Wow! We used Midnight Hour movers for the first time this weekend and we were blown away! These guys, Gamblin and Josh, busted their butts in 100 degree weather moving all our stuff. Let me tell you, we have some heavy items and they moved everything no problem. AND with great attitudes and friendly service! These guys literally made our move memorable by getting the job done right, efficiently and made us feel like our money was well spent. Nothing was broken or damaged and they treated our stuff as if it was there's. I felt like I needed to hug them once they were done because they were that amazing. Moving is zero fun, but these guys make it less painful. I moved with them a couple week ago and on the day of service I received a call within my morning window and was informed that they were down a crew and would be running behind. Plans change and life happens so I appreciated the courtesy call and wasn't upset about this at all. We had the pleasure of working with Emmanuel and Josh and boy do these guys know how to hustle! When they showed up we reviewed the paperwork and then they got right to work. The company has a couple of different insurance options and Emmanuel went over each one thoroughly. They charge by the hour and we've all experienced people who waste your time, but that could not be farther from what I experienced with Emmanuel and Josh. They were literally running back and forth when they didn't have super heavy things. They didn't stop for water or a bathroom break or anything despite my offering. They took excellent care of our belongings and wrapped things in plastic wrap when necessary. When we got to our new place Emmanuel whipped that big ol' trailer into our parking garage backwards like no one's business and again our stuff was handled at a rapid pace. I could not have asked for anything more in a moving company or employees. THANK YOU EMMANUEL AND JOSH! PS: Pro Tip! I didn't ask, but I'm positive these guys don't get the majority of that hourly fee you pay. TIP THEM!!! We gave what we thought was a fair tip considering the amount of stuff, time, and hustle, but Emmanuel looked genuinely shocked when he counted it and thanked us profusely while telling us this isn't standard. These guys busted their butts in the Texas heat and all of our belongings made it safely so tip accordingly! And wow literally 15 minutes after my review was written I got a response from Marcus with MHM that you can see below. We will definitely be using y'all again next time and requesting Emmanuel!! I would also like to commend you for your very real response to the witch who posted previously about being mad about an elevator being in use and not letting it go for two years. Midnight Hour Moving was amazing! After I scheduled my move online, they called immediately to confirm the date and time. The rep was so nice and super sweet on the phone. The day of my move they called 45 minutes before arrival to confirm and called when they were 10 minutes away. My move was scheduled for 7:00 AM and they were there at 6:50 AM. I had to sign some paperwork before they started, but they did not start the time until all paperwork was complete. They moved me from a storage unit to my second floor 1 bedroom apartment in 2 Hours. The were diligent and very helpful. They even put my bed and kitchen table together and gave me a free pen! What more can I say! They were awesome! Would definitely use them again. read more

I had a really great experience with this moving company! The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they were an hour late (my window was 1-4pm for arrival) but I learned that this moving company services the entire state of Texas and my movers had a move before mine that was really far away. Other than that the two guys that moved me did everything with an hour and fifteen minutes!! They moved all of my furniture (including taking apart my bed) out of a third floor apartment and into a second floor apartment (then put my bed back together) all in less than two hours. Nothing was scratched, broken or damaged at all both guys were really nice and they blanket wrapped the items I wanted wrapped very well. I recommend this company. read more

If there were an option to choose 0 stars, I would have done so. I recently moved into my new apartment and I thought everything went well. However, that was not the case. I gave specific instructions on handling the box with my dishes and asked that they please be careful. They seemed to have ignored my request. Not only was the box flipped upside down, but once I opened the box nearly all of my dishes were broken. I will not use or recommend their services in the future. Take it from me, go with another moving service. I was very unsatisfied due to their disregard for my items that can never be replaced. read more

I am a repeat customer to Midnight Hour Moving and highly recommend them. For my most recent move, Brandon and Justin worked their butts off, moving my apartment contents down two flights of stairs and out to a rented truck. They moved expeditiously and without any damage to my contents and apartment, save for what you would expect from any move. The only reason for four vs. five stars is that they arrived 30 minutes post the originally arrival window. I learned that they did not have a job before mine so I wasn't sure why they would be later than expected. That said, they got the entire job done in 2.5 hours! If I need moving services again, I will definitely be calling Midnight Hour. read more

Moving guys were Great!!!! However, I feel as though the men are over worked and they could use a better system . They arrived to my move an hour and 20 minutes late, they were very tried and exhausted, they moved very,very slow and as a result it took them 2 hours to load my one bedroom apartment into the truck(when the men that moved my things into storage had a peg leg). As a result I was charged the bogus fee for overage and the way it appears is though they do this with the intentions of having customers pay the extra fees. My thing were also just thrown into my apartment no assistance with putting bed together or the placement of furniture. After last items was brought in the younger gentleman actually sat on my light colored sofa with his dusty clothing and I had to ask him to stand as I didn't want anymore stains on my sofa. read more

In the past, Midnight Hour Moving has moved me at least 3-4 times, and I've recommended them to others with effusive praise. Unfortunately, my most recent experience, this past weekend (Nov. 23, 2013), was atrocious. Knowing how to move, how long it takes, and how to pack a storage unit, I was very disappointed at how slow the crew moved in the house (despite having everything boxed up and placed in a location for ease of moving) and loaded the truck. One of the guys just hung out in the truck practically doing nothing. Then when we got to the storage unit they were moving our stuff into, which was larger than the truck on which the furniture was transported, they had to rearrange 3 times (on the clock!), because they so poorly unloaded into the storage unit that they couldn't fit everything in there. And we still had items in our vehicles to put in the unit, but because of their inability and unwillingness to load the storage unit effectively (while one of the guys continued to just stand in the truck quite a bit), we are in the position of either taking our own time to unpack the unit and repack the way it should have been done the first time, or get another storage unit because of the hassle involved. The guys were friendly enough, but they damaged the top of a beautiful wood dining table - evidently they did not put a blanket on the top during transit. The oversight during this move is appalling. And when we called to issue our concerns with the company, we were treated as though we did something wrong. The customer service is completely lacking. This company used to be my go-to. I will never use them again (and have at least 2 more moves to make in the next year alone) and will dissuade anyone else from using them so they will not have to experience the chaos, frustration, stress, and hassle we did as a result of inadequate and shotty service. No one should have to deal with that on a moving day, which is stressful enough as it is. Very disappointed. read more

Just sent them home, thank God for my brother in law and a nice neighbor or I wouldn't have gotten my furniture upstairs. I've used this company twice to move. The 1st time was fast and the 2 guys took great care of my things. 2nd time...not so much. It was a year ago but I can honestly say that it still upsets me. They showed up at least an hour after the latest time listed, were tired, and took poor care of my items. I knew they were tired so I helped them load and unload. Even stopped at a gas station to buy them tea/pop. It didn't matter. When they left, I had a scratched couch, ripped box spring, chipped dresser, and a damaged recliner. I did work with the owner and he gave me no trouble on my claim and refund for the damage which I appreciated. He said that they get bad movers sometimes which I understand but I've moved a lot in my life. Growing up, we moved at least once a year. Never have I had damage like what they did and while I was helping them too. I can't say I would ever use them again. I am actually moving in the next month which prompted me to write this review. I want people to be aware that this isn't all 5 stars. If you hire them, do the 1st shift. After that is a crap shoot. read more

I used these guys in July for my move - which should have been easy, but turned into a two-parter. Initial move went smoothly and quickly - they were very professional and worked very fast. The 2nd part came because my daughter's friends couldn't help her move what she needed to take so I called Marcus to ask if they could do a same day move a few items. He scheduled them and they were there within a few hours. Again, very professional and fast which was a life saver. I'm hoping to be buying a house very soon and I will absolutely be calling on Midnight Hour to do that move as well. read more

I was moving from Uptown to the Village and called Midnight Hour moving b/c I used them in the past to move a washer and dryer from a friend's house to my apartment. Since I was a returning customer, I got a little bit of a discount. My review is mostly for the movers and not for the packers. I had 2 different sets of people pack and move my stuff. I need movers to help me pack as well as move my stuff. I was told I would have packers come sometime between 7-8 a.m. and then movers come at 10:00 a.m. The 2 guys that were helping me pack arrived after 8, but they were really apologetic about being late. The first 2 guys were excellent! I wish I remembered their names. They were really efficient and asked me questions about what could be packed and were really nice. They marked all the boxes and I didn't have any problems with them at all. I don't understand why they couldn't just move my stuff when they were done b/c they were going to go to another apartment after they were done packing my stuff, and move someone else. For some reason, I was being sent 2 different people to move my stuff. Once the packing was done in a couple of hours, I had to wait until the movers arrived, which was a little before 1 p.m. These 2 guys were not like the other guys. One of them was nice but the other one kept complaining about how difficult the move will be and how hot it was, etc. Sorry, but that's your job, right?? Also, the rude guy just went into my bathroom and slammed the door to use it. I think it would have been polite to at least ask if it's okay to use my restroom. The other guy did ask and of course I was going to say yes, but I think it's just better to make sure. Anyways, when they started moving stuff to my new apartment, I felt like they weren't being as careful as they could be. A small piece of my dresser was broken off and they said it was b/c my neighbor had walked by the same time they were walking up the stairs and hit the dresser. Not sure if that was true, but the furniture is not even a year and a half old and I already have a broken piece! Luckily I was able to superglue it back on, but you still see where it came off. Also, I have found a few white paint marks on the black furniture from them moving as well. If/When I move again, I might specifically ask for the 2 guys that packed my stuff to actually move my things, but if they aren't there or can't do it, then I may look elsewhere. read more

If you live in the Dallas area and are thinking about hiring this company to pack your belongs, load your truck/trailer, or move you....please think again!!! I hired them to pack my belongings and load them on the trailer. They walked in my door telling me they may not be able to complete the job because they had a job scheduled after mine so I would need to "help them" pack. I'm a 60 year old Grandmother. When my belongings got to their destination many of my things had not even been packed in boxes but were just loosely thrown into the trailer. I had damage to several things and when I reported it to the company they blamed it on the transport company. So, if you treasure your things and want a company that will invest time and effort into properly packing them...don't hire this company! read more

This company is the worst at moving customers in a timely manner. And God forbid if you're working with a locator service that pays for the move for an allotted time. I'm not sure how it took them 3 hours to LOAD (not load and move) a 2 bedroom apartment and the only thing in the second bedroom that was the boxes we packed. No furniture, just the things they packed. And of course, when the time goes over we are responsible for the remaining time. I've had moving companies pack and move my things in 3 hours. I will never recommend this company especially if you're using a service that pays for the move. They took their time with this move so they could gain more money. read more

We've used Midnight hour three times in the past 3 years. The first time was when we moved into the state and didn't know anyone. They unloaded the trucks and were great! The second time we used them was for moving furniture around the house---up and down stairs. Again, great! The third time was this past weekend for a local move. Marcus was very friendly and flexible. There were issues with the new house being ready in time and Midnight allowed us to change dates at the last minute. The actual guys, Larry, Damon, and Chris, were on time, dressed professionally, worked hard, and were very kind. I can't say enough great things about Midnight Hour Moving. I was pretty impressed that the movers got straight to work right after introducing them selves. I moved from the 3rd floor and I have a crate that I could barely push across the floor by myself, and thought for sure needed 2 people to carry down. I was stunned when I saw one of the movers lift it over his shoulder by himself and carry it down as if it was full of feathers. Nothing was damaged in the move and they took apart and reassembled my furniture with ease. The only complaint I had was that my window of arrival was from 1pm-4pm and they literally showed up at 3:59pm. I did recieve two arrival notifications but they were pretty vauge and inaccruate. All in all I was impressed by the professonalism and dedicated speed of my movers. read more

I used these movers this past weekend through an apartment locator so technically they were my "free move" so maybe thats why I had a horrible experience. The two guys did not move quickly or efficiently they were determined to get as much money out of my pocket as possible. Even after my fiance said something to them about not talking to some of my neighbors they technically knew for 20 min they still decided to keep the slow pace. On top of that dropped some of my boxes and furniture which did cause damage. I have used midnight hour moving 7 or 8 times as they are setup to move me when I go through Umove.com. They are always on time and very quick and professional! This move was the best I have had to-date. There were two men that showed up before my schedule move (which is always nice!) and moved me in just under 2.5 hours. The deal with Umovefree is you get 2.5 hrs of move for free and then the moving company starts charging per 15 mins. At first I was concerned about making the move in under 2.5 hrs but my movers did it with 15 mins to spare! The best part...of all the times I have moved, no one has EVER wrapped up my leather couch. My movers spent the time to pad it up and wrap it so that as they moved it, it did not get damaged. I was shocked and completely impressed! On top of everything else, both men were very friendly. They chatted while they did their job, answered questions and remained very professional. I highly recommend Mightnight Hour Moving. Really quick & to the point. Used a 2nd time to move and will be calling 1 last time as soon as I find a new home! Requested same guys from 1 year ago and one was still there, yay! I felt bad telling them the heaviest items would be going on the 3rd level but they reacted like a pro and all my king master bedroom pieces made it and my elliptical and treadmill, all on a 3rd level! Do NOT use this company to move your belongings. They moved my stuff Friday 04/30/21. It started with them being late I had to call and get an ETA. I was understanding of that due to the rain but they could've called me and told me. So the guy pulls up with a trailer attached to a pick up truck not an actual moving truck. The young man jumps out he's smoking a cigarette when they pull up he goes into my apartment and starts telling me the things they are not responsible for if it gets broken. I thought that was extremely unprofessional it made me feel like were about to come in here and break my stuff. So has he's walking through my apartment reeking of cigarette smoke he's hitting his clipboard against the walls so I say to him I'm not liable for the damages your causing to the wall with your clipboard. Now let's keep in mind I had everything boxed and placed in the front so all they had to do was move the items out. The other young man that was with him he moved slower than a snail on Sunday he acted as if he did not want to be their they even had my sons helping them move stuff if that's the case why in the hell am I paying y'all. The other guy dropped my box of drinking glasses and broke them and said it was because the box wasn't taped good. That's not true I head when he stacked the box and I heard all the boxes fall and heard my glasses break he brings it out and sets it on my dinning room table that they had sitting in the rain getting wet !! So now all of my drinking glasses are broken. They mishandled all my boxes, all my stuff was broken or damaged. I spent $425.00 to have my items broken and damaged all they cared about was breaking my item but when it came time to pay they were staring at me like a thief in the night. They took two and half hours just to load my stuff. They move slow just to rack up the bill , they are unprofessional!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN !!!
