AB Moving reviews are paid for, they give you 5% off of your move if you leave a positive review I have used AB Moving three times. The first two was a couple of years ago. They were a smaller company and did great work. Nowadays they are expanding quickly and do not care about the quality of their work. 10am - Met *******, told him should be a short day. He said good because he had stuff to do today. 12am - I spoke with ******* and called AB about why all of my stuff was not fitting in the truck. I used AB movers October to move my stuff out of a 2,600 sqft house in Plano. I downsized, moved into an RV for a while and then got a tiny 2/1 1,275 sqft house. I was miffed as to why my stuff, which was less, did not fit in the truck. ******* told me sometimes you get a different truck (26' truck). I didn't understand how it didn't fit so I also called. The representative told me that you can't guarantee that everything will fit in the truck. I told her that I did not understand why the same stuff would not fit in the same truck. She told me that maybe they didn't stack it as high and I agreed that they did not. I asked her if there was a standard for stacking stuff, she said she didn't think so. I could see that things were not stacked high. ********said he didn't want anything to break and I told him it was mostly books and stuff that would not break. He said ok but still did not stack things very high. This was one cause of why things did not fit in the truck. 2am - lunch break 4:30 Allen - Truck shows up. ********wants half payment, I asked about 5%. Someone from AB calls and tells me that they didn't get the Yelp review and they were sorry but there would not be a 5% discount. I said ok. I emailed the person that I emailed the review to and told her that review would be changing and that I had shared it with her. I got a call back 5 minutes after the email and they told me that they would apply the 5%. The young kid on ******* crew forgot the pegs for our king size bed box. *******said he could fix something that would work. It took him 45 minutes to create the pegs. Granted 2 of them were missing when they moved the bed but that doesn't excuse the fact that I had the bed sitting on the box just fine with 2 and that I had to pay $70 (45 minutes at the hourly wage) for a guy to create new pegs when they forgot the pegs in the first place. Meanwhile the kid is hardly working and the other guy busting his hump all by himself while the kid stands around while Anthony jerry rigs some piece for the bed. Eventually otherguy starts barking at the kid to work. The crew finally wraps up around 6:30. As they finish up, I walk outside to see if anything is left in the truck. As I look in the truck I see a queen mattress set in the back of the truck. It is strapped down and taking up quite a bit of space. I tell the kid that that is not my bed. He says no, some customer gave it to one of the guys. *******comes outside looking for payment. I ask him about the bed. He says it is one of his guys and none of my business. I tell him that I asked him why my stuff wouldn't fit in the truck and now it makes sense. He starts telling asking me if I have a problem with the blankets, the dollys and the tools because they take up space too. I said, really? You are a mover, you know that is taking up space, space that I paid for, space for my stuff. He could have fit another 15 boxes there (which is about how many are left at my house). Or two of the bookshelves that he didn't bring. It all made sense then as to why all of my stuff did not fit in the truck. Last time, they got it all in, no problem. This time, there was still another 12 or so boxes and two book shelves left. I knew it should have all fit. I tell *******what he did was wrong. That he was dishonest with me when I voiced concerns about all of my stuff fitting in the truck, that AB charged me for moving one of their workers personal stuff on a move and that instead of asking how he could fix it, he accuses me of being petty and that my boxes were broken. I bought brand new boxes from Home Depot. I still have some of them in their original, unused condition. He said he couldn't stack very high because of the boxes. I told him he should have voiced his concerns and I would have switched out some of the boxes. He then told me all of my boxes were broken. This is a lie because I just bought most of them; they are brand new. Now the fact that that crew failed to load up all of my stuff in the truck, the same stuff that was loaded by another crew less than a year previous forces me to make trips all the way up to Sherman and back to Allen. My wife is having surgery & I have to finish the move that I paid $1,200 for AB to do by myself. What a sick joke. read more

I was called a very nasty name when the "lead" guy threw a glass picture across the room, to which I asked him not too! I guess he took offense to me protecting my property. Too bad! I don't think he was aware I was in earshot of him. I asked him, what did you call me? He states, "what are you talking about; I didn't say that." if you're going to be man enough to say it, then be man enough to own it and apologize, NOT LIE and DENY!!!!! This makes him the name he called me, which is of the female gender parts. Ironically, it was me that called DPD, because I was being threatened with my belongings to be left outside. I told them to leave!!! Leave my belongings and go!! However, you won't get paid! Two can play your game!! The lead guy, after calling me his particular word in Spanish, then me confronting him, he ran downstairs to call his boss to tattle on himself. If you're not guilty, why would you need to tell your boss immediately?!?! PULLING DPD report to prove it was not hostile, while their movers had their handheld for the majority of the night. Just to show your lying!!! I will add a copy when I receive it. The only reason my move wasn't disputed was that it was outside your window. However, all the damage that's done to my belongings, the drama of having to call the police to make them leave or do their job, being called names, no apologies, wasting my time, with entirely unprofessional behavior proves that 23 years and your most experienced crew doesn't mean much. I'm going to pull the police report because you're a liar!!!!!! Were you aware that the police left after your, "10+ yr experienced crew did?). Hostile my a**!! You did nothing close to helping me that night. Why did you leave my brand new fridge outside? Your quote-unquote professionals, (3) of them with a dolly, stated ma'am, we're the experts here, and we do this all day every day. Didn't try to move it one step, NOT ONE!!! It's midnight by now, and I was done! They proceeded to take my BRAND NEW fridge around back to the parking lot. So, that right there, should be enough to warrant a full refund!! Oh, and let's not forget that said boss, who was called that night, never called me. No one did?! Great management!! Great customer service too!!!!! You explained nothing to me. I didn't call you and NO ONE bothered to call me. It sat outside until I could find someone to help me get it up the stairs. Your professionals, again, stated it wouldn't fit. On top of $640, I paid one guy $100, plus the cost of the dolly with my help to get it up the stairs "that it wouldn't originally fit." Let's not forget about all my time and cleaning supplies needed after three weeks in the elements. As I've mentioned, said leader guy lied about what he said to me; however, at the end of the night, his statement in front of the cops, was.........ma'am, we call each other that name when we kid around. Oh, so I did hear you correctly?? Which is it? You did or you didn't say it?? Can't even keep up with his own lies. I don't think I have ever written a review for anything before. But these guys were SO GOOD, that I can't just NOT write a review for them. Everyone needs to know how great this company is! I have used AB three out of my four moves. The only reason I didn't use them for one of my moves was because we couldn't afford it and had friends help us. I reserved a time slot for 1-4pm to move about 20 miles away from a first floor to a 4th floor but the 4th floor had underground parking and freight elevator access directly to the floor. We had three movers for 2 hrs at $105/hr. Our time officially started at 230pm. They showed up and from the beginning they were SO POLITE. Ya'll, these are the nicest group of guys I have ever met! They were very respectful of my parents and my husband and I. After signing some forms they started wrapping and loading. At one point they realized that they didn't bring the wardrobe boxes we requested. Instead of them taking the only truck they had to go get them, I asked my dad to go pick them up because it was only a few miles away and he has a truck. Well, my dad got lost and it was a nightmare. I finally gave the people at their office my dad's number to help direct him. He found it after an hour, got them loaded, and one of the boxes flew off his truck right when he got on the freeway. Disaster. It ended up on the shoulder so he left it. They finished loading the truck at the 2hr mark but it wasn't because they slowed down and the wardrobe boxes didn't delay the movers at all. We just had more stuff than we realized. Unfortunately, in addition to the $35 travel fee, it's also continuing to count the minutes. We moved thirty minutes away so by the time they made it, we were way over the two hours we thought it would take! When they got here, another renter had just backed their uhaul up and were using the freight elevator. Ya'll, these guys ended up having to go up 4 flights of stairs after thinking they would be able to use an elevator. To say they were exhausted is an understatement! Did they complain once? Nope! Were they anything less than 100% professional and kind? Nope. They were AMAZING. They were fast, efficient, and fun! We had a great time cracking jokes with them when they took quick water breaks. And I mean, quick. They didn't waste time at all. I was so impressed! One even carried a washing machine on his back, up the floor flights of stairs with no assistance! These three guys-Emanuel, Carlos, and Alexander-were the best team of movers we have ever had! My parents were impressed as well and we just couldn't stop talking about how great they were after they left! They were even playful and fun with our almost-2-year old little boy. At one point, one of the movers had the glider that was going in my son's room on his back. I had just told him where to set it down and as he started to lower it over his head my son darted right where he was setting it down. He saw right away that my son was there but there were boxes in the way and I couldn't get to my son quickly enough. He had this heavy glider in an awkward position, trying to keep from dropping it and move at the same time to avoid it falling on my kid. It happened so fast but I couldn't imagine how painful that was for the mover. I got to my son and scooped him up out of the way and the mover set the chair down, turned to me, and apologized! I told him he had nothing to apologize for, that he did nothing wrong, and had my dad watch my son the rest of the time. ;) Our move was 5hrs total. Way longer than expected. They were beat! But they smiled the ENTIRE time they were with us. Oh and remember the disaster with the wardrobe boxes?? Those cost $5/ea to rent and $10/ea to buy. We were not charged a penny for them. Not one item was damaged during our move. Absolutely nothing was stolen and I'm shocked that one of the reviews suggested they would have taken anything. I can't compliment their services enough. I had scheduled a move for 12:30 - 3 on Thursday, August 29 with AB Moving. Due to some issues our lender misplacing a signed form that was needed, we ended up delayed. I was told our closing would be pushed back to 2 PM, at which point I called and asked if it was possible to push my move back or ensure they would not arrive until 3 PM. I was told that there was a truck with a flat and everyone was running behind and I couldn't be fit in later that day, but I could move to Friday, Aug. 30, between 4 - 7 PM. I agreed to that move date and time and noted to contact me if anything happened to open up Thursday, making sure to note I had to be out of my storage facility by end of month. I did not hear from AB Moving again until I contacted them Friday at 5 PM to confirm I was on the schedule and they would not be past 7 PM since I was moving out of an unlit storage facility. I was assured I was and they would call me when 30 minutes out. . I had left work early to change and be ready to get over to our storage location as soon as they called. As 7 PM approached I headed over to the storage facility to ensure I would not hold them up as we would now be working against the sun setting and lack of light. At 7:40, I got a call stating they did not know where the drivers where or how far out and he (the dispatcher) was trying to track them down. I told him that there was no light once the sun went down at this storage facility and that it was setting so I needed them quickly. I also stated that if I didn't get out of the unit I had to pay for another month. He called back 10 minutes later (now 7:50) to report they were an hour out and maybe could get there around 9 PM (after sundown). I told him there was no point and it wouldn't be safe to move try and move unless they were equipped with spotlights. He said he would see what he could do Saturday. I requested Saturday morning as I already had plans Saturday that I could not reschedule. When he called back I was only offered late Saturday, and that was not a firm commitment just an "if they could squeeze me in". I ended up having to schedule for Sunday and pay $144.00 because AB Moving did not meet their contracted appointment time window Sunday, three men arrived within the time I had been given. They did work quickly. They did not, however, work extremely safely or carefully, choosing to forgo the appliance dolly that was sitting on the ground. While moving my washing machine they apparently (I did not see what happened as I wasn't watching them at the time and only heard the crash) lost their balance while heading up the ramp to the truck and the washing machine toppled over onto the front. The damage to the machine was extensive. The electrical is completely shot and I was advised by four washing machine repair men it was not worth trying to fix. The piece that holds the drum in cracked where the screws hold it down and it doesn't function any longer, the body is cracked and scratched and dented. The entire electrical compartment has broken loose; the water drain in the back broke loose so if you try and attach a drain hose it just recedes into the washer. All this to say it is shot, forcing us to purchase a new washer. Our model is not available so we had to purchase another washer for $800 to get a comparable quality washer (the one that was broken was 1299.00 when new six years ago). I am now out $944 (144+800) due to negligence of AB Moving. I understand things happen, I also understand that the standard insurance required is measured in pounds and doled out at $0.60 per lb, but I am now out $944 because of AB Movings lack of ability to meet a contract and negligence by their crew while loading (it is one thing to take proper precautions and have an accident, it is another to have an accident when not using the available proper precautions even though you advertise you are professional trained movers who will take every precaution). read more

AB Moving and Storage - AB Moving Stole personal property during a recent move and refused to take any Responsibility for a $500 loss Moving? Choosing a Mover to help? Buyer BEWARE! If you are reviewing moving companies for best price and/or service, I strongly suggest you do NOT look at AB Moving as an option. Here's Why... 1) They make YOU sign their contract that supports "their" needs from you. (Don't you think you have any rights as a buyer of their services?) 2) You advise them what your interests and needs are, but they totally disregard any/all suggestions you have and continue to support their own idea of what you want handled and how you want it handled. Very RUDE employees! 3) If anything goes wrong - like dents, dings, scratches, breaks etc. their insurance will dispute any and everything so you see nothing in return for their failure to care for your belongings that you entrusted them to move for you. 4) They will advise how everything needs to be boxed up before your move, yet if you advise certain items NOT Be Moved, they will dispute that YOU failed at not following their moving instructions. 5) They will advise that you should buy (their) insurance to cover your move. However, you MUST read the fine print, because your coverage is limited to very few dollars for many, many pounds of furniture moved. (If a light box is worth (example: $500) you "may" be refunded .60 cents 6) They will also advise that you have security cameras rolling at all times to cover any problems that may arise. So they want You to pay extra for insurance to cover a move to protect your items from "their employees." In addition, they want YOU to have security cameras rolling so "their employees" are held accountable (at your expense) for anything that may be stolen. Hhhmmm expenses are adding up now - aren't they? 7) WHY does the customer need to pay more money to have a move done by purchasing insurance? 8) Shouldn't the moving company be reputable enough to Guarantee Results? 9) Shouldn't the company be responsible for the employees (they hire) so that they aren't sending crooks into your home to RIP you off at the 1st chance possible? 10) AB Moving Company sent movers to help with our move. At our request: to move ONLY heavy furniture. No boxes! 11) One of the movers chose to steal a small 10x10 plastic bag (knotted shut) from (on top of a box.) Probably weighed a pound. That small plastic bag was worth $500 of new goods that were bought as a housewarming gift. So the contract, the insurance and the rule that everything must be boxed would have ONLY protected movers and NOT us. Why would we have needed a 1 pound plastic bag moved???? 12) The plastic bag also had the receipt for goods in the bag. How convenient it was that less than a week after the bag was missing, that it was returned for a full refund from the business it was purchased from. (And it was not our signature on the full refund ) 13) Calls were made to the owner at AB Moving. A police report was filed. But without security cameras rolling at all times when their movers were in our home stealing from us, we have NO rights as a consumer for any respect, accountability, satisfaction, compensation or reimbursement of any kind. In essence: AB Moving is NOT responsible at any level. They aren't accountable for being a reputable business. They aren't accountable for hiring reputable employees. Let me preface my complaint with the fact that this was my second time to use your company and moving services. The first time I was extremely pleased. I wrote a review and gave a 5 star rating on Yelp regarding my experience. Because of this we used your company again when needed to move recently. On 3/6, AB Moving moved our possessions from our home directly to a storage unit. There were two crews that assisted with our move. The first crew seemed to be professional and thorough enough. We were not as happy with the second crew. We found multiple items broke to which we were not told about and only knew about after we went back and did a walk through of the home we just moved out of, several items were left behind at our house that should've been moved and multiple items that were not wrapped (furniture and TV's, etc). Because we were unhappy with this experience overall, we decided to use a different moving company when it was time to finally move our items from storage into our new home. It was at this time that as the movers began to pull items out of storage to load, they would point out damage on furniture and items so that we knew it was not caused by them. There were some things pointed out that were already there and that we were aware of as well as some damages pointed out that were as a result of the recent move. Our flat screen TV's were scratched up along the base because they were not wrapped, several bedroom suits were dinged up and that is when we saw the refrigerator. I can let the other things go because either they don't impact the use of the item, the damage is not overly noticeable or I can fix it with touch up markers. I also understand that some damages are unavoidable during a move. What I am not understanding of is the fact that no one told me and instead, they hid it. There is NO WAY they would not have known they damaged my refrigerator, the damage is significant and easily noticeable. At this time I began the process of filing a claim. I have gone back and forth with the insurance company that AB Moving uses since MAY and after HOURS of collecting documents, printing pictures, mailing packets because they don't accept anything via email, they came back with a settlement of $69 for my $3000, 2 year old refrigerator. I declined and sent further documentation showing that would not even cover the replacement of the two doors that were damaged much less dings and scratches on other areas of the appliance. Today I received the final claim. In addition to my $69 from the insurance company, AB Moving has agreed to pay $45. Needless to say, this is absurd. At this point, I wave the white flag and can only leave a poor review hoping to save someone else from this experience. This company keeps on removing my review and even told BBB that I was not a customer of theirs when I submitted a negative review on them. Please do not believe the high rating for this company. The delete their reviews and try to mask how horrible their services are and how they treat their customers. I used AB moving for my move in Dallas and I warn anyone who is thinking about using them to BEWARE. I had them load my items into a storage box to be shipped to Chicago and it was a crew of 3 men. I've moved numerous times and I was initially surprised how long it was taking 3 men to pack and move my things. Usually its takes 2 movers to move my 1 bedroom apartment in less time than it took these 3 movers, but I thought nothing about it. They did not wrap my furniture properly and they packed my storage container horribly. They placed bigger boxes on top of the smaller and more fragile boxes, they did not cover my furniture or the edges, and they did not securely pack the box. When I opened up my storage box, everything was in disarray. Because they did not wrap my items like my bed frame, entertainment set, end tables, and mirrors there was significant damage to my items and scratches and marks all over them. I was horrified to see that because they just threw my items into the storage, majority of my furniture was damaged. In addition, because they placed my bigger and heavier boxes on top of the smaller boxes, many of my boxes were damaged, crushed, and even wide open. Also, when the movers in Chicago tried to assemble my furniture, they realized that the movers from AB Moving didn't even pack the screws needed to put my bed and dresser together. Usually movers will tape the screws or bolts to the furniture they disassembled, but these guys didn't even pack it with my items. I then had to run to home depot to buy the screws and paid an additional hour of moving because of the extreme incompetence from AB Moving. LASTLY, when I tried to call them to complain and file a claim, I told an AB Moving rep what was going on and he basically said it wasn't their problem and hung up on me. I could not believe that was the response I received from this company. I am outraged, I have lost money, and my items are damaged and no one seems to care. They are unprofessional, rude, careless, and incompetent. If you want your items damaged or if you want to work with unprofessional people who do not care if their employees have ruined your furniture and wasted your time, please try them. I've hired several moving companies across 3 different States over the years. I have had good luck and bad luck. I have had things damaged and had crews rip me off. I have read some bad reviews from others; so let me tell you a GOOD ONE from me. AB movers were in the elevator at my old place and the guy had a company shirt on. Since I knew we would be moving in a few weeks, I took a picture of the shirt with the number on it. Because they are associated with Make A Wish foundation, I felt good knowing I had come across a good moving company. (When I explained this to the dispatcher, she thought that was a clever way to call-by taking a picture of his shirt) -- It pays to advertise people! --- AND the guys that showed up for me, one of them was the picture I took. Axle said it was him!! She quoted me prices for a 3 man crew with a minimum of 2 hours. I knew I would need them all day, and was expecting a figure close to what I thought, so agreed to hire them. (They also answered the phones when I needed them, and sent me emails confirming our agreement and dates and times). Ricardo, Alex, and Q were my crew. They called me to let me know they were on the way and showed up in the time frame expected. They listened to my directions, estimated the way to arrange it all and promptly went to work. They were nice, asked me questions when needed and even smelled good!! They were careful with breakables, and wrapped EVERYTHING. I was shocked at the care they took even with the smallest of items. And they really wrapped everything and boxed things as if it were their own.- or so I thought. They loaded the truck carefully, didn't complain--- not once, and I was so amazed at the spectacular job, I even bought them lunch. Gave them water, and kept asking if they needed to take a break! These 3 never stopped !!! They took only a 30 min lunch and this was only after we were going to the 2nd destination. They were very hard workers. I have never seen 3 guys more kind, gracious, polite and fun than these 3. I have requested these 3-Ricardo, Alex, and Q for my next move in a year. Hopefully they will still be working with the company. They stayed as long as I needed them and even asked me if I needed any extra help rearranging the big pieces! The extra care they took from start to finish just blew me away! Ask for these 3!! I myself, would DEFINITELY RECCOMEND AB MOVERS. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND RICARDO, ALEX, AND Q!!!! My girlfriend used this company and they showed up in regular clothes, one guy wearing a shirt saying "DONT GIVE ME ALCOHOL". She is disabled and needed to have them pack, move and unpack her. Not only did it take them 10 hours with 3 guys, which she just moved again and it only took a little less than 6 with ONLY 2 guys. The movers harassed her, poisoned her service dog, and then physically threatened her at the end of the move when she wouldn't pay because they didn't finish the job. After she caught them stealing her pain medication they stopped and left her to unpack herself which with a spinal injury she is unable to do. The owner and everyone at the company refused to send anyone else out to help her. AB Moving just told the BBB that "Due to her being disabled she doesn't know what she's talking about, and the police investigation is closed". However, the investigation is still open and WHAT TYPE OF COMPANY BLAMES THEIR TERRIBLE BEHAVIOR ON SOMEONE WHO IS DISABLED? Now especially with the #metoo movement not only should we look more closely at how we treat women, as men, but also let's not forget about those who suffer from disabilities and have a hard enough time. She ended up having to call the police multiple times then finally had no choice but to move to finally feel secure in her own home. I travel a lot for work and couldn't be there to protect her so I'm so glad she's finally safe from this terrible company. If a company has employees harassing clients, threatening their lives, stealing narcotic medication, poisoning their service dog, I'm shocked that their response is that it's the clients fault for being disabled. When they lied and said the police investigation was closed because she's disabled but it's still open. Obviously, this company isn't afraid to lie about facts that can be checked, so what else are they lying about? I tell all my clients for their safety to research companies and how their reviews say they treat people before hiring them. If a company doesn't respect those with disabilities and their employees don't respect the company enough to show up in company shirts I would go with someone else. The rating system isn't based on NOT getting complaints it's based on many other factors. IN ORDER TO RECEIVE ANY COMPENSATION THEY REQUIRE YOU SIGN A RELEASE SAYING YOU WILL NOT MAKE DISPARAGING/NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THEM ON THE INTERNET AND RELEASE THEM FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS. This is more than likely why there aren't more negative reviews and their rating is so high....... I also think this is a really shady and unprofessional business practice. Here is my experience. I have successfully used AB Moving prior to my move in April. The first move went great and the crew completed the job quickly and efficiently. They were professional and didn't mess around. I guess that was the exception to the rule. This time was AWFUL. The crew this time was soo slow and inefficient. It does not take three men to take one dolly of boxes down an elevator (AB claims this is their policy). It took 10 hours for them to move a one bedroom apartment about 5 miles. The crew were goofing off and spent most of their time gossiping or on their phones making plans for the evening (one was on the phone while trying to carry things into my house). Finally, the company was completely unhelpful when it came to handling the situation. I sent several emails and left a phone message while the move was going on. I never received any type of communication. When I finally called to try to resolve the issue with them I was met with a hostile attitude and told that I was completely in the wrong and unreasonable. I dealt with Christy V. in their Claims/Customer Service department who was completely unwilling to make a fair and reasonable offer to resolve the issue. She was very rude, unprofessional and even insulting. She even told me that my issue had "taken up too much of her time". She kept trying to defend her position by reading me the good reviews of their company from Yelp and telling me that she "received a quote from another company that quoted the same amount of time for a move". She never provided me any documentation of this quote. While unpacking I found several items had broken, which I told Christy V. who never even acknowledged this fact. Her follow up emails to our conversation only increased in rudeness and hostility and only proved just how unprofessional she and this company are. I will never use AB moving again and would NOT recommend anyone else use them. They DO NOT care about customer satisfaction, only about getting your money. I used AB moving for my move in Dallas and I warn anyone who is thinking about using them to BEWARE. I had them load my items into a storage box to be shipped to Chicago and it was a crew of 3 men. I've moved numerous times and I was initially surprised how long it was taking 3 men to pack and move my things. Usually its takes 2 movers to move my 1 bedroom apartment in less time than it took these 3 movers, but I thought nothing about it. They did not wrap my furniture properly and they packed my storage container horribly. They placed bigger boxes on top of the smaller and more fragile boxes, they did not cover my furniture or the edges, and they did not securely pack the box. When I opened up my storage box, everything was in disarray. Because they did not wrap my items like my bed frame, entertainment set, end tables, and mirrors there was significant damage to my items and scratches and marks all over them. I was horrified to see that because they just threw my items into the storage, majority of my furniture was damaged. In addition, because they placed my bigger and heavier boxes on top of the smaller boxes, many of my boxes were damaged, crushed, and even wide open. Also, when the movers in Chicago tried to assemble my furniture, they realized that the movers from AB Moving didn't even pack the screws needed to put my bed and dresser together. Usually movers will tape the screws or bolts to the furniture they disassembled, but these guys didn't even pack it with my items. I then had to run to home depot to buy the screws and paid an additional hour of moving because of the extreme incompetence from AB Moving. LASTLY, when I tried to call them to complain and file a claim, I told an AB Moving rep what was going on and he basically said it wasn't their problem and hung up on me. I could not believe that was the response I received from this company. I am outraged, I have lost money, and my items are damaged and no one seems to care. They are unprofessional, rude, careless, and incompetent. If you want your items damaged or if you want to work with unprofessional people who do not care if their employees have ruined your furniture and wasted your time, please try them. The worst experience and worst moving company I have ever worked with. Address your customers with respect and try not to hang up on them. read more

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS MOVING COMPANY IS A FRAUD!!! THEY RUINED OUR FURNITURE AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO PAY, CLEAN OR GIVE OUR MONEY BACK!!!!!!!I used AB moving company on 9-17. I called and spoke with Kyle Sainz and he set up the move he was very nice and he sent me an itinerary of the move the next day. I moved from 1st floor to 3rd floor. In process of my move these guys broke 14ct gold flutes and other collectibles that i packed and wrapped down tight because they were gifts from my Grandmother that is deceased. They were throwing boxes and they dropped one of my husbands boxes to grown that was full of computer parts..We have micro suede furniture that they didn't cover. Now my love seat and Chaise lounge has severe damage to both pieces. I have GOLD LINES and BLACK CIRCULAR HOLES ON THE ARMS!! We were furious with the movers. They immediately told us not to get upset with them because they are just the movers!!!! They told me to call the office. Well i have been talking to Brent M Davis which is claim manager since Sept 18. He first informed us that he will have a cleaning company out to give an estimate. Well the guy came 3 weeks later and gave me an estimate of $351.82. He reported back to Brent who is an Asshole and every time we called he wouldn't come to phone. My husband and i are still fighting with this company. They are refusing to pay for damages and they are refusing to clean our furniture...AND THEY WONT REFUND OUR 250.00 WE PAID FOR MOVE. I AM NOW IN PROCESS OF FILING CLAIM WITH BBB AND HIRING AN ATTORNEY TO TAKE THESE CROOKS TO COURT!!!!!!! MOVERS LIED AND TOLD BRENT THAT THE FURNITURE WAS ALREADY DIRTY. I EVEN SENT PICS THAT I TOOK BEFORE THEY MOVED THE FURNITURE AND THEY STILL REFUSED TO TAKE CARE OF THE DAMAGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! I BOUGHT MY FURNITURE BRAND NEW AT THE ROOM STORE 5 YEARS AGO.....I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO UPSET!!!!! If anyone out there has had the same problem with this company please let me know. I had the absolute worst experience with this crew there were three men, I spent $40 on boxes and packed my entire home so all they had to do was load and move to new place. They came in and wrapped everything in layers and layers of wrap , things that didn't even need to be wrapped such as suitcases a latter crutches plastic drawers that had paper, it was simply ridiculous the layers of wrap that were put on unnecessary items. They took their sweet time moving my things into my new apartment they took so long that myself, my 12-year-old son and my guy friend started to help unload the truck and carry boxes and furniture into my home. That's what I was paying them for by the hour for there should have been no reason why we had to assist. They disappeared for 30 minutes while we were unloading and carrying boxes and furniture to my new place, I thought maybe they got stuck on the elevator so I go down and they are in their truck organizing their things and folding their blankets on my clock. Now just to clarify a year ago when I moved I hired oasis movers they were only two gentlemen I had a three bedroom three bath two story home, The two gentlemen came in and packed everything they drove from Addison to Richardson it was a 25 minute drive they even put my beds and TVs back together for me. A B movers only moved me from a two bedroom five minutes down the street, with three extra helpers moving them and did not complete my beds or my TVs. pieces of my bed we're missing I have a Tempur-pedic with a bedframe that massages and folds those pieces are missing and now my bed sits on the ground because they have lost those pieces. They took my furniture without my permission and kept it. All in all they took way longer than oasis movers, they were more expensive, and still didn't get the job done. when I called the corporate to complain they only wanted to offer me $95 back when my pieces to my bed frame cost more than that as well as my TV stand that they took cost more than that, I will never use this company again and I do not recommend them to anyone. read more

I had the absolute pleasure of working with the "Alex J/Jorge" Crew today - they were actually hired to move a friend of mine that lives in the condo down the hall from mine. As they were waiting for my friend to show up to start his move, my wife pulled up having just returned from Hobby Lobby with 3 pieces of furniture. We live on the 3rd floor and my wife is pregnant so I needed some quick help so I asked the Alex J/Jorge Crew if it was OK that they helped me and if they would like to make a quick buck - they were more than willing to help right away as it wasn't infringing on their paid customers time as he wasn't home yet. All 3 guys were so incredibly polite, professional, clean cut, and incredibly thoughtful. All 3 small and light pieces of furniture literally took them one trip up only and they were done in less than 5 minutes - I thanked the crew leader and told him to give me a moment so I could grab my wallet & he seriously told me not to worry about it that they were more than happy to help out my wife and I Bc she was pregnant! I was so incredibly thankful and amazed at these young men's character and thoughtfulness! So they went their way and started to prepare to begin my friends job and after a couple minutes of me searching for my wallet, I went back downstairs and paid these guys a fairly large tip (all things considered) & he tried not to take it at first but I insisted - it was so incredibly warming to see 3 young men with such great hearts and great character. AB Moving, y'all have done a great job at hiring these 3 employees and my advice would be to do everything you can to keep them for as long as possible and use their crew to train new employees because they are doing everything promptly, courteously, and with a smile - and not for one second did I think it wasn't genuine Bc these guys really were just glad to help me and my wife tip or not tip. To my shame, I didn't do much research before hiring movers. I went for the cheapest possible quote I could find. My first indication that my move was going to go smoothly was when I decided that the itemized list pricing option isn't really the way I should go. I booked AB Moving before I had really started packing in earnest, and my estimate on the number of boxes was a total shot in the dark. I called back AB Moving and told them I wasn't confident in my list, and they offered me the option of paying an hourly rate with a 2 hour minimum instead. I jumped at the offer because I felt a lot more confident that I could plan for that figure. I was told they would bring a 3 man team. They brought a 4 man team. This impressed me because the rate was now hourly...bringing a 4th person meant the total bill was going to be LESS than if they hadn't. Indeed, I did pay less - by about $150 - than I had budgeted for my move. I found the movers to be polite, professional, impressively hard workers. They had me out of my old place and into my new place in a little under 3 hours. That's in August in Texas, for pete's sake, with stairs to deal with at both locations. Nothing was damaged, nothing was left behind except what I had planned to move on my own. I was happy enough with my move to call the company and compliment the team, and to write this review (which I rarely do). There are some things to know: they don't move small items that aren't boxed, which makes sense to me, but if you want something moved, make sure it is securely in a box. If you want your clothes moved, put them in wardrobe boxes. You won't believe how convenient they are, and then there's no issue with AB moving them. It is true that there are some limitations on what they will move (no small items that aren't boxed, etc) but I was made WELL aware of what those items were when I booked my move. Unfortunately (for me), my current move is temporary, so I'll be doing this all again in a few months. I will without a doubt be using this company again for that move. read more

HOW TO INCUR THE WRATH OF A STORAGE FACILITY MANAGER AND THE FOLKS THE MOVING COMPANY MOVED: 1) Leave the customer's stuff behind. Granted it wasn't anything big but things like attachments to vacuum cleaners, unframed art work or pictures, lids to storage bins, and PADLOCKS are things that are aggravating for the customer and even more for the guy who has to follow along behind the movers and pick their trash up.2) Leave lots of little pieces of things behind like broken toys, beans(yeah...beans). 3) Leave all your trash like food wrappers, plastic water bottles, and drink bottles behind for the property manager to clean up. 4) Leave BIG pieces of trash and plastic in the hallways and in the parking lot. Do you guys have a clue who Al Gore is? He's going to be extremely upset when he reads this! 5) When you get to the client's house leave MORE trash in their yard and at their curb in their upscale neighborhood. The neighbors will love you for it(NOT!) and surely will get you lots of business referrals since the name of your company is so prominently displayed on the side of your truck. 6) Break the client's stuff when you move it and damage their walls. That will definitely get you called back and referred by the client to all their neighbors, friends, and business associates. I keep a list of moving companies that aren't allowed on the property for move-ins or outs for my customers because of exactly this kind of unprofessional conduct. I'll wait to see how they respond to determine if they end up "blacklisted" or not.Update: Let me clarify something for those reading this: The trash belonged to the MOVERS not the client/customer. It was the empty water and Gatorade drink bottles, plastic wrappers, pcs. of cardboard from moving boxes THEY left behind. I am no longer using AB Moving!! As you could see, I was once a happy customer but my last experience with them ruined it. February I used AB to move from my apt to my new construction house. It was a large move but I had confidence in them from the past. Upon moving a very heavy desk into my house, the movers managed to put a large hole in our wall! Initially, one of the managers asked us of we could perhaps say that it was a builder error and to have it taken out of my warranty on the house. Appalled, I told them that THEY were at fault and needed to fix it. From there, we took pictures and supposedly a "claim" was started. I received the emails with my receipt and was told that someone would reach out to me soon about repairing my wall. Days go by, and I hear nothing. I called the office and asked to speak to Kenny, since he is usually the one I deal with. No follow up calls, no answers to emails, nothing. We then decide to file a formal complaint with Better Business Bureau and only then do we receive a call back from Kenny. He apologizes and suggests that IF we decide to remove our negative review, that he would send someone out to fix the wall. I clearly explain to Kenny that that was not an option and with him being the OWNER of the company, he should be more empathetic to their customers. Kenny was not willing to do the right thing if it meant keeping a negative review, based on customers' experience and the fault of his company. So here we are moving forward with our BBB complaint and awaiting arbitration. All of this could have been avoided if Kenny would have gotten off of his high horse and resolved the issue initially. I feel sorry for anyone that has issues with these guys....they are VERY money hungry and as long as people continue to use them, they dont feel the need to fix the issues with customers that aren't happy.
