First of all, the movers that were sent out were completely incompetent and took almost 6 hours to move a fully packed 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house with no appliances. The cost was over $800 dollars, and the owner, Devin, acknowledged that the movers were not ready to be on their own and had all but one been fired, but refused any compensation for their inability to move us efficiently. Secondly, the movers did major damage to both my new furniture and my new wood floors; and although Devin was working with us on this for a while, he stopped answering emails and phone calls over a month ago when the furniture "repair" he had done damaged it further, and he was unable to fix gouges in my floor with a marker pen. read more

STAY AWAY!!! How to Pay a Company to Turn NEW furniture into WORTHLESS furniture! ZERO INTEGRITY!! DO NOT PAY IF BELONGINGS DAMAGED. I followed the instructions given for a "claim" and sent all the requested info after the move and because I paid, I was never contacted again- blocked. Setting my appointment was quick and easy- the move was not! I was charged an hourly rate AND a fuel charge- I moved from one building to the other. 50 feet apart. Never started or used the truck. I was very specific about my furniture, which was new from RTG 9 months ago (you know how you can return any item to RTG if there is the smallest imperfection). "Please take legs of sofa and recliner and please take dining room table apart before moving" I walked the dog and found my dining room table wedged...stuck in my new apartment's door way-not taken apart as requested. Scratched and damaged on each and every end, leg, supporting pieces. A $1200.00 dining room table ruined. Ironically, as I am trying to asses the damage and repair of my dining room table I realize my recliner is almost falling over- The back legs have been torn off (not taken off like I asked) as they also forced them through the door and my recliner was propped up. Only when I was to sit in it was I to know the legs had been torn off, the bolt and nut stripped from the wood. Granted they somehow tried to fix it by stuffing wood chips into stripped out bolt hole in the bottom of the recliner. None of the dresser doors line up anymore or stay closed. One guy "believed" he could carry an 8ft dresser down a flight of stairs by himself- He tried and only my furniture suffered because he really couldn't. I did pay the requested amount plus the fuel charge- the guys were very upset that I didn't tip. I asked them if there was anything else and who I needed to contact to file a claim and they basically ran out the door once the money was in their hand, ignoring me and my questions and jumped into their truck and quickly sped off. After repeatedly seeing all this damage, I was in my original apartment and noticed the front door- the edges of the door were stripped of paint. I immediately ran down the stairs and across the street to my new place- my leather sofa- the back edge, which was placed against the wall where I couldn't see... is completely shredded through the leather where the wood frame is actually visible. At no time did either "mover" inform me of any damage and the did their best to hide it. A quick run down- Leather recliner- to get the legs repaired- $200 Leather sofa- not repairable 2 Nightstands- drawers wont close- frame twisted chest of drawers- edges damaged Dresser -door and drawers wont close-frame twisted King size bed frame- loose and cant tighten back Dining room table- unrepairable The ONLY thing not damaged were the coffee and end tables. $9000.00 new 9 months ago- valued at $1500.00 now? What would you pay for a recliner that may fall over if you recline? A leather couch with a shredded back, a black dining room table with long scratches of white and wood burns? Bedroom furniture whos door and drawers wont close? This move took place a few weeks ago and this is only NOW being posted as I was told "we will take care of you". They have not. I've not gotten a call back, and email returned and each number I call goes straight to voicemail- which we all know equals "blocked" Sadly- many people will fall victim to this company. I've had my share of bad service from a moving company and I had a few good experiences too, but nothing compares to the experience I had with Best Move in DFW. The owners, Rick and Vicky, were hands on from the beginning. Rick was able to give me a quote for hourly rates as well as for an itemized move a month in advance of my move. All of my information requests through email were answered swiftly. Moving day was a breeze thanks to Matt and his assistant. I was really expecting a crew where maybe one guy spoke broken English and comprehension was nonexistent. Matt and his assistant were local guys that had no trouble following any directions. The guys worked quickly and efficiently and moving all my belongings from my rented apartment to my new condo in 2 hours. All without breaking or damaging a thing. They were by far the most professional moving crew I have ever hired. Kudos to Rick and Vicky for running a great moving company. Was contracted to do repairs at a customer residence after Best Move DFW...Did repairs as instructed, try to get paid, no return call or text. Call the company directly and was told some kind of BS about it being sold bla blah blah, same # I called to book is same # I tried to collect from, no dice. I used Best Move in DFW almost 2 years ago, and was pleasantly surprised when they completed my 1 bedroom apartment move in less than two hours with no major hiccups or issues. So when it came time to move again recently, I contacted them again, along with about 5 other national and local companies. Once again, they quoted me a rate almost half of what the "big guys" did, and worked with my very limited time frame--I only had about a 4 hour window on one of two days I could make the move. They (Josh and Chris?) went WAY above and beyond to get my furniture into a difficult second-story apartment. The whole move was done in less than 3 hours, and once again I was impressed with the attitudes and quality of service. Rick responded to all of my email inquiries quickly and gave me options on the estimating (an hourly rate vs an itemized list). I used their online quote option at first. I heard back within a couple hours and was pretty pleased with the price. In my email I was told there was also hourly rates (as opposed to estimating based on actual items). After a short explanation of the type and amount of stuff I had to move I was directed towards the hourly rates. The movers ran slightly late because I was their second move of the day but they called me to let me know and make sure that it wasn't going to be a problem. When they showed up they were very courteous and they moved my stuff very efficiently. I was still packing my last few boxes when they showed up and I was comfortable enough with them that I didn't feel the need to supervise any of the move out at all. I haven't moved yet but I called and their quote is well-below what I've been quoted by other movers. And...there is no fuel surcharge?! That's amazing! I actually asked the lady twice who scheduled my move and she said its $90/hr. Period. No fuel surcharge and no other fees. Is this too good to be true! I look forward to updating my review after my move on June 7! Post-Move: Well, I have to say this was the easiest move I have ever had. Eddie and Josh showed up on time and I was their first move of the day (out of 3!). They worked quickly, were careful with my items, and finished under the estimated time. I coudln't be more please with my experience! I will also tell you I had water and snack available at both ends of the move and brought lunch from Sonic which may have helped also! Caveat emptor: Broke some fine furniture, denied responsibility for the damage and said their insurance was only 60 cents on the pound rather than the full coverage they had claimed in the sales pitch. Required that packing/unpacking services be handled by Uptown Butler, who left most of the unpacking to the customer, finished the job three days late and ignored the lost-property claim (one item was seen being carried off by an employee). read more

I have moved many times and I have used many other moving companies. My friends had used this company in the past and highly recommended them. I was optimistic at first. But I have to say my experience with this company has been stress free. They were professional, quick, very well organized and prepared. No items was broken or misplaced which is a good thing. Booked these guys for October 17th 2015, chose the 5-7 pm window. They did call around 11 am to see if they could come at noon, but we could not make that time work, so we all agreed to keep the move for the original window. Around 4 they called, and said the place they were at was bigger than expected, so they would call us when they were close to being done. Got to be 8 pm, so we called them, said it should only be another 2 hours, we said that is fine because we really needed our stuff moved that day. 10:45 still no call, so we called again said that they couldn't come until midnight or 1, we again said okay because like we stated we really needed this done, so around 1:45 we tried to call, and at that time were ignored. I would have been less upset if he would have just said that there was no way to get it done that night, and offered me something as early as possible the next day, but instead he chose to continue to lie to us. read more

I called these guys very last minute and they were able to get me an appointment last minute. I cannot express how impressed I am with them! Josh was awesome! They were ahead of schedule and called to see if they could come out early. They came earlier than my time slot and were absolutely awesome. My situation was a bit unique because they were moving my apartment in to 2 U-Pack relo cubes. It was a game of Tetris and they killed it. Super efficient and incredibly nice. They kept me at ease while I was freaked out my stuff wouldn't fit. They got it done in an hour and a half! Use these guys for your next move!! read more

Very unprofessional. These movers showed up over 2 hours late when I was assured they would be there at the 8 am spot I had reserved. Not only were they late, but I had no phone call/email informing me they would be late. I called several times until someone finally answered at 930 saying they were on their way. No apology, nothing. After arrival, there was no sense of urgency. The movers stood around texting for 5 minutes for every 5 minutes they moved something. We also noticed several marks on the wall from them moving furniture that we had to pay for. After explaining this to the owner, I essentially got a "Too bad, you're SOL" response. This is a moving company with no customer service, I would not recommend them. Do not be fooled by their lower rate, they will take twice as long to do things and will not own up to their mistakes. read more
