I've moved with them twice, with the second time being a month ago. Other movers are going to be cheaper and faster. The pay-per-item model sounds great, but isn't. Who knows ahead of time how many boxes they will have? What if you forget to explicitly identify everything? Our movers just left things behind that weren't listed, and we paid over $700 for a move that didn't include appliance, couches, or dining room furniture (those were bought new and delivered by the store). How can a very incomplete move for two people cost that much? Why did it take over 5 hours for an in-town move? It's just not worth it! Their team is professional and nice on the phone, and they don't charge deposits. They do reminder calls and show up on time. I've honestly, though, never had a move take this long - and this has been our smallest move ever! I would really recommend shopping around. read more

I've used Little Guys movers since 2016. The first time I used them was to move from my 3rd story apartment, and move in my first home. Recently, I used them to move from Arlington to Denton, and the move as always was FAST and smooth. The communication with their main office for scheduling is great. They take an estimate of your things and furniture to give you a quote. After that, I received about 2 phone calls leading up to the move to make sure the date and time was still okay, and to check if there was any more items to needed to be added or taken away. Move day was the best. They came on time. They knew where to park in my apartment complex. They were in and out within about less than 2 hours. The drive to Denton was about an hour, so the guys went somewhere to eat and refuel. Perfect communication along the way though. The move in my home was flawless. They asked where everything needed to go. Didn't get an scratches or dings along the way. They were careful with my furniture and bigger items. At the end, the entire move lasted about 4 hours total. That's not bad with a big couch, multiple tvs, a dinner table, 1x king bed, 2 dressers, another guest bed, office disk and game chair, and multiple big paintings. They got a big tip from me. Little Guys is that moving company that you just gotta keep in your pocket. They are fast, efficient, great communication.... There's no one else I would want to use! read more

Upfront pricing over the phone before they even come out. Also on time, Johnny on the spot! We also had a extra fridge, and washer and dryer to move that was not discussed over the phone, but the movers happily moved them, and adjusted the total amount and got my approval before doing the extra haul. Horrible move over priced and had to pay a fee to put in on a credit card but who carries 1,109 in cash around these days and who still writes checks.. They did not follow directions and so the platform frame on the bed fell down when they brought it in and they didn't fix it right so it fell again long after they were gone.. My hubby is 68 suffers from Parkinson's and vertigo so he had to remove the mattress get down and put the slates back with a screwdriver the movers didn't use a screwdriver which is why they fell again.. So for us seniors we feel we were overcharged for a one bedroom apt move downstairs to another one bedroom..Which typically runs 400 to 600.. I am filing a complaint with the Texas AG .. read more

I had used Little Guys a couple of years back when we moved everything from Advantage Storage on Teasley to our current home. They were great! Yesterday, they helped me move the contents of our last storage unit to the house. Ben and Ozzy (spelling?) were as terrific as the first team was. They showed up early (with my concurrence) and worked very hard. We got the job completed in under two hours. They were very professional and worked with me. The unit was kind of a mess, but with their help, we got it all straightened out very quickly. I could have not had better help. And, they charged me less than the estimate. I picked up the phone, called several moving companies (everyone busy, grrr), low and behold... LGM had an availability for my crazy schedule... which was the very next day! I cannot recommend these guys enough. I have used Little Guys a couple times in the past for smaller jobs and was always very impressed. It's been 7+ years or so since the last time but this was an outstanding experience and a much bigger job. My guys were prompt, friendly, careful, efficient, and incredibly hardworking. They couldn't have done anything better than they did. I had Travis, Ben, and Ryan, who called when they were close and were there right at 8:00am as they had promised. I was worried my ETA I had given my new complex would have to be pushed back since I had so much stuff, but these guys had all my furniture and my *120 boxes* out of there in a little over 2 hours! Everything was treated very carefully, too. And hey, bonus points for the impeccable film and music taste, Ryan! There was a 2nd stop in my move, which was also nicely done, and then onto the final destination. The guys were very patient about having to deal with the elevators at the new place (about 30 floors up, no less) and also went out of their way to help me re-assemble a kitchen piece with wheels that was a total pain in the ass. One of the worst business experiences in my life was dealing with jaw-droppingly bad movers, so I truly appreciate how valuable a service like this is! They really eliminated all the stress from my day and I would use them again without even doing a price comparison. (For what it's worth, it was also quite reasonable.) But I'd even overpay knowing that everything was going to be handled this well. Some things are worth it. read more

Did a great job moving us into our house. Actual price came out much cheaper than the quote so I tipped all the movers. One of them put a sizable scratch across my stairway while moving, he immediately told managment and they fixed the wall and repainted the whole stairway on that side. read more

I needed a china cabinet moved from an estate sale in Southlake to a Denton storage unit (less than 2 miles from the Little Guys office). The woman I talked to said she could not move it at all that day or the next. I said I could ask if they would hold it for an extra day and she said she thought she could fit it in then quoted me a price of $486.00!! I only paid $330 for the cabinet. It was only going 50 miles and would take less than 90 minutes--who were the movers Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise--$500/hour. Ridiculous. I ended up getting it the next day for $125. Even Little Guys hourly rate for a local move was the highest I was quoted at $220/hr. If you have extra money to throw away then this is the mover for you. read more

I have never had a better experience, they were on time, did much more than I expected, charged exactly what they said they would and made sure that everything was placed where we wanted it. I am handicapped. I live in Denton, TX which is where the issue happened. I was moving out of state after spending the last 6 months confined to my couch after having a heart attack. I scheduled this Denton based moving company to move me based on their ratings. What I got was something completely different. I told them ahead of time that I had boxing that needed done because I was unable to do it. That wasn't to be a problem. The day they showed up it did appear to be a problem from the start. First of all this occurred in Jan. of 2019. I am still physically limited on what I can do and it has taken a lot of time for me to go through boxes as I am able to do so physically. Many days I am unable to do much. Back to my story. Immediately when two guys showed up to the house they didn't like what they saw. One asked if he could look through the house which I didn't mind. What he was actually doing was taking photographs of my home without asking. When they finally started packing things in boxes I checked on their progress starting in the bedroom. The guys when disassembling things just tossed things into the corner on the floor. I had to spend a lot of time and energy that I didn't have going behind them to make sure things were not left behind and were packed. I pointed out everything that needed to go. A couple times when I pointed out items that needed to be loaded I got disrespectful attitude. By the time most of my things were loaded at 4PM they said that's all they could do. They left two rooms untouched. I had to be on the road that night. By the time they left I was so exhausted from having to keep up with them and point out things that I literally collapsed on the floor and had to call for help to get up, get my dogs to the moving truck and after a bit of a rest hit the road. When I unloaded the first thing I discovered is they had lost the parts to my Thomasville bed. Without the parts the bed could not be assembled. The parts were proprietary and since Thomasville had gone out of business years before were no longer available. When I called Littleguys about the charges for items that I had already provided and they charged me for and the missing items for the bed which they offered to help replace I told them that the bed parts would not be able to be replaced as they were no longer available. After that I discovered other items missing such as a large file folder that had been packed ( I personally put the large file folder which contained irreplaceable items such as photos, my adoption papers, the programs from my parents funerals, other legal documents none of which can in the box and watched them tape it shut) it didn't get loaded. I called the manager who's first excuse was "I had a bunch of stuff" to another lame excuse. I also spoke with the owner who was just as disrespectful and hateful as the manager was. He told me his guys didn't steal. Well, I never accused them of stealing. I finally finished going through my last box today. I was looking for the stand to one of my two televisions. No dice. In spite of me telling the loaders these items needed packed they're missing. So what I am accusing Littleguys of is their loaders who had an attitude from the very start disposed of one-two boxes of my property out of spite. Yes, unprofessional spite. I had to leave behind all my kitchen items because they didn't get the stuff packed. I replaced it at hundreds of dollars. I can replace the tv stands as well even though I have to live on Social Security. What is really upsetting is the loss of all my files, papers, photos, adoption papers, etc. I don't understand why this company and it's employees behaved this way to me. Maybe they were angry about having to pack items. Maybe they were angry that I couldn't do it on my own. Who knows but their attitude from their entire staff was inexcusable. The owner even made the subtle threat of publishing the photos of my house publicly. I can't help the fact that many days I can't function because my heart doesn't beat correctly now. That I'm weak because I lost the function of part of my heart. This is the behavior I experienced with this company. They have many good reviews. I wish I could concur with those reviews but I can't. I paid them nearly $900 for the work they did and they still treated me this way. Use them if you wish but beware especially if you are older and have health issues and can't keep a constant eye on them. Note to the owner. No I don't want anything from you. Just want you to know that you and your company behaved disgracefully and at least some of your employees are petty and unprofessional. For what it's worth what they did pack when it came to fragile items they did do a good job of wrapping them so they were protected. They also packed a lot of junk that could have been tossed. For the life of me though I will never understand why these items went missing or what I did to them to be so spiteful. Use this company at your own risk read more

We just moved from Las Vegas to Denton and needed movers to help unload everything. The three movers that showed up got right to work and were very careful with everything they were handling. These guys were amazing. Working in this heat and humidity in the middle of August is no easy feat, but these guys were unstoppable. As my lazy butt sat and sweated from moving one or two pieces of furniture these guys just kept right on going. We rented a big truck and drove it ourselves from Cali. We hired guys on each end to help us load and unload. The guys on the Cali end were careful but moved glacially. Here in Texas, Little Guys unloaded and schlepped the stuff up to the new place, just as carefully but with real hustle. A few months later we moved from Denton into Dallas and let them handle the whole deal this time. It was a hellishly hot August day but they had the same hustle and got it done pronto. I've used Little Guys Movers twice -- for loading my U-Haul as I headed out of Denton and then for unloading my U-Haul when I returned to Denton years later. Both experiences were great and made moving less stressful. They communicate every step of the way, from the initial quote to the final receipt. I called to set up a moving date for an office. They said they wanted a list of everything they would be moving. I explained that I work for a living and my sole focus was not on making lists for other businesses. it they wanted they could come look for them selves. I was recently moving from one apartment to another, and with this being the first move where furniture and stairs where involved, I was thinking about hiring movers. My friend recommended Little Guys and after doing some research felt confident that they where the right movers for me. They showed up on time on the day of my move (actually a little early!) and had everything done in 2 hours. Not only where they super concerned about my stuff and making sure that everything survived the move (IKEA furniture is notorious for being bad for moving) they where also concerned that I was happy with where they unloaded my items and ensured everything was perfect before they left. I was a also able to get the bulk of my quote and communication done by email which was super awesome as I work in a call center and can't be on personal calls.
