The day that I moved, we were moving from apartment building 3 to apartment building 2. I was pregnant at the time so my ability to do things like lift boxes or move. Furniture was extremely limited. Even though it was not Sunday, they have a very specific policy about Sunday moving, but was in the middle of the week. I was given a quote stating that it's a minimum of five hours to move my belongings. I opted to go with this company because I had heard a lot of good things through the grapevine so you have to imagine my disappointment. When not only did they slow down to meet that five hour minimum that was falsely quoted. But a good number of my items were damaged. I was asked by one of the representatives to leave a good review after I spoke with them about the damages and the concerns that I had about this particular company and how my items retreated, and how moving from apartment on one side of the complex to the other side of the complex was more expensive than moving from North Richland Hills, Texas to The Colony, Texas. They asked me to leave a good review because the person who had set up my case was due for a annual review or a merit review of some kind or bonus review of some kind and a bad review would have hurt them in that. I opted to just not leave a review. In addition to all of that, I was told that the owner/manager of this particular branch of two men and a truck moving was going to reach out to me. I specifically said that I needed him to reach out to me at my cell phone after 4 PM central time. Something that every single other person that I spoke to was able to do. Not only did that manager wait to call me for months, but he called me in the middle of my workday. I explained that I couldn't talk now and I would need to have him call me back after 4 PM central time I never heard from them again. In short, I wouldn't really recommend this company. Being given a quote related to hourly pricing, and then being quoted that I would have to pay minimum of five hours when that is only their policy on Sundays. It left a really bad taste in my mouth and has made me really research and try to find better moving companies because this is the second miss that I have had with suggested/recommended companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Also there was the docking station and charger from my Dyson v8 missing. I paid insurance and they said they only pay out anything with a 400 bucks deductible so be aware. You think you are safe buying insurance but it's not the case. Also they arrived 4h late i was so exhausted. Next day i called them to say things were broken I chased them everyday for a week and nobody got back to me, only on the 8th day. I'm not impressed and will not use them again.

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Omar filled in the details of the job to get us the right crew, and got us scheduled for the very next morning. Lorenzo and his team showed up early, communicated clearly, and holy wow did they work fast. In less than 90 minutes they moved what took our team 6 hours to do. AND they moved a fireproof safe by hand, with sheet strength and a good knowledge of physics. The cherry on top is the value - super-fair, plus a discount for booking through Yelp. I used 4 different companies because none of the first three were compelling enough to use again. I won't have to search for another one now though. I'll spare all the details, but they went above and beyond to make sure my move went smoothly and when things didn't (we had a lot of moving pieces with multiple stops) they made it right. The crew that actually did the move was respectful, clean and careful with our things. They weren't the cheapest, but they were competitive and worth every penny.
