We stopped by for a few appetizers in the late afternoon and were impressed by the food quantity/quality, atmosphere, and service. I had sangria, marinated olives, Manchego cheese, spinach croquettes, and complimentary bread. Hubby had the non-vegetarian croquettes and potato salad with tuna. Everything was fresh, seasoned perfectly, and bigger portions than we were expecting. Perfect place to sit outside and soak up the culture of Little Havana. read more

Cafeteria vibes. Amazing guac & tacos. It's a order & deliver service for food. Great last min late night spot if your craving Mexican!

Taking a stroll down Calle Ocho with the family, and we became hungry. Looking for a place to eat on Yelp, Cubata came up. We decided to give it a try. The owner Alejandro served us. We order a tabla platter with cold meats and cheese, croquetas, truffle fries, and pan con tomate. We ordered Sangrias that were to die for. Overall, great food and fantastic customer service. Definitely we will return and I highly recommend this place. read more

You'll have a hard time finding better Spanish tapas anywhere in Miami. It's that good here. We had the tuna tartare, pulpo a la gallega, ceviche de corvina, and Pinot Grigio (at the lovely waiter's recommendation). Everything was flavorful and perfectly portioned. The tuna was on a base of smooth avocado, topped with a light sauce and sesame seeds. The pulpo a la gallega, resting on a bed of scalloped potato, was smokey and warm. Tender and perfectly textured. Ever have tough octopus with chewy skin? Not here you won't. The ceviche was citrusy, refreshing, and served with red onion strips cooked in the citric acid. I know it's not the traditional Calle Ocho food, but if you enjoy tapas do yourself a favor and stop in. Even if you're not sure, give it a try. You'll thank me later. read more

Cubata is a restaurant situated in the heart Little Havana, in Calle Ocho. Little Havana has become a hot spot place for local and tourists alike to eat, shop and people watch. As you enter the place, the setting is quaint with Spanish inspired decor throughout. At any table, you have a wonderful view of the bar where you can see the bartenders crafting their signature cocktails. For those looking to sit outside, there are about 5 small tables, perfect for enjoying the south Florida weather and people watching. There is a nice, small list of cocktails, beer and wine that will suit your current mood. We decided to have a couple of glasses of wine from the house list. At first I had the Tempranillo, to be honest, I found it to be sweet and a little off for being a Tempranillo. The staff, was very accommodating and switched me over to the cab which was more my style. The service was a bit slow for a Saturday afternoon, but the staff was very nice. We did not get the chance to try any of the food, only because we ate a big lunch prior to visiting, but we hope to return, especially for happy hour. read more

If you want to have a really good time and enjoy a great meal, plus outstanding drinks? Then I recommend this place, you can't go wrong on the cuisine and fabulous environment which includes live music. The drinks are off the chain, lot's of choices! You can't go wrong visiting Cubata. read more

My wife and I wandered into Cubata and had the orange chicken and a cubata cubano sandwich, followed by rice pudding. Everything was presented well and tasted great. While we ate our lunch, a constant stream of walking food tours came through, so we realized the guides in the area know it is a great experience for their customers too. Our server George was attentive and friendly. read more

Walked up and down Little Havana and worked up an appetite. The worst thing that can happen to a hungry tourist is become ... a HANGRY TOURIST! Hahahahaha! The service was just super slow... sloth-like. But once the food started coming out and my drink got served, the monster in me just melted away. Weren't many reviews but they had live music and outdoor seating so we took a chance. The food was fantastic. We had the best caprese sandwich and vegetarian avocado sandwich along with Parmesan French fries. (Hard to find anything vegetarian in a Cuban neighborhood). I think it's a Spanish restaurant given the Iberico ham and manchego cheese- quality -quality food and great mojitos as well! read more

Where do I start?!? This place was made for me!! LOL I love a good tapas spot, and I think I've found my go to one! I found this restaurant because they requested me on Instagram. They are so new, that their website is not up yet. I'm so happy they reached out, because I would have never found this gem! When you walk in the place has a Spanish feel to it, lighting was great and music to match the mood. The server, Brian was sooooo nice! He knew when to come to our table, and was gracious at all times. The food, THE FOOD! YUMMMMMMM!! My sister and I had a board with a delicious assortment of cheeses and meats! We also ordered pan con tomate and a caprese salad sandwich. The dessert, arroz con leche! I don't think I've ever tasted one before, and if I have it is no where near as AMAZING as theirs! Very hospitable, delicious food, beautiful place! I will be back, and will be a regular!! :) read more

Don't go unless you like to be ignored. Our party ordered sandwiches, they each came at different times. It's not that complicated to make ham/cheese sandwiches. We were never checked on and we had to refill our own water from the bar. Insult to injury, they automatically charged 18% tip without an opportunity to pay what we felt the dinner deserved. Boring food(matchstick potatoes from smart and final) and poor service. read more

What a pleasant surprise in the heart of Little Havana. Cubata is just the right size for a tapas and wine bar. Enough seating for a good crowd but nothing too overwhelming that might impact service. The decor and branding is right on point. The food was absolutely delectable. My sister and I ordered way too much but I'd do it over in a heart beat. We had the Pan con Tomate and a Tabla of meats and cheeses to start. We then got a caprese sandwich which had the perfect blend of pesto and seasoning. We enjoyed a red blend wine through which exquisitely complimented the meal. We closed our evening with the most delectable Arroz con Leche I have ever had. They've only been open for a week so I highly recommend going before the secret is out. read more

Pan con tomate, croquetas, and garlic shrimp were perfectly made. They have main dishes but we didn't try them . I was told the chef is Cuban but lived many years in Spain. It shows as the tapas are expertly executed. We had one of the best mojitos in Miami!! Service was attentive We were not expecting it but they had excellent live music.
