They promised the moving job will be done in 4-5 hours but these movers guys are just doing damn slow while TJ-the owner did absolutely nothing in the truck. If you are looking for a moving company anytime soon, I would highly suggest avoiding Apollo Strong Moving based in Arlington. Again, if possible, please DO NOT USE Apollo Strong Moving company. While the moving team (T and Q) did a commendable job handling my belongings with care (they did the best they could), I cannot overlook the significant discrepancy between the estimated (4-5 hours) and the actual hours (13.5 hours) for the move. I feel like I got scammed, like really. The initial estimate was misleading, and it felt like an attempt to secure more hours and inflate the cost. As a moving company with many years of experience, you would think they can estimate how long it would take, how many men and how big of a truck we would need to move a 4-bedroom house with full furniture + patio stuffs. TJ, aka the driver/manager/owner, kept blaming me that they don't know how much stuffs I have before the move. As a customer, first time moving from house to house, I can't wrap my head around how big of a 25ft truck, 35ft truck or even 40ft truck, and how much stuff can fit in each truck, and how many men I would need for the move. It's part of my fault, I guess, because I was too naive to trust them. TJ wasn't professional, all he did was saying it over and over that I booked a 2-man job and that was my fault... but man, if they know what they were doing, they would have suggested a 3 or 4 men for this job. Summary: Be careful using this company. Showed up on time, but broke the LCD on our television. Contacted the owner, furnished pictures, model of TV, picture of serial plate and details about the device as they requested. Upon first discussion with owner regarding the damaged item, refused to offer us anything except the absolute minimum insurance claim (about $20). Basically informed us that it was our fault the television broke in their truck because we didn't take precautions. A "too bad, so sad" attitude. After we spoke several times, owner then agreed to help our family replace the broken item - only then to stall, call us back, change their mind, and tell us they would only give us a portion of the previous amount they agreed to. Company then pressured us to sign a document to hush about the situation and not share our poor experience with others. My recommendation to those moving in the DFW area would be to use a different moving company. Apollo Strong broke our flat screen television and made the moving process far more stressful than it needed to be. read more

We used Apollo Strong Moving for my mother's move from Fort Worth to Dallas and were very pleased with their services. They had the biggest truck of everyone we called and were able to fit all of her furniture on one trip. Once the move began, I was relieved of much anxiety I had about the move. The furniture was heavy and there were lots of antiques and keepsakes. Some of the furniture had been in my family for several generations and my mother was very concerned with how they were going to be cared for by the movers. She was not disappointed. Our biggest concern was my great-great-grandmothers piano from the 1920s. We had no problems. Nothing was broken. No damage to the piano. The price was very reasonable and cheaper than several other moving companies we contacted. I have probably moved over 20 times since 1987. My last two moves were absolutely disastrous!!! One company (charged by the hour) took a total of 9 hours to move a one bedroom apartment 11 miles away, damaged the walls in the new apartment, and lost the bolts to my bed. The other company (flat rate) didn't wrap my furniture and threw boxes everywhere, whether it said "fragile" or not, and would not move an item unless it was in a box. Why would you put an ironing board in a box??? Really??? This was by far my best experience moving ever! The guys were very professional at all times. They took time to wrap my furniture, organize boxes and furniture for two different locations, and also managed to fit most of my belongings in a storage facility that I thought was too small. I would like to thank TJ and Calen for making a very stressful and difficult situation into a great moving experience!!! I give them five stars, two thumps up and you know the rest. I was organizing a large move out of state. I got a quote from a moving company I used before, and it was totally out of my range. I then reconciled myself to renting 2 26-ft. UHaul trucks and driving them myself with a friend. While looking for people on-line in Arlington to help load the trucks, I came across the website for Apollo Strong Moving. I wrote them, telling them roughly how much I had to move (I had things in 3 storage warehouses, plus what was left in the house and yard), including a concert grand piano, and what I wanted to pay for the move. TJ came out and looked at everything and said he could do it for that price (which, BTW, was about half of what the first moving company quoted). We then realized that his 53ft. truck was not going to be able to make it to my destination house in the mountains, and that he'd have to stage the truck in a nearby shopping parking lot, and shuttle our stuff to the site in a 26ft. UHaul truck, so we adjusted the price for that and came to an agreement. TJ's wife, Shanisse kept in contact with us as the moving date approached, and their guys met me right on time the first day of the move at my first storage warehouse, and proceeded to quickly and efficiently get it packed on the truck, followed by the other 2 warehouses (which they used a smaller truck to pick up, due to space restrictions for the large truck). Their packing of our household furniture and items was exceptionally careful, and they (thanks Ricky!) disconnected our washer, dryer and refrigerator, as well as disassembled the Ikea bed. All of them responded to any requests or questions in a very upbeat and professional manner. They really worked hard all of both long days getting everything ready and loaded up. They worked in concert with a local piano mover to get the big piano packed up, and then secured on their truck. In the end, despite TJ's masterful packing of the 53ft truck to the rafters, we still couldn't quite get all of the belongings on the main truck. So I rented a 15ft truck to drive to the new site myself, and Wesley helped me pack that truck for me before we left. TJ and his crew arrived right on schedule at our new destination, unloaded the 15ft truck and then we rented the 26ft truck to shuttle back and forth from the big rig staging point to the house site. It took a day and half to unpack everything at the house, and again they worked tirelessly. The last thing to get offloaded was the grand piano, and they had their hands full with that! But even though they were in a hurry to get to Atlanta to catch their flight, they still exercised the utmost care in making sure it was done right. The thought that I could load up 2 trucks myself and get them packed anything like TJ's crew did is laughable in hindsight! I'm so glad that I found these guys, without them I can't imagine the move happening. I can't recommend TJ and his company enough - not only did he work as hard as his guys, but he really did a great job overseeing the schedule, with complex plans to fly his guys to the site, etc., and getting everything there on the scheduled time. read more

I must say I was very pleased with the service Apollo Strong provided me. On move day I got a call saying they were going to be late because of a truck malfunction. I was a little upset however I was told they would keep in contact with me. I was only a bit upset because I had other deliveries set up for the afternoon. I got a call around 10am saying the parts truck hadnt come yet so they were going to rent a truck and be on their way. When they arrived they got to work immediately. They had our home packed and on the road in about 1 hour. Total move took 2 hours 30 minites and the price was unbelievable. None of our furniture was scratched and nothing was broken. Our movers were very friendly and had a great sense of humor. My parents are going to use them for any future moves. Way to go Apollo! read more

Two months ahead of time, we set an appointment with Apollo Strong Moving (A.S.M.) to move our two-bedroom apartment at about sun-up on the Sunday morning that our old lease ended and our new lease began. Because my wife was expecting our second child, our extended family were not in the best health for hard work, I was still recuperating from hip injuries, and we had a 3-year-old in the mix (and this would take place at the height of North Texas summer), we also hired A.S.M. to pack everything and to provide all materials to that end. Almost weekly for those two months, we received confirmations via phone and e-mail and were constantly assured that there would be about six experienced, trusted workmen. On the morning of the move, the appointed time came and went, and there was no answer to our calls. Ninety minutes later, we received a phone call that there was "a little problem"-- exactly what, A.S.M. refused to divulge-- but they were working on in and would arrive within half an hour (despite the moving site being over an hour from their location). That time passed, and the same scenario ensued. At 2.5 hours past the appointment, A.S.M. answered our call and said their truck broke down and defied diagnosis by their mechanic, which we later learned was the guy who owns it. They said they were diligently working to secure a retail/do-it-yourself truck but that none were proving available in all of DFW at such short notice, but they would keep us apprised. Smelling a deal gone very bad, we began our own search and secured a truck within minutes. We advised A.S.M. that we secured the truck and would be deducting 125% its cost + gas from the moving bill, and we then learned that A.S.M. were only searching for trucks twice the necessary size and about 15 miles northeast of Fort Worth; we were moving within (from and to) Johnson county over 25 miles south of Fort Worth. They made apologies and said they would be there within an hour. ...And asked if we still needed boxes. If so, they would send someone ahead in a car with a backseat stuffed with some, as soon as they could buy an undefinable quantity. Thankfully, we had the foresight to buy boxes and a dolly when we got the truck. At 3.5 hours past the appointment, our S.O.S. broadcast to family, friends, and church members reaped half a dozen greatly appreciated, last-minute helpers who were feverishly working to pack everything we owned. We placed another call to A.S.M. They had yet to leave their location as they were trying to roundup their laborers, none of which were answering their phones. Undaunted, A.S.M. said they were preparing to hire day laborers in their stead-- an assurance I as a customer with breakables and valuables of both sentimental and intrinsic varieties was not thrilled to hear (and of which I so expressed). They offered to simply come as they were (two individuals-- a man and woman-- maybe a third as well) but said that the boxes they bring would have to be billed. I said they were welcome to come to assist our move at the agreed labor rate but that no materials or other fees would be paid. They said they would be there in under an hour. Nearing dinnertime, I received a call from one of A.S.M. saying he and another guy were about to leave to assist us. By that time, we had gone through one wave of volunteers and had nearly exhausted the next wave. The new apartment was nearly full; the old already a memory. All that was left was to unpack and return the truck (and find a local buffet). With the sun well in west, I told them we no longer required their services. read more

They were full service - disassembly / assembly of the furniture, wrapping and boxing things we hadn't had time to do. While they didn't race and run to get things done, they also didn't stand around waiting to be directed like some movers. At $85/hour + $50 fuel charge for an two men and truck big enough to move a 1 bedroom apartment, they were also priced much lower than other companies. Two days before the move someone called to confirm, and the day of the move went just as planned. All of my things were on and off the truck in about 2 hours, 1 hour less than I was quoted so it felt good to know they weren't the type to take their time just to make extra money. Even though I paid for two movers, the company sent three at no extra cost due to the heat. They disassembled, moved, and reassembled all of my belongings without breaking or damaging anything. So I had them move my things... pretty much down the street. 2 exits away. Still had to pay the $50 in gas and $95 a hour. Total close to $500 for them scratching up my things that I asked to be very careful with. Mind you the storage was right down the street. Don't waste you time ... These guys did my unload for a 4 bedroom house from Florida. I had a 26" uhaul completely and professionally packed. They showed up at the appropriate time and their guys worked hard and took care of my stuff. The movers were professional and placed everything as I directed. After we had everything placed they helped my position everything as I wanted. At one point an old point and click camera that was broken fell out of a drawer that it was poorly packed in (they hadn't done the packing). They immediately came and got me and told me. I explained it was already broken and not to stress it. Cool trustworthy guys. A few weeks after I was done they came and picked up all my empty boxes for free. Billing was very reasonable. The yelp deal helped make that decision easier and the booking manager was very professional and took care of my request even though it was after hours when I called. My partner was the on site person while I had to work that day and she is pretty hard to please when it comes to customer service. She mentioned that they were quick, efficient and most importantly didn't break anything. This was my second time working with Apollo Strong, after they moved my wife in April 2014. They arrived on-time and immediately set about their work. They surveyed the items and developed a plan quickly. They were careful with all of our things, taking care to wrap and pad our furniture and fragile items. They next stopped working.
