We moved from Dallas to Austin (so it was a long day) but these guys were so professional, thorough, efficient, and careful with our belongings. Andrew and his team kept checking in with us to make sure that our items were where we wanted them and we really appreciated that! Their pricing was very fair and there were no hidden fees (like a lot of places). Andrew communicated with us very clearly about all charges and fees associated with the move. The owner called us a few days before to suggest adding a 3rd mover because we had a lot of stuff, which we agreed -- and thankfully we did because we definitely needed the 3rd person. Max the owner called me back and made everything right. He is amazing and so kind. I'm looking forward to working with him and his team for my move in a couple weeks. The lady who calls to setup services is rude, patronizing and interrupts. She needs to allow her customers to fully explain, list items, and finish their thoughts. The situation is difficult and stressful for the customers so it doesn't help when she is constantly interrupting. The worst part is that I was being nice to explain but then she blamed me and didn't even take accountability for her behavior on the matter. She tried to state it was my fault and how I needed to be instead of appreciating that I was giving her maybe more information and list items then needed but then later she claimed the opposite. I would not advise working with them since we couldn't get past the initial quote and I'm really nice when it comes to services and vendors because I know how hard they work. After chatting with them, I found out they had worked for a five-star moving company in San Francisco before starting up in Dallas, TX, which gave me more confidence. Even though I usually rely on reviews, I decided to give them a chance. My main concern was that my 86-inch TV would be moved safely. They not only took it off the mount carefully but also went above and beyond with the packaging, just like I asked. They did a great job with my other furniture too and loaded all my boxes quickly. These guys were amazing from start to finish. The first time I contacted them they were always very responsive and understood my apprehension and put me at ease about the move. There was some road closures in my old neighborhood for a marathon and they just rolled with it and figured it out. It was not an easy move...carrying all our stuff down two flights of stairs. They made it happen all the while checking in with us to make sure everything was going as planned. Baur, Arman & Andrew took excellent care of us and our stuff! I have moved every two years on average for the last 20 years. This was the worst moving company I have ever used. They quoted me less than half the cost they charged. The movers came into my apartment told me it would be easy, and it would take a couple of hours. 8.5 hours later it was still not complete. I had already packed most of the loose items, i.e., the entire kitchen, bathrooms and shelving. They only had to move furniture and clothing (from a two-bedroom apartment). They sent kids that were super sweet, but largely clueless on moving. When I complained that the cost was double what I was quoted I was told it was due to the quality of thier moving. I used Rise Up yesterday for a partial move from a high rise to a two story house and then to a storage facility. I have heavy furniture, a glass bar, and a peloton. They wrapped the furniture very well and moved everything very carefully. My fiancée observed them several times talking to each other about how to avoid scratching walls or damaging the structure or furniture. They were very nice and really cared about doing a great job.
