I've had bad moves before but this latest 11 mile trek was the worse! Without looking I got an estimate of $350 to $450; actually cost $700! Went from 2 bedroom home to 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment, it took all day. Was told to leave drawers full and tape shut. Big mistake! Our furniture was turned over and over dislodging everything. I would pass on these movers. Maybe a one bedroom apartment move in same building or complex but nothing else! Best of all they forgot the screws from King sized bed - told me to bring them. We were busy in other parts of house so forgot when we left (our fault). But, when looked on bedroom floor only 1 screw out of 16 needed! Just poor service! read more

The actual booking with this company was easy peasy. The actual move did not go as planned. I received an email the night before my move informing me that my AM move would need to be pushed to PM. I called first thing that morning to confirm that the move WOULD BE HAPPENING THAT DAY. They assured me it would. IT DID NOT. It happened the following day and only after I called to say I wanted a refund. The most irritating part about this whole endeavor was the lack of communication I received from this company. I had to call them multiple times on both days to try and see when the movers would arrive. They showed up at 4 pm( my window was that morning). It was 2 individuals and I had to help move stuff, because one of the movers was basically a teenager( and he struggled to lift). Because of this, it took 5 hours to move a 1bedroom apartment. They ended up getting me a discount of one hour- which hardly seems worth it considering I wasted 2 days of waiting around and it took way longer than it should have due to the fact that only 1 mover was strong enough to move things faster. Oh yeah- they contracted this move out to another company. Stay away from this company - it's not worth the headache. I should have gone with a more reputable company. Guys kept taking smoke breaks. They dropped multiple items. Took them 4 hours to get a one bed one bath packed in their truck not to mention all of the stuff was already packed for them. Took them 20 minutes to get to the house we were moving into, which is less than 10 minutes away. The entire apartment wasn't even fully packed after they were done. I had to take 3 trips with my own car. I was on the phone with management the entire time letting them know the situation and all I got was $50 discount at the end. We ended up paying $500 for 5 hours for something that should've taken 2 hours at the most! Update: I wish their movers were as good as their claims department. They refended me $200 after the whole ordeal. Our $400 KitchenAid is ruined now though. If you use this company it would be best to take your expensive and fragile things yourself just to make sure. read more

Don't waste your time unless you like unethical business practices. Had to file a claim with my credit card for them to even discuss a refund of the charges I did not agree to. No matter what anyone tells you your deposit is just an additional charge that does not actually go towards your bill, they charge you a travel fee as well as labor for drive time and promise a first time customer discount that they never apply. Also if you do the math their 4% credit card fee (they only take cards) is far more than 4%. The money i got back wont even cover the broken, scratched and damaged furniture. They scratched my furniture and damaged my hallway walls, they "forgot" to download 2 of my bags (sound fishy) and didn't return it even that u begged them !! I called few times to the office, and Colby (same one from Dallas movers pro) texted a picture to my husband of my bags, I called and he ignored my calls and msgs. These people are quick to take your $200 deposit and then OVER BOOK!!! They set it up for 10 AM and then said the truck was having issues. They said between 1-3PM. I called at 3 and a different mover called me back and said 5:30PM. My husband and I took off all day and waited all day. They finally came at 7:30PM. (A-1 movers) a totally different company! We finished around 10PM. Very unethical moving practices. This was on a Friday. I booked it 3 weeks in advance. I am shocked that a company can operate this way. So shady. They offered me a 5% discount for all the trouble. I told them that was unacceptable so they took $50 off. The movers did drive slow so they wouldn't break my TV. I decided to use Dallas Movers Pro because of the awesome reviews on Yelp and I must say, it was the best decision I could have made. Colby and Damingo arrived on time and got all of my items from my 4 bedroom, 2 bath house wrapped and moved into my storage way on the other side of town in under 3 hours. They wrapped all of my furniture, tables, fridge etc. in bubble wrap (at no extra charge). I've had a lot of TERRIBLE moving experiences in my lifetime, and trust me when I say, I've moved more than most due to the military, but I can honestly say that this was the best moving experience that I've ever had. Now that my house is sold, I will MOST definitely be calling Dallas Movers Pro in a few months to move me into my new home. Thanks for all of your help Colby and Damingo! I recently had to move and booked Dallas Movers Pro (DMP) three weeks before the move to ensure that the move would happen first thing in the morning. DMP was supposed to arrive between 9 and 10 am on a Friday (July 27, 2024) morning. Well the day came and I had to call them at 9:45 am to see what the arrival time was. They called back at 10:05 am saying the truck broke down and were unable to make it - at all. NOT, we have another truck in route, NOT we're gonna rent a truck and pick those guys up and then head your way. NOTHING, I got an excuse that 4 guys on the side of the road didn't have cell service in DFW to call and let the office know that they were having issues - Also, I had to call them, they didn't even call me first about the problem. Instead of paying a fair price for movers. I had to rush to find another moving company, and pay $1,000 over what I expected. Not only that, I didn't even get started moving until 4pm and didn't get finished until 11pm, and my 2 year old son and I were waiting in the new house for 3 hours with nothing, cause my wife was cleaning the old house. My son kept asking to go home, but I told him this is our new home, we're just waiting on our stuff. Keeping him up several hours later than needed. If DMP were pros, they would have fixed the issue and my plan of being done moving before I had to pick my son up for day care, there would not have been an issue. read more

I was moved by Dallas Movers Pro this weekend and I was less than impressed to say the least. The booking and confirmation process was really smooth so I had high hopes moving forward but unfortunately it did not work out that way. They picked up my TV and dropped it on the ground causing one of the legs to snap off- the guy then had the audacity to say that the leg was already broken but the TV was standing up when they showed up and now is leaning over. I have an extremely heavy solid wood antique dresser that I told them would take 2-3 people to move but they did not listen and one man attempted to move it by himself causing significantly scraping down the side of the dresser and bending one of the legs so now it is crooked. While in the process of the move, one of the movers asked me to use the bathroom which I of course was okay with because I'm not a monster, well he completely clogged/overflowed the toilet leaving dirty water all over the bathroom and the best part is he didn't tell me so instead the apartment complex let me know because water was leaking into the apartment below. Just excellent. Once everything was loaded, they left to go 23 miles to my new place- I left 10 minutes after them and got there 45 minutes before. It took them over 80 minutes to go 23 miles on a Sunday morning, when I asked about it they said it took a while which isn't really an answer. I would absolutely not recommend read more

We did a local move from Uptown Dallas to North Dallas and I found Dallas Movers Pro from Yelp. My strategy was find the guys with the best rating and the most numbers of reviews. That has always stood me in good stead and it did once again. These guys were fantastic! They packed and moved us. I got a confirmation email after I booked. They called me the day before to confirm my appointment. I like that as it set my mind at ease because when you are moving you have so many other things to worry about. Arrived on time, had a great crew of people. Respected my stuff which is important to me and finally unloaded super fast. Today we unpack so don't know if anything is broken but nothing so far :). If I could give negative stars for their customer service and booking people I would. Please think twice before booking with these movers. They are not honest about their availability. Here is how the events unfolded during my personal experience with them: my move from my 1 bedroom, first floor apartment was booked for 9 am and I put down my deposit and booked weeks ahead of time. The day before the move I got an email asking me to confirm the move and they gave me a time window of 9-10 am and informed they would call 30 minutes before they arrive. 9 am rolls around and they aren't there yet. Ok, that's fine. I didn't expect them to be on time. 930 comes, no one. 10 am rolls around, no signs of them on their way still. I gave customer service a call and checked on the ETA. They put me on hold to call the movers for like 5 min it seemed and came back to say they couldn't get a hold of them but they should be on their way soon. So at this point I'm sorta annoyed but still not shocked because it's July 1st, a busy moving time. These things happen. 10:30 comes, no one. 11 am, no calls no one there. I called them again. This time the lady put me on hold for 2-3 min and came back to say they are stuck in traffic but on the way. Getting more irritated at this point but still not fuming. 11:50 comes and STILL no call at all! I call again and a guy answers this time. He puts me on hold for like 5 min then it gets transferred to the lady again. She puts me on hold to call again. She comes back after like 5 more min and says "the driver got confused and went to another move". WHAT?!?! She said they went to another job and wouldn't be there until 1 pm now. At this point I'm fuming! I had to take off work for this bullshit. I made sure to confirm my address with her at this point and it turns out they didn't even have my full address in their system! I'm thinking she lied and they didn't even book me somehow. There was like a disconnect between them and the movers. So I hang around pissed off but desperate to get my stuff moved out at the same time.... 11:45 comes and finally the mover calls and says he will be about an hour at the current job because it is a lot of walking. And I'm thinking, well that's nice they finally called but that's not my problem. So I wait and 1 pm rolls around and no call, no one. So I call him and he said he's just wrapping up the current move and will be on the way and will call to give a more precise eta. Fast forward to 3 pm and guess what???? No call and still not there!!! This time I call the office and a guy answered and said he couldn't get ahold of them but they are probably driving. I asked for a discount for all this trouble and he just said wait until the end of the move then give me a call. Pffff Finally the mover calls and like thinking finally they are here!!! Well he just called to inform they are an hour away!!! And I'm like whaaaat!!!! They were at a move that far away and it didn't occur to anyone to inform me of this. They finally arrived at like 4:15 pm and it was a different company altogether that they must have asked to take the job. I must say the movers themselves were very polite, quick, and courteous. I tipped them generously because of their fast and hard work in blistering and brutal heat. I ended up getting a discount for my troubles but it still doesn't make up for the wait of an entire day waiting on them. They seriously need to figure out their booking system and communicate a bit better instead of giving customers the runaround. This review is about the poor customer service and lack of transparency about how long this move would take. They should have just been honest instead of wasting my time. Most horrific experience booking this company . First they call me at 8 am for a 9 am move and say that the movers won't be able to make it and pushed it to 1pm . I call them at 2 pm they say the movers could not make it again and we were not called about it. I spent 300 dollars to re schedule things for the next day and it was scheduled for 6pm and now they have said that they will be here by 7 30 . Because I didn't answer the immediately phone call, they moved on to their next move within a 5 minute time frame. Who gives someone a 5 minute window for a scheduled move?! When I called them back they explained everything and stated I would have to call and reschedule. When you reschedule, they use alternate companies who don't have the details of your move and show up with too few movers that will now cost me more. Movers broke several of my items (TV, table). Sales told me there would be garment boxes, but was incorrect, and my clothes were put straight on the truck without my knowledge. Move was also outsourced confusingly to A1 Movers and they arrived late, despite calling me in the morning to ask if I could move my arrival window earlier. While the customer service team was originally receptive and helpful, quickly stopped returning calls/emails and left me in the dark about my several hundred dollar claim. Voicemail box is full, mail is undeliverable, etc. Buyer beware, there's a reason the cash price is so cheap. The movers themselves were friendly, and they're doing a physical, tough job where mistakes are going to happen from time to time... but without an organized and professional office staff, it's a mess. read more

Dropped two boxes down the stairs because they were overloading the dolly - half of my glassware and plates are broken and had to be thrown out. Broke Christmas decor. Stole my phone charger (it was the only thing I set in the bedroom before they started unloading and when they left it was gone with no response over text - it was my only one at the moment so I couldn't charge my phone that night as it was already getting late.) left two ropes with hooks attached to a lamp of mine when they left and the weight has made the lamp wobbly and no longer stable. On moving day, they came 15 mins before our scheduled time and they were speedy and diligent with all the furniture in my apartment. Colby and Juan were the best! Apparently my lease ended sooner than expected so I needed some help to move out. I called them up and within a few hours they came through. I was very skeptical if we would finish because of how much stuff I had, but within an hour or less they had moved everything out. On top of that they packed the uhaul so well, because when I arrived at my new place not a single thing was broken!! I highly recommend these guys they are super nice and the price is super great I felt like I was paying too little for how much work they did honestly! Francisco, Darwin and Bailey did an amazing job. Very polite and did not waste any time. If anyone is thinking about hiring movers, DO NOT HIRE DALLAS MOVERS PRO! They contracted the move to a 3rd party, I had packed all breakables in bubble wrap and clearly marked them as such. My boxes were being flipped completely upside down, on their sides and the boxes that said please do not put anything on top, things were placed on top!!! My glitter drawers were tipped upside down so you know what happened there, my vanity mirror is broken, cups are broken, my desk is broken, I still have yet to unpack 5k worth of makeup because I'm soo scared something is broken. Not to mention we moved into our brand new home (first time home buyer) and my walls are all scratched up!!! They offered a lousy 200 refund!!! That will not replace one thing they have broken or repair the damage done to my walls!! Stay clear of them!! read more

Wonderful experience with John, Frank and Justin! With pick up located at a 3rd story apartment (with no elevator) and a delivery to a 2/3rd floor location. They took care of all my furniture and treated them with upmost care. They were creative and persistent with getting a bed in a very difficult situation. I had given up, thinking there was no option but they didn't. I truly appreciate their hard work and great attitudes. Great experience! The amount I paid matched the quote, and it was a competitive price, as I did shop around. The took care of everything, and even moved some existing furniture around for me. We have used them twice now, and the first crew (Mike, Brandon, and Frank) took care of us, and all our stuff was picked up and dropped off without any damages. I wish I could give this company 5 stars because they were all so pleasant to work with... however in moving my furniture from one apartment to another, they cracked my headboard on my bed along with other dings to my wooden headboard. Whoever did the damage did not even say anything until my mom pointed it out after the bed had been reassembled. They paid to get it fixed but of course.. does not look the same and is noticeably damaged. Broken furniture is the one thing you hope to avoid by hiring experienced movers. PLEASE READ BEFORE BASING YOUR DECISION ON OTHER YELP REVIEWS!!!! We hired them because of their good ratings, and its one of the biggest regrets of my life. In between homes, the truck with everything we own, and the moving guys disappeared for over an hour, and only two of the three guys showed up at our destination. What else didn't show up? All of our Fly Rods & fishing gear, hiking & camping equipment, a water cooler jug filled with silver change, They stole my wedding dress, and the unprocessed film from our honeymoon, though i'm sure they tossed both, as what they were going for were the sellable items in that bag.... Many of the things that did make it to our new home showed up battered and and beaten. Our brand new LG stainless steel refrigerator looks like someone took a bat to it. The brand new bamboo floors in our new home are scratched irreparably; our newly painted walls are gouged. Over $8000 in theft and damages. The absolute worst part has been trying to deal with the company about making repairs and restitution. They have hung up on me over a dozen times, ignored emails. We had to involve the police, and that finally prompted a response. I have been promised that an assessor would come to the house for repairs, and that they were cooperating with police about the theft- but nothing has happened. No one shows up at the house; no calls or emails are returned. Now we are hiring a lawyer. We are not going to let them get away with this; and i hope this information keeps others from having to go through the same thing; it has been absolutely devastating. read more

I hired movers to be at my apartment at 8am, to do a local move, and they didn't show up until 3pm! I had to call the company numerous times, and literally everyone I talked to kept giving me BS excuses... like the truck wasn't working, then the truck was fixed but they decided to take another job, then they needed a lunch break.. So basically they just kept pushing my scheduled appointment farther and farther back! My scheduled appointment that should have been done first thing in the morning!!! The whole day, they kept telling me "uhm looks like it'll be another hour" WTF?! So finally, I get a phone call from the manager Johnny, who offers me a 10% discount for all the trouble. I guess I'm supposed to be happy with that discount... But I'm not. I wasted my whole day waiting on this company, and had to reschedule everything I had planned later that day, because the movers were 8 hours late to arrive. 8 hours!!!! the move SHOULD HAVE been completely free and any fees should have came out of the managers pocket! Ask for the free wardrobe boxes to make moving clothes, linens and towels easier. All large items were padded and wrapped, including my large framed pictures and mirrors. This was my first big move so i was really freaking out about what it was going to cost me and if i could trust other people to not damage all the new furniture i just bought. I was really surprised and pleased when the DMP guys showed up and did everything for me in a really efficient manner while still showing special care for my things! My previous experiences moving have been stressful and hard but DMP made the dreadful task of moving a million times easier on me. What a complete nightmare. Over 5 hours for a one bedroom (580 sq ft) apartment to another one bedroom apartment 8 minutes away! With elevators at both locations. I cannot express how completely obscene this entire move was. After the initial 2 hour window was over and they still hadn't finished loading the truck, I knew something was wrong. Once they finally hit the road to the other location, again - 8 minutes away, I comfortably beat them there and when they finally show up 35 minutes later, they said "sorry, we stopped for drinks". At this point we are well into over time here and to help move this along, I began also unloading an hauling things to my new apartment. After 5 hours, we (and I say "we" because I consider myself the third mover on this team) had a very sketchy time paying my final bill. The cherry on top of this truly terrible move was of course- the broken TV. Overall, 0/5. I would like to mention I filed a claim and will return here to update how that goes as well. If their claim process is anything like their move process, I expect it to take at least 4 weeks and will be a nightmare of incompetence as well. read more
