I never thought things could get this good for a moving company. To preface my review, I'm about as picky as it gets when it comes with people handling my stuff - doesn't matter if its old rags or an expensive piece of furniture, but for my move from Dallas to Philadelphia, I researched moving companies to no ends. I was looking specifically for a company who could move my stuff in the same truck without shifting stuff on and off of 18-wheelers like van line companies, and also promise me a guaranteed delivery date because I had a very narrow time window for my move at my destination. Phoenix express was able to do this while keeping costs very comparable to other moving companies such as the big van lines and other locals and in most cases was able to beat many of them. When I called them up, Jeff Young, the owner, was able to visit my house and run through for a quick estimate and was courteous and patient with all of my questions. He is truly a stand up gentleman who has a lot of ownership in his company. He offered me a final price with no hidden fees or BS and gave me the flexibility to pay half at move-out and the rest during move-in. From that point, I decided to book with Phoenix Express and had peace of mind. Jeff and his crew showed up promptly on the loading day right as promised. Big shout out to his partner, Cody, who was every bit as courteous and took his work very seriously. The pair, as well as the third mover were meticulous in wrapping the furniture, moving it through our two story house, and loading it in the truck. The load went very smoothly, nothing was damaged, and I could tell Jeff and Cody took meticulous consideration in getting the truck loaded to minimize damages. During the trip, Jeff kept me up-to-date almost on a daily basis with their progress. They even reach Philadelphia a day earlier than I was able to and offered to move my furniture in and help set things up prior to me even showing up!!! They offered to do this and then check in with me after I had moved in to see if any adjustments needed to be made. Unfortunately, our HOA was not able to allow this without my presence, so we went back to the original plan. The unloading went smoothly as well. Jeff had taken all precautions to check in with our HOA a day prior to the move, to scout out the complex and the loading dock and figure out all of the potential obstacles during the move. They showed up exactly on the dot the day of the unloading and they promptly unloaded all of the furniture, and set everything up to the exact specs I had requested. Nothing at our rental was damaged either. Cody and Jeff were almost OCD during the entire process to make sure everything was unloaded without damages to my belongings our the condo. In summary, I really can't say anything negative about my experience with Phoenix Express. I had confidence from the moment I met Jeff until every last item was unloaded and set up at our new place. I used Phoenix Express Moving for my move on Labor Day. The experience was completely amazing from start to finish. I was preparing to move from Dallas to New Jersey, but the majority of my stuff was going to San Antonio (my hometown) - either in a storage unit or to a separate location. Moving is stressful as it is, but this particular move had a lot of moving parts, was on a holiday & in the middle of the pandemic, so it was even more stress than normal. Jeff (the owner) answered the phone & immediately calmed my nerves & assured me that his team could handle whatever it was that I needed. He said he would text me a list of the information that he needed me to provide. I received the text less than 2 minutes after hanging up the phone & as promised, he had a quote to me that evening. Not only was the quote provided quickly - but it was a fair quote. His prices are competitive with all the other moving companies that I called, but the experience, professionalism, timeliness & customer service is so beyond exceptional & beyond what I encountered in any of my conversations/negotiations with other moving companies. I used packing services from Phoenix. Savannah & Chloe arrived on time & did an incredible job! They were FAST & everything was handled & packed with the greatest of care. I realized the following day that the island cabinets had not been packed. When I contacted Phoenix, they said they would get someone over asap & Chloe returned to pack the missed area within the hour. She could have been irritated/frustrated that she had to return, but she was just as pleasant as the day before & took the same care with packing as before. On moving day, the loading crew arrived 15 minutes early. Charles, Josh & Demar were absolutely incredible! They disassembled everything & they handled everything with care. When I would say, "Oh my goodness - I forgot this or that - can you do this?" they would respond happily with, "Absolutely!" or a "Happy to take care of that for you, Ma'am." All 3 of them were so kind, professional & FAST. Even though they were fast, they were METICULOUS with their work. The thought & care that went into every item that they handled, loaded & packed was beyond impressive. Both the packers & all 3 movers truly handled my belongings as if they were their own personal treasures. I was also impressed with the precautions taken to protect all of us against the spread of Covid. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience with a moving company. From start to finish, the process was professional, stress-relieving, safe, effective & as absolutely pleasant as a move can possibly be. PLEASE - if you are moving locally, in-state or out of state - do yourself a favor & hire Phoenix Express. I am so glad that I did & I guarantee, you will feel the same way! If I ever move again, I'll be saving up money to convince Jeff to send his team all the way to Jersey - b/c I would never want to use another moving company again! We couldn't be happier with Phoenix Express. In advance of the move we provided photos of our household to simplify estimation of the needed packing supplies and the labor intensity. The packing crew showed up on time, had absolutely every tool and packing supply ready to go, and worked at blazing speed. Our household items were packed compactly, safely, and securely. The ladies were upbeat, cheerful, and clearly expert in their field. Or boxes were labeled distinctly and clearly, making unpacking a breeze. Not a single item was damaged in transit - not even the more delicate decor pieces. When the packing job was completed - and it took about 75% less time that the two of us would have needed - the ladies provided a clear summary of the material and labor costs. The sent box count to the moving crew, who would arrive the next morning. The next morning the moving team arrived - 15 minutes early! They texted me in advance so we could meet them by the loading dock of our building. Supplies had been pre-prepared, dropped off by our apartment earlier in that morning - this crew SERIOUSLY has the routine down pat. You can just tell from the workers' friendliness and efficiency that they had their protocols planned out and they strived to be in and out as soon as possible. Just like the packing team, every member politely introduced him/herself, then hustled to help everyone else to get the job done. The loading took maybe 90 minutes for a 2BR apartment. (If I had done it with my friends, it would take us a day.) Our garage fob-keycard accidently left with a crewmember. One of the owners made it a point to drive it back in twenty minutes. Throughout the transit to Denver, the owners kept us informed of the haul's progress. It's such a relief to not have your home simply disappear into a black hole of semis and trucks. Here comes the kicker - the trucks arrived ready to deliver a full day early! We couldn't take advantage of the opportunity, sadly, as our lease started the next day. The owners used the extra time to scout out where they would need to park the truck next morning and they spoke with the building's director to pre-plan the unloading. When we arrived in our new place, Jeff and Beau had already off-loaded some of the boxes and had them ready by the loading dock! They carefully unloaded our furniture, boxes, and art in a matter of hours. We couldn't be happier with the process. Angie followed up with us to make sure nothing was damaged and provided a detailed, finalized invoice. We only had a couple of minor breakages and scrapes - nothing that in hindsight was avoidable. Still, Phoenix Express quickly issued an appropriate credit to make sure we're 100% satisfied. And we certainly are that! This genuine group of people cares about their reputation, knows what they're doing, owns the process end-to-end, and follow up to make sure their clients are satisfied. Within hours we were sent a quote with a detailed list of the big items to be moved and an estimated number of boxes that needed to be packed with the other odds and ends of the house. The price quoted to us was more than reasonable for the job they had in front of them. Next came packing day. A team of people came to the house, at the scheduled time to pack and wrap all of our belongings. All of our large items were wrapped in shrink wrap, and padding where needed for protection. All of the smaller items were wrapped in the appropriate shipping material and boxes so as not to be damaged during the move. It would have taken us days to do what this team did in mere hours. The next morning was moving day, which began at the promised time. Let me tell you, Jeff must have been a Tetris champion as a kid because the way he packed the van was something to be seen. He maximized every bit of that truck to make sure that none of our items had to be left behind, even though there were a few things we forgot to show them when Angie did the home inventory. So, the truck is ready to go. It's now Friday afternoon and they set off to our new home 1300 miles away. We discussed a late Sunday, early Monday delivery. You often hear of moving companies being late with deliveries by days and sometimes weeks. How often do you hear of them being EARLY? We got a call saying they were at our new home Saturday evening. A whole day ahead of schedule! Once to the house, Jeff, Angie and their team exemplified the same efficiency and professionalism to unload our items, place them in the proper rooms and reassemble all of the big items that had be disassembled on the earlier part of the move. Pheonix Express is the best among all services I have used during the past three months, which are from AC/Heating installation to replacement of sliding glass door, from installation of range hood /ductwork to termite treatment and home appliance installations. Phoenix Express is always on time and never misses once. Right after I called Jeff who told me his brother will call me, I received a call from his brother Beau who scheduled a walk through next day. Beau was on time to have the walk through in the morning of September 20, and a quote was given in the afternoon with a good price. The moving was set on October 15,2022. Beau always timely answered my questions such as packing, insurance and etc. On the moving day the crew of six led by Alex arrived at my Plano, Texas house very on time. My wife and I along with two of our friends have been so impressive of this team's experience, skills and speeds, especially the quality of work. They disassembled furniture so professionally such as mass bedroom frame, dresser, formal dinning table and China cabinet, desks and others, and wrapped them very well. Everything was moved with very good care to the truck. When they moved the piano and lifted to truck, I was surprised the elevator can lift 3000 lb. That means they have top class trucks. In the very early morning of October 18, a crew of five led by Jeff, Beau and Alex arrived in my California house from Dallas, Texas. Not a single minute delay! They did unloading and assembly within two hours. Everything was put in the exact places as we marked on boxes and furniture. They put felt pads under furniture even before we asked them to do so. They also put piano caster cups under the piano. I wrote this review 20 days after my moving was completed. This is because I opened almost all fragile boxes as of today and have not found any broken glasses, wine bottles, plates and kitchenware. It is amazing! Not a single one!!! China cabinet has 11 pieces of glass. None is broken. I used the facts above as basis to review Pheonix Express whose services are greatly to our satisfaction. There is no doubt that Pheonix Express deserves more than five stars if the rating system has. My husband and I recently moved from Dallas to Los Angeles, and I cannot say enough about how critical Beau and his team were to our move's success and ease. I have never moved interstate with movers before, only renting my own trucks. I had no idea what to really expect, or consider. I got a quote from Phoenix Express as well as about 5 other places. The service and attention I got from Beau is why I hired the team in the first place. Beau and I chatted about move date possibilities, and then he took the time to explain to me what moving interstate was going to be like, and concerns I should ask about with my other quotes. Things like: 1. Phoenix Express is licensed interstate, while some companies are not. This can backfire if the truck is pulled over for any reason, leaving you stranded. 2. Phoenix Express has employees, not laborers. They are professional movers top to bottom. 3. Phoenix Express drives the truck themselves, and will arrive only a few days later (in our case). There would be no warehousing or re-packing of a truck. 4. Phoenix Express bids for the entire job, not just for a deposit or a 'base value.' Some companies bid me low prices, but review showed that they'd often get your stuff on the truck and say, "well now it's several thousand more expensive." There was also no deposit, so I wasn't concerned about them not showing up. 5. Beau came to my house the same day as I called and did a full walkthrough estimate. He discussed with me how he'd pack items I was concerned with, how they move things, and if I was packing up myself, what to watch out for. 6. They have staffed packing services, though we did not use them. That said, we ran out of boxes for our kitchen on the last day of packing. We took a chance and texted Beau about it, he replied "no problem!" and the team saved our butts there. They loaded the truck in 2 hours, and unloaded it in 3. All of my items arrived in great condition and his staff was friendly, experienced, and also unbelievably talented. Phoenix was not the most expensive, and was not the lease expensive either. I knew that I was getting what I paid for and more, and felt SO confident that they were taking great care of my things. Beau and his team's service was top-notch the entire time. Where do I even begin! Given that I'm a young(ish) female who was moving across 4 states alone, I did a lot of research to make sure I'd avoid the many terrible moving companies out there. I eventually came across Phoenix Express and read their reviews wondering if it really is possible to have such an amazing moving experience as the previous reviewers were describing. Moving house is after all a big pain in the butt (or in my big toe rather after I managed to squash it with one of my heavy moving boxes!). Well people, let me tell you - after the experience I had with these guys, Jeff and Angie are now my adopted American parents (I'm not from the US). If I could use Phoenix Express for every move that I'll ever make across the world from now on, I would. These guys will tailor their service to suit your individual situation and they do so without ever trying to squeeze every buck out of it. Jeff and Angie are genuine, hard working people with big hearts that will give you an upfront quote and actually stick to that quote. Never once did I feel as if they were in it for the money - the variety of clients that they've helped is incredible and yet, they treat everyone the same regardless if you're rich or poor. The quality of the service is truly incredible - I only have a few more boxes to unpack and so far, not a single thing has been damaged in any way. They even somehow managed to maintain the perfect shape of a paper box that has a gift in it for one of my friends - unreal! I can honestly say that I feel truly blessed to have met Jeff and Angie because they took care of me from start to finish as if I was their own daughter. Jeff even put my bed back together for me in my new apartment so that I would have somewhere to sleep straight away. Oh and did I mention that they also relocated my car on the back of the moving van so that I didn't have to do the 15 hour drive? As I'm sure you can tell by now, I can't recommend this crew enough. STOP!!! What ever you are doing do not look any further. The is THE BEST moving company ever!! We have moved a lot in the past and in all my moves I have NEVER had service like the service I received from Jeff and his team!! (If I could give him more stars I would!) To start off Jeff (the owner) is not only the most professional person but is warm and caring and truly wants to not only do his job perfectly, he wants to help in any way he can. When I first called Jeff he called me back Immediately and even being stuck in a traffic jam (currently on another job) He was warm and funny and immediately wanted to find a way to squeeze me into an already busy schedule. He went above and beyond to make it work which was my experience with him the entire move. The move was from Dallas to Ft Lauderdale which was extremely stressful except when it came to the actual moving end. Jeff answered all my questions promptly and was extremely flexible and helpful. When his men arrived the day of the move each one of his employee came up to me and introduced themselves and shook my hand. The were extremely courteous and professional and everyone was very careful with all my belongings and absolutely NOTHING was broken....That is the very first time I have ever had that experience with a move...wow! All his men knew exactly what they were supposed to do and It alleviated all the stress for me. We were moving out of a large home but with a large crew the move was completed in record time in half a day, I was simply amazed! Jeff the owner never left the job site and personally drove the load to Florida in under two days and unloaded it perfectly in an organized fashion in a storage unit. Then, when I had a problem, (unrelated to him and his end of the move) and needed speakers returned to the old home Jeff handled the problem himself and shipped them back for me. Phoenix Express were excellent to work with. I recently moved my parents from Dallas to California. The day before we moved, two ladies came and helped pack up my parents room. I could not believe how efficient and professional they were. They packed my mothers very full bedroom quickly and we had nothing broken in the move. The next day, Cody, Alex, Brandon, Damar & Juan came and loaded up the truck. Again, professional, on-time, efficient and hard-working (all of them). Cody came to us at one point and told us that between all the heavy furniture my mom/dad own and my mom's cookbooks the truck was going to be over weight. They asked us to consider removing items or if we wanted to order another truck. We opted to get another truck (to keep mom happy) and they were able to accommodate our request in a short period of time and keep us completely on schedule. Cody and Alex drove the two trucks from Dallas to California in 2.5 days. I even had to move my flight back to California up because they were able to get there so quickly. They pulled into California on Saturday night and immediately went to work unloading both trucks. Just the two of them emptied both trucks and placed "very heavy furniture" where we asked (even upstairs). With all due respect, they worked liked dogs and not once did they complain or take breaks. We offered to feed the - they wouldn't stop. They would only stop to have a cool drink from the 90-degree temperatures. They left us and were heading back for a 2-hour drive, sleep and catch a flight back to Dallas the next day to turn around and move someone to New York. I can not say enough about how great this experience was. Phoenix Express was excellent to work with and their team were completely professional, efficient and paid a great deal of attention to what they were doing. No bangs up walls or doors. Jeff, Angie, Cody, and Brandon were great! They made a long distance move from Dallas to Jersey a breeze and gave us complete peace of mind. The communication and follow up from start to finish was great and really appreciated, you never had to worry for a second about your stuff. Jeff recommended a packing service they offer, which we used and made our lives much much easier. For a very reasonable amount two great ladies came by and helped us pack up all our stuff in about 3 hours. They did a good job packing all of our breakables and were very good about labeling the boxes with a list of items and what room they belonged in. Definitely helped when we started hunting for a few things after the move. During the moving process itself Cody and Brandon, and another colleague who helped load the truck were on it. They did it quickly and loaded the truck very efficiently. When I asked extra blankets/protection be applied to some of our furniture they did that too which helped give us peace of mind. During the driving Cody/Brandon called a few times to let us know where they were and that all was well. They arrived right on time in Jersey got us unpacked and everything setup nice and easy. When we moved to Dallas we used a Van Line service, which admittely was moderately less expensive. However, once our stuff was loaded on the truck they price gauged us, the communication was less than stellar, and although all ended up ok the process overall was much more nerve racking. Jeff was upfront and direct on the cost from our very first phone call, there was no nonsense and no hidden fees or anything. That's greatly appreciated! If you're doing a long distance move and want peace of mind I highly recommend calling Phoenix Express. It's not the cheapest option there is but for us was perfect. read more
