Unfortunately, my TV was damaged during the move (unclear if it was from the POD, but I doubt that since the TV was against the king size mattress). One of the movers later stated that he had noticed damage to the TV box when he unloaded the tv from POD but did not bring it to my attention at the time, which was very disappointing. However, the owner Joey, took the situation seriously and handled it with genuine empathy and accountability. I was extremely frustrated from the move (it's really a lot to handle) and Joey was kind and patient as he listed to me explain what happened. He suspended the team member involved, made it clear that he wanted to put the customer first, and worked with me to make things right. After I provided the original receipt for my TV, he sent me a check for its full original purchase price and did not waste time to go through insurance. I didn't buy additional insurance, so at most if Joey had went through insurance, I would have received $40/$50 back for my tv at $0.60/lb. He said he wanted to make sure we reached an agreement that felt fair. I truly appreciate Joey's customer first mindset. Although the damage was frustrating, I greatly appreciated how Joey responded. He's been in business for 25 years and stated that accidents happen and what he cares for the most is customer satisfaction. His integrity, compassion, and willingness to stand behind his company ultimately left me with a positive impression. For context, I've used Piece of Cake Storage multiple times in the past and have always had a professional, efficient experience with reasonable pricing. This time, I decided to go with a smaller local business, and I honestly regret that decision. The movers themselves were nice and respectful, so I want to acknowledge that. However, the overall execution of the move was very poor. I was not aware that the clock would be running continuously from the beginning of the first move through the entire process, including travel between locations, also, the movers handled personal business on the clock while I was being charged. My move was for a small one-bedroom apartment, everything was already packed, and I even assisted the movers throughout the process. Despite that, the first portion of the move took approximately four hours, and the second portion took another two hours. The total cost ended up being around $800, which was especially frustrating because I had been quoted approximately $200 less by a larger, more established moving company. I have used larger companies for moves of the same size that were completed efficiently within 3-4 hours, even with the movers handling the packing and furniture preparation. There were also several issues with the care of my belongings. The company did not provide any protective materials to cover my furniture. Multiple items in my unit were damaged, some of my furniture was damaged, and several belongings were left dirty. My mattress was not covered at all, and the bottom of it was left dirty. My bed was also reassembled incorrectly. On top of everything, the movers arrived approximately three hours late, and the entire process did not finish until around 11 PM. By the end of the night, the experience had become an exhausting mess. I did pay the full amount, and I appreciate that the movers were nice throughout the process. However, being nice does not make up for poor time management, damages, lack of protection for belongings, arriving three hours late, and an $800 bill for a small, already-packed one-bedroom move. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company and will not be using them again. In hindsight, I should have gone with the larger company that was actually going to charge me $200 less and had a proven track record of completing my moves efficiently.

This was my third time using their service to move a 1B1B apartment. The first two times went fine…read more-- each took about 3 to 3.5 hours, and that's why I trusted them again. But this time? Total disaster. They charged me almost 8 HOURS for the exact same size move. From 9 AM to 4:45 PM -- are you kidding me? They didn't even start moving until around 9:20 or 9:30, and then moved like they were taking a casual stroll in the park. I asked them why this time was so ridiculously slow compared to the last two. Their excuse? "No elevator" at my old place and "your stuff is in small boxes and bags." That is complete nonsense. My new place has an elevator, and I used larger boxes this time to make it easier -- unlike the last move where neither location had elevators. And yet, that move only took 3.5 hours. There is no possible reason this one should take nearly EIGHT HOURS unless you're deliberately dragging your feet. And get this -- I even helped them move! I literally carried stuff myself while they moved slowly and inefficiently. When I brought this up to their supervisor, instead of acknowledging the poor service, he blamed me and said I had "too many things." Give me a break. It's a 1B1B -- and you guys have moved it twice before in half the time! I even attached a photo comparing the invoices from both moves -- one was 3.5 hours, this one nearly 8. Their supervisor had the audacity to say he'd refund me for 1 hour if I didn't leave a bad review -- that tells you everything you need to know. He knew it was shady but just wanted to shut me up. Avoid Leader Movers at all costs. They've clearly gotten lazy and greedy -- working slow just to pad the bill while pretending everything is normal. I'm furious and disappointed. Never again.

I described the exact items that needed to be moved and how far they were moving them, 5 miles, and we would be done in two hours. They began to tell me that it could take longer than two hours, and when I disagreed the man in the background said "well don't expect us to work the whole time that we're there." They gave me a price and told me it was a summer special, but they were over $100 an hour more than their competitor. Enough said.
