I had excellent service from everyone at Marvel Moving they should rename it Marvelous Movers. Reggie and his crew were quick and always in motion this is not a group that slows down to extend time. We not only used them for our home but after seeing their work my son scheduled them for his move in a few weeks. We have and will definitely hire them again in the future. Dwight in the front office was courteous and easy to work with, from the time of requesting a quote and booking the move. Due to scheduling I had to change the date and dwight was quick to follow up to confirm the change. they called to notifying us with there arrival time and were within minutes of that time. They were careful and respectful with all of our things and they were careful with the items and the house. Due to a complete underestimation item on my part they were able to adjust their schedule and returned the next day to help me load some items into a POD and move the remaining items. Definitely recommend!!! The two young gentlemen were fast, efficient, friendly and kind. Showed up on time, smiled the entire time, and so quick to help with anything up to the last minute. (I believe it was Reggie and Josh?) Great with our stuff; our previous movers (different company) had banged and scratched some of our things. Dealing with Dwayne on the phone, he was personable and caring--especially when I had to change the move date multiple times! Costs were comparable to other places, but they had more personal process and did not require a deposit. I would highly recommend them... I heard about Marvel Movers through groupon and got them for 2 hours. These guys were great. Dwight helped me book the appointment and was generally very nice. On my move date (October 27th) Justen and Michael were my movers. They were a little late but called to let me know in advance. Once they parked the truck I walked them through my apartment and showed them what I would like them to move. The time was written down and they quickly moved everything out in under 30 minutes!! They even offered to help me load some fragile items (TV, lamp...etc) into my car (by my request) because of how quick they could move things. Unloading didn't take much time at all and they placed everything exactly where I asked. Total time was 1 hour 30 mins to move 1 bed, 2 side tables, book shelve, a huge couch, ottoman, TV entertainment center and table/ chairs. The only reason I am not giving them 5/5 stars is because part of the couch was off the metal track in the back (not done on purpose). I didn't notice until my boyfriend pointed it out and we tried to fix it. The following day I called and Chris told me they can send one of the movers out to fix it. I called the following day to check up on everything and he told me that Justen (the original mover) would come out on his day off and they would pay him! Good for them! So I coordinated a time with Justen and it took him under 2 minutes to fix it. Overall I was very satisfied with the team Marvel Movers assigned me and I would for sure use them again! read more

To start from the beginning, I have used this company over 1/2 dozen times, and I have initially gave them good reviews, however during my last move, to include my neighbor's move, (Mark Marion) who lived 2 houses to the south of me, have seen a RAPID DECLINE, and outright egotistical, non-resolving customer service from MARVEL MOVERS. The specific mover (Reggie) that prides himself to be part owner of the company has changed dramatically! During my last move, he has damaged 3-4 pieces of my furniture, and outright refuses to take any ownership. Although he is outgoing and friendly, he no longer watches going around corners, nor does he care to. He is too busy talking about his personal life, arguing with his significant over the phone, and at the end of the move, he is not grateful for his tips. He specifically told me after handing him $50 this past move "THAT'S IT?? I MADE $100 DOLLARS LAST WEEK DURING ANOTHER MOVE"! Also, the move was contracted out to take 2 hours but because of their goofing around, and they claimed it was too hot outside, it took twice the time. Again, a little success and a few good reviews, and its gone to their head..especially Reggie's. I attempted to resolve the issue by speaking to (Chris-owner) and he laughed and what Reggie did, promised that he would speak to his employee, and follow through the next day, but never did! I attempted to call 2 more times, with no avail. The WORST PART... I contracted out my move, and my neighbors move, and after he moved my belongings, and later spoke to my neighbor about his part, he was DISGUSTED! He reported the same with the WORST part being that Reggie charged him another $200 on top of what was contracted! So, if you don't care about your furniture returning the way it was initially loaded, the egotistical trips of the actual movers, the grips and complaints about the tips not being high enough ($50 ??) and last but not least, the company changing their contracts 1/2 way through the move, then go with them... otherwise, fine a 'Good' company that will FOLLOW THROUGH on what they claim, demonstrate PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR, and at the end, chose to VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS, after all, their are customers out there that will take the time to type out a long review such as this one to save the heartache of future customers in search of a GOOD MOVING COMPANY! This company moved our belongings as promised. They were friendly, and courteous and I would highly recommend. Two guys and a very new larger sized truck showed up and they did all the heavy lifting. They secured everything down even tho we were just moving across town. They charged us by the hour so make sure you know how long it will take because the overages are very high. I had an excellent experience hiring Marvel Movers for my apartment move from Fort Worth to Dallas and would definitely hire them again in the future. Dwight was courteous and easy to work with to request a quote and book the move. I was given my preferred date right away and was told they would follow up the day before to issue an arrival time window, and that was how it occurred. I received a notifying phone call from Reggie when they were about 45 minutes away from my location and they arrived within the pre-arranged time window. Reggie, Ronnie, and Jeremy worked expeditiously to move all of my furniture and boxes. They were careful and respectful with my vintage furniture, and they made conscious efforts to be gentle and not to ding or scratch anything. I did not even need to point out any delicate items specifically with them - they are simply that conscientious. For the complete loading, drive, and unloading, they remained within their quoted time estimate and fee for the move. When I unfortunately forgot that this service requests cash payment instead of check, and their credit card reader happened to be down that day, they were very kind and patient for me to drive to the ATM to retrieve their payment. I would not have faulted them for getting a bit testy or inpatient with me for that, but they were very patient and understanding. (Please learn from my error and obtain a proper cash amount ahead of time to pay these gentlemen.) If you have vintage or sentimental furniture and are wary about movers being indelicate with your items, then book your move with Marvel Movers. Awesome movers! Reggie was very professional, fast and treated out belongings with care. I never had to worry about anything as Reggie and his partner were very careful with everything. The years of experience really showed watching them pack and unpack the truck. No space was wasted and they worked every minute they were on the job. I typically do not post about businesses and the services rendered however after receiving such TERRIBLE service, I would like to share with you all to prevent you from experiencing what my husband and I experienced. If you are looking for moving services in the near future whatever you do please DO NOT use Marvel Movers. We learned of this company through Groupon, the company was offering a promotion for 2 hours and 3 hours moving services at a discounted rate. Now I would say that the movers that showed up at our home (one named Blake) was indeed very professional. During the move our 40inch Samsung television screen was cracked. Blake apologized and told us that "they will get it taken care of" and he provided me with the owner of the company, Chris Lakey's phone number. Initially when I first spoke to Chris he seemed very kind, he asked me to email him pictures and told me someone from the claims department would contact me. After a few days of not hearing from Chris I reached out to him. Here's how he treats his's customer: 1. He hung up the phone in 3 times in my face. So I called him from my work phone and received no answer. He called my work phone back (not knowing I have caller id) and when I stated my name, he hung up again. 2. My husband called from his work phone and Chris tried to disguise his voice. 3. I called him back and told him if he hangs up in my face one more time that I was going to show up at his place of business (needless to say he didn't hang up again). 4. Then he ask me for my bank account number and he will $150 into my account for my TV (of course I refused that offer) 5. Chris Lakey then started yelling at me "how much money did I want?" I stated I do not want any money I just want my 40 inch Samsung television replaced and I told him he can take the cracked television. 6. Then Chris Lakey told me that I was a joke...to actually think that he was going to replace a television that was purchase 1 year ago at full price. ( Mind you that I just wanted the same television replaced, I didn't care what store or how much he paid for it....I just wanted my same 40 inch Samsung TV). 7. Chris Lakey then said that the mover Blake said the television was cracked before he moved it. My husband called Blake to see if he stated that to the owner, Blake denied it. 8. Chris Lakey then accused us of extortion and told me that I sent him 3 obscure photos and he did not believe me. Initially when my TV was cracked, I was not upset...accidents are bound to happen. Chris Lakey the owner of Marvel Movers insulted my husband and I on so many levels. Not once did he ever apologize, or try to physically come to our home and see the damage of my television, let alone did he act in a professional manner. Marvel Movers moved about $10,000.00 worth of furniture/ belongings and for Chris Lakey to accuse me of trying to come up off of a $500.00 television, I am still in disbelief.
