This place was a pleasant surprise. First of all their weekend deal is hard to beat given the quality of their food. Matcha latte was good. Chicken and tuna melts were both delicious. Plenty of filling, so very satiating. I also tried their wraps, which were really good. Everything tastes so fresh. However, those kiosk do not give the option to customize. You can omit things from your smoothie but you can't sub. I visited carrot express before leaving for my cruise and I'm so glad I did. I wanted a healthier option and this place does it right! I was really excited to try this spot but after today's lunch I was left feeling underwhelmed. I opted for half sandwich/half salad. I chose the chicken salad on ciabatta with a Caesar salad side. Being that their prices are quite premium I imagined the lunch to be on par. It was a bunch of very low grade romaine with a few pieces of dark green leafy lettuce on top. The croutons were stale. The dressing barely tasted like Caesar dressing but was labeled as such. I will say the sandwich was better but even then it was kinda dull in flavor. I guess it's better than fast food but at these prices I'd expect more quality. The service was nice and because of that I threw in an extra star. They gave me an extra dressing as asked which was necessary because the dressing portion is very small. Judging from their menu pics online, i expected premium dark green lettuce get instead it was a bunch of the finely chopped romaine that is almost white in color. So here's the thing. The first time I went, it was fantastic. The helping was generous, the food was delicious and it was pretty fast. Every time I've been there since (5x) it has gone downhill. Each time the prep is different. Each time the wait has been longer. This time (today) the portions were small. I could barely even cut my chicken breast, which I paid extra for. You really need to get your act together. Work on your standards, or you're not gonna make it in this world of choices. Carrot express is our go to lunch delivery! The food is tasty, healthy and fresh. The portion sizes are great ! ( I often eat half of mine for lunch and save the other half for the next day!) I highly recommend the miso salmon bowl. I'm not even a fan of salmon, but try to eat it occasionally for health reasons and there's really good. It served over a bit of cilantro rice with avocado, butternut squash, and steamed broccoli. They give you a really nice salmon fillet and you can add any sauce to it you like. I've also had the salmon Scottish platter before, as well, and that is good too. It just doesn't come with vegetables. Tuna melt is also tasty good salads, wraps, etc. Whenever we've gone into the Brickell location, the service has always been friendly and good. There's not much of an ambience as it's sort of a healthy fast food chain.. an open space with tables and chairs. Finally Carrot Express comes to Brickell!! Located inside of the Sabadell building, it's nestled right behind the Coffee Bar. There are so many healthy and yummy options, I went with the Legal Wrap. The wrap hits the spot without leaving you in a food coma, and the cilantro sauce goes perfectly with it. A must try is their carrot cake, probably one of the best carrot cakes I've tasted and this will definitely leave you craving more and potentially put you in a food coma.
