We used Texas Blue Line Moving to move a 2bed2bath apartment (2nd floor) in Dallas to a 3bed2bath home in Forney. I was slightly nervous because they are SO much cheaper than any other company. Ray's attentiveness and professionalism beforehand helped me feel confident though. He communicated and was responsive, responding to texts immediately. He even confirmed the day of and was flexible with arrival time. On the day of the move, Miguel and Jose (I think, sorry guys!) arrived on time and immediately got to work. They had my entire 1300sqft apartment loaded in the truck within 60 min. They were safe in their driving, but not slow (as I had read other companies drove slow to add more time). When unloading, they were helpful to make sure the correct boxes were in the correct move. We could not believe how EASY they made our move. Start to finish was 2.5 hours including drive time. Ray and his crew were amazing from start to finish! Not only are they professional, fast, and reliable, but I LITERALLY PAID HALF of what all other moving companies were quoting me. They arrived on time (I chose morning), were careful and efficient with all my large furniture and "fragiles" (I own multiple pieces of original art), and very nice and courteous. No down payment was required, and no "hidden fees" for heavy items, mileage, etc. (I was moving from and to a single story, so I don't know if extra would be charged for stairs). This company would totally be a 5 star for me except for one little thing: while the guys were moving my couch- it got a rip in it. Now for me it wasn't a big deal, this couch was old and I didn't really care. Other than that- they did a great job and were WAY cheaper than other companies. For the first time ever in the history of me and movers- they were actually on time in the morning to get the move started. They were professional, super nice and conscious that I was paying by the hour- so they hurried for me. So, new to Yelp and I am reviewing a few places I used recently. I moved 3 weeks ago and a friend gave me a card for this company. The guys were great! I have used several moving companies over the years and I was super impressed. 1. THE GUYS SPOKE ENGLISH! nothing against speaking another language, but I dont and from experience, that can really complicate the moving process. 2. THEY WERE A LITTLE LATE - about 25 minutes, I was scheduled for a 1:30 arrival, at 10 am they called and said they would be about half an hour late. I appreciated the heads up. 3. The price, it was very reasonable. Not scary cheap, not ridiculously expensive. It was $180 total and I moved a 1 bedroom apartment from 3 story townhouse (ridiculously hard to navigate, which is why I call movers LOL) 4. NO DAMAGE! They wrapped everything! I was soooooooooooo happy to have not so much as a scratch on anything. Soooooooo.....I am very happy with the service! I will definitely use them in a year when hopefully we will buy our first home. When I first spoke with Ray I notified him of the contents of my move and he told me that everything would definitely fit in one load. When the crew was wrapping up, they had yet to load all of the clothes and several boxes and pieces of furniture into the truck. I was told it was full, so I went outside and checked the truck myself and noticed that there was plenty of space left in the truck...at least 8 feet. They managed to fit my love seat and desk, but nothing else. I was left to move everything ourselves, defeating the purpose of hiring movers in the first place. I was told that the crew would help transport things such as mirrors, washer/dryer, bed frames and that the move included disassembly and reassembly. The morning of the move, the crew did not want to do these things and I was stuck wrapping pictures and mirrors in my own packing materials, thus eating up my time and additional cost. Upon arrival at my new location, the bed was thrown where I told them to place it...we assembled it later on our own. The washer and dryer were not connected as promised and also we discovered that they were damaged by your movers and their method of packing. I noticed on several items including the washer/dryer and several pieces of furniture (some of which are antique) that clear PACKING tape was used to secure them during the move. Packing tape was wrapped around several of our items and when I went to remove it, the finish was stripped off of the furniture. Some of these items are very old family heirlooms. I have a very nice and expensive, NEW, couch that must have been crammed in the back of the truck because now the frame of the couch squeaks constantly. It appears that the supporting frame was damaged in the move. When it came time to move our things to the new apartment, the crew didn't even know where to go. I had to drive at 30mph down the highway so that they could follow me and not get lost. I was also told that I could pay the total balance on my credit card, but when it was time to collect, the mover told me that I had to pay the gas charge in cash. This was never discussed with me. After I questioned this and the motive, he finally said that he would be able to accept the entire payment on credit card. Something doesn't add up here. Overall, we are very disappointed in the quality of the move. When I tried to contact Ray after the move to address these issues, he completely ignored my emails. I would never recommend using this company unless you want to get swindled. Don't be fooled by any special pricing they offer because you will pay for it later in damaged goods and time. read more

Best moving company I have ever used! Called into their office and spoke with David I believe. He was extremely helpful and got me an awesome quote in a just a few minutes and had me scheduled in no time. I have tried out several different moving companies in the Dallas area over the years and this one by far was the best for me! I will definitely use them from now on! They showed up right on time and got everything moved really quick. It was 100 degrees out but they just kept on trucking like it was nothing. Do not do business with this unprofessional company. Yes, they are cheaper but the headache associated with dealing with them isn't worth the savings! I hired Ray's team to move my mother last weekend. When the moving crew showed up their trailer was already half full with another person's furniture. They were scheduled to deliver this person's belongings later in the day. Needless to say, there was not enough room to move all of my mother's furniture as a result. I was assured they would complete our move the following day. However, a different crew showed up...late...and attempted to charge me more than I had agreed to. Ray had offered me a discount for my inconvenience but this new crew would not honor it. They even tried to make me pay additional "fuel" charges for the second day! Poor customer service! First off let me say that the manager Ray sent movers he knew from my area because he said it was to far for his guys and they were to busy. I was told the movers would be at my apartment between noon and 1. They called at 1045 to say they would be here in 30 minutes. I told the guy I wasn't finished packing yet. I still had to remove my clothes from the drawers. He said no problem. I could pack while they loaded the truck. He said they would stop to eat to give me more time. At 1140 they called to say they were at the gate and needed the code. I gave him the code to get in and directions to my apartment. 5 minutes later he knocks on my door and I let him in and show him what I want moved i told him I only wanted the big stuff moved and I would take care of the boxes and toys later. He said no problem and that he would be right back because he had to move his truck and find the best spot to be able to move my stuff easily. There were 3 side by side parking spots right out front of my building. I went ahead and loaded a bunch of clothes and stuff into my car. 30 minutes later I went looking for them and called them back at the number they called me from. No answer and no truck in sight. I called Ray and left a message asking him to call me right back. Another 10 minutes go buy. I call the guys again. No answer. Call Ray, no answer. At this point I've figured out that they left and are not going to move my furniture. I call and text my apartment locator Donna Lee at big state locators to let her know what has happened and to tell her not to pay them. She immediately responds that she forwarded the text to Ray. Ray calls me 1 minute later to ask what happened. As I started to explain he rudely cut me off to tell me the guys called him and said I was to unorganized and had to much stuff for 2 guys to move safely. I'm a single mom of one living in a 2 bedroom apartment. I don't think a bed, dresser, 2 night stands, couch, love seat, dinning room table, washer & dryer, curio cabinet and TV is to much for 2 for two men. I asked Ray if he could send someone else to help me move my furniture to which he replied. " I don't want to. I sent those guys and they do not want to move you because its unsafe for them and I cannot make them. You have to find another moving company and wait for the rebate from Donna. Get things more organized and out of the way so you font have this problem again." He did give me the name and number of another moving company and suggested I Google moving companies in my area. I explained my situation to the other company and he was appalled to hear how iIwas treated by ray's team. He told me to call big state locators since he also dies moving for them and see if she would approve him to get the check for my moving expenses. 2 hours later I have not heard from her. Ray did apologize for the guys leaving without saying a word but said there was nothing he could do. To me Ray with Texas Blue Line Moving, Inc. was very unprofessional. I cannot and will not recommend this company to anyone. Since I wrote the first part, more very unprofessional behavior has come from this man named Ray. This morning he called and said my review is unfair to him because it does not include the movers name. Since they never told me their new I could not include them. I asked him for the names so I could add them and again a song a dance saying he would talk to thier boss but basically not give me their names or what company they actually work for. Ray threatened me that if I don't remove this bad review in 10 minutes then he is calling the new movers (which he did give md the name and number to) and tell them the condition of my furniture and that his men refused to move me because I had flies in my apartment. He also threatened to call my new apartment complex to tell them and make sure they do not accept me as a tenant. He said that if I'm going to write a bad review and stick to it, then he is going to do the same and cause some trouble for me. I called last Tuesday, because the other moving company that as scheduled was double booked, spoke with Ray, and he was able to get a 3 man crew together and move us on Thursday. My husband said they never stopped working, and did an amazing job! They wrapped every piece of furniture with blankets, there was not one thing broken. Little did Ray (the owner) know, my husband is a Realtor in the DFW area, and he said when his clients need a moving company, Texas Blue Line will be his go-to company. I've moved a lot over the last several years, and Blue Line is my favorite! They got me scheduled for the date I wanted and clearly explained the pricing structure ahead of time. When I called I spoke with Ray. They were late to my apt for the pick-up, but Ray said there was an oil leak on the first truck, and he didn't want to risk it breaking down, so they squeezed me in on another truck's schedule. Ended up being about 3.5 hours after the initial appt time, which yes, was annoying, but I'd rather that than a broken-down truck! When they got there, they were very apologetic for being late, both of the guys spoke English well, and they had my 1 bedroom apt packed in 30 minutes! Total move was about 2 hours. And when we got to the house, they actually asked me where I wanted boxes, and they put them in the rooms that I labeled them to be in! And you can't beat the price - I paid $140 for the two hours, plus I tipped them $20 each. Cheapest move I've ever had, yet the best quality! I am not at all happy with the service I received from this company. The movers were nice, they loaded the truck with my furniture fairly quick and then told me they had to go get more help unloading my furniture. They took my furniture in the back of there truck all over TX and when they finally made it back to my new residence with 2 younger guys who were moving very slowly and texting and talking on the phone while working. They broke several of my items (Large Picture, picture frames, vases and candle holders). I called the company and spoke to a Ray (Owner or Manager) who conference the main mover (Monu) in & he stated they broke my large picture which I had for several years and never got broken until this co. (TX Blue Line Moving) came along. Ray then said he would submit a claim back in June of 2012 (for the Large Picture only) and I had to call again in Aug, 2012 b/c claim was never submitted by Ray and he had me email him pictures of the broken picture back in August and said he submitted the claim and gave me a claim #. I have made several attempts by email and phone and still no reply. Today is 10/31/2012 and I have not heard anything or seen a claim check. I tried calling & emailing Ray to get the name of insurance co. to check on status of claim myself but phone # was changed and no reply back from several email attempts. I will never use this company again or recommend this moving co. to anyone I know. read more
