I spoke with Terry on the phone, who was not only extremely sympathetic but gave me all the information quickly and efficiently to get me a storage unit a few miles away from our current apartment. I was immediately contacted by Miranda at the location we are storing at to confirm my reservation I had made only minutes prior with Terry. With only 30 minutes till close on a Saturday afternoon, Miranda showed us the storage unit and completed all of our paperwork in about the same amount of time we spent standing in line at UHaul. As it turns out, the cost for a unit twice the size with a drive up door was less than the pathetic, incorrectly reserved unit we were supposed to get through UHaul. Even with the insurance they require you to purchase, I would pick this place to save yourself some stress. The only real issue we have had was getting our heavier items in storage up the small incline our storage unit sits on. My boyfriend is an auto mechanic and picking up an elephant might be easier than moving this thing! Needless to say, it was a challenge getting it into the unit with only two people. Perhaps, request a unit with more even access should you choose to store here! At the end of a horrible day, Public Storage was a life saver... we even joked that perhaps we went through the nightmare of a day with Uhaul to end up with exceptional service at Public Storage, instead!

There are elevators on site and carts to move your items in and out of the units with ease. I recommend purchasing a lock on site. It is easier with this lock than a normal padlock. There are four sizes of the rooms. The largest is a large 10x15. I find getting the largest unit was better and few dollars more for the unit value. The next is 10x10. They have two smaller units. When you select a unit, be to remember your access code. You are going to need it to where the units are and to ride the elevators. Be sure to return any cats you use, it's a good sign of proper use in a storage facility. The two top mangers Paula and Howard are super nice along with the rest of the staff. You have a three day grace period to pay your dues before a late charge is applied. To prevent late charges, they accept auto pay. The units are open 9:00am to 9:00 pm Monday -Sunday. The staff is on duty from 9am-6pm. Be sure to be out by 9:00 or you will get locked in. They also have boxes and pack stuff in the office.

There has been a known rodent problem since September that management has failed to properly address or communicate to tenants. Several of my belongings were damaged, and others exposed to mice excrement as pictured. The only response from management has been to place glue traps, which do nothing to resolve the larger issue. When I requested to move units because of the infestation, I was initially offered a new one at a higher rate, which I found shocking and poor customer service, and then moved to another unit on the same floor--only to find that one quickly infested as well. Despite acknowledging the rodent issue, management offered no meaningful assistance or compensation beyond insurance that didn't cover the extent of the damage. This experience was extremely disappointing. Avoid storing your items here, and if you are currently stored on the 3rd floor, I would strongly suggest checking your items for signs of rodents.

They didn't even notice our break in with the RV next door having a wide open door. Ours had the locks drilled out. My point in writing another review is to emphasize that in the years that they have been open they have done nothing additional to secure the property. Our last storage facility had the rolled barbed wire on top of their fence and we never had a problem there. The only reason we left was because the property sold and it was no longer going to be a storage facility. Bergstrom Storage doesn't care. They will just rent to the next rv owner that walks in the revolving door. That is why it is month to month I suppose.

When you perhaps need a lock cut or need anything of the storage unit nature, it's not as easy as walking into their office. But when you have the appointment, they are so helpful and nice.
