I just hired Brown Box this past weekend for a moving job. I was calling around for some quotes, and these guys had the best offer. I'd come across them online when searching for movers, and hadn't heard of these guys since I don't recall seeing any memorable marketing from them. Anyway, I went with them to move me from Denton to Plano. Someone called the day before to make sure I was still ready for the appointment, and the guys called the morning of to let me know they were on their way. The window for them to get there was 9am-10am, they got there at 9:15, started clocking, and started moving immediately. They got a really good hussle in moving my stuff. Granted I don't have a lot of furniture, since I was moving into a one bedroom apt, but the furniture I do have was real wood so it was really heavy. They got my furniture and boxes from the 1st floor apt in a little less than an hour, and then they took a head start to my new place. I got to the leasing office to pick up my keys, and had forgotten to get a money order. I rushed over to my new unit to give them the heads up; they said no problem and started unloading the stuff right outside the door. I got back in about 10-15mins to the office, got the keys, ran back, and turns out the apartment complex forgot to change the lock to match my keys. 20mins later the door is opened and the maintenance guy works on the lock, and in the meantime the movers are still beasting through to get all my stuff to my new apartment. About half of the truck had been unloaded by the time the door got opened. And they were doing a really great job to keep moving, considering my new place is on the 3rd floor. They were battered and exhausted after getting my washer and dryer, couches, and real wood furniture upstairs, but they kept moving fast. Everything was in the same condition it was in before they loaded it into their truck. The guys I had, Burt and Gary, were very nice and had a great sense of humor. Four hours, and I was completely moved out from my old place into the new place with everything where I wanted it. If you're looking for a good company of movers, go with these guys. Awesome Job~ Brown Box movers moved my husband, daughter, and me from Denton to Houston. Not only did they do an excellent job in setting up the move before the date, they were very efficient and professional throughout the entire move. The first thing I noticed about this company was they were willing to move us for 1/2 the price of their competitors! This long distance move would have been a lot more expensive had they not had great reviews! And they definitely lived up to their reviews! Sometimes a mistake needs to be made in order to know how great a company is. At one point we realized that an item had been left behind (this was our fault as we added additional items last minute that was not on their original list).The movers were already in Dallas (~40 minutes away). One of the guys that was in Denton, took the item in his own truck and met his team to make sure this item was delivered. We were so thankful and impressed that he did this for us! The guys also took apart all of the items that needed to be broken down, wrapped each item, delivered the items in perfect condition, and put together all of the items. Just had to share our experience with Brown Box Movers - these guys are the real deal. We rented a U-Haul ourselves, a bit on the small side, and hired them for loading it up in Denton. From the get-go, their team busted their tails, managing to squeeze almost our entire household into the truck. Not only did they work non-stop, but they also were super polite and professional throughout, even cutting us a deal on the moving blankets and supplies. They rounded down the hours, which honestly added to how impressed we were. Even my in-laws, who watched the whole operation, couldn't stop talking about the team's work ethic. We had planned to use a different crew for unloading in Wichita Falls, and seeing Brown Box Movers in action made us wish we could have them for the entire move. This entire experience underscored how much value they bring to the table. They're absolutely worth every penny, and then some. Hi Brown Box Movers, I wanted to follow up and give my highest evaluation of the service provided by Graysen, David, and Roman on Wednesday the 31st. They finished up early with their previous job and took over for another team who was running late. I can see why they finished early at the previous job. On top of finishing my complete truck unload within a half hour( they hussled and worked every second of that half hour), they treated my items with care. They were literally asking for things they could help with. I don't have to tell you how rare that kind of service is with most retail services. I researched a few different movers before settling on on Brown Box Movers and I'm so glad that I did! Setting everything up was easy. I requested a quote online and Leslie called me with in a half hour. We had a team of 3 guys (AJ, Austin and Ryan) and they were awesome. They did our move in 3-1/2 hours for a 1 bedroom Townhome. They were fast, efficient and actually cared. Also, I like the fact that there are vets that work there. Two of our three movers were vets and I'm all for supporting our troops - home and afar. The expectations I had were far surpassed. Grayson was the team leader (or the one that I signed papers with.) He was with 2 other men. David was one, the other one I didn't get his name. All 3 worked their tails off with the most professional, helpful, considerate and most positive attitudes I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Literally, I felt the weight and pressure of moving lifted off me as they assured me they had this and could do anything I needed. LOVE!!!!! I will never use anyone else! Zac, Austin and Jerard were very professional and took great care of my stuff. They moved us on two different occasions (we moved over a few months while renovating new house) and they worked so hard- especially the second time - where they worked for 12 straight hours. All of the employees at Brown Box Movers were so responsive and professional from the very beginning. We had to move our mom from Sanger, TX to Oklahoma City, which was a pretty stressful thing for her. Excellent experience with Brown Box and their crew of Zac, Eric and Grayson. I had a challenge of a very narrow arrival window due to limited elevator availability for the first part of our move, out of a nursing home. They worked it, arrived on time in that tight window, and then made fast and efficient work of getting in and out of that home. Lindsey walked us through the whole move process and provided us with a very competitive bid. Salvation Army would not take our old couches and we were having our carpet cleaned. We recently bought new furniture and needed the old ones out fast.
