that it really isn't worth filing a claim. Some storage was shattered, wooden furniture was gouged, and the walls in the new home were scratched by their dollies. Total cost was well over the estimate. I've used this company for my last three moves and had previously recommended them to others because those experiences were outstanding--professional, careful, efficient crews who were kind and clearly took pride in their work. Unfortunately, my most recent move in October was a complete departure from that. This time, the crew was rude, lazy, and unprofessional. They took their time--intentionally dragging the move out by carrying one item at a time once they realized how quickly it was going. They took an extended bathroom break at my old apartment (nearly 20 minutes), broke a large planter with my ficus tree in it, and most upsettingly, damaged my TV and then tried to claim it had already been broken. I had documented everything before the move, so I knew that wasn't true. They offered to pay me off the record, but we couldn't agree on a fair amount. To top it off, I was charged double what I've paid in the past--$800 for a one-bedroom to one-bedroom move (first floor), when my previous moves never exceeded $400. I was shocked by how much the service has declined. Sadly, I won't be using this company again. It's clear something has changed, and not for the better. I had the worst experience with this company. It took them waaaaay to long to move a few items. I had almost all my stuff moved to my new place just needed my heavy items moved and it took them 4 hrs to load the truck but only 30 mins to unload! They put plastic wrap on almost everything big or small to waste time and on top of that one guy was to busy on the phone to even focus on working. It cost me almost 800$ for them to play with my time. Then it started to rain and they wanted stop but still run my time! My washer is BROKEN even with all the plastic wrap that was used. I was told to get a washer and a hose and it would fix my problem and I did that and it still does not work and I was also told to contact my apartment Maintenance men to help fix my washer but they didnt break it!!! read more

I thought their pricing was reasonable (comparatively). Unfortunately, they damaged several items. After they left, I noticed several pieces of furniture with deep scratches. They also damaged the heating element in my dryer. The appliance repairman said that it was damaged by movement/shaking. It worked prior to my move and did not work after. They had to have damaged it. I filed a claim but they denied it - said they are not responsible for any damages. I'm considering filing in small claims but at this point it will just be a matter of principle. If you don't care about your property, then they're great. If you do care, then I would look elsewhere. I misunderstood the trip fee so letting others know the trip fee is for gas and materials etc. on top of the hourly. Third time is a charm. We recently moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house and once again we called upon AB Moving to assist. They did not disappoint. They were on time and took very good care of our belongings. We did not find one cracked dish or scratch/chipped/broken piece of furniture. They took their time and took very good care of our belongings. The move in total took 5 1/2 hours, which might seem like a lot, but it was also pouring down raining. We also had some very heavy pieces of furniture including a full size sofa bed, and large sectional with a pull-out center and an adjustable frame king size bed, with an extremely heavy mattress to match. They handled all with care. They assisted with putting our bed back together and setting our dryer and dryer back up. They made sure not to track any of the rain mud or dirt into our new home. What dirt they tracked in, the cleaned up themselves. Thank you AB Moving once again for your great service. I used them 2x. First time was good, second time I was scammed. The gay convinced me to do it off the books after the minimum hours were met. He and the other guys proceeded to disappear for 45 minutes at a time. It took them nine hours to move a one bedroom apartment less than a half a mile away. Also, him saying it was off the books and cheaper... Not the case and they wanted a tip on top of that. They even disappeared with my fob. It took one guy six hours to move a 5 x 5 storage unit, I would absolutely never recommend this company. The thing that sucks about movers is they wait till they have all of your stuff in their truck and then they take their time so they can charge you more... When I brought up my concerns, the mover was very rude and unprofessional, yelling at me publicly in the parking lot. During the move, they made several inappropriate comments about my having a husband or boyfriend, which I ignored because I just need the moving job done. They over charged me, they took WAY too long to move me RIGHT DOWN THE STREET, and they had the audacity to leave an entire bathroom and closet full of boxes behind as well as other items they informed me they would not carry (plants). I should've checked the yelp reviewed versus google because this is a dishonest company. Claims has not helped. I used AB Moving in late January to move. I have two big screen TV's. I paid extra for boxes for the TV's based on their size. When the crew arrived one of the TV's was too big to fit in a box so they wrapped it in a blanket. The other TV did fit into the box they brought and was packed by the moving crew. When everything was delivered the big TV was fine but the TV that was boxed by their crew was damaged and a total loss. They offered me $100 for the loss even though a replacement 65" TV cost me $1,500. I am now told that sense I did not buy additional insurance that they are not responsible. All through the process of getting a quote and signing an agreement nothing was ever mentioned about needing to buy insurance to cover their negligence. I used AB Moving for the first time and the movers explained everything and everything was perfect. The second time, they broke my TV and took items that I questioned were mine and said that it wasn't, and it was. They took pics of my TV being on top of my couch in storage and said that was how it broke and never took pics of the actual broken TV to prove it was broken. They just wrapped it up in cellophane. They had 3 movers who constantly harassed me about getting a tip by complaining that it is cold outside but came dressed in shorts and no gloves. When I did a claims report, they send me pics saying I had no wheels for my AV cart, after I questioned why I only received 3 out of 4 wheels given to me. They told me they would pay for the charges if found liable because of their contract and then said my contract said they didn't have to. I am also going to the BBB to try to get my money back from the broken TV and AV cart missing wheel. I sent a message to them, and no one responded. Because my stuff was in storage, I had to be at the elevators to enter in the code to give access to my unit and to open the front gate when it locked because their truck couldn't fit. They never communicated anything was wrong. They are indeed thieves as I have a lot of missing items. And when I asked to look at the truck I saw boxes and bags and when I asked if they were mine, they got upset saying it was trash. read more

We contacted AB Moving and they made the thief return the thermostat but my client had to pay for the damage and reinstallation. Now AB Moving will not respond to our attempts to get a reimbursement for the $723 my client had to pay for damages left by AB Moving's thieving employee. They were to store my belongings and, from pictures that the crew took when they retrieved my items, everything was shoved into a couple of very small containers and multiple items of mine were damaged. Due to their sneaky methods, there was no recourse for me as they only pay for damage by weight. They also charged me for all the time it took for the crew delivering to my new home in Dallas as they had to rewrap everything to get it delivered back to me. I have used AB Moving company twice in the past and this was my third time using their service. The previous two times I worked with AB were very positive, which is why I have recommended them to friends and decided to choose them for my recent move. However, I will never use AB again. My story is detailed below, and I hope that this helps anyone out there who is in the process of choosing a moving company. My move date was two weeks ago, and I am appalled by not only the issue I had during the service, but more importantly how the company has yet to respond to me and handle my request for a one-hour refund due to the issue I had that day. My moving window was 8 am - 10 am and the team showed up at 9:45 to get started. The movers packed things up quickly which was great and we were ready to head up north within 50 min - 1 hour. I was quoted about 2-3 hours max for this move, and we could have absolutely done the entire thing in 2 hours. My move was 45 minutes north, the movers had the correct address of the storage unit printed out on paper. We left my condo at the same time and headed up north, and I unfortunately waited at my storage unit entrance for an entire hour. About 30 minutes into me waiting, I called the movers and it seems he just put in the street address, not taking into account the city, so he ended up somewhere in a residential neighborhood about 20 minutes away from my storage unit (even though he knew we were heading to a storage unit) and literally just sat there, without trying to call me or reach me. Then we went through a series of sending pin locations to each other so that I could understand where he was, and he could understand where I was. It was majorly confusing and inconvenient and what is worse is that he had a horrible attitude about it. He hung up on me twice, and meanwhile, the AB moving clock was running along... $$$. For all I know, these guys were either on a joy ride or decided to stop for lunch and work the clock. By the time they arrived, he said maybe two words to me because I guess he was mad about his own mistake. He ended up knocking 15 minutes off of the price, which was ridiculous considering how long I waited. His team got everything from the truck into my storage unit within 10 minutes, so again the entire thing could have been done in 2 hours. I closed everything out with him and even gave his team a small tip because I didn't want him to do anything crazy and I decided I would take up the logistical issues with the AB moving company itself to process the one-hour refund. I called the company and verbally gave my review to them saying that I needed a supervisor to call me back asap to discuss. This was two weeks ago and I still have not heard a thing. What is even worse/hilarious is that AB proceeded to send me a series of emails asking me to leave a review and I definitely let them have it each time. Still, NO response!! So here I am letting the public know the level of service this company will provide should you choose to go with them. They have really gone downhill. read more

I have used AB Movers in the past, but this time I was highly unsatisfied. The movers told me they were third-party contractors for AB Moving. They pulled up in an unmarked truck. They did not have the proper equipment and moving blankets to do the job. The wrapped some of my living room furniture in plastic wrap because they were rushed. They took a very long time to make the move and seemed to have a hard time packing and unpacking their truck. Low and behold, I discovered they damaged my tv console and my coffee table. They were NOT going to mention it to me. I could not believe that! So, I was forced to pay for the service which took way too long after having furniture damaged leaving it unusable! I was told to pay or I would be committing theft! So, I paid and was promised they would make it right. Also, the main mover was making it a point to let me know they get paid very little and they basically work for tips. That's low class and tacky to beg for tips while not doing your job correctly. They did not put my boxes in the correct rooms even though they were all marked. Today, I get a notice from the company that they will pay me $150.00 for my furniture damage. That is totally unacceptable. This is the biggest rip off I have experienced in a long time. I am disputing the charge on my credit card.
