Please do not use t&j movers terrible company first they used a U-Haul to do the moving if they were reputable they wouldn't have had to get a U-Haul secondly they didn't even bring half the stuff that we asked them to when we went back to the apartment they were still boxes left that were supposed to have been brought to the new house they didn't even bring the cushions off the couch she didn't even get her clothes and then when I tried to call the owner about it he wouldn't even own up to anything or try to fix a problem this is terrible company please do not use them read more

I needed help unpacking a POD after moving across the country. Other moving companies were 120+ per hour and required a 3hour minimum, which is ridiculous when you have a 1br apartment... these guys had a 2 hr minimum and the pricing was good. They were done in less than an hour and even helped me place rugs and furniture (would have been difficult on my own). They were flexible and on time. I actually had to change their start time due to a work call and they were able to accommodate. Extremely friendly and efficient. They treated all of my belonging a with care and respect. I'm so glad I checked Yelp after the Uhaul site kept giving me errors. I HIGHLY recommend these guys and next time I move in Dallas, I'll be calling them again! read more

Do not use this moving company! I referred TJ Movers to one of my friends in attempt to help and they broke his furniture and left a hole in the wall after moving the washer. The movers were incredibly unprofessional on moving day. A few days later, I attempted to resolve issue with company owner and he lied and said he would fix it, then never showed up. Spare yourself the stress and don't trust this company. Terrible customer service but even worse, terrible moving service! The owner tried to call my friend a liar and blindly defended his crew even though they've shown clear tracts of unprofessionalism throughout our customer experience. We would have been better off doing it by ourselves complaints are not heard or documented. I doubt they even have insurance because they offered no resolutions to very big mess ups. Called 2 hours before they were to show up at my house and cancelled. He states his truck was broken into and he could not do the job. Not a backup plan, not nothing!! We moved across country and TJ said they could help us unload our U-Haul. Waited all evening and never showed. Finally at 9 pm he texted to give excuse abt why his movers were busy and didn't take responsibility. Seems like a nice guy but we had to unload a whole truck by ourselves. Not good. read more

So I called TJ bc my dad was in a bind. He was getting his floors tiled but the team couldn't disassemble the huge antique bed, the ergo mattress frame, and the massage chair. They said they could do it but couldn't guarantee that they wouldn't break it. My dad then opted to pay for professionals to come out of his own pocket, better safe than sorry. When I called TJ and explained the situation to him, he literally showed up at my dads house within the hour with his partner and completed the task flawlessly. Everything was wrapped up real nice and placed into the garage. They broke down the bed and the frame with the necessary tools and hauled it out to the garage as well. The bed itself took about an hour to break down bc of its nature and all the screws, it was very intricate and tedious. They charged us a very fair price, well worth it. They will be back to reassemble the pieces once the floors are done. I would definitely recommend them and use them again for sure! read more

10/10 recommend Will for all your moving needs. Will was able to fit my move in on short notice, quote me over the phone and brought all necessary supplies. Will is an excellent communicator and let me know any changes in eta via text message. Will + one worker were able to move an entire living room + two bedrooms (+a 20 minute commute and two flights of stairs) in under two hours. They made easy work out of moving my very large, rounded glass antique china hutch up two flights of stairs, all with a good sense of humor. Will provides a low stress approach to moving, which is a blessing! He is flexible with payment methods (Venmo, credit, etc). Wills professional approach to moving helped alleviate a lot of stress for me. I highly recommend him for all your moving needs! read more

The best moving company I've worked with. I was in a crunch and needed a company, and I called to talk to the owner specifically. He was so fast and willing to work with me not being in town, and was flexible with my demands. He asked questions on my move and the price was fair. While I was a out of town he sent me updates of photos, and I felt like he cared for my needs. William & Tony arrived a little late but gave ample notice they were running behind so it was no problem. Upon arrival we did a walk through of what was to be loaded. They got right to work and make quick work of everything. William even took the time to tighten the legs on my sofa and to see him lift and carry out my love seat and sofa by himself was impressive. I appreciate that they didn't try to run the clock like some movers do. They were very efficient, fast and hard working. I will DEFINITELY recommend and use their services again!! read more

They left me and my family stranded without movers! I found this business as I searched for Black Owned movers to support. I read the great reviews and decided to inquire. I called and got an immediate response. I got a quote from Mr. William Proctor and scheduled my move for one week later. The night before the move i received a confirmation text from Mr. Proctor. We were all set for 2p the next day. At 9a I received a text saying he could come early. I responded that anytime after 12:30 would be great due to me working. At 1:30 I received a text that the crew would be late.No ETA was given. At 3 I received a text that it would be another 1.5 hour because the move before me underestimated the time they needed the movers. We didn't have another option so we waited. I text at 4:30 no response. A friend called and he answered immediately. He told her that he would be make it to my place by 5. At 5 I text to ask for an ETA. He didn't have one. He text that he was waiting to hear from his movers. At 7 I text that my family and I were still waiting. He text and said he was out trying to find the movers. I didn't understand why they weren't communicating with him and he had to find them. He then text back and said that they were in an accident and he was heading that way. That was the last I heard from Mr. Proctor. No phone call to apologize. No phone call to reschedule the move. No phone call to just be professional. My family and I were stranded. I was left trying to find other movers. I sincerely doubt the "accident" story. Either way, I didn't recieve a call. I do not recommend this business. I see your responses from other critical reviews. Please don't respond that you are confused. Please don't respond that you don't know what I'm talking about. They looked at the storage and said we'll be done in 3 hours. And like clockwork, they were done in 3 hours. I'll definitely use them again if I move. I do not recommend using this company. The movers gave me an estimation and tried to retract the previous estimation close to moving date and did not arrive on time. When it was time to move my items, they were a no-call no-show and were extremely hard to get ahold of via text and phone call. Whether the moving job is big or small, I do not recommend using this company. It may be a small business but as they say, "the money is in the follow up" and they definitely were lacks in the area of communication and promptness. read more

These guys can do anything. I needed three 2 post car lifts moved and they said they could do it. I was dubious that two guys could move 6 posts that weighed 1000 lbs each, but they did it for a great price. TJ was super friendly, helpful and communicative.
