Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. Unfortunately, my TV was damaged during the move (unclear if it was from the POD, but I doubt that since the TV was against the king size mattress). One of the movers later stated that he had noticed damage to the TV box when he unloaded the tv from POD but did not bring it to my attention at the time, which was very disappointing. However, the owner Joey, took the situation seriously and handled it with genuine empathy and accountability. I was extremely frustrated from the move (it's really a lot to handle) and Joey was kind and patient as he listed to me explain what happened. He suspended the team member involved, made it clear that he wanted to put the customer first, and worked with me to make things right. After I provided the original receipt for my TV, he sent me a check for its full original purchase price and did not waste time to go through insurance. I didn't buy additional insurance, so at most if Joey had went through insurance, I would have received $40/$50 back for my tv at $0.60/lb. He said he wanted to make sure we reached an agreement that felt fair. I truly appreciate Joey's customer first mindset. Although the damage was frustrating, I greatly appreciated how Joey responded. He's been in business for 25 years and stated that accidents happen and what he cares for the most is customer satisfaction. His integrity, compassion, and willingness to stand behind his company ultimately left me with a positive impression.
