Had a terrible experience! Moved from a 3 bedroom home, minimal furniture, had 90% of boxes in garage and few by the door so it would be easy access for them. They didn't wrap multiple items chipped 2 dressers, dining room table, dining chairs, threw couch cushions into the back of the truck (damaged leather) and took 6 hours! When trying to get a hold of managment they ignored text, emails, and voicemails. Finally admitted they never used the movers they assigned that day. They did send someone out to fix items but was not the same. Very unprofessional will not use again. read more

Such a nightmare. We hired them to pack us up on a Thursday and to come the following morning to load the truck. The job they did packing was truly awful and they no-showed for the loading day the next day. When we booked with them, we explained our unique 4 hour timeline to load the truck on Friday morning before it left for a cross country move. They assured us it was no problem and they would work with our timeline. Five minutes before they were supposed to arrive, Adrian texted my husband telling him they were not coming as scheduled and asked what flexibility we had for the move. I called Adrian and he had such a horrible attitude. He told me he would "try to get a crew out this afternoon" when I expressed how upset I was and reminded him of our timeline he replied "I'm just trying to help you out here". Mind blowing - after cancelling at the last minute on a service they were hired to complete. The packing job was not much better. It would best be described as a bunch of guys throwing things in boxes as fast as they could without regard for what they were boxing. They charged charged us for a bunch of of wardrobe boxes and didn't use the metal bars across the top on most of them so when we were unpacking from our cross co move we opened the boxes to find all of our clothes wrinkled at the bottom of wardrobe boxes in a pile with broken hangers. Great. They also provided used boxes - silly me I thought paying for boxes implied we were getting new boxes. They also used packing tape that was so cheap and crappy that it didn't even stick. The day after our pack many of the boxes had become untaped without being touched or moved. Lastly, there was something really sketchy going on with the staffing. When the packing crew arrived they said they had a second staff that would come pack and that they would work off books but needed to be tipped. It struck us as a bit odd. We asked if they were employees of the company and if they were insured and we didn't get a straight answer. Used their services twice now, I can't give them enough credit on how professional, caring, and quick service they provide. They're exactly what you expect from a moving company. Don't let the pics in here disguise you, they don't use floor runners for hardwood floors or stairs and we have damages to prove that. Our move window was 11-2 & a crew member called me at 7.30am & scheduled to meet us at 11.30am. Waited till noon and no one came. So I called him & he politely explained how the owner changed his job and now he has to do a different job. He also said owner was supposed to call me & update. Since she never called, I called her & she said she's gonna check with her crews & call me back in 10 mins. Waited an hr and she never got back. So I called back & she asked whether it's ok to send a 2 man crew right now rather than waiting for 3 man crew. I said yea and waited another 30 mins with no call from anyone. I called back & owner said oh yea one guy from 2 man crew got injured. But she never called me to tell me that. It was 3pm when they showed up. And to top it off they charged us for extra 30 mins. I was not impressed with Movers Plus. I opted for the 3 man crew which costs $119 an hour. When I called and setup the reservation I was told that the only additional charges would be a $65 trip charge and a $10 fee to stop at an extra location to pick up something. Unfortunately at the end of the night when I got my bill they we're nickel and diming me for everything. I was charged an additional $40 for wrapping sheets. I didn't ask for the wrapping sheets and no one indicating that if the movers used them I would be charged extra. I also got charged and extra $10 as a credit card fee. I also was not told about this fee either. In addition to being charged extra, the movers showed up 1 hour late. We spoke on the phone and they informed me that they would arrive at 1pm. 1pm went by and no one came and no one called. I tried to call the main number where I made a reservation but no one picked up. I left a message and no one called back. Finally I called the lead mover and he picked up and told me he was running late and would be there by 2pm. Lastly, I think this company uses crews that work with multiple companies. One of the guys that came wore an AB Moving t-shirt. If I had wanted someone from AB Moving with their not so good reviews then I would have hired AB Moving. I wanted a company who used moving crews that were better but unfortunately I paid extra and ended up getting the subpar AB Moving crew I guess. All in all a really bad experience. This is the second time I have used Movers Plus. Eduardo is great at his job. He called within plenty of time for me to meet him at my storage unit. He is very organized and is careful with my possessions. When unloading at my new home, he and the other two men placed things where I asked them. Where do I begin with how bad this was? Scheduling was fine but that's where it ended. I was scheduled from 8-930am but I get a text at 919am saying there was a problem with the truck and they are working on getting another crew. I asked for an hour off my bill but she refused. That was the last message I got from Movers Plus even though I texted 7 more times. They finally show up at 11am. When I leave after they load their truck, I drive by their truck and the windshield is missing and the hood is up. I texted Movers plus and again they didn't respond. These guys saved my move. I initially went with a friend recommendation and got 4 lazy guys that had no intention of working, after loading their small Uhaul rental they abandoned me after the first load, saying they had to return the truck. I frantically called this place and got 2 incredible movers that moved me in less than two hours at midnight in a dark hallway. They did an incredible job; they were friendly, on time and ready to work. Had Movers plus moved me to begin with, it would've been done in half the time and half the price. Wonderful movers - took all the stress out of my move between apartments. I received a very reasonable quote, and they were even happy to correct a slight price discrepancy on the invoice without any fuss. I had a two-man crew for my one bedroom apartment move, and they had everything loaded, moved, and unloaded like absolute pros. I used Yelp to find the top movers in the metroplex and Movers Plus kept coming up at the very top regardless of my criteria. I decided to get a quote for Movers Plus and one other company and not only did Movers Plus come in a little bit lower, but they did an amazing job! The team that showed up was first class and paid special attention to fragile furniture and other items. In some cases they reinforced the wrapping and padding on certain items to make sure that there were no unpleasant surprises. The team was very organized and worked together very well, proactively identifying needs and addressing them before they had an opportunity to become an issue. Moving is stressful enough, even if everything goes according to plan and you should do everything that you can to ensure that you have a smooth and trouble free move. If I ever move again I will definitely call Movers Plus and will certainly strongly recommend them to any friends who are in need of excellent mover. read more

Moving sucks. It's stressful and mentally exhausting. Plus I was already so scarred by the experience of moving halfway across the country that I never wanted to move again...until I did, a whole 4 miles away from one Frisco neighborhood to another. First off, I must thank Yelp for directing me to a great move experience. Initially I was in disbelief that a moving company would have 5 stars, but when I saw great reviews from Yelpers on my friends list I was cautiously optimistic. SIDE NOTE: Make sure when you request a quote via Yelp you uncheck the box to get quotes from multiple businesses. That was annoying. Anyway I called and scheduled them and they gave me the Yelp deal and the hourly rate. I also asked them all the questions: Is moving from a place with a lot of stairs going to cost more? NO Is there a charge to reassemble my furniture? NO Is there a charge to wrap my electronics and large breakables? NO So it's an hourly rate and to prep for that I tried to purge. Sorry Marie Kondo, but it didn't happen. I love my stuff. All of it. Handbags that have been retired? Keeping. Outfit from Coachella that should never again be worn in public? Keeping. Self-Help books that didn't help? Keeping. Old phones? Yup, even my Sidekick. Who knows what personal information could be extracted from that thing? So they called the morning of the move to let me know they were about 45 minutes away, which put them at the beginning of the hour and a half arrival window I was given. They were quick and efficient and all I really needed to do was stay out of their way (I took the dog to daycare). When they started unloading at the new house they were sure to ask about the placement of the furniture (and the boxes that were oddly labeled by me the night before at 3AM). My move went quickly and easily, and there were no crazy hidden charges or add-ons, it was exactly as discussed when I booked it. The final bill was actually less than my mental estimate. Oh, and the movers were super polite and professional so for that I thank them - some of the crew who moved me from CA have been trying to add me on FB and Insta for like 2 years now. Adrian was great. He's super responsive and communicative. We had a big house but a short wove We asked for a 3-man team. We got a 4-man team so we were excited thinking it would go quicker. The crew was a little older but they all were courteous and took good care of our belongings. They ended up taking almost 8 hours. We even had our teen boys helping and carrying things. But, we were just moving to the other side of the neighborhood. Honestly I don't understand why it took that long. They were nice but slow. They would move a little faster when our boys would step in and start moving things to speed the process. They give a discount if you pay in cash but you CAN also pay with card. Yes I moved twice in 2 months! I really appreciate how kind the management team is and how responsible they are for their crew's performance. I was def frustrated though that one mover out of the 3 man crew managed to break ALL of my beautiful crate and barrel dishes worth about $100. This crew did better than the last one in terms of the lead was very careful, laid down protective blue carpet so my floors don't get scratched, and fast worker but one guy on his crew was lazy, Angry or not able to move or something and he would Slam down my boxes so I'm pretty certain he broke them. My mother had to tell him to stop and be careful especially when I wrote fragile and fishes all over the box. Sigh. People. I sent the images to the office manager who responded and insists on compensating me, which is not what I am after. I just hope there's a way people can just be more understanding and respectful of other people's things. I packed them very very carefully with tons of tissue paper and bubble wrap for a reason. I still would recommend this company just because they are responsive when there's a problem but I hope their crew feels inspired by the owner and manager to be more careful. The team was slow in starting and the lack of hustle was concerning. Carrying items to the truck took 3 hours but the drop off was quicker which resulted in a 5 hour move. The pace was picked up at the destination house. I requested 2 guys but 3 showed up. The pace in the beginning was so slow I called the company. The manager asked if i requested 2 or 3 guys. I said 2 so he had 1 guy wait in the truck?!? Childish and not even my fault that 3 arrived in the first place. I was worried since it took almost 1 hour to make 2 trips to the truck. That being said, they did wrap the furniture which does take time and the elevator at the apartment is slow but still... 2 trips to the truck in 1 hour. That prompted my call to the company and subsequent 2 guy reduction. The movers were young guys. Honestly, while they are less expensive than most movers, one would expect equal service versus running down the clock. Otherwise, for the less time but more money may be worth it. I intended to generously tip the movers but performance did not warrant plus what should have been a 3.5 hour job took 5 hours. This is my first time hiring movers, so I didn't quite know what to expect. That said the price + reviews here were the best, so we gave them a shot. We allotted for 3hrs to move on a Saturday, and they were to arrive between 2pm-5pm. Huge window, but they did say they'd call 30mins before arriving. 1:30pm our phone rang (surprise, surprise!). We were moving, but to two separate locations. So we color coded the boxes to make it easier. When they arrived, they were ready to work. Within the first 5mins there were two obvious cons 1) There was a language barrier between 2/3 guys, which meant we would always have to wait until the guy who spoke English to come back and translate. 2) Lacking house etiquette. They came in and grabbed a bunch of our paper towels without asking, just to wad them up and use them for a door prop (which failed by the way). They also brought their own water bottles, and left them in the hallway (trash) when done. Overall, our move went pretty smooth. So far, no items have been found broken. Furniture was in tact, no scratches. They wrapped everything up (TV's, Furniture, etc.) They used a plastic wrap, then once in the truck they used blankets. I felt they could've moved a tad bit quicker, or been more efficient. (Phone breaks, using a dolly for a lamp) and etc, but hey, everyone gets tired. They were able to be at my place in 30 minutes. Emanuel and his crew did an OUTSTANDING JOB! They break down the furniture and wrap each peice with blankets and plastic. They worked so hard and fast! Don't let the good reviews fool you. I made an appointment with them today to have them move my stuff from 4-6PM. I called around 4:45 to check on the status and they said that they were delayed with another customer and would get to me around 6PM. 6PM rolls around and I'm still waiting. At 6:30PM I call the company and the movers multiple times and no answer. It is currently 7:05PM and I still have not received a call or text about whether or not the movers are on their way. I work a 7-4 job and do not have time to be waiting for them for more than 4 hours. Very unprofessional and do not recommend this company. If you're going to be this late, at least call to me know or re-schedule so I'm not wasting my time sitting around for 4 hours. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. UPDATE: I called the next day and they re-scheduled me for Saturday morning (today). The day before, I get a text confirming my move and all is well. Then, this morning, I get a call from a guy saying MoversPlus has transferred me to their company but they can't move me this morning so if I could reschedule AGAIN. I am typically very busy with 2 jobs and I cannot keep rescheduling my life for their incompetent staff who can't meet scheduling needs. Definitely would NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

I was skeptical at first because the price was on the lower end of the quotes I received, but with their good reviews I decided to give it a shot. Throughout the entire process Adrian and his guys were very responsive, helpful, and willing to assist/accommodate all of my questions/concerns/and changes. Most importantly, when I let Adrian know after the move that some of my items were damaged, he made the entire claims process pleasant and easy. He was very apologetic, thorough, and compensated me well above what is legally required in under 2 weeks. He even went out of his way to ask how i would like to receive the funds! Movers Plus did the right thing by the customer by correcting the employee's mistake and hopefully addressing it so that it will not happen again. The manager that answers the phone is really nice and helpful. That's about the extent of my positive experience here. They were competitively priced and I chose them based on the original customer service experience and ease of booking. My move window was from 8-10. quoted to be done in less than 2 hours (typical of my prior moves) and wanted a 3 mover crew to make it go faster. The service was written for 2 movers which I didn't catch in advance (this is ok). By 10 no one had called or showed up. I called in and they didn't know where their driver was and would get back to me. Hadn't heard anything back so I frantically called other movers. At 11 a guy just shows up with a teenager and said they asked him to fill in and that he brought his son to help and to learn the business. No one else was coming. I called concerned about this and was assured the teenager was of age to work and it was ok. It took them almost 3 hours (really long considering my average move and I don't have full furniture sets). I was supposed to be moved out by noon. They either dropped or it fell in the truck - an almost $400 filter (over 2' tall and holds water) that they didn't wrap or protect in anyway. The inside components broke and the outside was dented. I called and was told to send in pics (I did) and they said someone would be out to take additional photos and see for themselves what's going on. The same mover called at 7pm and said he would be out in an hour and by that point it was really late and I wasn't home so we agreed the next day- he never called or showed. Long story- working with the office- back and forth with photos and proving it was broken, I had to call multiple times with no follow through. Finally they agreed to reimburse for the additional hour and the replacement filters. I still have a dented filter. And got dinged for a late move out. They assured me they were working on it just not communicating it. And it ultimately was resolved. I get things happen. But sending a contractor with a teenager is not the professional movers I was contracted for. It was a ton of stress and took a lot of time to resolve. I personally won't use them again in future moves and can't recommend them based on my experience. read more

Had a great experience with Movers Plus. Adrian worked with us to schedule the move of two full storage units over two days. Eduardo's crew showed up on time both days. They worked diligently to unpack the two units that our previous mover from Houston had packed in pretty haphazardly. They worked fast, but carefully and safely. Once the shipments were delivered to the house they made sure floors were protected and also asked where every box should go. Very professional service at a nice price. We hired Movers Plus to move from our Townhome to our new house. They were extremely professional on wrapping, and taking care of the furniture, as well as the house walls and floors. They are prepared with mats, plastic, etc. We had everything ready for them, packed and boxed. They just needed to load the boxes and furniture. They were somewhat slow, and i know it was on purpose because I heard them saying between them "nos la llevamos tranquila".. meaning, "we won't hustle". Then my wife, who was waiting on the house, called me saying they were going really slow moving stuff into house.. once I got ther, they started moving faster. So if you hire them, you're just going to be pretty much standing there supervising, if you go somewhere else, they will take their time, remember they get paid by the hour. Anyway, overalll. The only reason why I'm giving Movers Plus 2 stars instead of 1 is due to my previous experience, back to back, in November 2018 (resulting in 3 moves). With the experience I had in 2018, I did not think twice to use Movers Plus again, but was left disappointed over the moving experience I had now which is a complete 180 from the amazing 3 moving experiences in 2018. Speaking with Christine and scheduling was very easy, especially when my move date had to be three times due to closing date changes for a home purchase. With 48 hour notice, I was able to get my move scheduled. With two apartments merging (same building, different floor) and a stop to a storage facility, I was disappointed with the following: 1. The move took close to 8 hours. When I spoke to Christine about this - 2 days after the move - she mentioned that each apartment (2bdrm) takes about 4 hours each. Even when the 2nd apartment packed up and only required loading. 2. When the movers connected the washer and dryer, they did so incorrectly (or in the case of the dryer - not at all), causing flooding in the laundry room (what prompted me to call Christine and express all my concerns). When we sought the leak issue, we found that the movers had not connected the washer. When I spoke to Christine, she mentioned air pockets may have been the case. However, with the dryer - it wasn't connected at all. 3. Three times the movers attempted to use their dolly to go up a carpeted stairs. and three times we had to stop them to prevent damage to the first step (hardwood flooring) and the rest of the stairs. Unfortunately, we experienced dent damage to the first step. As an aside, they did not use floor runners for the stairs, only for the first floor. 4. Our leather sofa was scratched 5. From storage to final destination (1.9 miles between storage to home) movers drove 17 mph on a 45 mph zone. I contacted Christine and shared my concerns and disappointment; expressing verbally, and via text, that I was not seeking a refund. Per my conversation with Christine and upon receipt of my images containing the damages. she was to contact the department to manage my damages (hardwood floor and sofa) and her last communication via the last text, she was to share the images of the damages with Kalie. It has now been 2 weeks, and I have yet to hear from anyone from Movers Plus. With this experience, and lack of contact to discuss my disappointment, I booked another moving company for the final move and am recommending them moving forward. read more

I am glad I only have had to move twice in the past 20 years. Movers Plus is the worst managed moving company in DFW. I contacted them to get a quote for my move. They are quick to respond and give me a quote. They informed me that they were a woman owned business and that they were the movers that "truly care". I was excited about using them so I hired them. They confirmed my moving day and assured me that a team would show up between 8:30-10 am. At 8:42 am, Kalie, the owner, texted me to let me know that the crew had an emergency and would not be able to show up. She assured me that she already had another crew scheduled to come by from 11-2. No big deal on my end as long as they show up. At 11:20 I texted Kalie and informed her that the crew had not shown up. It had only been 20 minutes past 11, but I was getting nervous because I needed the move to happen that day. Kalie immediately responded that she would see where the crew was and let me know. Tick tock, tick tock. At 4:27pm I texted Kalie again to see where they were. At this point she is ghosting me so I called her and left her a very nice voicemail explaining that I needed this move to happen and to please update me on the status. Crickets for another hour. Now I am losing it so at around 4:45pm I send her another text with just a "?" No reply. 10 minutes later I texted her again and asked " is this a scam?" No reply. So now I am furious and confident that this moving company is not legit. So I called her again and did my best to be polite, but not so much. I threatened to give her bad reviews on every site I could think of if she did not respond to me. Another 30 minutes go by and nothing. So I texted her again and told her she had 30 minutes to give me an update or I would hire someone else. Crickets again. Then one last ditch text stating " you have 4 minutes left to respond". Almost immediately my phone rings. I answer and it is a very nice gentlemen who was apologetic and told me that Kalie has thrown him in the middle of this. I assume because Kalie is a coward and did not want to speak with me. I was excited that someone had gotten back to me so I was still ready to go through with the move. The gentleman advised that he was working on getting me a crew for the next morning. At this point it did not matter since the move was not going to happen and I had no other movers lined up anyway. He was very. I e and told me that he would update me every 20 minutes until he found a crew to move me. Guess what? 8:37 pm, 3 hours later, I text the gentleman and ask the status of the crew. He apologized for not responding every 20 minutes as promised. He told me he could not get in touch with Kalie and feared she might have fallen asleep and therefore could not get back to him. I proceeded to contact every mover I could to try and get someone to move me the next day. All My Sons responded, quoted me, and told me that they would have a crew at my house first thing in the morning. So I texted Movers Plus back and fired them. What a crap show. If Kalie had just updated me throughout the day all this could have been avoided. She is the worst business owner I have ever dealt with. Amazing movers. Take their time, but are extremely efficient and take care of your things! Would use again and highly recommended.

Originally our time slot was from 12-2 with a 3 man crew but we got a call that morning after closing on our home that out original crew was held up at another job. They offered us a 2 man crew to come out more quickly & we gladly accepted that. Christine made it right for us & sent out a 4 man crew & only charged us for a 2 man crew. These guys were the friendliest moving crew I've ever worked with! They were done right at 2 hours & it was a great experience. read more

Horrible horrible experience. and I meant to put 1 star Will never use them again. Two young guys who I was told was professional and some lady with them that was suppose to be supervising them. First they arrived late and so confused on how and where they should park that's a story within itself The appeared to be starting out fine then about 30 minutes in I start noticing I was not seeing the second mover. So I asked and stated they were moving to slow which the lady advised me he was downstairs organizing the truck so I went down there and couldn't find him in the truck around the truck anywhere. I stated they where moving to slow and I started taking stuff down myself and stated I will never use them again. They mover heard me and said forget this it's too hard so he started taking my things off the truck and putting them back in my apartment now remember they stated the where professionals. It's so much went wrong I could right a book. Please don't be fooled by these reviews this is a unprofessional and lying company. Notice I had use them before and they where excellent with the two older men they sent and they worked a ring around these young men moving me into this place but all they did was make excuses What the did was running the clock to make more money and I hope the enjoyed it because they will never get another penny from me.
