Midnight hour did a fantastic job. I used Midnight with full service where they came with their truck, loaded, transported and unloaded items in the respective rooms. I had limited items remaining in my home, mostly large items such as washer dryer, beds and mattresses etc. that I wanted moved to a location 15 minutes away. They arrived on time, and once they took a look at the items to be moved, confirmed that the time estimate that I had provided (while overriding the hire a helper phone agent) was good and they did not expect to spend more time. I could see that they diligently wrapped the items in protective lining, even the items with some pre-existing damage to make sure there was no further damage. They also uninstalled, and then at the new location reinstalled my washer dryer perfectly. Overall, I paid exactly what I expected and the service was outstanding. read more

There are too many photos of damage to post so I have selected the most costly. Damaged antique wicker, broke driveway gate by trying to push it open and admitted to it all. They are refusing to pay for anything so you've been warned. I am in regret mode and have already consulted my family attorney. In response to Marcus, the gate DID NOT CLOSE ON YOUR TRAILER! I have not used the gate for 1.5 years but the gate has only operated 5 months of that time. Better get your facts straight. Used this company to move in good faith. The movers were really nice and respectful. We even tipped them for all the hard work. During the move for whatever reason they ended up breaking a piece of furniture, no big deal In call the manager to report it and he said .60 a pound for the damaged product. All we ask is for our item to be replaced. We paid the total amount and will have to file a claim. I wouldnt reccommend this place. I would not use this moving company. I had them move my washer and dryer to my new house. They did not wrap the washer and dryer when the loaded it in truck and when it got to my new new resident the door to the washer would no longer close. They lied and said they told my son at the old house when the only time he spoke with my son was when they unloaded the broken washer at my new home. When I tried to file a claim the denied it saying they did not damage it and that it was damaged when they loaded it. I had 3 people there who all said the doors on washer and dryer were both closed when the movers loaded it in the truck. I saw their trailer the other day and I thought they would be perfect as we're getting ready to move and have a tight schedule around work and home closing. Their truck said they have 24 hour service. I'm willing to pay for the convenience of having someone show up at an odd time. I called them to ask if they could move some heavy items to storage and they wanted a detailed list of exactly what needed to be moved and said they would move no more than that. They only had afternoon slots available and when I asked about the 24 hour service the lady told me they DO NOT have 24 hour service. Maybe they need to fix their signage then. I asked my husband to call them with the details of what needed to be moved since he is taking some items in his truck. When he called to book the lady wanted to know the square footage of the storage unit, how far a walk from the truck to the storage unit, and other odd questions then she said they couldn't do it. I called another company (with great reviews) and was able to book right away with no odd questions asked, they just gave me a rate for movers by the hour which is what I'm used to having moved several times. read more

My daughter and her spouse hired these guys to move them from my house to their new one. While moving a mattress , the movers broke a wall sconce. Disappointing, but stuff happens. The lead mover took a few photos and sent them to the boss and assured me that all would be taken care of. That turned out to be not true. The response I got from Midnight Hour was that they sent " a guy" to Home Depot and he didn't see my wall sconce there, so there wasn't much they could do. They did suggest also that they could buy something and drop it off and I could put it up myself. ( I'm not an electrician ) Finally, Marcus called me and explained that he didn't have much profit in this job, and so he wasn't going to be able to do much. Wow, good thing they didn't run into my wife's car I guess. I ended up going with this moving company through youmovefree. I was given a free half hour, and quoted 2 hours for a total of $180.00. This was an easy move. We went from a first floor, pre-packed and boxed storage unit, down the road to my apartment to move a couch to the dumpster and pickup a few boxes, and then off to Dallas to a first floor apartment less than 20 feet from the loading zone. The 2 guys were very nice. My guy has far less patience than I do, so he got annoyed when a box fell of a table in the storage unit during the move, breaking a few mugs and 2 plates even though they were bubble wrapped. No big deal to me, replaceable items. Also, lost a wheel to a very old wooden chest but the movers found it in the storage unit and made sure I held onto it to make sure I could have it reattached, which I did. I ended up moving some lose items like tv's and art in my car for safety. The guys weren't super fast, so my guy helped move items to make sure we didn't go over in time. I basically sat in the air conditioning and offered water. My guy was annoyed by the pace because he felt they were trying for more time, but it was done in the EXACT time quoted, not a minute more so I ignored him. I have no complaints and would recommend the service. My only suggestion after everything was placed in the apartment is actually for myself, that I should have been more verbal about which rooms the boxes should have been placed. I basically just let them drop stacks of boxes in the living room because I was just overwhelmed but some super heavy ones should have been dropped in the kitchen or bedroom. I was referred to this company by my family. They used this company twice prior to my move and I figured they were the best fit. WRONG!! When I made my appointment over the phone I mentioned I had a $2800 vanity with glass top and mirror included. I also had a glass mirror side table with 3 drawers. I told the movers when they arrived as well as the woman I spoke to over the phone that I needed them to be very careful with it. I even asked for additional insurance for it so nothing would happen to it. They tell you not to leave when they are moving which is reasonable and because I was there I know there was no prior damage. They damaged my vanity by stacking it on top of each other and cracked my mirror on my glass Chester. The metal things they were using to move was making their push choppy and they kept hitting curbs and the edge of the moving van where they would walk up. They then tried to say the damaged was done PRIOR to the move but that's not true. I would have seen my mirror when it was brought out and said something IMMEDIATELY if it was damaged. I saw with my own eyes the man had stacked my vanity on top of one another. They are EXTREMELY heavy pieces of wood. Midnight Hour moving tried to say the damage came from bags. HELL NO!! Bags can't dent or damage a vanity, A WOOD VANITY at that! Bags were filled with clothes by the way. Nothing metal or heavy in any bag could ever do that type of damage. The bags were also put in the very back of the truck whereas my vanity was on the other side strapped to the side. How can bags jump from one side to another to dent wood? I filed my claim to receive some type of compensation and they denied it saying they weren't responsible. Why would they go so far as to ask me for the model number of my vanity and link where I got my vanity from just to deny me? They saw the price of it, that's why! If there is NO DAMAGE prior to the move and afterwards there is damage, something happened while my items were in THEIR possession. I do not recommend mom and pop movers because they won't take accountability and they will deny all claims even if they know they are wrong. I spent $400 plus tips for both movers. I am very unsatisfied and will stick with actual heard of companies that move. At least they can afford to replace what was damaged. (I also had professionals pack the unit my stuff was in, and I have photos from their move that nothing was damaged AND I was there for that move as well) Lastly, my move was on May, 8th. I am just now receiving anything from them, July 10th. I have been reaching out to them and they obviously only care about money over their reputation. Update: Obviously you are the owner and will back your workers as expected. Don't act like they don't make mistakes. Shit happens and you acting like they're perfect ain't helping. It was very easy to make an appointment, and the lady also called back near the move date to confirm it. The phone call itself was quick, covering the important details and they gave the price up front. The crew called ahead and came on time, and they were professional, courteous, and efficient. I didn't have too much stuff so the move took under an hour, it was a hot Texas summer day and they never stopped to complain about the heat or the work, little details, but all the more appreciated. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! BED BUGS IN THE MOVING TRUCK. I struggled with the decision whether to write this review simply because of how embarrassing it is to have to deal with this issue but then I realized that I'm the victim here. I have nothing to be ashamed of. So here it goes... I actually went through an online agency called umovefree.com and they connected me with the above mentioned moving company. At first everything was amazing. The move went off without a hitch and I received the first 2.5 hours free of the move. However, after they completed the move... the next day there were bed bugs all over my daughters box spring, the entertainment center and on top of a few of our moving boxes. I instantly threw out the items and contacted the moving company immediately. The first time I contacted the moving company was on Saturday Oct. 6, 2018 and left a message with the operator and she said someone would get back to me on Monday the latest. However, I had the misfortune of calling back and getting the owner of the business "Marcus" and he proceeded to tell me that he would not be taking responsibility for the bed bugs in my apartment and that its not his fault but he offered to bomb his truck so that it didn't happen to another customer. I offered to have him come inspect my previous apartment that I am still in possession of and the current apartment that I am in to let him see that neither place is the issue nor do they have bed bugs. He declined. He didn't offer to pay for the pest control or for the replacement of my items that were lost. It is now 10/31/2018 and I haven't heard back from umovefree.com or this wonderful moving company but I did however speak to the pest control company that had to treat my brand new apartment. Guess what they said?... The bed bugs had to have come from the moving truck. There is NO evidence of an infestation prior to me moving in. That's so funny because the apartment I moved from said the same thing. No bugs present at all. My daughter is still without her damaged stuff and sleeping on the couch. Never will I ever move myself again! I have used Midnight Hour a couples times and try to recommend them to people whenever I get a chance. They have flat rates, no extra charges for the amount of stops you need to take or the floor you live on. I have heard horror stories about movers now showing up on time or all together and these guys are always super prompt and efficient! I received two confirmation calls prior to my move date, was given a window of 7-9am... at about 8:15 I received a call to let me know the crew would be arriving in 30 minutes. The guys (Brandon and Troy) were on time, introduced themselves, had me sign a little bit of paperwork and got to moving! I had 3 stops total on my route, my house in south Irving, my storage in Las Colinas, and then my new apartment also in Las Colinas. They moved all of my belongings in about an hour and 40 minutes. No BS time in between. I wanted to help them but they were moving so quickly and seemed like that had a pretty good system down so I didn't want to get in their way. They made sure to ask where I wanted everything placed and didn't bang my belongings around. Once they were done I paid them, I think it's cheaper to pay them in cash, and then they went on about their business. Cost me about $250 after it was all said and done. I would absolutely use them again and if you are in the market for movers I would encourage you to use them too! read more

If I could give this company a zero I would. It was two movers that moved my 1 bedroom apartment. The "lead mover" was so rude, complaining the whole time and it was very clear that he does not like his job. He did not use the proper packaging for my bed like I asked him to(which i provided) and damaged my mattress. The movers also damaged my loveseat (broke arm) and I had some glass kitchen vases damaged. The company clearly does not want to pay out "a penny" so they are automatically on the defense about anything that you claim they damaged. A representative by the name of "Marcus" was very passively aggressively arrogant and rude in his email communications with me from the beginning of me submitting my complaints. I was a bit confused about the process and instead of him "correcting me to ensure that I was not still expecting a result" or to make sure that I was clear on the process" he did not. Instead he passively sat by and let 30 days pass just to tell me that my "deadline" has passed from the "minor offer" they presented and now all my claims are closed. I made it clear to him that I thought my claims were in process, even after me emailing him to ask the status. This company is lazy and they partner with Umove for free to try and get money out of customers trying to move. But if they damage your items, be prepared for them to try to evade responsibility down to the penny. They only paid me $47 for my mattress but they are trying to escape responsibility on my couch and they denied my vases blaming it on "the way I wrapped it". read more

Got scheduled with this moving company per UMoveFree, very easy scheduling and communication with the company themselves. The two movers were very kind, unfortunately the job has left me with a banged up nightstand and crusty/scratchy couch that smells of coffee. Biggest issue now is the couch. When it was brought up the elevator and into my apartment I noticed some discoloration at the front sides and all along the base, upon touching it the couch was drenched in something and smells like very strong coffee. Now after renting an upholstery cleaner/vacuum, the smell is still very strong and will probably need to be replaced. First time using a moving company and very disappointed. (Pictures attached of nightstand and couch discoloration) **Update on 12/6 After a bit of back and forth via email regarding the claim, they sent me an offer of $67.. They cover themselves with persuading you to sign the lower line of a "faster" move but still taking care of select items. I would understand if it was my washer leaking to have caused the issue, but due to a personal beverage of the mover I am left with not even 1/4 of the price of the couch. Lesson learned. read more

BEWARE! THIEVES! The moving crew went through the personal belongings in my nightstand, and stole $320 cash I had hidden between paperwork in the top drawer. It was obvious they went through these drawers; items were not just shifted from the move, they were in complete disarray. This cash was placed in the drawer the night before moving day with the specific intent of paying the movers. I've pulled everything from these drawers, gone through every piece of paper, and even pulled out the drawers to check behind them. The money I placed in there was definitely stolen. I spoke with a manager at Midnight Hour Moving, I don't recall her name, but she tried to suggest the money fell out. Uh no, the nightstand was saran wrapped when it went downstairs to the trailer and it does not have any holes that would allow items to fall out. She then stated there's nothing she can do and told me to file a police report. What do you mean there's nothing you can do?? You can send me a check for the money you STOLE! I've since spoken with the police and filed a report. I will also be contacting the BBB. This move was scheduled through UMoveFree, who always do a good job. I've informed my move coordinators of the situation and recommended they never use this company again. They have taken my comments to the owner of the company. We had really wonderful movers. One of the men, Matt, was extremely skilled. He worked fast and efficiently. He knew what he was doing with every piece of furniture and appliance that he moved. He was paired with a newer hirer who was not as skilled. He was unsure of what to be doing and how to move a lot of the items. He stood around and waited to be told what to do, rather than ask and get it done. The amount of time seemed to be more than we had expected for 9 pieces total. I think if we would have two experienced movers the total time would not have been as long. One thing that I thought was extremely smart was calling the office before and after the move. We booked the service over a month in advance and checked with Marcus multiple times to ensure the time and schedule were a priority. We received conformation emails and text. We were scheduled for a move on 10/3/22 and were told that the movers would be there between 8:00-10:00am. At 9:30am Marcus called and said that they were running late and would be there around 11:00. At 11:20 we received the call. We were told that they would not be able to move us AT ALL!!! Over an hour AFTER they were supposed to arrive. When I stated that this was unacceptable, the owner Marcus then began to berate me verbally and eventually told me to "f@$! Antique furniture, adjustable king size bed and 2 big screen TVs maintained their integrity in the move **** fast forward a few months and completely unsatisfied. Decided to use services again, based on previous experience and not only did a simple job take 3 + hours, our freezer door handle was stripped. The worst! Smartass answers when I put in a claim that the movers intentionally broke a very expensive floor lamp. Totally rude attitude the day I moved (from them), and has never been business-like or even nice. It was a Fking nightmare. My friends and I decided to help or this was going to cost some major price since he was moving at the pace of a snail. Is this the same lame a$$ insurance that offers me 37.00 bucks for the 800.00 lamp I WATCHED YOU BREAK ON PURPOSE?? AVOID these movers at all costs. You can't get a good answer from them on anything, the owner spends more time trying to think of something funny to say in response and there is nothing funny about anything you have said as of yet.
