I was looking for a company to come out and do a deep cleaning of my home in preparation for renters. Midnight Hour came up on my Google search. The pricing seemed reasonable and there was an additional discount listed for cash paying customers. After reading the Yelp reviews on their moving services, I assumed there would be the same level of service for their cleaning service. I called the company to make an appointment and was excited to hear that there was availability the date that I needed them to come. When I was told the pricing, I pointed out the pricing listed on the website. I was quickly informed that the pricing on the site is a misprint and would not be honored. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I was speaking with the supervisor. I was also informed that the pricing had already been changed on the site. I am looking to find a company that I can use each time a renter moves out. This could have been the beginning of a long-term relationship and referrals to others I know. If this experience is an indicator of their level of customer service, I am glad that I found out early. read more

Do not use this company. They show up drunk..they left in only 45 minutes and Marcus who claims to be the owner had this to say... "Sounds like we tried. We grabbed what Anthony told us to. I need a video before I can send a crew back out. Cause right now it sounds to much like back peddling and empty threats. I have no problem taking care of something our company screwed up but this sounds like a customer screw up trying to get the company to fix it on companies dime." Yet they claim to be about customer service. He refused to send a crew to do their job. Marcus claims his movers were told to move a few things and leave...you are smart people...why would someone moving apartments do that when they have 2.5 hours of free moving? And they were given in writing what was to be moved. I don't see the confusion and his story does not make sense. I did not threaten him to get him back...I asked and I quote" what are you going to do" then he offered a solution...which of course he backed out on. His movers are lazy, they don't want to work and they are unprofessional to the extreme. He is trying to save face. Use your own judgement but be ware. read more

These guys arrived on time and were very helpful and professional. Both worked fast and were really friendly and in a great mood the entire time! They padded and shrink wrapped everything we asked them to and were very careful moving all items so as to not damage anything. The movers were on time and worked very hard. My complaint is not with the two guys who moved but with the girl who answers the phone. I asked the movers to take my mattress to the dumpster and they also threw away part of my bed. When I called to ask about the missing parts, the girl who answers the phone said I told them to throw away the bed; so, if the bed was so important to me I should go get it myself. She never offered to do anything to resolve the situation or even to apologize. Terrible customer service! This is the response I was expecting. Defensive. I explained to the girl that I was 30 miles away and could not run down to the dumpster. Amazing how this company can't just admit they made a mistake and offer to help make things right. read more

This moving company did an outstanding job of moving me from Mansfield,TX to Frisco,TX in under 3 hours basically. And that was with a stop in Frisco to pick up a washer and dryer on the 3rd floor of a storage unit. The gentlemen were extremely friendly, professional and accommodating! Started out great but once we got to our moving location one of the two guys said he was tired and stopped working. It would have taken several hours for one guy to move all of the stuff. So since we were being charged by the hour My wife and I had to get out and move our own furniture. The company credited us back one hour. When I told the office what happened the response was very Will not be using this company again. Update: It's all about perspective. My wife and I returned to only see one guy working. The other guy totally disappeared. I totally understood it was hot, however this would not be an issue if there was clear communication. If someone from your office gave us a call and told us he was tired and exhausted I would have totally understood. I am a business owner with over 150 employees and I understand about protecting my team, however I make sure I always communicate with the customer so we are all on the same page. We received no communication so we did not know what was going on. I hope this is a learning lesson that communication is everything. And for the record.... if were cruel then we would not have made sure your guys had food or plenty of cold water to drink so please don't play the humanity card. We used MHM to move from a storage shed to a second floor apartment unit. We had Emmanuel and Daryl move things and they were great. We met the guys at 11:45 (we had a 9-12 window but the office kept us updated). The scheduling and charges were very clear and the office called multiple times to confirm everything and also check on how the actual move was. Midnight Hour Moving SAVED my butt!!! I originally arranged for 24 Hour Emergency Movers to come Saturday - 4 guys between 12-2pm. 2 guys show up at 5:30 with furniture still in their truck....uh oh....this is NOT good. While the 2 guys go to the Goodwill down the street to unload the furniture they have...I start frantically calling other moving companys. Every company on Yelp was booked up for weeks ahead until I reached MHM, which my friend Sharon A had mentioned to me a week before but I thought they were too expensive given the rates online. I called around 6pm Sat afternoon and they said they could have a crew out the next morning between 7-8am!! I couldn't believe it...so I called the pathetic company and fired them and told them to go home. The next day, MHM guys showed up at 6:55am! All 4, on time and with 2 24ft trucks complete with handtrucks, professional company logo shirts, furniture wrap and pads. They started immediately and didn't stop to take a break until finished loading at 8:30 and then we all headed to Dallas to unload at our new residence. They unloaded just as fast and the entire move was $500 cheaper than 3 other companies quoted me! I would recommend these guys to anyone. To agree with a previous review, these guys absolutely saved me. My husband and I had just completed a 2-day cross-country drive with our moving and truck and were running several hours behind schedule. It was late enough when we got in that we didn't have anyone to help us unload the truck. We placed a call to Midnight Hour Moving and they had 2 fellas at our place within 30 minutes. They unloaded the truck so quickly it was unbelievable. The price they quoted was super cheap as well. I couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience. I've always done the U-Haul route of moving before so was honestly not sure what to expect. Midnight Hour was set up by umovefree and I was so grateful to not have to call around and negotiate and set things up. We got a call the morning of the move that the guys would be a little later than originally thought but given both the weather the day of the move and the fact that there had been a major accident in front of them on the road they came on (completely not something they could have anticipated) it wasn't a big deal. Holy Cats these guys had HUSTLE. I couldn't believe how quickly they emptied the place out and packed it into the truck. And when we got to the new place (this was a 2nd floor apt to 2nd floor apt. move) they zipped everything right up into the new place. It was phenomenal. Both guys were VERY polite, respectful and careful with everything. I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently they accomplished the move and how professional they were about handling the business part of things. On top of that, they took all my furniture apart,which was totally unnecessary (I've moved these furniture with friends before and we never need to dismantle the sofa like they did). I gave them guidelines since it's been done before but they didn't listen. Of course, they ran out of time to put them back together and they charged me extra time that they wouldn't have needed if they didn't go overboard. This was my first experience hiring movers after 4+ moves. And I don't think I will ever go back to doing everything ourselves. The booking process was easy; I called midweek to book for that Sunday. I got a reminder/confirmation call on Saturday, and even a call Sunday morning to give me an more exact time (within the 2-hour window I'd already received) to expect the movers. And they were exactly on time. Once the movers arrived, they literally never stopped moving the entire time they were working with us. Their pace was very fast, almost jogging back and forth to the truck (even with a dolly full of heavy boxes full of my husband's books). Keeping in mind we were paying by the hour ... they were definitely not taking advantage or trying to make more money. Granted, we were not taking all of our furniture from our one-bedroom apartment and only moved 10 miles away, but I was SO impressed that they got everything done in just two hours. If we ever move again, I am definitely calling them again -- in fact, probably for help packing and cleaning as well as moving. They are just so efficient, it's worth it to pay them for a few hours' worth of work rather than us spending 10x the time doing it ourselves. read more

I've moved many times and used various companies. This time we moved from Keller, TX to Cypress, TX (north west Houston). After researching moving companies for a few weeks, I decided on this company. And I'm glad I did! Here are a few reasons I picked them overall: 1. Their website was very informative, not a fly by night site you see a lot of times. 2. Email response was lighting fast. 3. His email quote was good, but had no problem sending someone out to give us a better estimate. 4. I noticed Marcus tried to respond to all reviews, even the negative. We hired them to do packing for us as well. They communicated arrival times clearly, for both events, move and pack. They did give a range of times they would show, but on both respective days I was called and informed of their arrival times, they also called and let me know the packing crew was running late, and gave me a better eta. Nothing wrong with that, and spot on! The day of the big move. We used a 4 man crew with 2 24' trucks (4 bedroom house). I had everything ready for them, and a minor amount of stuff that was loose and I wasn't sure what to do with. They showed up early, and ready to work. All 4 guys were uniformed, experienced, and friendly. They were also helpful in letting me know my wall paintings, and decoration that was not packed would be better off in my car. (Awesome!) I noticed they also removed lightbulb's, and lampshades and ask that I pack those before moving. All my furniture was blanketed and plastic wrapped and carefully loaded, we had no damage that we could find. This was a full service move, they disassembled beds, and unhooked washer dryer. As well as set them up and had them ready at our new location, all we had to do was unpack. Everyone had a great attitude, I even noticed Marcus stopped by to check on things before they left town. The two guys (Damon and Earnest, maybe? I've slept since then) that they sent to do our move were really great. They were on time and worked quickly. They loaded efficiently and there was never a case of one standing around while the other one arranged things on the truck (a concern of mine with going with hourly people). They both always seemed to be moving. Even when the nosy neighbor came over and was determined to be in the way. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. I can't go with a full five stars for the simple fact that I did end up with a few damaged pieces. I know some damage is to be expected and none of ours was major, but I felt there were a tad too many oopsies to go a full five stars, if 4.5 were allowed I'd have chosen that. However, I will also concede that there was less damage than had we tried to do the move ourselves. (I'll also add that none of them were worth even notating to the crew or the owner just to give you a perspective on how small they were) read more

It took 4 hours to move a one bedroom apartment. Two guys and actually it seemed like one guy had to do the heavy lifting by myself. They were extremely slow and one guy was having to explain everything to the other guy. I was told they are constantly training. I didn't expect to get one good guy and a trainee. They said he had been with them for awhile. I complained and they gave me 1 hour free. I had to beg to get my bed put together and the back to my sofa and chair put on. They didn't place my furniture because they ran out of time. My bed and dresser were left 12 inches away from the wall. I had to move everything into place by myself. It was the worst moving experience I've ever had. This was the second time I used this company and I can tell you it was night and day comparison. I will not use them in the future. I used this company through an apartment locator that gave me a free move! The three men who came were very professional and super fast! It was supposed to be for a 2 1/2 hour move and they were able to get it done in less than 2 hours I believe. The only thing I would suggest is maybe try and pack up the truck a little better.. one of my bar stools ended up a little broken, but it wasn't a huge deal.. Called on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and asked to speak to Marcus and was told he would call back-3 days later...No call back. Team has made it very difficult to get my items repaired and the only thing I asked for was for the chairs and fridge to be fixed and I would cover the rest of the items out of pocket. Midnight Hour gave me a reasonable estimate to move two rooms of furniture from a home in Farmers Branch to the second floor of a home in Carrollton. I described in detail my concern about moving our armoire style entertainment center up the winding staircase, and was assured they were professionals and could handle it. In fact, the company partially accomplished the move. They arrived on time, carefully wrapped the furniture, and moved it to the other home. The armoire, however (which was the main reason we hired pros instead of moving the items ourselves) was left downstairs. The company collected for the move and said it would cost nearly twice the original estimate for them to come back at a later date prepared to move that one piece up the stairs. Please be careful of this company, and ask MANY, MANY questions, or you may end up like me - STUCK with a half-finished job. read more

Hey, Marcus, I hope you respond to my review!! :) I was just moved last Friday and I LOVED the work they did. I ordered 2 men and a truck and luckily for me a third man came. Manuel, Caleb and I can't remember the third person's name. I'm sorry! They were a little late for the arrival time but I received a call from the office to let me know and it was only about 30 minutes difference from when they thought and this was the day it started snowing and so I was just happy they weren't canceling. Anyways, they all came in and I walked them through the house. Now mind you, this was a 4 bedroom with two king bedroom suites, 1 queen suite, and an office including two living rooms each with their own couches and accessories. I was quoted at about 6 to 7 hours for the move but when all was said and done it was about 4.5 hrs they got it done in. Not once did I see any of them lolly-gagging around or even taking a break. they were very polite and let me know their policy regarding TVs etc. I see someone posted a review about them dropping their plasma TV and how they didn't get reimbursed for it and totally blaming the company. HELLO....SHIT happens and that's why you sign the extra insurance box BEFORE they start. If you seriously have something that valuable and that expensive, why wouldn'y you get the extra insurance for just a few bucks?? They are human and accidents do happen. I feel like that went above and beyond to help me. I didn't have the original box to put my flat screen in and thanks to the jerks that probABLY ruined it for the rest of us they weren't going to be able to move it. UNTIL Manuel said they could load it into my personal truck for me and I could drive it myself, knowing they weren't responsible for it. That was fine. They also let me know at the end that the truck was full but they put all the heavy and awkward stuff in their truck and left little stuff at the house. They could have made two trips and charged me another $100 an hr for some lamps and crap I could move, but instead let me know and gave me the option to decide which I appreciated. On top of that, they helped me load stuff into my truck knowing that was work they wouldn't be paid for and didn't have to do. So I would say this is a GREAT company to use. One of the movers commented about normally working for another company and how they would have taken the whole day to move my house by first taking an inventory of the entire house, writing it all down, and then moving, essentially costing me hundreds of dollars more. I was very pleased that Manuel discussed with me the fact that they would need to do a second trip if I really wanted them to move the little things that didn't fit. They were masters of Tetris because they somehow got all my crap from a 4 BR home into that truck and didn't mess up anything. So to anyone wondering if they should use this company, the answer is YES! But if you have some valuable things that you expect to be moved, pay the few extra bucks and get the better insurance. Don't be cheap and then pissed that something got broken. Last time I checked, the movers were human and this is a really hard job! read more

This would have been a five star review had the company shown up during the scheduled window of 8AM-10AM. They showed up at 12ish. Needless to say i was PISSED. The actual movers JD and Anthony were very down to Earth and respectful. JD explained everything to me and they started immediately! I was a little anxious about the time but they literally moved me from Crowley to East Fort Worth in 2hrs and 7 minutes. That includes taking down and putting together multiple beds. Summary:Takes longer than it should; damaged items; exceedingly poor customer service. Details: We had two movers; one was an experienced/professional mover and the other was clearly very inexperienced. He had to be given instruction over every move detail and had to mainly carry the smaller items. Result? The move took longer than was necessary and some furniture was damaged. This situation was not right for either my family, the customer, or the experienced/professional mover. The move was poorly organized. I would expect that when we are paying for the move by the hour that two experienced movers would be sent. On the other hand, I completely understand moving companies have to train people. But this should not be at the inconvenience of the customer - the extra time it takes for a trainee should be at the cost of the company and the customer should be compensated. Plus the move should be done with extra care so the trainee is not damaging furniture. The worst part of it? The customer service. I first filed my complaint and then asked to speak to a person in charge. Wow - that supervisor takes complaints personally! I would expect this moving company to be used to frustrated customers, but they need some serious training in this department. She treated my complaint dismissively and informed me that the movers had not reported that one was inexperienced. She treated my complaint like it was made up. And when I used a frustrated tone during the conversation due to how the complaint was being handled, she accused me of screaming and threatened to hang up. Really? I was shocked. Surely I am not the first frustrated customer! I have never been treated this way in the past. AT&T, Walmart, Amazon, and countless other companies have a customer service that far exceeds this company's. They understand customers will get frustrated and handle it with skill. They also don't assume you are making things up... So, if you don't care about the quality of the move or care if the customer service is very poor, use them. Good luck with your move! read more

I cannot say enough great things about this company. The new apartment complex I moved into offered 2.5 free hours movers service as an incentive. I wasn't sure what to expect but from the beginning they were professional, courteous and extremely helpful when setting up my appointment time, even when I had to change my move time, they were able to accommodate me. They notified me about 20 minutes prior to their arrival. Vincent and Thomas arrived and got right to work! They were extremely polite and efficient. They wrapped my sofa and all my things to insure nothing got scuffed or damaged. They were amazing and packed up everything very quickly. When we got to my new place, they unloaded everything extremely fast, reassembled my bed, made sure all of my boxes were in the right rooms etc. They are extremely hard working individuals. As a single woman, I never felt uncomfortable being alone with them, professional all the way. I am now unpacked and can happily report that nothing was broken or damaged and everything is here and accounted for! You have some great employees in your company and I wouldn't hesitate to use your services again! All my coworkers and friends kept asking how my move went and I kept telling everyone that it went great.
