I only had a few items to move just a few miles across town and one of them was a table with a small drawer attached under the top. They packed it in the truck on it's legs which were the weakest point. They could have easily inverted it on its top instead and moved it that way. Needless to say, the legs were broken and the drawer was stripped out of the wood. The crew then made remarks to me that the table was cheap, and the legs were loose already which are both false statements. The insurance claim gave me $50 for the $300 table. I scheduled a move and advised the rep I had a lot of furniture and items to move and needed a large truck. I was told they had large moving trucks that would hold my household items in one trip. That was not the case. The truck was not large enough and they had to make two trips causing more expense. The young men that moved me were not experienced movers and caused damage to my furniture. Move day was stressful and long. The move was almost $2k for a 1600sf house. I do not recommend this company to move if you have nice furniture and a lot of items. read more

We had brown box movers come to load our 2 Pods on two different tomes. When the first team came out to pack the pod it did not work out well because they just didn't take the time to do it correctly; actually it was a mess.. But when I called them back and we discuss this very nicely and professionally, they came back, with a different team, and and did a superb job. Then the second time they came and packed the pod they did another superb job. Solution, communicate with them and make sure everyone has an understanding that you want this pod packed effectively so there there are no spaces left. One suggestion is to watch a YouTube on how to pack a pod. Then when they do pack, they are very happy when you help them. We help them and just brought out all the boxes and it was just flawless. read more

Outstanding service from my moving team which included Grayson, Justin and Zack! I called at 3:30 p.m. on a Tuesday when another company didn't show up. Grayson, Justin and Zack arrived by 4:00 p.m. Wow! Yes, you read that correctly, they arrived thirty minutes after my first call. Grayson explained everything and they got to work. I had trouble keeping up with the three of them and all I did was direct boxes. They unloaded six U-Boxes containers that were tightly packed to the brim in under three hours! Scammers, quoted me totally different price via email then when they got here (before even entering my home) they doubled the price. I only needed a glass table top moved from my garage to my dining room. They quoted me $138 dollars over the phone, then once the job was pretty much completed they demanded $300. Once I referred to the original quote, they changed it and then tried to gas light me into believing that $300 was the originally quoted price. I never would have agreed to pay $300 for such a simple task. I definitely feel scammed and would not recommend this company! read more

I packed everything before hand, mostly just needed help with the big furniture. On moving day, Steve and Courtney showed up and moved everything into their truck and then into Uhaul Ubox shipping containers. They played the most amazing game of "Tetris" to get all my junk to fit. Only 3 small items wouldnt go, but those went in my car with me just fine. These guys were rockstars!! Best movers I've ever used! This review is over due for sure since we used them in December but I've recently had a lot of people ask for suggestions on who to use and I keep recommending Brown Box. They really stepped up when we needed them. When we moved in December my bf hurt his back a couple of days before the move. We have a lot of heavy stuff so that left me and the movers... really just the movers. We originally needed them for 2 hours but they ended up staying WAY over that and didn't leave until the job was completely done. The entire staff, including the people in the office that generated my quote, were very professional and friendly. When it came to moving day, the crew called to inform us they were on the way and showed up ON TIME! Absolutely loved the service! We had Wayne, Zach and Burt move us from a two bedroom apartment on the third floor to a house. They were amazingly professional and kind. I was very concerned knowing I would be by myself when they came but didn't have to worry about a thing. They worked hard and did their best to make sure nothing was messed up. Brown box movers is a cute company they do have a nice truck not a very big track and you can get two guys or three guys however you are going to be paying for the hour they are extremely extremely slow... I had a one bedroom apartment with a garage and it took them five hours they also mixed everything up between the garage and the apartment and took twice as long to separate it once we got to the other place so just note to self if you use these people you're going to be paying for an additional three hours probably this is also with my family helping them load by bringing stuff to them at the track read more

The owner of the moving company, when I reported the disappearance of the guns, turned and walked away from my front door saying, "Brown Box Movers has no more service for you." My claim was denied. First off let me say the movers were good however, I called a few days before my move to ask about what forms of payment they accepted and was told that they take all major credit cards and cash but no checks so with that being said someone was paying for my move and gave me his credit card to use for the move. It wasn't until we got to my new place that I was informed that it was cash only! I did not have any money on me or in the bank and was going by what I was told days before the move. I had to call a friend to bring me some money....I tried to call several times and he hit end every time - I asked the guys who were moving my stuff if they could contact him and I was told no. He would not answer my call so I waited until I was at work and called from that number...low and behold he answered. When I asked why he told me they accepted credit cards and then was told cash only his response was "I don't recall having that conversation with you." WOW!!!! This owner or whatever he is...is a crook and a liar. If I had known it was cash only I would have had it on hand!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!! I HAD TO HELP GET MY THINGS OUT OF THE TRUCK SO I WOULDN'T BE CHARGED ANYMORE...I DID NOT ANTICIPATE DOING WHAT I HIRED SOMEONE ELSE TO DO....I HAVE HAD BACK SURGERY AND WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE MOVING ANYTHING. Disappointed is the kindest word I can find to describe our experience. We contracted Brown Box Movers at a flat rate to move several items less than 5 miles. Not only were the movers unprofessional, they were dishonest. When one tried to do the right thing admitting he had left part of the bed behind the other stated we have done our job and are leaving now. Nothing was covered as they moved it in the rain and our bed was set down not once but twice outside ruining the mattress cover.
