It is really sad that this company has to take advantage of their own customers to make money when so many people are struggling today. I am really disappointed in Cubesmart. I find it really shocking that I was charged a 27% increase on my unit for no reason or explanation. I called three times and left messages right after I was charged, as I thought it was an error on their end. I talked to Kyle and asked him why I was charged, and I was not notified by phone or email. Kyle said he would send in a complaint about it to corporate after our lengthy conversation, but it was not even done. I also told him because of the addition of $50 a month I would be leaving asap. I was sent a copy of the PDF increase 30 days after the increase was charged to my account. It shows on the PDF that they give their customers a 3-day notice for a 27% increase, which was $50 over my monthly payment. A 3-day notice, so their customers may not have an opportunity to make a decision to stay or leave. I have been waiting for a call or response but did not receive any communication from anyone at this location in this matter until I called back to confirm I already moved from this location. Sad that this company has to do this to make money by putting people in a difficult position of having to move or forced to pay this ridiculous increase. I will never use your company again and will share my experience with everyone I can, so they do get forced to make a decision like I had to. Again, it is really sad that this company has to take advantage of their own customers to make extra money. All together, it is a wrong and unethical practice. I've had my storage unit I believe since October 2021. I love it! I met with Wendy and she's amazing! She was straightforward, answered all of my questions, and gave me a tour. I don't have any problems with it. I load what I need to in there and it's pretty spacious for the unit that I got. I'm even thinking if I should go a bit bigger. The light by my unit is either out or maybe doesn't sense my motion cause they do have motion censored lights. They do have music playing so you don't feel alone and it's not super loud so you don't have to worry about not hearing anything. I love that there are carts available to use so you don't have to carry all of your things to your unit. I do feel safe with my items being stored there with all their security they have. And I love love love that it is temperature controlled. These 3 things were probably my main concerns and they checked all of the boxes. Being a new year, the price did not change for me. I think whatever you sign for and agreed with for the price is what is locked in. I definitely recommend this spot to store your items! I had all of my home furniture stored here for a little over 2 years while waiting for my new home to be built. In October of this year, I noticed water damage and mold all over ALL of my furniture, clothes, shoes, kitchenware, and even brand new items I was storing. Turns out there was a roof leak right over my unit, which was noticed by cubesmart and ignored for months. Cubesmart's negligence and lack of customer care has cost me everything I own. I'm moving into a brand new home with nothing to put in it. I was given the run around for almost 2 months, just to be told by the manager that they don't have to help me. I was an excellent customer who was always on time with payments and never fussed about price increases or anything. I was thanked for being so kind when I brought up my issue to cubesmart- just to be told I'm not going to be helped. My insurance that I paid for helped me, however I paid for a service I did not receive, and cubesmart should 100% be held accountable for their actions and refund me for the 2 years of storage that I have nothing to show for. Not only did cubesmart know about this leak, they refused to do anything about it since "insurance can pay people out". Multiple units were leaking during active rain. If you have your belongings stored there I highly suggest you check on your unit. If you're thinking of storing your things here, don't. You will lose everything. read more

If you read only one review about this company, READ THIS! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! They will convince you to get a storage unit a nice attractive price. As soon as your are 3-4 months in your lease, they will increase the price by over 50%! When you question them on it, they will point out to you the fine print of their lease agreement that states they can change the terms of your lease with 30 days notice. This means they can increase your rate to whatever they want by just mailing you a letter. I trying calling and speaking with multiple people including corporate and they will not help me. They reason I had to get the storage unit is that I had to move my family out of out house due to loosing my job from the pandemic. I spent weeks finding the most affordable storage unit company. Come to find out that these people are just about the money. I've never paid them late and they think people will just pay the increased rent because theyre too lazy to move their stuff again. read more

The rate increase is just non-stop at this place. The monthly rate is almost double of what we started with, and it wasn't that long ago. Bait and switch all the way!! Getting everything out of this storage facility. Entry doors often seem to malfunction along with the elevators. There's often not enough carts either. Just done with this place. read more

I had to rent a storage unit for my daughter to store her stuff over the summer since she is away at college. This is my first time ever renting a storage unit, and I have to say that Patrick and Brynn went above and beyond in customer service. Brynn took a lot of time to walk my college aged daughter around to show her how to get into each of the doors, and showed her how to make sure her unit is secure and how to open it. They were both very friendly, and the facility is very clean. In fact when we drove up, Patrick was outside sweeping all around. Also, the facility is climate controlled, which is nice since those Arizona summers get extremely hot. We feel very comfortable with them! read more

DO NOT RENT AT THIS STORAGE FACILITY . The storage has been broken into several times and multiple units cleaned out by thieves and this storage facility is doing nothing at all to fix the problem weeks later they haven't changed the security codes and the storage since the first robbery has been robbed again. Also came in the evening to take my storage out and there was absolutely no lighting on the exterior of the building why I ask. They also claim that they won't or can't walk the inside daily to check and see if any of the units have been broken into. You might as well just put your possessions on the field outside it might be safer. My friends unit was broken into and they didn't inform him till 12 days later. Piece of advice if you want a secure storage facility DONT rent from these guys. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Had such a great experience with Bren when we rented our first unit we came back and rented a second one during the transition of moving out of our house. Then we came to meet Patrick. This guy is amazing! It's rare that you meet someone that has such focus on customer service and attention to detail and knows all the customers names, their history, needs, requests etc.. he's incredible!! This is the second storage place we've used but we won't need to shop anymore because this place was really a perfect set-up for storage. For starters, Jenn and Patrick are very professional and friendly and are always cleaning! Every time we came over to our locker for something I'd see them sweeping or cleaning something and that's why the place looks like it was built yesterday but they said they've been there awhile. The restroom looks like one you'd find in a restaurant and is spotless! They also offer wine storage and safe deposit boxes in a vault, plus all the moving type items one may need from boxes to locks. They also offer a moving van for people that rent there that is a screaming deal! Keep that in mind instead of multiple trips in the minivan or SUV. We were there almost a year, I think, and never had a single problem. If we have storage needs again we will go back to this location. My brother and I lrent a unit here and ove love love CubeStorage and their staff at Chandler location!!! They have more fleixible hours for access in compared to other storages, and this location has a conference room that you can use for business meeting, quiet time, as well as a business center with computer and printer access!!! This is the cleanest storage facility around. I have used several storage facilities across the valley and this one by far is well maintained. I shopped recently three other facilities within two miles of my home and this was the best pricing for climate controlled units (by as much as 20%!). I worked with Patrick Burns and he was great, informative, friendly, and professional. Brynn and Jenn are always nice and greet you with a smile. Just about every time I am at the facility one or more them are cleaning up the grounds or the inside of the storage hallways. Best deal and great staff, secure facility, you can't ask for anything better! The location is great too since the entrance and exit is not directly on the main road (Gilbert Rd). I have been at this Cube Smart location for several years now, and off and on have had between 1 and 5 units. Currently I still have two and cannot wait to get out. At first everything was great. Really for about the first six months, everything was wonderful and William was very helpful. BUT, after about six months then I started to see my rates climb (without any notice or warning). A unit that initially cost me about $70 is now $160. When Cube Smart is asked about this, all I am told is that this is a "market adjustment". In addition to paying more and more as time goes on, my account is ALWAYS messed up. Granted, I have had several units which may make keeping them straight hard for management. But, because of THEIR inability to keep track of things, I was paying ahead on one unit while the other was "falling behind". So, one unit showed a $300 credit, and the other was behind. OK, this can happen. I get that. But when I go to my unit at 2 in the afternoon and am locked out and in a hurry, I'm not to happy. Thought well, I'll go to the office and get it straightened out. Sign on the door says "back in 15 minutes". Three hours later and 10 phone calls later, I finally get someone to show up to open my unit. Then, I am told it is all my fault for not "properly registering on the website" and not even given an apology. Although I liked this place at first, the prices continue to rise and the service continues to drop. I just yesterday spent an hour in the office trying to get them to get my access card to work. Should have been an easy fix, but I wasted more time due to their incompetence. AVOID THIS PLACE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED AND TREATED POORLY. read more

From the very first time my husband and I went to CubeSmart, we loved it. We were given a tour by Patrick, and introduced to Jen. Both of them were informative and very friendly. They didn't do a "hard sell" or push hard for a commitment from us. We were also impressed with the facility and knew right away we would get a unit there. We made a reservation, and then eventually came in to get a unit. We love the accessibility to our unit. I also love that every time we go in, Patrick and Jen remember our names and are always sure to say hi. That is great customer service. Like most people, 2016 was a rough year for my family and I. We had a last minute move out here from California. In Cali they didn't have our truck ready until much later than they said so by the time we got out here cubesmart would be closed. We called and told them this and they tried as hard as they could to help with our situation even offering to stay open a bit later so we could get our things in our storage, but the truck had been so late there was no way they could stay open until the time we would finally arrive. Life happened and we missed a payment, they were very polite and understanding, and we got it paid as soon as possible and squared away. When we moved our things out, again we had issues with the truck and the truck company had promised a dolly but when we went to pick up they didn't have any. Cubesmart was awesome enough to lend us theirs! I just really appreciate all that they did for my husband skyler and I. We were moving cross country and our new house wasn't ready so we decided to pack up the car and head out for an extended road trip. When we got to AZ, we realized we had too much stuff to keep loading and unloading out of the car as we traveled from place-to-place. We decided we needed a small (3'x3') locker in a climate controlled facility to hold some of our "stuff" so we wouldn't have to lug everything from place to place. We had been to several storage unit places in the greater Phoenix area and then we found CubeSmart in Chandler. It was a bit farther away than we wanted (we were spending a lot of time in Scottsdale); however, we just couldn't find anything. We decided to check out the Chandler location and once we met William McBride (a manager), and told him what we were looking for and how difficult a time we had been having, he showed us EXACTLY what we wanted. This is by far the nicest storage facility we looked at (with tons of different storage options), all at very reasonable prices. We visited the unit many times over 6 months and it was always clean, well-lit, and bug-free. The office is open 7 days a week and the access hours are more than reasonable. William remembered us every time we were in and made a point to say hello (and even offer us a bottle of cold water)!
